They are divided into two Categories, The four old world nations, discovered and settled While the Man-God was still with the people, and the Old world nations which were discovered, but not settled until AFTER balmonds betrayal.

History: The first Nation of man, Consisting of Seven ancient Cities built by Balmond over 1000 years ago after the end of the Armageddon conflict. Even after being occupied by man for so long this land is pristine and Verdent, kept so by its four freshwater lakes and the network of rivers that run off of them. Thes processes are helped along by strict zoning and resource regulations. The Four lakes Fenel, Porreal, Valen, And Tsunda Each have a City built on their shores. Kor-Tarrius is the capital sitting over a split in one of the tributary rivers connected to lake valen. Kor-Bolshok was once a fort placed to mark the birder of Okube and Kareen, but it has now grown into a fortified border city. Finally Por-Golan is the largest of all seven cities, and no surprises there as it is the Only port city connected to the sea. Much if the peoples day to day activity revolves around hard work and community collaboration. However this nation is well known for its explorers and wanderers seeking adventure, ancient relics, and the resting places/Treasure troves that the man-god left behind as he explored the landscape. Many of these explorers wind up lost forever in the Great Kareenay jungles, the worlds largest unmapped wilderness said to be potmarked to countless bogs, and rivers, which are in turn filled wirh Baloths, Undead, Cursed land, and of course the fabled Bog Titan. This culture of Exploration and Discovery has lead to many of the worlds natural wonders being discovered by Kareenish explorer, such as the Fingers of Nowehere, The crystal peaks of Gaimont, the bottomless lake of Theanos, and even the world spine mountains to the far northwest.
Politics/Culture: Politically speaking Kareen is a monarchal republic. Each of the seven cities has its own kind who rules on matters within their city and surrounding towns. Their resources and wealth typically give them a direct line to the kings ear, for if a mine is at risk so too are its hundred to thousands of workers. Beneath these Nobles are the Trademasters guilds, where Masons, Tailors, shipwrights, Merchants, blacksmiths, and even Madames can negotiate to meet the needs of their enterprises. This distribution of power while seemingly imbalanced is kept in check by the Knight houses. Families of Warriors and Scholars who study laws, outcomes, warfare, espionage, magic, and politics so as to understand the ruling class. That way they can identify and cut out any corruption that they find. They themselves are kept in check by their low standing in society keeping them living with commoners, and a statute of pure transparency between them and the population allowing any citizen to demand the written record of any case these knights handle. They often work closely with, and are selected from the Army and guard forces.
Magic: Kareen is only slightly above average on the magical power scale of nations. They do have a high number of mages due to the presence of Universal university in Kor-Bolshok. But the most famous kinds of magic in Kareen are its Permanent transmutation, which is a closely guarded 350 year old secret, and the art of Making interactive maps that show your location real time, along with any person or object you have marked with the maps special pen.
Exports: Kareen exports huge amounts of Beef, Timber, Clay, Copper, Exptic herbs and Pelts, riverboats, Cartographers, explorers, and certain exotic fish only found in its four lakes.

History: The second Offical nation to be born into this world, having its founding be the exact same year as the betrayal of balmond, though the capital city predates even that having been built to be Kareens Fifth lakside city. The first act of its king being one of mercy and wisdom, the banishing of the loyalists rather than their execution, would set this nations history in motion. The people of Okube have a culture of Non-aggression and defense through distance, which played perfectly into their seafaring nature. Called the lords of the sea, the nation of Okube has maintained the strongest naval force in the world since the Kordov war, a navy consisting of 4400 vessels divided amongst four defensive fleet, one offensive fleet, and a massive reserve which sits in the central lake able to reach any coast through natural and artificial rivers. Most of this nations coastline is fishing communities with farming communities developing inland starting from the center of the lake. They are very generous with heir naval power often providing defense contracts with other nations, however they have been accused of doing this to project their power around the known world. A claim they dont even try to deny, after all Defense through distance is their main source of safety.

