  If you're most concerned with how I like to RP, feel free to skip to the tab labeled, 'Looking For'. Otherwise, here's a short introduction of myself!
  
  

  My name is Persephone. I found my first RP partners through Deviantart, back in the good ol' days of Summer 2013. (I actually can't remember if it was 2013 or a year or two earlier, but I was like 14 and the first RP I ever did was a 1x1x1 that continued every day for an entire Summer.) I continued Roleplaying with three different people until I was about 19, when I lost contact with those friends. Unfortunately, sometimes life gets in the way, or you grow interests in different directions. But, the worst is when you stop getting along. A few years later, I've met some amazing people, but none managed to stick as those first three did.
  
  That brings us to where we are now. You: reading this thread in search of a new person to write and create with. Me: The one writing way more than necessary in hopes that she'll draw in a new friend and long-term RP buddy.
  
  Here's hoping that we both find what we're looking for.

  ♡ I'm 23, almost 24 years old.
  

  → Did you know that you start dying around the age of 25? Our cells regenerate instead of dying, until around the age of 25 when your cells start to decay.

  
  ♡ I live in the PST timezone, though my sleep schedule can be quite hectic at times. As of right now, I wake up at noon.
  
  ♡ I used to roleplay in fandoms almost exclusively, but now I mostly create original stories and worlds.
  

  → I first started writing because of roleplaying. I discovered my passion for storytelling and the craft of writing because of it.

  
  ♡ I like my roleplays to be quick and snappy with lots of character interactions, but I can get into moods and/or scenes where I basically just want to write a short story in response.
  

  → My minimum response is usually a 4 to 5 sentence minimum. However, I won't force myself to write more than what I feel like is required, so I may occasionally do something shorter than that. Just know that my priority is still giving you something you can respond to.
  → On the other hand, I've written 1500 words for a single reply before.
  → I'm a very go-with-the-flow kind of writer, so I want to write whatever feels right in the scene. I see roleplaying almost like... we're writing our own personal novel. I hope to find someone that feels the same.

  ♡ Hobbies I have (outside of writing) include, but are not limited to: Gaming, Daydreaming, Self-Reflecting and Self-Progressing, and blasting music on full volume knowing damn well I'm going to kill my ears some day.
  

  → I mostly play The Sims 4 all day, but I also enjoy RPG's such as Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Skyrim. I also play Fortnite on the side, though I mostly just let my friends carry me, lmao.
  → My current obsession is definitely interactive fiction, though. I love a good game, but I also love a good book. Interactive fiction does a wonderful job of combining the two.

  
  ♡ A big motivator that drove me to seek out roleplaying again is that I lost a lot of drive to write two years ago. I made some mistakes that led to anxiety when I thought about writing, so I stopped for over a year and just played with ideas in my head. While I've gotten better, I'm nowhere near the level that I want to be at. Both in terms of skill and consistency of writing. That lack of fulfillment lead me back to where it all began: Roleplaying. I'm hoping that I can go back to my roots and remember why I loved writing so much in the first place.
  
  ♡ I also only have so many shits to give, so I tend to accidentally gloss over spelling errors. I wouldn't be surprised if you've come across a few already. I'm just going to apologize now, lmao.

  → I am nearing my mid-twenties, so I feel most comfortable with anyone 20+. However, my requirement is 18+.
  → I'm okay with 18+ RPs (off site, obviously) once I get to know my partner and get more comfortable with them, if that's something you're interested in. Otherwise, I have no qualms with fading to black.
  → I've only RPed with other girls, so that's what I naturally gravitate towards and am most comfortable/familiar with. However, I won't turn a guy away if there's an idea I'm excited about.
  → I can RP here on the forums, in PMs, Discord, or Google Docs--whatever you prefer.
  → OOC chats are essential to me. If you don't want to be friends, then it's better you find someone else.
  → I need someone who is okay with at least light swearing in both OOC chat and in the RP. I don't swear like a sailor, but I enjoy dropping the occasional F-bomb.
  → I would really love to have a 1x1x1 (poly or non-poly) RP and while it's certainly not a requirement, it will make me 3x more excited(haha, get it? lame joke, sorry--).

  → My minimum is 4-5 sentences, except for certain circumstances. Technically, I don't have a minimum or a maximum requirement. I want you to write however much or little you deem necessary for a scene, so if you occasionally need to just send a dialogue response, that's fine by me. Of course, I don't want to see that all the time.
  → Must be okay with me occasionally sending 750+ word posts (which take a while to write). Sometimes I just get really into it, okay?
  → This also counts for multiple character posts. (Average 4-5 sentence post per character perspective)
  → I like fast-paced responses, so I enjoy a partner who can respond multiple times a day on most days. Either that or we both have an hour or two of free time where we sit down together to RP. However, I also don't mind daily or bi-daily responses.
  → Romance is a necessity for me, I'll lose interest in an idea otherwise.
  → I can write in both first and third person, though I frequently like to do specific perspectives for certain characters. Just don't ask me to choose between past and present tense. I'm notorious at switching tenses multiple times in a single post. If that's something that bothers you, keep that in mind, lmao.
  → Ideally, I'd like it if you were open to doubling. Given the right idea and characters, I don't mind OCxOC, though. Also, if you're open to doubling with a third person, please tell me so.

