Fantasy Godly Knights

The Gil submitted a new resource:

Godly Knights - Fear the gift

My grandfather used to tell me stories about when all of this started. It always amused me, you know? Because, you see, it's a bit ironic. Humanity always wanted power, they wanted to tame the world fot themselves and then say "This is mine, I owned it". And then, we got we asked for. Everybody was shocked when that baby was born, and they were all like "oh my god, he can blow fire!". They talked about him being the son of the devil, some shit like that, but then more and more people started to born with those "unique gifts", and then science started to explain what was happening, saying it wasn't evolution and it was nothing about god or the devil. Everyone could just accept us as we are, we did nothing to them really. But no, people chose to hate us... And I really don't understand why. I always worked hard and before joining the force I had to spend all of my life without using my powers even once. And people still hate me. I know that sometimes I can be in a hard position, after all I am the chief of the Quick Action Response Team, but it's not reason for anyone to hate me. Maybe they just envy me. I have powers and the government gave a license to use it, so that makes every people hate me: The normal humans, because they don't have any powers, and the mutants, because they're not allowed to use what they have. I've never heard anything about the vigilantes, but I'm pretty sure they hate me too.

Interviewer: Changing the subject, what information do you have about the death of Julie Trevor?

Well, we can't really give away information about the investigation right now, but we got a lot of leads on the killer and we think we'll be catching him soon. A hate crime like this definetely will not go unpunished.

Interviewer: One last question, Mr. Rogers. Do you think this situation we live in will ever change? I mean, the whole thing against you mutants?

