General Discussion

I don't mind.

I don't see a bar as long as we don't wall him out of the conversation, but I'm also happy to wait a day.

I think it's only fair , because honestly between Rihaly's thirst for knowledge and Istar's endless enthusiasm this does have the potential to walk him out of the conversation.

Plus , it'll help breed patience for when we eventually get to combat and all have to wait on each other to play out their turn before doing anything.

A little post only, the reaction I would have included in Rihaly's post if I'd been patient enough to wait for Shadow's greeting before replying to our noble lady paladin.

Which I wasn't, of course.

That makes sense. I'd have honestly done the same , since it makes everything go smoother without having to wait to make such a simple little remark.

Understandable. I've only got so much patience because I'm a Jedi and a Historian , two things that require lots of patience.

Argh , I really want to let Istar reply right now. Must.. wait.. for.. Shadow..

(Why is it that I'm slow as fripping Christmas with all my other characters , but with Istar I can get stuff out within a half-hour?)

We're just lucky I guess? :3

Don't worry, we'll be here for a little while. Maybe even long enough for the Hooded Manager (less popular cousin of the Masked Avenger) to return before Rihaly has to work out who she's willing to give her statue to.

Finders keepers!

Well.. she also needs the Hooded Manager to give her the special stuff Istar and giles got , because she'll kind of need it.

..of course , that's not saying that Istar won't be willing to give hers up if it's truly needed.

She'll only need it if she falls off though, right? Or to give her an assist if she needs to lie to anyone?

Not that she'd say no to Istar offering hers, but hopefully it won't come to that.

I wonder how much she could get for selling one of those gold statue things?

Well , that's technically true , but it also identifies her as a member of the guild , which could be very useful in certain situations.

I kind of have a feeling selling one of the statues wouldn't end well for her. Nameless Intent seems to be rather possessive of their property.

Um.. for future reference Segue , could you warn me if you're sick of waiting on Giles? Because Istar was pestering me all day (the one day I've actually been busy in weeks) about responding , and now I've come back and she's kind of been forced to accept some sort of odd reasoning why she couldn't reply like she normally would.

I guess she can blame it on a dwarf (and money) though , so that's.. something.

Sorry HK.

I did hold off a while for Istar, but then decided Rihaly didn't really have any questions outstanding for her to answer by this morning. If you wanted to answer go ahead (say, during the time our halfling is counting her first two thousand coins out and before she's said anything much).

Or I can delete and repost if you prefer. Rihaly wants to hear what Istar has to say.

Well.. I think Istar could try to say something while the thousands of copper coins get clinked down. That's kind of what she'd want to do anyway. And really.. it does make sense that she'd wait for Giles , then let get surprised when Rihaly started talking again immediately and then be nice enough to wait on her again. Istar's just.. kind of polite like that.

By the way , Rihaly's fixation on Istar's Paladin-hood would be something Istar would think more on (and perhaps mention or ask about) if it weren't for the fact that she's also fixated on it - and so have most others in her life , friend or not. She introduces herself with it because , in her mind , that's as important to her identity as her species. (Which she doesn't introduce herself with bexause usually people can kind of visually identify her as an Elf).

A bit like how most people Rihaly meets realize she's barely an inch over three feet because she's a halfling, not because she's a child. Which she's not. At all.

Luckily Istar's more than smart and well-read enough to know what a Halfling is. And have the general idea that an actual child wouldn't be joining a dangerous adventuring guild , either. (Seriously , that's like.. a four year old's height. How is a four year old getting in any of this?)

I'm honestly expecting some idiot commoner Istar meets to assume Paladin is some kind of surname or something , not her badass title as pretty much the D&D version of a Jedi knight.

Lends a whole new slant to Rihaly's adventures in the Trial when you picture her at her full glorious height, doesn't it?

It would , were I not used to already imagining halflings as really short. That's the LOTR fan in me doing that. I can't not imagine Halflings as really short!

So I guess Rihaly won't have many issues with her height with respect to how I imagine her. That's gotta be something , right?

Take your time, Vikingr.

I'll wait Rihaly's post until Magga has a chance to respond to her erratic bargaining partner. Hopefully none of those coppers landed in her drink.

Well if they did land in her drink, she's a dwarf and will not think much about it.

Er.. is it okay with everyone if they wait for me again? Because I'm a little busy today and won't be on too much.

(By that I mean after Rihaly gets to respond. After that , then wait for Istar to be able to do stuff).
