As global tensions escalate, NATO has taken a decisive step by forming a Tier 1 Joint Special Operations Force known as the Group for Specialized Tactics, abbreviated as GST. Often referred to as Ghost Recon or simply the Ghosts, this elite unit operates under the highest levels of secrecy. As part of NATO's Joint Special Operations Command, the missions undertaken by the Ghosts are highly classified, known only to a select few.
As a Ghost, you are part of an elite cadre of soldiers granted unparalleled autonomy. You choose your weapons, select your targets, and determine the best method to neutralize them. Your mission is to gather intelligence, identify key players and their strategies, and dismantle them with precision. In the field, you operate independently; backup is not an option. You must rely on your training, your wits, and whatever resources you can procure to complete your mission. Adherence to a strict playbook is unnecessary; innovation and adaptability are your greatest assets.
Each member of the Ghosts is an exceptional soldier, but together, you form a force capable of toppling armies. Remember, Ghosts: credit is failure. Your operations are designed to be invisible. You will devastate the enemy, but no one will ever know who lit the fuse.
As part of Ghost Recon, you will be a member of a six-person Advanced Force Operations (AFO) unit called Athena. Each member of Athena has not only proven themselves useful in combat but has also demonstrated unique skills and capabilities that make them invaluable to the team.
The journey to becoming a Ghost is grueling. Potential recruits undergo a rigorous psychological evaluation to test their resilience and compatibility with other team members. This evaluation ensures that each recruit can handle the immense pressure and secrecy of the job. Recruits are fully briefed on the clandestine nature of the unit, understanding that their actions and successes will remain forever unacknowledged by the public. The exact number of operatives within GST is classified, but estimates place the strength of the unit at approximately 200-250 elite soldiers.
From their home base in Greece, Ghost operators are under the command of a Ghost Lead. This base, codenamed "Olympus," serves as the nerve center for all Ghost operations during deployments. The base is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced training grounds, intelligence analysis centers, and cutting-edge technology labs.

This roleplay aims for a realistic tone and setting, similar to what you'd see in a TV show. However, you'll have creative freedom with your loadout. As an elite unit of NATO, we can access nearly any equipment... after all, itβs just a roleplay!
I'm not an expert on the military, so I welcome your input. Whether itβs about proper terminology or tactics like freeing a hostage, your expertise will help enhance the realism and immersion of the roleplay.

As the Team Leader, you are the guiding force behind the team. You are responsible for strategic planning, making crucial decisions, and ensuring the coordination and success of all missions. Your leadership ensures that the team operates smoothly and effectively, maintaining high morale and focus even under the most challenging conditions.

DEMO. SPECIALIST (M)
The Demolition Specialist is the team's expert in handling explosives. Whether itβs breaching doors, destroying enemy equipment, or setting traps, you have the knowledge and precision to use explosives effectively and safely. Your expertise ensures that the team can overcome physical obstacles and neutralize threats with controlled detonations.

TECH. SPECIALIST (M)
As the Technology Specialist, you are the team's go-to expert for all things tech. From hacking enemy systems to setting up secure communications and surveillance, your skills in cyber warfare and electronic devices are crucial. You ensure the team stays connected, gathers intelligence, and counters enemy tech threats.

COMBAT MEDIC (M)
The Combat Medic is the team's lifeline in the field, providing essential medical care and ensuring the health and well-being of all members. You are trained to handle trauma and provide emergency medical treatment under fire. Your presence ensures that the team can operate confidently, knowing they have medical support.

INTEL. OFFICER (F)
As the Intelligence Officer, you are the analytical mind of the team. Your role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting intelligence to guide mission planning and execution. You provide critical insights into enemy movements, strengths, and weaknesses, ensuring the team is always a step ahead.

MARKSMAN (F)
The Marksman is the team's precision shooter, specializing in long-range engagements and reconnaissance. Your skills in marksmanship and stealth allow you to take out high-value targets from a distance and provide valuable intelligence on enemy positions. You are the eyes and the long arm of the team.

02.RESPECT AND ETIQUETTE
Treat everyone in the roleplay with courtesy and respect. If you plan to leave the roleplay, please inform me in advance and, if possible, write your character out of the story.
03.BASIC ENGLISH SKILLS
Proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation are important in roleplaying. While perfection isn't required, a basic understanding of English is necessary.
04.CONTENT OVER LENGTH
Quality is more important than quantity. Aim for 2-3 paragraphs per post, with two paragraphs being the minimum requirement.
05.BE REALISTIC AND REASONABLE
Your character doesn't have unlimited ammunition or resources. Avoid "Run Nβ Gun" tactics and remember thereβs always a bigger threat. Use realistic faceclaims for your character sheet; AI-generated ones are acceptable if they look realistic.
06.ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES
Every action in the roleplay affects the world around you. Consider the moral and practical implications of your character's decisions. For example, how would your character handle capturing terrorists who have just committed atrocities?
07.KEEP DRAMA IN-CHARACTER
Avoid personal drama outside the roleplay. Feel free to include dramatic elements within the story.
08.DISCORD REQUIRED
You must have Discord to participate in this roleplay. All plotting, discussions, and some in-character interactions will take place there.
