Miday at Glowstone manor was just like any other day, men and women work hard on the farms growing all sorts of flora which produce the ingredients needed for various potions and poisons.
Further back to ensue the safety of the crops are where several unique and dangerous monsters are kept safe and secure, this to done to keep needed ingredients fresh and on hand.
Inside the manor is where the magic happens so to speak.
The finest alchemical laboratory in the land was built here on the second floor, this is where Whyro was preparing for the upcoming assignment. A assortment of glass beakers, jars, vials and more boil softly with tubes leading out of each to catch the smoke and condensation. A busy man shuffles back and forth finishing up mass production of his arsenal. Escorting the kings children while they make nice at different children from another king... hopefully this is nothing more than a show of force on our part. Zeneb can flit about impressivly and hopefully they spread the word that one of Hardvars royal guards can defeat fifteen of their finest with ease.
The Dancer is certainly the most visually impressive example of the three, not to say the Culinary or the Alchemist can't make a spectacular sight to behold in combat of course.
I know I wouldn't want to fight more than one of her, if we give the impression her skill is the average then the rest of our job is just standing about looking good.
Carefully pouring coloured liquids into vials and bottles took a good fifteen minutes before Whyro was done. Cleaning up took another half hour...
Finally Whyro was done, on his person he held more than twenty potions each one with a specific effect to be used in certain situations. Invisibility, invincibility, to lose sensibility... More than fifteen poisons and forty vials that Whyro created and named as 'combustibles' which are potions that explode and negatively effect whomever is in range. Each one stored safely strapped to his chest or secured in his bag or pouch. After finding his bow and filling his quiver with arrows Whyro put his daggers in place and put his trusty sword at his side to venture onwards towards the bar in the opposite side of glowstone manor to wait for the kings royal children.
The Haart heirs would arrive at Glowstone manor before nightfall and the team is to accompany the dear prince and princess in their journey in foreign lands... Having met only with the king Whyro has no clue if the heirs are intelligent patient noble sorts or the more bratty cliches one assumes of royalty. Regardless the Glowstone guild is being paid alot for this task with half the pay upfront on arrival, its no wonder spirits were high on the property.
When Whyro sat at the bar it wasn't long before a cold drink was placed in front of him and a warm meal was served. As Whyro cut meat into bite sized portions his thoughts were of the others to join him. Zeneb was essential, the front line of the party. Leo and himself provide excellent support and though not as capable as their female friend either one can be a fearsome opponent to face.
Concern was growing for Del... A woman able to communicate with animals and monsters much like a elf, but in the sturdy body of a human. Despite her quiet distrustful nature Whyro wanted to help her achieve greatness. Seeing potential in someone is something he has done twice over now to great success.
The Dancer and the Culinary are seen as legends of their craft. Whyro saw that in Del but found the third time a tad harder than the first two. Not that a setback of any kind would discourage him...
She should come along, see different fauna and monsters... maybe tame something other than that big cat.
With the Alchemist the Culinary and the Dancer in the party a recruit of any sort should be fine.
A shiver ran up Whyros spine as he finished his drink, ignoring that ominous feeling Whyro uncorked a flask and took a swig before finishing his lunch.
A grand royal carriage is being escorted towards the manor, the haart heirs shall be earlier than expected and with thirty knights protecting them they should arrive safely.