Yes, absolutely. I believe soon people will realize that we're humans, just like them.

~~~
It's tough living in these times. Especially when you're a mutant. You gotta deal with a lot of a crap. And now they're killing them on the streets. But that's how it is, if you don't defend yourself, you fall down. Can you help them? Can you take down this murderer, get him out of the streets? (Or out of life?) Who are you with: The QART (Quick Action Response Team), the vigilantes, a mutant that's completely forbidden of using his powers, one of the rule breakers (Vigilantes) or are you just human?
The Gil updated Godly Knights with a new update entry:
First Posts
Okay people, we shall start soon, there's four characters already. I'll post an intro post about the murder with my NPC, and after that I'll be GMing you around. Also, there's a good reason on why I didn't asked any character history on the blank character sheet. I'll need you guys to PM a little bit about their stories, and through that I will pick the murderer.
Send me ASAP, so we can start! ^-^
The Gil updated @Parliament of Flies ): "A pretty big explosion, huh?"
Female Police officer in Toguro's room ( @Blood dog ): "Well, that must have been quite a shock".
Male Police officer in Irene Beck's room ( @Bea Delaine ): "Good morning, sunshine".
Irene Beck hadn't remembered at that moment of waking up why she bothered going out in the first place. Well, now someone had to have hold of her name and accurate age. And she... well her head felt quite heavy so escaping or talking the man out of the room was out of the question. Too much of a headache to manipulate and evade, so she attempted the "talk nicely and perhaps some answers will come with minimal questioning" technic. Usually a pretty safe one.
"Hm... good morning. Last night must have been pretty fun to wake up this hung over, right? Sorry, but Im not in the mood for role play, no matter what I told you previously." She chuckled, insinuating having been joking.
"Anways, Im trying to take in the incident which... brought me here. Can you help me out? M' head hurts."
His voice catches in his throat for a moment, and he pauses to gain his composure. He felt sick and slightly dizzy, but he could probably handle it. He's felt worse before and he probably will again.
"Y-yeah, it was pretty big... do you know what happened? It kinda took me by surprise."
He looked the cop over quickly. He seemed like quite a professional guy, probably one of those less serious guys though. That was probably for the best, Jack couldn't stand overly serious people. He sat up a little bit, his head throbbing, making him wince in pain. He should consider himself lucky though, he could've lost a limb.
"Did it now? Did it took you by surprise? Did it really?". Malcolm leaned a little bit over Jack, looking him in the eyes. "Or maybe, it didn't surprised you". The police officer got up from his chair and started to walk around the room, with Jack's file on his hands. "This might shock you, Mr. Quill, but the QART actually have a file on you. A bit of things from your past that are pretty dubious, to say at least. Some might say it's even... Suspicious". The officer stopped, looking at Jack. Malcolm didn't actually thought the man was guilty, but he was in police for so long that the only part he could play was the whole bad cop thing. He couldn't get out of his role, not now. He thought the boy wasn't guilty, but he couldn't be sure.
Well, wasn't that a hasty one? Jonhson grinned at her upon hearing her words. To him, that was just ridiculous. He thought a girl like wasn't the kind that could do such a massive terrorist attack. "Calm down, snowflake. I wish we've had a pleasant night, but that wasn't the case. You're here because, well, ambulance don't usually leave wounded people on the streets. They usually drive them to the hospitals. Maybe your real question should be why I'm here". Johnson got up and walked towards the bathroom, washing his hands on the sink. He got back to his chair on the side of Irene bed and took her file that was over her bed.
He looked the cop over quickly.She seemed like quite a professional,he sat up a little bit, his head throbbing, making him wince in pain. He should consider himself lucky though"too normal person yes."He got out his QART badge thay have given it to him since he got a contract with them"this should classify me."
Irene swollowed deeply, seeing the file and sat up in a way that left her regretting the sudden movement. Still, what had she there that would make hee seem that much of a threat? At most suspicious. No. At most, dangerous for her to confront her own skeletons.
As she settled, seated comfortably, she grinned. "Ah yes. Perseptive. Ambulances really do tend to not leave dying people everywhere. In fact one might call that.. inhumane."
Her joking took a more gentle tone as purple eyes scanned those of the officer and then the file. "I would in fact like to know why youre here. Maybe why my identity is relevent as well if you dont mind."
He scowled at the man, he didn't like the tone he was using. He also hated people keeping tabs on him, it felt like a tad invasive for him. He regained his composure before replying, not wanting trouble from a cop because he ran his mouth without thinking.
"That is quite a shock, I gotta say. Listen, ya can investigate all ya want. It don't bother me. I ain't gonna bother with the whole 'I'm innocent' line because that's just a waste o' my breath. I'll just let you do your stuff and let you come t' that conclusion yerself." He had a smirk painted on his face as he said this, looking the cop right in the eyes. "What kinda stuff do ya have on me anyway? Hope it ain't much. I don't like people havin' a lotta info about me."
Mariah looked at the badge with shock. That man was a QART officer! It was hard to stay professional dealing with one of the big ones. Still, they told her to interrogate him any way, even knowing what he was, so that was exactly what she should do, even if it would be uncomfortable. "Yes, thank you for clearing this up, but this doesn't do much good around here. You see, you're still a suspect. Maybe you shouldn't be worried too much... I'm... I'm just... Gonna make a few routine questions". This was new to her, but she had to control herself.
Johnson smiled looking at the file, in an attempt to make her more uncomfortable. "Calm down, just let me take a look at the rest of file". He read the three pages in it and then turn back at the woman. "We pulled out the files of everyone involved. You know how it is, terrorism, shit like this... We can't just rule out everyone. Especially the ones who have", he pointed to the papers in his hands. "Files".
Malcom slightly got back upon hearing the tone of the man. He liked that. That was how a innocent person would act, or not. There were still questions to be made. He took the file and placed it in his chair, closed. He turned back to the man, with a serious face.
"No looking. You see, it would be really dumb of me to tell everything we got on you. Let's just say there's a lot of stuff. A LOT of stuff. Let's start with what you and me already know, how about the street crimes, you know, wallets?"
He grumbles slightly, not liking that their library of information on him was extensive. His trademark smirk returned upon the mention of the pickpocketing.
"A guy's gotta get by, man. It was rough for me back then. Went days without food, got real thin. When I saw an opportunity I grabbed at it and held on fer dear life. If it wasn't for that job I probably would've starved to death in am alleyway."
He didn't expect the cop to understand, the authorities always tend to understand it the least of them all. Sure they understand that people commit crimes because they're desperate, but they can never truly understand unless they've experienced it themselves.
