Going along with spoiler tabs...

❛ it's only love, nobody dies ❜
Hey there, I'm not sure exactly how to word this, so I'm just gonna go for it. I have a RP request thread (it's here: Plots - †† one-x-ones [NEW plots added 10.23.15] | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum) and I use the spoiler tabs to separate my plots. But for some reason, they've multiplied, and now I have two spoiler tabs for Original Plots, and two for Fandoms. Even when I go into it to edit it, and get rid of the multiples, they just come back.

I've seen other peoples threads with different spoiler-type boxes, and I was wondering how I can get them, or if there's some other type of editing I can do. I can show what I mean by giving a link to a thread, I'd just have to find one.

So hopefully someone can help me. xD

Are you using the rich text editor? If so, your spoilers within spoilers is going to get screwed up. Why? Because the rich text editor sucks. It also isn't the best way to contain information, either. I suggest using headers to separate your different plots, and put all of the actual plot content within a single spoiler. This way, it's easier and less obnoxious.

Turn off the RTE, fix your coding, and it should be okay.

Is a header like a spoiler tab, where it opens up with the information? Thanks for your quick response, by the way!

Alternately, you could use tabs or accordions to display your RP plots. I took a quick peek at your coding and there is a lot, a lot of spoiler tags, so the potential for the tags to mess up is very high.

No, a header is the following:

[h]Header[/h]

Header

It does not open up, which would complete the "less obnoxious" goal on the coding list. Like some five-year-olds, coding inception is cute, but it's annoying. It's not as aesthetically pleasing as the other, various options you have and it can be harder to navigate.

I know there's alot, and the more I add, the more screwy it gets.

What do you mean, Captain Hesperus, about tabs or accordians?

Tabs are the following:

[tabs][tab=title]lorem ipsum[/tab][tab=title]lorem ipsum[/tab][tab=title]lorem ipsum[/tab][/tabs]

  • lorem ipsum

And accordion is the following:

[accordion]{slide=title}lorem ipsum{/slide}

{slide=title}lorem ipsum{/slide}

{slide=title}lorem ipsum{/slide}[/accordion]

title
lorem ipsum
title
lorem ipsum
title
lorem ipsum

No worries. If you have any more questions, just message me.
