General Discussion

Yes, Sundamar and his dark vision is why Rihaly is wistfully daydreaming about growing up to be an elf one day.
Unfortunately for Rihaly, the only reason Sundamar can see in total darkness is because he is cursed with clouded vision. Yes he can see in the dark, but only up to thirty feet.

Istar can't see in the dark at all , but she does have low-light vision. Which means she only needs a little light to see well!

Also , I've been using past tense.. so I probably need to get on board with the present tense thing now. I just generally prefer to use past tense for things , and since I'm a D&D novice I wasn't aware the present tense would be the way to go.

Somehow not a huge surprise that the Historian prefers to use the past tense. :3
I'm firmly a follower of the Unifying Force philosophy. The Living Force is simply too.. In the present for my tastes. If I followed the living Force I couldn't sit in my precious Jedi Archives and think about the past all day!

Please tell me Rihaly can heal.

Because if she has these crazy skill bonuses and can be somebody with any sort of innate healing ability other than Istar , I'll love her forever.

*reaches into her shoulderbag of Holding and pulls out a Wand of Cure Light Wounds*

One day! For now unfortunately no - at level 4, she can't heal.

She's not a medic unfortunately, so it won't be innate; whenever she saves up 750g for the wand essentially.

Has anyone had a look at our pay structure yet?

Hey , Wand of Healing is better than 'one healer in the whole party , who also happens to be the one melee user'.

Well.. Istar and I both aren't really treasure centric. So neither of us have really asked. Besides , I ended up with a lot of GP left over from equipping her anyway , and completing the trials went and gave her more on top of that. IIRC she has something like 850 GP on her , plus two little gems and an extra Masterwork Shortbow she's gonna sell.

On the bright side, traps are likely to be a non-issue with a certain paranoid halfling to the fore.

The party may only advance 100 yards per hour, but we'll be safe!

Hey , to be fair a certain Elf can get pretty cautious and paranoid when she wants to be too. So she'll love having someone around who can spot and disable this things better than her.

Hey , that's not much slower than an A-DSD spider droid! That's a good speed!

Okay , so that was my first attempt at using present tense here..

And yes , I had to edit it from being past tense. Old habits and all.

Wait , if neither Grim or Shadow were using present tense there , can I still get away with using past tense?

"Rule 23 : never pull sentry duty on an empty stomach" applies here , methinks.

In context it also referred to a group of really , really stupid lizard men. They were much more aggressive than these guys though.

Rihaly - "I hate stone! It's heavy and sturdy and hard , and they build doors with it!"

On the bright side , least Rihaly didn't have to take 7 turns to open one bloody door yet because the fripping dice hate her.

It did mean (probably) that she didn't get a chance to get really colourful about how much she hates stone doors.

Honestly, couldn't they find some junk wood lying around? Or break down that furniture from the room with the scorpion? Hells, even use the tapestry from room one. Anything but building the bloody door out of floor!

Haha.. Istar got stuck on a fripping wood door , so I'm not sure if that would have helped Rihaly anyway. It also caused Istar to use an actual curse word , which she never does. She promptly winced and flushed Crimson over using such a vulgar word. I suggest that door trouble should always lead to cursing in our party!

Istar did get through her own stone door easily , however , so that was good.

To be fair, if you're in a dungeon or crypt the people who design them want to keep people out or in, depending on the purpose of the place.

So.

Just saying.

Floors make good doors. ^33^

I didn't say Rihaly couldn't get in the mindset of the builders of the place, if she was so inclined. But she's a thief - she's not supposed to sympathize with people who are trying to keep her out of anywhere! ^33^

Dimension Door from Present Tense to Past Tense was a bit of a surprise, and I kept having to edit my post to clean it up!

Well done! You made it through the trials and are now able to spend your well earned coppers.... *the bar tender eyes you with a hint of scorn for the number of coppers you left at a tip*
