General Discussion

You're welcome. Would your prefer if I left out the directional text? Or what would help?

If you can send a picture every time instead of the directional text that would be better. My visual spacial intelligence is very low I have a hard time picturing 3d spaces in my head with only text descriptions. The only thing I need in text is the distances so I know if my character can see that far.

I can try that. It's just a bit time consuming to do that editing on my phone. But when it comes to the actual RP with the group a picture may not be an option.

That's fair. I've done that for Shadow and HK as well when there were many options or when they couldn't remember where they had been.

That is the drawback to a purely text based RP.

I like both of those token markers! I'll have to use those at my next tabletop game!

So you're saying that my extensive Grand Army of Dxun was really destined to be NPCs in a massive RPG I eventually run?

Am I the only person to roll their one critical actually for combat?

Apparently even the dice know Istar's the only warrior in the party.

Rihaly can always help with her daggers a little here and there, though she would be the last one to call herself a warrior.

Once Perleth is level 11+ he can switch to an effective melee character for several rounds by channeling the spirit of warrior ancestors

Istar won't be the only fighter, but will be the primary melee combatant. Keth has some smoke wagons he has no problem skinning. And if those fail he's got a greataxe to finish up.

I'm not entirely sure which tense to use. Since it's DnD I feel like I should be using present tense. But because I'm using third person I default to past tense. What is everyone else doing?

I'm present tense at the moment, because the intro is too.

I'll probably play it by ear if I pass my test and join the main group.

I use whatever tense comes to mind. So I apologize to my literary companions for abusing English.

It's alright, I think I'll switch to present tense since that is how one normally plays DnD. Also, upon reading my comrade's trials and seeing that they all use some sort of light source, I just contemplated the fact that Sundamar's entire trial is happening in complete darkness lol. Just an old elf shuffling around in a dungeon without light

Haha! Yes, that is what I've been picturing. An old elf in a robe wandering around snooping through people's things.

Yes, Sundamar and his dark vision is why Rihaly is wistfully daydreaming about growing up to be an elf one day.
