OMEGA THREE COLONY WAS DESTROYED BY THE PLANET WHICH THEY WERE ON NATURAL DISASTER. 50 SURVIVORS FROM 120. EGA-A BOSTON IS NOW TRANSPORTING THE OMEGA THREE COLONY SURVIVORS TO OMEGA TWO SYSTEM FROM OMEGA THREE SYSTEM. ETA: 1 WEEK.

After facing a natural disaster, the Omega Three Colony was saved by a passing EGA A-class cruiser named "Boston". Admiral Alex Pop, ordered the cruiser's immediate response to the distress signal, ending up saving 50 lives from 120. Being an A-class cruiser, Admiral Pop's ship is more than equipped for the safe transportation of the Omega Three Colony survivors. Admiral Pop hopes for a nice, safe and quiet transportation. Will his wish come true?

The EGA-A Boston is a cruiser type ship belonging to Earth's Galactic Alliance. One of the best ships of her class, the EGA-A Boston gained renown during the Pirate Wars 30 and 60 years ago. Only a handful of admirals had the honor to lead her to battle, including one of the most famous admirals in both her history and the EGA's history, admiral George Newtoon. George Newtoon was recruited 89 years ago by Captain Adolf Felhberg, the famous explorer who discovered the Felhberg System, for his crew. George Newtoon became a captain of an unknown ship at the age of 23 and at the age of 29, received the rank of admiral. George Newtoon served on the EGA-A Boston during the Pirate Wars, 60 years ago, becoming famous for the heroic battle of New Europe System.

The ship is rather big, containing 1 Bridge, 2 Armories, 1 Infirmary, 1 Navigation Room, 1 Hangar, 2 Relaxation Rooms, 1 War Room, 1 Life Support Room, 2 Engine Rooms, 2 Kitchens, 2 Cafeterias, 2 Game Rooms, 2 Bars and over 250 Dorms for the crew to rest.

The hum of the ship was the only sound in the bathroom excluding the deep, trying-to-be-steady breathing. Inside the far cubical behind a locked door, Xavier sat on the floor with his head in his hands. Thankfully they were clean, all physical signs of what he'd done washed down the drain. Well, all physical signs on himself. It was only a matter of time before someone innocently walked down the secluded hall and stumbled onto what he did.

Ten minutes earlier...

Xavier slipped the knife out of his victim, wiping the blood off on the dying man's uniform before sheathing the blade and tucking it in his boot. He stared down at the man, a General Thomas according to all the badges and other things pinned to the man's uniform. According to Xavier though, he was just another EGA officer who thought he was better than everyone else and had said one too many nasty comments to some of the other colony survivors. Leaning down to be at eye level, Xavier saw the light fade from the General's fear filled eyes and quickly unpinned all the little metal stars from his jacket, stashing them in an inside pocket before quietly running down the hall. He found a bathroom far from the scene, washing the blood from his hands before locking himself in the last stall and trying to think of what to do next.

Richard was in his cabin, reading reports, as usual. Occasionally, he peeked over the small picture of his wife and daughter, who were smiling brightly towards the viewer. A small smiled curved on his face, but quickly faded away as he continued his work, reading tons and tons of reports that he received from the admiral earlier, a sort of punishment as he attempted to convince the admiral to not try to save the colony on Omega Three. He grew cold since his wife and daughter died and his compassion towards others faded away in time.

His workaholic attitude change the moment someone entered his room. "I thought I mentioned that I don't want to be disturbed." Richard exclaimed, moving only his eyes towards the entrance. The man who entered the cabin saluted Richard, before opening his mouth to speak. "Sir! I apologize to disturb you, sir! The admiral wants to speak with you!". Richard closed his eyes and rubbed the bridge of his nose, then annoyed, got up.

The man who informed Richard escorted him towards the Bridge. As they walked, Richard was curious on why the admiral wanted to speak with him. Give him more punishments, he thought. But it wouldn't be bad to ask the man. "General Gummer has been found dead in his cabin. The admiral has ordered your presence on the bridge involving general Gummer's murder.". Richard's jaw dropped, mortified by the news he received. "Are you sure he didn't killed himself? The man lost his wife not long ago." Richard asked. General Gummer lost his wife two weeks ago. She died in an accident at a mining facility. "Negative." the man answered. "After inspecting general Gummer's body, a hole has been found. Made by a knife, most probably. General Gummer was murdered."

