The Piratess Captain
In our world we call them Mediums but in "their" world they call them Messengers; People that see ghosts clearly and interact with them as if they were a normal person. But only a few of them get chosen to become part of the Council. The Council is a group of spirits in the world of the Afterlife that gather to cleanse our world of darkness such as Poltergeists. The council sends Specters to partner up as a guide for each of the chosen Messengers. If by any important reason that there needs to be a meeting between other council members and the Messenger they contact them through their dreams. There has never been a need for any of the Messengers to meet each other... Until now.
Death himself/herself has gone on a rampage. For 1,000 years the Council and Death have worked together but Death knew his/her time was coming to an end. His 1,000 years were up, but he/she did not want to give up his/her title and choose another to take his/her place. So now he/she is unleashing more darkness into the world more rapidly than ever before. Poltergeists are showing up in much more places, apparitions are being seen by more people, doors slamming, objects being thrown, paranoia is enveloping people. Some regular people think that the apocalypse is coming soon. The Council believes that the Messengers and Specters need to gather together, find Death, and kill him/her while at the same time try to keep the balance and cleanse places of Poltergeists.
(So here are my ideas for this rp:
1. Each Messenger has to have a Specter to be their partner - I like the idea cause its a chance to meet new people.
2. You can be a Poltergeist - A spirit that does not need a partner.
3. I plan for some time in the future choose someone to rp as Death. I will watch how each of you roleplays and then pm the lucky person who gets to rp as Death cause let's face it, it's an awesome and important role that we would not want to screw up choosing the wrong person. Whoever is chosen as Death will make it their second character, they get to choose what it looks like and their personality, and decide if it'll be a male or female - hence why I put all the "him/her"s.