History: The Mystic Island Paradise of Gaimont was the third Old world nation to rise. Formed after the betrayal of balmond and the banishment of the loyalists. This nation was Founded when the loyal lord Montin Gaiam arrived on its shores and found the descendants of Kareeni Explorers living a primitive but peaceful life. Montin would build a small settlement for his family and servants and would exchange his vast magical knowledge for resources his family needed. Over time his fairness and power would attract many more to stay with his settlement and it would eventually grow to a city in his lifetime. By then the remaining tribes began to grow threatened and as Montin died they saw this as an opportunity to cast out what they saw as a foreign invasion force. Yet Montins chief apprentice Guile Trennot took the initiative to lead a defense that repelled the attackers without harm. He would parlay with them and give them great gifts and blessings to join them. It was during Guile’s lifetime that Montins dream of a peaceful nation was met. The entire island had joined together becoming the mighty magic nation. This nations mages played a crucial role in winning the Kordov expansion war and would serve to solidify Gaimonts claim of magical superiority. After the war Gaimont would construct the Seven Universities of magical study, the research from which would forever change the way the world understood magic. The current king Zedd Zullender would Found the eighth magic university, the Celestial Academy and with it, any claim to match Gaimont’s magical prowess was forever lost to the rest of the world. Aside from its potent magics gaimont is known for having beautiful landscapes, from the Clear reflective waters of the Silver rivers flowing from platinum lake, to the Shining peaks of the Crystal mountains where the capital lies, all the way to the deadly but gorgeous Miasmic bogs said to hold the last living black dragons. Even the people of gaimont are said to be supernaturally beautiful, as cosmetic magics are one of their trade secrets.

They hold tournaments every five years and the winner is coronated upon victory. This winner is obligated to have an apprentice who takes his place should he perish before the next tournament. Due to the sheer number of mages, scholars, and devices, surveillance in this nation is very strong making corruption and crime fall to almost nothing. Gaimont is the second least corrupt nation on the planet. Culturally speaking the people of gaimont see life in all its ups and downs as a journey to be had, they don’t often complain about much of anything instead using the power to harness change in order to bend the world to make it more suitable for them. In spite of the Tournaments occuring every five years king Zullender has reigned for 66years, winning the past 13 tournaments and going down in history as gaimonts longest reigning king. He has worked very hard to form a friendly relationship with Theanos which has paid off as no nation has been willing to test their military alliance.

They have Eight magical universities, A total of around 33,000 adult spellcasters, and four out of five of the worlds known most powerful magical artifacts can be found here. They have pioneered magical research and Kareen is the only nation known to keep a secret magical art from them. With the birth of Cosmic magic happening in this past century observatories have begun springing up and talks of eventually reaching the stars have begun.
Exports: Gaimont has one true export and that is the mystic arts. Magical items, Spell scrolls, teachers, artifacts, tomes, enchantments, potions and various other items. If you have a health potion in your bag odds are it or the bulk of its ingredients came from Gaimont. Other nations will pay large sums for shipments of standard magical weaponry, of course they do keep the best for themselves…and pass on some of that best gear to theanos as part of their defensive treaties.

If there is one nation that has helped to keep the peace more so than Okube it is Theanos. This incredibly violent nation has long since held some of the worlds most terrifying warriors, and all they have waited for is a reason to wage war. This all started with their founding, Loyalist Lord Theon Cadmus, arrived with his family, and servants to an island populated by the primitive descendants of Kareeni explorers from around the time of the founding. Unlike gaimont however these tribes did not have as many dangerous magical creatures to contend with, so they were far mor likely to contend with one another. The arrival of Theon and his entourage was seen as a uniting evil upon their land and the tribes would band together to attempt and bring them down. Unfortunately for them, Theon was the Lord General of the Kareeni Army prior to his exile, and War was as much a part of his blood, as the color red was. One by one the attacking tribes would break upon Theons fortifications, then be routed, captured, and reeducated when possible. Eventually the attackers became fewer and further between and thus Theon went on the offensive conquering the remaining tribes and the entire island itself just six years after his arrival. He would have went on to Assault Gaimont, Kareen, Okube, and the rest of the world as well if his own servant had not rose to challenge him for the throne and won. This man Crastor Kiln would focus on building up the nation they had torn apart with war, he crafted six great cities and would build towns and settlements in between them, gifting these towns to the conquered tribes and the cities to those who wished to stay. They would go on to take heavy losses in the Kordov war, rivaled only by kordov itself, which would in turn force them to begin forming the Theanosi battle doctrines that haunt the nightmares of generals today. Geographically speaking Theanos is a very fertile land with almost none of it being incapable of farming. High levels of Iron in the banks and deltas of its river network provide the bulk of its needs, and its hardy independent population make it a very self sufficient land with little to no criminal activity. Hard to be a thief when your eleven year old victim is as deadly a warrior as a kareeni city guard.