It wasn't long till Richard arrived on the bridge. He walked towards a man dressed in a blue uniform, with small golden plates on his shoulder. "Admiral." Richard spoke, saluting the admiral. The admiral turned to face him, revealing himself. Admiral Pop. A short man, only 1,65 meters tall, yet such a pain in the ass. The man was way over his 50's and if you want to have a bad mood, this man can give it to you easily. However, despite all this, this man is in charge of EGA-A Boston and he's doing a bloody good job. Straightening his back, Richard awaited the admiral's new orders.

Xavier finally picked himself off the bathroom floor, finding that instead of feeling remorseful about killing the man, he felt like it was justified. Pausing to look at himself in the mirror, Xavier smirked and ran a hand through his black hair to fix it right. He looked over his clothes to make sure he didn't have a drop of blood on himself, then dug around in his pockets and pulled out the dead General's stars. There were six of the little gold shapes, and Xavier stuck them to his own jacket. Not in a way to where it looked like he was a General, but around the cuff of his right arm like a strange sort of bracelet. Xavier smiled at himself one more time, a charming smile that was practiced and could no way belong to a killer.

Leaving the bathroom, Xavier walked calmly back down the hall and hummed cheerfully, looking every bit as comfortable and confident as a young man traveling for the first time would be. It was an easy role to act for Xavier, since he was excited about space travel and seeing anywhere other than the Colony. Don't get him wrong, he loved the Colony and was devastated by it's destruction, but he was curious as to what the rest of the universe looked like.

Coming up to where he killed the General, Xavier noted that a group of passengers had gathered behind the crime scene tape and gossiping quietly. Xavier had to force himself not to smile, finding it funny that it didn't matter if you were on a transport ship or a colony, humans still gathered to be spectators of horrible tragedies. Putting on a shocked and confused expression, Xavier generally pushed through the crowd until he was at the tape. A few meters away the body sat slumped against the wall with a small pool of blood underneath it and several uniformed EGA soldiers stood around. They were probably trying to find any clues or something along those lines. What were they called? Investigators! That's what they were. Xavier felt proud that he remembered the word, but didn't show it. Instead he looked at the closest uniformed investigator with a confused look on his face. "Excuse me, what's going on here?" he asked, figuring that he might as well find out who was going to be hunting him down.

"I believe you have been notified about the current situation, lieutenant." the admiral said. Richard made a quick nod notifying the admiral that he heard about it. "General Gummer was, undoubtedly, murdered. Why, we don't know. Yet. This is why I called you here. From all my men on board the Boston, you are the only one who is able to investigate this." the admiral said, pointing his index finger at Richard. "From now on, you will investigate

Richard titled his head, utterly confused. "Sir? What do you mean by 'I am the only who is able to investigate this'?" he asked. After the admiral sighted, he walked towards Richard. "Exactly what I said. You are the only one on this ship with a record that is suitable with investigating murders. Now, stop asking questions and go already. I have other matters to do. Sergeant Jothin will be at the murder scene, he will fed you with the current information." the admiral explained, as he dismissed Richard, to continue his affairs as the admiral of the ship.

With nothing else to say, Richard saluted the admiral before turning away, proceeding to the murder scene. This time, he walked alone, with no escort, as he knew where the general's cabin was. Once he was there, he saw the mass of people gathered around the general's cabin. "Alright, you lot! Shoo, shoo! This is EGA affairs. Proceed to your little lives." he yelled towards the people gathered around. The only EGA man in uniform walked towards Richard, straightening himself and saluting him. "Lieutenant!" he said.

"I reckon the admiral informed you by now." Richard said, earning himself a nod from the sergeant. "Good. Let's go.". Once Richard was inside, he immediately noticed the general's lifeless body. "All of you. Out. Now." he ordered the men inside, who were investigating the room. They stopped from what they were doing and stared at Richard, puzzled. "Didn't you hear me!? I gave you an order! Out!" he yelled from the bottom of his lungs. Everybody rushed outside. Even the sergeant wanted to leave, but was stopped by Richard. "Not you sergeant. You will remain here. I need to ask a couple of questions from time to time. I can't do my job properly with everybody roaming like ants inside the general's cabin." he said as he walked towards the corpse.