Irene nodded slowly, listening. Figuring out how much push it would take before she got an answer, and how much would just piss this officer off. Weighing the pros and cons of making a snarky remark about how much more ominous she would seem if they had nothing on her, she decided the push wasnt worth ruining a currently pleasant mood. A friendly tone in such a situation was unusual and sure to be short lived.
Leaning her head back to show calming, she returned the grin. "Hm.. if there is nothing to discuss as far as my case goes, assuming that there are no relevant skeletons in there. Hehe.. may i know what exactly happened to the um.." she found herself hacing to try to remember, giving the officer a look of confusion. Being bright, she had not a history of head trauma and found the events a bit frustrating.
"The bank, why would it be destroyed in broad daylight?"
"My Name is Toguro I am 22 year old Chinese man i'm 10'3 foot tall my occupation is QART officer why was I there to get some money out of the bank I hope that satisfies your questions."He got up out of the bed and stretched a little."If there is any more questions I'll be happy to answer them just them quick so I can go report to the QART it will look sloppy if I didn't."
The man looked honest, but still, there were questions to be made. It wasn't up to Malcolm to decide whether the man was guilty or not. "Look, I know we all have our problems with the law, but somethings really worries me. Like, for instance, the fact that some years of your life aren't in our files. That's quite curious, to say at least. I will be letting you go now, but for the time being, keep watch of yourself. You might get a call from us, and in case you do, I suggest you pick up the phone".
"Well, why wouldn't it? It's a weird world lady. You can expect anything out of it. Besides, it looks like it was another of those hate crimes against the mutants". Johnson opened his eyes widely, like a sudden moment of clarity had hit him. "By the way, you're a mutant, right? Not that's anything of my concern... Here's a fun fact: The clients from that bank that you're a part of are mostly mutants. I think that's why it was attacked".
"My Name is Toguro I am 22 year old Chinese man i'm 10'3 foot tall my occupation is QART officer why was I there to get some money out of the bank I hope that satisfies your questions."He got up out of the bed and stretched a little."If there is any more questions I'll be happy to answer them just them quick so I can go report to the QART it will look sloppy if I didn't."
"Sir, I... I apologize for the incovenience. They asked me, so I... I just had to question you. But I believe that's something you can work out on the office". Mariah saluted him, placing her hand on her forehead. "But... I think they'll question you the same way there. It's not anything... It's just that you a-are... You know... What you are..."
(Sorry, was AFK solving personal issues, but I'm back now)
Rolls his eyes as he gets up, not liking his tone once again.
"Yeah, yeah, I know the drill. Catch you later, copper."
He waved at him and smirked, aiming to insult the man. He never liked cops and he was sure that he never would. They just weren't his kind of people. Its probable that his run-ins with the authorities at several points in his life is what caused his distaste for them but it the distaste was there nonetheless, and he revelled in driving the cops mad.
"And what is wrong with that.Let me guess you're just a human and you are absolutely afraid of me right now."He started to walk towards the door he open the door and bent down to go through it."have a nice rest of the day you probably have more people to question"He started walk down the hallway seeing no one else walking down it.
Irene slowly pulled long pale legs into her chest, eyes slowly glazing with thought. At least she wasn't being interrogated. As part of her plan on keeping conversation light and offense or self incrimination to a bare minimum, it seemed she was gaining useful info. "Another. hm.. I cannot help but think about the ties though. How likely it is for a mutant him or herself to have committed such an act. Some of the attacks seem way to out of the way of convenience to be caused my a non-mutant."
She looked back at the Officer and smiled light heartedly, standing up and offering a hand to shake before she left. "However that must seem farfetched.. And a little biased. Seems my headaches gone, Officer. Thank you for your time. Have any questions, well you seem to know enough to find me." She started out of the room.
The cops said that you are free to go. Good, isn't being questioned just an awful thing? Who knows what this people knows about you... Maybe this crime could actually concern you. Or not... Maybe you're just overreacting
Do you head to the exit of the hospital
or
Do you stay to find out more about the crime?
"this is just too weird for me to let up I will make contact with the person who hired me and see what he wants me to do."He leaned against the wall and pulled out his cell phone he went through his contacts until he found the number.He called him and when he picked up he said this"sir I am calling about the bank explosion I was one of the people who got caught in the explosion I am at the hospital right now I'm just wondering what you want me to do"
As she strode by, a phone conversation caught her attention. Someone in the explosion it seemed. She bent down, ears still perked to listen as she tied her shoe lace. Conveniently enough it really was untied. Lucky, right? The white haired Irene heard boss and couldnt help but be curious. He went to the bank.. was he a mutant? And why would he contact his work about such an instance?
Chilton was walking at every place of his office, worried. That explosion made everyone nervous, and the investigations were ablazed. He was about to have a burst. It was too much stress for him. His phone rang and he answered it. It was one of his QART men. What now? The man asked about the bank explosion, as it was expected. "Look, I got so many men on this investigation that I'm nearly running out of manpower on the streets, so don't poke your nose in it too much. Just... Let the guys do their job. I'm pretty sure we'll have problems with mutants and anti-mutants guys later for you to deal with. For instance, there's an angry crowd having a huge fight with the mutants near Orson Main Hospital. Where are you?"
(Orson Main Hospital is the hospital you are in!)
Jack headed to the door the first chance he got, aiming to untangle himself from this explosion business before he got to caught up in it. He'd hate to become more of a suspect than he already is by snooping around. Besides, the explosion was none of his business anyway. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, is all. He wasn't getting sucked into a mess like that if he could help it.
Toguro took a look round real quick and then he saw a sign saying Orson Main Hospital he slightly smiled but not enough to regular person to see."I am at that very hospital I will take care of them and only use 10% of my strength and one thing calm down I'm sure you can handle this"He got up and headed to the commotion.
A man walked inside the hospital door, with his head bleeding and begging for help before his head was blown to pieces. An angry was outside, some of them just throwing rocks, some of them with heavy weapons, shooting against the hospital. Apparently, they knew that most of the patients inside there now were mutants, and they were pissed. More and more rounds of bullets were hitting the walls of the hospital. The personal from inside started to run and hide. Some of the security died from the shots outside, dropping their guns near the reception.
The hospital is under attack.