They usually do so in a way that benefits the nation, because those who dont will find themselves challented for their rule by every Tom, Dick, Harry, Lisa, Julia, and Mary in the kingdom. The throne is passed along via Single Mortal Combat, where the two warriors will fight to the death. Because of this fact Theanos is arguably the LEAST corrupt nation in the planet. Its people do not tolerate evil rulers and thus everyone from the crooked city guard to the king himself is able to be Challenged and removed by any citizen that deems it necessary. Considering every individual born in this nation learns Combat magic, Battle tactics, Strategy, Espionage,Survival, And Basic combat drills with a variety of weapons as a part of their basic education curriculum, having your citizens pissed at you is a very serious problem.

However the people of Theanos are widely regarded as its best practitioners, rivaled only by the skill of the Gaimont mages, but made more so deadly by their physical abilities adding to the potent school of magic. This “Combat magic” include basic first aid healing, not enough to close the wounds but enough to dull pain and stop bleeding. Buff spells usually of the Body Magic variant, and Finally spell swordsmanship , or the art of wielding and casting spells through your weapons (does not have to be a sword.) they sit solidly in the middle slot of magical talent, and despite lacking much in the form of permanent enchantments, their defensive contract with Gaimont has them wielding some of the best crafted magical weapons, if they are worthy of such things. Its a good rule of thumb to avoid Theanosi warriors with magical gear, usually each piece of enchanted gear they have beyond the first is one they took off of the body of a rival, so you know its earned. Strength has many meanings to these people, as does weakness. one is to be sought at all cost, while the other is looked at as a blight upon their souls.

They Will send talented young men aged 16-30 out into the world to earn wealth through mercenary work. Upon their return their wealth is given to the nation and they are given a plot of land if they take the deal. Because of this Theanos has projected its power across the world showing the might of its warriors to all, as they slay the threats that others cannot.

History: The first New world nation Is Kordov. founded by the third traitor lord Dovin Basil, This country would see the Division of Kareen as a symbol of wars to come and thus would take preventive measures in the form of Rapid Expansion. In just ten years Kordov had filled the entire northern continent, conquering every tribe in the area and establishing networks of resources distribution. Seeing Gaimont, then Theanos begin to establish itself Kordov would act out of fear, and launch what it called a preemptive attack on the closest and most powerful rival, Okube. They were at a stalemate for a while as the Okubian navy was able to keep the forces of Kordov from making landfall, but eventually the Kordov forces were able to secure a route around the Five Wild isles and land a large force within Okube, trapping their fleet between two hostile shores. It took some time but eventually Kareen, Theanos, and Gaimont would come to Okube’s Aid and the largest battle in history since God wars would occur. Okube lost 10 thousand men, Kareen lost 7600, gaimont lost 1700, and Theanos lost 9600 men. Meanwhile Kordov would lose more than all combined, with their entire nations army, at the time numbering up to 32,000 being slain. The end result was the fracturing of Kordov, first Zian would Separate with its four cities uniting to repel every attempt to reclaim them. The strain of this forced Kordov to accept the Detaching of Bickil and the Three wealthy families that would found it. By the time the Free peoples of Mosue would secede, Kordov had spent all of its wealth and blood trying to hold itself together, and as if letting out a breath it had been holding for too long, Kordov ceased all hostilities. Even today, the nation still suffers from the sins of its founding. Economically its in ruins still, hampered by the growing criminal elements like the thieves guild and the Black Hand assassins, and the Criminal Underground Markets. That said, you will find no nation where it is easier to simply go out into the plains and build a town, if you can deal with all the bandits that is.

