Giri revolves around the story of a female doctor thrusted into the underworld of Tokyo at her father's request, and a male yakuza member whom she is forced to save under the threat of death, whom I am searching for someone to play as.
It will explore the yakuza culture, a "different" kind of love story, a Japanese setting and all themes encompassed in the aesthetic of criminal-themed narratives. The events taking place beyond the basic premise will be discussed by the both of us, as to make sure to allow each of us the chance to incorporate whatever we desire equally.[/div] [div class=tabcontent2 style=display:none]

I have a couple of requirements before you decide to express your interest in doing this with me. I hope you find them reasonable.
- Be above 18 years old. We will follow RPNation regulations but I'd be uncomfortable writing a story about criminals and whatnot with a minor, being not one myself. This also applies to the characters we will be portraying, with the exception of the supporting cast, which will be dividing between ourselves.
- Our characters' appearances will be from anime /manga media or at least asian in the case of realistic media, given the setting I've chosen.
- Have a fair understanding of what is the yakuza and by extent the Japanese lifestyle and culture. We may indulge in a bit of romanticization for the sake of comfort or ease, if you wish, but the basics should be there.
- One detailed paragraph is the minimum per reply. Decent grammar and spelling is a must.
- Don't bother to contact me if you're just going to have me decide and plan everything. Collaboration will the most important aspect of this roleplay partnership.
- I am not interested in doubling. Sorry.
- The romance in the roleplay will be what we call "slow burn" in the fanfiction community. Borrowing the words of someone, "'slow burn' is where two characters fall in love (or lust) naturally over time well before they begin any kind of relationship. The emphasis of a slow burn is the gradual evolution of the relationship; it generally involves lots of pining and sexual/romantic tension until the romance eventually catches fire. Hence ‘slow burn.’". So, when I say "long-term", I mean it.
