Dear Perspective Student,
Congratulations! You have been selected to attend Gilions Boarding School for the Performing Arts. You have been chosen among thousand of boys in the fields of Acting, Music, Art, Creative Writing, and Dance. You are going to have classes here for you to take both in your artistic talent and your academic studies!
Once again congratulations!
~Richard E. Gillion
This letter is only for boys who exceed artistic talent. Only a small percentage of boys are accepted into this school, and a smaller percentage graduates. Boys here are cutthroat and competitive, only worrying about themselves and themselves only. However, natural urges always finds its way into each of the boys' lives. Relationships and natural teenage drama finds its way with the competition of art?

Name: Jake Frederick
Age: 16
How long you attended this school: 2 years
Personality: Kind-hearted and friendly, Observing, Self-Conscious when not on stage
Crush: N/A
Biography: Jake is the type of guy you always see smiling all the time. He finds reasons to be happy all the time. Jake is a friendly person, having the ability to make friends with just about everyone. However, Jake is deaf. When he was very young, Jake had a major illness that caused him to lose his hearing. Because of his disability, people thought that he couldn't be a performer on stage like he always wanted to be. Jake's deafness did not stop him from making his dream come true. Over the course of years, he learned how to read lips very well and learned how to speak properly. He also learned to "feel the vibrations" by placing his hands on someones mouth while they're talking. Now, no one doesn't even notice that he is deaf, and everyone regards him as the most talented actor they ever knew.

Major: Dance (all varieties, but he likes ballet and jazz the most) minor in singing (he loves musicals).
Sexuality: He's unsure, not against being gay or ashamed or scared to come out as gay-he's just doesn't want to give everyone the impression that all male dancers are gay. But he's never really liked girls.

Name: Korey Hymer
Age: 18
How long you attended this school: No more than six months.
Personality:
If there would ever be a void that separates reality from fiction, properly explains one’s position and purpose and brings forth the immaculate truth, albeit studded by barren, effortlessly abolished ideals, Korey’s attitude might not be a cornered, dawdling delusion of forever.
Hard work is nothing but repeating a tedious behaviour. Foolishness so overrated that it is indeed ridiculous to inure oneself to amiable hardship or try to redeem a sin you haven’t committed. After all, what matters most is the way you were born.
Or so does everyone around him imply.
An actor’s life is a never ending play of slender lies. Watch what you utter; every sentence can be misinterpreted and misused. Talk smart; let your words be sonorous, share the wish to help rid famine, racism and war from this wretched world. Walk carefully, don’t topple over. Don’t scuff your feet on spoilt ground. Tell a tear-jerking story to receive positive feedback for your… hard work.
You should scoff at this unflagging idiocy.
That’s what Korey secretly does.
On stage and off stage – the only false void being the curtain. Korey is solely built up from two personas. When the cameras switch on, mechanically a smile would etch on his face and you could not see any signs of bitterness, ill-will or crudeness he manifests off-stage. Why? Because a smile buys viewers, a pretty face sells products and a bit of flirting is all it takes to conquer another giant wall in this business.
If all it takes is acting out the attitude that is solemnly imposed to achieve acceptance, grasp glory, lunge into fervour of being worshiped, be a book judged by its covers then Korey has all it takes to manipulate and be manipulated.
Off-stage is a lagging game of pursuing motivation, trying to endure the pressure of the days who have their raptures broken away from them. The only ardour they possess is when his lungs inhale cigarette smoke in a secluded corridor of everyday life. This cynical age gives him an impression of the sky wanting to swoop down and crush him. Nevertheless, the boundary between reality and fiction is still incapable of being tampered with.
Off-stage is an indecisive battle which holds little to none inquisitiveness of things such as social networks or engaging into a wiggly crowd of high baboons. He is apt to show the one he wants to be more openly in the domain of switched off cameras, letting his personality be canvassed but still disallowing anyone to actually comprehend.
The one he wants to be holds a delusional belief of immortality; never ceasing to be remembered, always there, present. However, it’s a mere delusion wanting to be known after death; to be remembered. After all, the psychological stress has a great impact on one’s behaviour. Emotional tension that emphasises reactions and self-awareness; but still guards the wish to just turn another page, leave and start over.
He has the strength but hasn’t got the courage. He has the attitude that makes out the real him but that one may not be consented. Only in the shadows can he be blithe, unchaste and worry not of the way he have been thought to act.