Xavier was having a nice conversation with the EGA officer, slowly gathering bits and pieces of what had happened simply by talking. So far aparently, they knew the guy was murdered, but that was about it. No known motive yet, no suspects, no witnesses, no nothing. He had to force himself not to smile smugly. It was super ironic to him that the EGA officer was telling him what he'd do if he got his hands on the murderer, and yet there Xavier was still fine and in one piece. 'Getting away with this is gonna be easier than I thought,' he thought to himself, jumping in surprise when a loud voice started yelling at everyone to leave.

All eyes instantly landed on the new man who'd arrived, and most backed away. But instead of being intimidated by the man Xavier quickly looked over him to decide if he was a threat or not. Already Xavier didn't like the man, the comment about "little lives" ticking him off. His body language hinted at a hardened man, cold and uncaring towards anything that seemed lesser than himself. Xavier noted how the man carried himself proudly, but not arrogantly so. It showed in his face that he earned his position, and in his eyes that he didn't take too kindly to messing around. All of this Xavier was able to gather and stick together in less than two seconds, and made him come to the decision that yes, this man was in fact dangerous and he would need to watch himself.

Taking a step back Xavier saw most of the other officers and people leave after the man started yelling again. He knew he couldn't stick around in the hall to eavesdrop, but he couldn't just leave. He didn't know enough about this new investigator yet or what anyone knew about the murder. After making sure that the person he had been talking to before was gone, Xavier took a few beep breaths and shook his head to mess up his hair. Sticking his hands in his pockets and slumping his shoulders a little, Xavier looked like the perfect image of a nervous young man. "E-excuse me, sir," he stuttered quietly, taking a step closer to the doorway. "I-I was placed in a room right above here. What happened, if I may ask?" He shuffled his feet nervously, avoiding eye contact with the new investigator. Lieutenant, his brain filled in when he saw the stars on the man's jacket.

The emptiness of general's Gummer cabin was immediately felt by Richard. Even if sergeant Jothin was right behind him, the room still felt empty. This feeling of emptiness was a familiar one, it was exactly like the one when he walked inside the bedroom of his former apartment only to find his beloved wife dead.

His forth attempt to snap out of the river of memories succeeded, allowing Richard to walk towards the corpse of general Gummer. He analyzed the body, silently and carefully. Sergeant Jothin was unintentionally bumping his foot on the cabin's floor. "Never saw a dead body before, sergeant?" Richard asked, while still analyzing the body. Jothin slowly gulped a couple of times before he dared to answer his superior's question. "Affirmative, sir. It's my first time." he answered, worryingly. "So, you're a virgin." said Richard after a disturbing silence. His words stroke Jothin immediately as he jumped off his feet a couple of centimeters. "W-wh-? I'm not a virgin, sir, I have a wi-"

"Unnecessary details of your private life, sergeant. I don't care about them." Richard said, in a cold tone, while standing up, turning his face towards Jothin. "What I meant was that this is your first time seeing a dead body, thus, you being a virgin. Or should I say, no longer a virgin?" Richard explained. "Let me guess, you finished the military university on Earth and received the rank of sergeant. I knew you were too young to be a sergeant.". Jothin nodded, clearly overwhelmed by Richard's words. "How do you know that sir? Did the admiral gave you my file?" Jothin asked, nervously.

With an expressionless face, Richard walked behind him. "To get the rank of sergeant, these days, you need to have a record. In conclusion, you need to be on the battlefield for a minimum of one year, depending on your performance. By then, you saw countless bodies since the EGA seems to like to mettle in other people business and go to war whenever they don't like it. However, there is another way. Have the credits and you can go to the university, which costs a hell lot of credits. You do well, you get good ranks, good wage, but no experience.". Jothin turned to face Richard, worried. He opened his mouth to open, but was immediately interrupted by a voice outside the cabin. Richard went outside immediately to investigate.

Once outside the cabin, Richard eyed the young man with black hair and blue eyes. "This is EGA affairs, colonist. I am only allowed to discuss this with authorized personnel, and you, boy, ain't one. Please return back to your room. Wonder around here and I'll find you a nice, comfy room in the holding cells of the ship. Move along, colonist. Sergeant, seal the door and follow me." Richard ordered Jothin, not even waiting for him to get out of the cabin as he began to walk down the corridor.