Zabein, Located within the southern border third of the Greater kordovian forest. Izek, the Fishermans paradise. Altune, the fortress built atop jagged sea cliffs. Finally Nialo, The tourist city. These four towns would combine their economic resources, and resist Kordov, mainly sticking to the forests where the legendary rangers of Zabien could exploit their home field advantages stealthily wiping out entire platoons with accurate well concealed arrows. Their shores would be protected by Okube’s naval forces and Alone Zian would practically bankrupt what was left of Kordov. This defense was made all the easier by the nations terrain itself, tall hills, jagged rocks, dense forests, Frequent and powerful storms, all things the native denizens had grown accustomed too, but the forces of Kordov found nearly insurmountable. As the war engine of Kordov Sputtered and Eventually died Zian would shift its focus to one of building cultural unity, developing its cities and settlements, and furthering the reputation of the Silent defenders of the coalition, the Warden Rangers of Zabein. Over the years the nation has developed a reputation for being a peaceful and orderly place to live, due in part to a constant campaign against the criminal underbelly of Kordov underground, this place enjoys a large amount of freedom from crime, at the cost of alot of other freedoms. This nation is heavily policed by the guards and wardens and justice is not always fair or blind here.
Politics/Culture: The culture of the coalition of Zian has a serious hyper fixation on legality. There are many laws and statutes on the books and each city has their own laws. For example in Zabien it is illegal for a person to come across their border from the kordov side, in Izek swimming in designated fishing areas can earn you five years in prison, Nialo has a long list of goods considered contraband and makes a fortune taking it and selling it back to the nations it came from. In Altune vandalism is punishable by being cast out of the city, which can sometimes be fatal since it sits atop steep cliffs. Those who can follow the law to the letter will find this nations stable economy and respectful culture to be refreshing, while those who cannot will find it stogy and bitter and perhaps even deadly.
Magic: The magics of Zian are mostly Familial traditions passed down from parent to child in some cases since before the founding of their nation, with some even being traced to the time of the Founding of Kareen. It mostly consists of Druidry and nature magics, with some of the Warden Rangers reportedly having Necromancy and Illusionary capabilities in addition to the more common abilities of their cohorts, Spellbooks and Scrolls are Imported from Gaimont, however even Gaimont cannot craft finer magical bows than Zian, of which the method of crafting remains a closely guarded secret that many would and have died protecting.

Zian was greatful for the help in making peace and thus sold a large parcel of land to the Businessmen Who owned Bickil the border of this land is the edge of the greater Kordovian forest, down to the Great Ore mountains, and following that path to the sea, this gave Bickil another Lake, the Bay of Farsight, and the growing farsight community. Finally bickil would build the fort city Wharton on the new border between themselves and Kordov. From then on Bickil would gather its explorers and map makers and pair them up with divination mages hired from Gaimont sending these teams out to seek precious metal deposits and gems. This plan proved remarkably successful and Since then Bickil has had nearly double the economic output of the next biggest economy in the world.

The only place that was really free of war was the wild coasts to the north, a frigid tundra to the north with large herd beasts, deadly predators, and a salty wind that choked out attempts to farm produce. Due to these challenges the people of Mosue went largly unnoticed as they didn’t see a need to settle down and form cities or towns. They were nomads, following the herds and contending with the predators and bitter environment. Eventually a problem arose, the hard ground, predators, and scavengers ensured that any buried dead would be exhumed and eaten, and attempts to burn their dead would invariably attract more predators. So eventually large stone tombs were made, the dead were laid there with the ritualistic burials taking place there. Many of the oils and incense used in the embalming process were the very same ones used in the birth blessing processes, so beside the tombs medical centers were built. Incidentally, the same decorations and dyes that were used in the Birth blessing processes were used often in weddings, thus amphitheaters were created and finally storefronts and walls. This process occured three times in three places forming the cities of High standig, pokhan, and Luuxaar. These cities are different than all others in the world as they are not constructed for long term dwelling. You will find no homes or beds in these cities, booths, chapels, tombs, and hospitals are all you will find, with a very few people whose tribe has decided to take a route that simply circumvents the city time and time again. In the event of a foreign invasion, scouts will warn tribes who will hide in tunnels, the war is won by saboteurs crippling supply lines and starving the enemies out, while the harsh winds freeze them. This peaceful approach paired with the utter lack of any desirable resources have kept this land safe since its inception…however they fear the Theanosi peoples will eventually invade them as they are not at all shy about telling the world how much the cowardly tactics of Mosue make them sick.