Biography:
Why should there be reason for a course of action?
Oh right. Because reason brings forth motivation. Indeed, who would do anything without benefit or motivation?
So how was it? His life? Enticing? Hardly. Satisfactory? Partially. What he wanted? He didn’t get it. Because there were big plans; enormous dreams of perfection, wealth, camera flashes and stage as an abode. However, those wishes weren’t his and as ironic as it may be, alongside those foreign wishes talent resided. Korey, to his misfortune or fluke, possessed unexplored talent and a passion for acting. And his uncle wanted to use it to its full potential. As aggravating as it sounded to Korey, the way he was taught always had that statement; Adults know best, it’s all for your own good. He had no motivation to stop him, or his parents. What broke out into fiction from plain old boring life was a life of insufficient lies that kept piling up. And then, they invented the lie he tried to abolish; the only thing he truly fought against. A tragic childhood. It was unbelievable how a pair of greedy humans could come up with a story about an orphan who was took in by kind parents and who afterwards fought to achieve acceptance, was inured to brisk hardship and who tried so endearingly to overcome the deplorable truth about his true parents who had abandoned him in order to surface to a better side of life. It was indeed sickening on the other side of the lie; the truth. But it was bought. People these days would even buy a rotten candy from a cunning seller. Korey’s attempt to convince his family to cease this absurd act was proven ineffective thus they murdered the slightest love he had towards acting; it all became a need. But he couldn’t back down then; the cameras were on, the red light stared at him as a smile surfaced. What could a man do than just smile? Worry not about its fakeness, it is for your own good. Afterwards, fame knocked on his door. He acted in a few plays, still learning. And there came a movie which climbed him up the ladder higher whereas all that time he was certain that he was not the one who would fall. If he were to severe the line between reality and fiction the ones who would fall from the ladder would make a loud thud against the wall of lies they laced bellow it.

Name: Derrick Thomson
Age: 17
How long you attended this school: 1 year
Personality: Laid back, slightly sarcastic, somewhat friendly. Not easily angered but not very forgiving.
Crush: N/A
Biography: Derrick's parents are divorced. He lives with his mom mainly, but over the summer he stays with his Dad and gay step-Dad. Homosexuality is something he's been raised around all his life. Because of this, he was bullied a lot for having a gay dad. What made it worse was that Derrick loved tap dancing and ballet. These subjects of course led to many after school fights and suspensions. He has personal issues concerning his parents but he tries not to take it out on people. He came to this school to find himself and figure out his life. He wanted to be in an environment where he wouldn't be judged.
Major: Dance, (Tap and Ballet)
Sexuality: Straight
Name: Lucian Perry
Age: 17.5
How long you attended this school: a year, starting his second
Personality: More of a thinker than a talker, an introvert. His mind processes and thinks in a different way than most, so he says and does things that can come off as peculiar. Has a strange sense of humor. Deep and often brooding, he is more of the stereotypical 'troubled artist' type. But it is sometimes more act than personality, as he believes it makes for good art and show. Not one to trust very easily, but eventually he can be more easygoing and open up, to an extent. Sometimes he can become slightly obsessive to things or people he likes.
Crush: no one, at the moment
Biography: Lucian's family life is quite average. He is an only child, and he lives with his mother an father. Because he has no siblings, all his parents' attention is directed to him and he has lived a somewhat spoiled life. His talent of art was discovered at a young age. Lucian wasn't as focused on art at first, until an art teacher from his old school showed him just where his art could take him. He hasn't really had any major tragedies that have greatly affected his life, besides the normal dramas like heartbreak, lost friends, fights, et cetera. Gillion's has been an overall positive experience for Lucian, and the summer after his first year some of his art has featured in several [very small] art galleries. Although the stress of the school has been very overwhelming to him, and his second year has not been going quite so well. He has lost quite a bit of ambition which he hates himself for, but he feels he no longer has inspiration.
Major: Art Major
Sexuality: Gender isn't really a concern to Lucian, although he doesn't actually consider himself "bi". He will pursue who he is attracted to, with gender being of little importance.

Creative, smart (duh!), and is doting when falling in love.
Noah Hills was a quiet kid who always sat up in his bedroom taking picture out of his window. His house was loud and noisy most of the time, because his parents were constantly getting into fights; and they had four children in the house. He was never able to go outside when his parents were home because their fights would be right next to the door. So Noah never went outside, unless it was time for school or going somewhere. He took all of his photos inside from his window.
Photography
He does not know, but he is a bisexual. Noah liked a girl in eighth grade, now since he was moving into an all boys' school; he has fallen in love with Jake Fredrick.

Age: 19
How long you attended this school: First year/day
Personality: Friendly, secretive, quiet and shy outside of the theater, submissive
Crush: She may have the slightest crush on Jake but she isn't telling/showing anyone.
Biography: Leanne was a really shy kid growing up. Her family relationships while growing up led to her being an introvert. There's always been a part of her that she'd never talk about but people find it normal, knowing how shy she is and all. After her rough childhood, she discovered writing as a way to let loose. She's learned how to express everything she felt through poetry and short stories. Then, when she was in high school, she joined the theater club as a backstage assistant. When their lead suddenly fell sick, she shocked the school by filling in. From then on, theater was her second home. Leanne wrote a book when she was in her senior year in high school and tried to get it published for her to be a freelance writer instead of enduring college but the publishers she went to didn't accept it. She tried to get into Julliard for her drama but she didn't make it again. Instead of 'wasting time' on college, Leanne decided to look for a job where she could write and act at the same time. This brought her to Gilion.