  → I always like to write a self-insert-y female character. (I hesitate to refer to it as a full self-insert because I rarely just insert myself cut and dry into a story. I prefer to think of how living in a different world would shape me as a person and make that person my character.) I understand that a lot of people would find this uncomfortable, so I wanted to give a heads-up.

  → I can do MxF, FxF, MxM, FxNB, MxNB, NBxNB. I'm LGBTQ+ friendly and I'd like someone who is as well, even if we're doing MxF, as I frequently like writing more diverse characters.
  → I adore darker themes and story elements. And while I'm okay avoiding darker things if you're not comfortable with it, I'll be very sad, lmao.
  → I enjoy a lot of genres, though I like them a lot more when they're blended together. Sci-fi is great. Fantasy is great. Sci-fi Fantasy is even better. (To me, at least.) If you throw an interesting idea at me, I don't care what the genre is. I don't normally read mysteries, but if we have some murder mystery on our hands, I'm 110% down for some mystery.
  → Despite romance being a necessity for me, I like to have a major plot. I generally prefer romance when the couple is overcoming plot obstacles together.
  → I like to build story and plot with my partner, so don't expect me to throw any whole ideas at you. If I wanted to do it by myself, I'd just go write a novel. (Which I already am, BUT--)
  → I also like to come up with base character concepts together, but we ultimately create and decide upon the characters we're writing for.
  → While I think it's more interesting to watch a character fail and struggle, I'm not bothered by overpowered characters, so long as they aren't always winning against mine. If an overpowered character is what makes you happy, then go for it. Communication is key here, though.

  → I typically aim for a 4 to 5 sentence minimum, but sometimes it doesn't feel necessary to me, so I don't see a point in adding extra words or sentences to make a lengthier post.

  The One Fleshed Out Idea
  

  I originally wasn't going to add this, but I figured if someone was interested in it, then... maybe??​

  Muse A x Muse B​

  Muse A is a Sophomore/Junior transfer student at an all-girls' boarding school. Her first few days at the new school pass without any trouble, but strange things start happening after one morning she wakes up to a strange blue rose on her bedside table. Upon showing the unnaturally colored rose to her roommate, she learns about some rumors of odd deaths and disappearances of previous students after receiving a blue rose. However, the last "incident" was rumored to be over two decades ago, so the girls chalk it up to someone trying to pull a prank. After some time passes and nothing occurs, the girls almost forget about the supposed prank. During this time, Muse A runs into the young, attractive librarian's assistant--Muse B--while searching for some research material. After their initial encounter, Muse A returns to the quiet, back corner of the library where she met Muse B. There, she continues to go to study and work on schoolwork. Meanwhile, a single blue rose starts appearing in the same place on the same day of every week.​

  One day, Muse B isn't in their usual spot, so Muse A goes searching for them, only to discover a hidden door ajar. She follows an unkempt staircase up to a secret balcony where she discovers Muse B. (Insert plot here) As Muse A and Muse B grow closer, odd ghastly events start happening around the school and blue roses start getting dropped off for Muse A with rapid frequency and numbers. Oh, and the oddest part? The dozens of near-death encounters Muse A keeps running into. Eventually, the odd events pick up in such high intensity that one student is gravely injured/killed, leaving the school no other option but to shut down. The only problem? There now seems to be a raging storm focused solely on the school, leaving everyone unable to leave. While trapped inside, Muse A discovers a book containing the information of the last owners of the estate that became the prestigious boarding school. Inside, she discovers portraits of the family, one of which looked particularly familiar: Muse B, the librarian's assistant. But, when Muse A asks the librarian about the man, she's shocked to discover that the librarian has no assistant and has never seen anyone that looks like Muse B before. And much to Muse A's dismay, her fellow students give her the same answer. And even more distressing, Muse B is nowhere to be found and the secret balcony is sealed away tight as if it never existed.​

  Muse A is convinced she didn't imagine anything, so she starts investigating the old estate in hopes that she can discover something to help them as the storm shows no signs of lessening. Meanwhile, Muse A's roommate does some research of her own and looks up the blue rose victims, only to discover they were a lot more real than rumor and they all looked very similar... including Muse A. And after putting together multiple puzzle pieces, Muse A realizes that Muse B is a ghost and their soul was trapped to the estate, fixated on one thing: The woman he fell in love with, but never got the chance to be with... a woman with a striking resemblance to Muse A.​
