General Discussion

Sorry Segue Segue , but I figured with Keth directly asking Istar to put Rihaly down it was apt that I got a post in before you did , if only so Istar could set her hopefully still bestest best friend forever down and sheepishly apologize.

It's ok HK Fifty HK Fifty - I'd already written that part of my post and decided it didn't need to change. Whether she escaped or had to suffer the indignity of being freed, Rihaly would do the same thing afterwards.

It did save me from writing a coda about "if all else fails, she says these things from her football carry under Istar's arm" though. :3

Ah , I see. At least it all worked out then , eh?

Well , in light of the hard feelings thrown her way , Istar's going to seem a little more morose. Not too much , but still a little. She doesn't like offending people , and she's very aware she's offended Rihaly.

Rihaly's not that offended, and her revenge (while real) is liable to be comical.

If Istar tried to keep her held, they'd have an issue. So it may be best for both of them if she fails to escape. :3

Oh thank Corellon. So Istar won't join some of my other characters in Lieutenant Khala's lonely hearts club band. That's good. Istar was meant to rise above the depression , not join it! Bring balance to the emotions , not leave them in darkness!

Istar wouldn't have done that , luckily , even if she wasn't directly ordered to set the little Halfling down. She'd have set Rihaly down , apologized for doing that and then had a talk about how it's rude to steal from people.

I encourage conversations like that :3

It's more or less how I imagined their different moral codes coming to terms with one another, and Rihaly is (somewhat) changeable with the right education.

Well , it'll have to happen eventually. The way I see it is both of them meeting in the middle more than anything. Istar's flexible enough for her views to change overtime , perhaps not in big ways but still in noticeable ones.

And while Rihaly will always be a burglar, she doesn't necessarily have to be a thief. Or at least not a petty thief.

I'm looking forward to her journey under Istar's persistent influence. :3

And I'm very much looking forward to Istar's journey under Rihaly's own influence!

Assuming the Dice-Gods don't kill them , I expect their journey to be quite the interesting one!

Er.. Grim Wraithe Stjerna Grim Wraithe Stjerna , Istar was apologizing to Rihaly for being rude and overstepping her bounds - definitely not for her in any way whatsoever. You might want to change your post to reflect that.

Unless you knew that and Keth is just kind of terrible at understanding social interactions.

He's just inserting himself in the conversation. Social things are not his strong suit. Thus the mention about the forced uncomfortable smile at the first interaction.

So.. you're saying that yes , he truly is terrible at social interaction.

Would I be reaching if I thought the reason he could think of Istar's meek little apology as apologizing for Rihaly is because he doesn't like Elves?

Oh.

Well , Istar's letting Rihaly say things first , but after that happens we'll see whether Istar does well with Keth's test or not!
