Fantasy Gangs of Modena City CS (OPEN)

[Zenpai]

In this RP there are a few requirements and things marked with an asterisk (*) are optional or only required for certain circumstances, said circumstances will be specified. All of RPN's rules apply here, so if you're new to RPN, please check them out. Your character sheet is accepted when it gets a like from me or my co-GM C CRYOCTOBER . All people accepted into the RP will get a link to the Discord server, and it is recommended that you use discord as a more immediate OOC and for announcements. There will not be an OOC thread on RPN due to this.
CHARACTER CREATION RULES:
1: No unkillable characters and no one-hit-kill abilities. Every character must have a reasonable power and weaknesses to go along with it. Nobodody can be invincible or kill somebody with a touch.
2: Anthropomorphic characters are allowed, but a species/breed must be specified.
3: No divine beings. Gods and Demons will likely not be permitted unless they have clearly defined weaknesses and can be killed. As said before, no invulnerability and their powers can't be the equivalent of a nuke.
4: No omniscience or omnipotence (You cannot be all-knowing or all-powerful)
5: Face claims are preferable for appearance, but a short paragraph describing your character is acceptable.
6: Making two characters is allowed, but don't make more than you can handle, and don't abandon one character mid-RP.

Name: Braelyn Graham

Face claim: Kelsey Asbill Chow
Species/Breed: Human
Personality: Although strong hearted with a spiteful attitude, Braelyn has had events happen where she has a hard outside shell. She mainly pushes those she doesn't away or to prove her worth for those she does know, but if you get to know her she is actually loyal and determined. She feels the hard persona is to keep herself safe and no one should know who she truly is.
Likes: Pastries, swimming, messing with people, going to bars, flirting, and tacos
Dislikes: Cocky people, very hot temperatures, wine, makeup, and not eating when she wants
Abilities/Powers: Pain Illusion and Electrokinesis
Weaponry: Uses some guns, but is more skilled with swords and daggers. She favors shruiken blades which she keeps on her person at all times in case she needs it.
Weakness: She can die like any other human and when it comes to stress or any emotional negativity, she cannot control her electrokinesis. Braelyn can't stop it when in said state, but if she is happy and calm it is easier for her to not have her power got haywire.
Criminal History: Grand theft, assault, and robbery (banks and jewelry)
Backstory: Growing up, her beloved dad had died in a car wreck that left the offender to escape and was never caught. With the tragic news reaching her mother, she had gotten into drugs. The pain of her husband's death was so great that the drugs got more dangerous and illegal. Braelyn had tried to talk some sense into her, but she didn't listen.

After a few years, Braelyn didn't care and had started running with the gangs. Since her mother didn't care about herself or her daughter, she didn't care either. Braelyn had gotten a job as a waitress at a small diner and behind closed doors was a gang member. Gotta still make a living, right? Eventually she would go on raids and sometimes would get caught, however she was always being bailed out.

Evey now and again, she would visit her mother. Well, more like look through the window and see if she was still alive. Just a glimmer of hope that she had pulled herself together. It made her more angry seeing how frail and sick she looked. The sight made Braelyn get involved into more crime. What was she to do?

A month or so had passed and Braelyn had received word of her mother's passing. She wasn't surprised but also hurt. She went to identify her, attend the funeral, and stay by her grave for a couple of days crying. That was when she knew she had to leave to start a new life, proving her worth to her mother that she was stronger.

Other: She has a tattoo of a sunflower on her right foot, but doesn't like to talk about it due to it having meaning

demnkiller I have somewhat of an issue with the weakness. She can't be more powerful than a normal human but not have a weakness to balance it out. I have some suggestions due to the electrokinesis powers. Maybe Make it so she cannot go into bodies of water without discharging electricity, or something similar. Or maybe since she has a somewhat psychic ability with the pain illusions, she's more vulnerable to psychic attacks in turn.

Zenpai well, how I worded it might've been confusing. If you allow it, she can basically die like any other human. Due to her being one, people do make mistakes and if someone were to punch her in the face she would bleed and/or get a wound. If someone were to shoot her, she'd suffer great injury or die. She can't heal so she would either need to go to a hospital or to a healer. But I do have an idea.

Name: Damian Moreau

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Personality: Damian is rather shameless. He is quite open about some things others would find embarrassing and doesn't think twice about it. He tends to have somewhat of a short fuse but does make an effort to keep it under control. He doesn't tend to be very kind to others, except those few he cares about or people who are valuable to him. One of the things he hates the most is not getting the respect he deserves. He has a bit of a difficult time trusting people and it usually takes some time and dedication to get on his good side.

Abilities/Powers*: Haemokinesis (Blood manipulation) & Osteokinesis (Bone manipulation)

Weaponry*: Often carries daggers and throwing knives, not only to use for offense but also so he can get easier access to his own blood.

Weakness: He has a rather weak underbelly and gets reckless when enraged. His tail is also a weak spot on his body.

Criminal History*: Assault, Public Indecency, Vandalism.

Backstory: When he was around two years old, his parents abandoned him. He was found by the police and taken to an orphanage where he met his best friend and, eventually, lover. When he met Risas, they quickly became friends and would talk every chance they got. Once their friendship grew, they would sneak out at night to go to an abandoned mansion half a mile from the orphanage and they would break the old furniture when they were frustrated, take a portable radio and listen to music together. They were practically inseparable. It wasn't all that surprising when their relationship grew deeper. Their old hiding place became a romantic meeting place, and they promised to stay together, and never separate, even if they were both adopted by different families. Neither of them was ever adopted, and Risas turned 18 a few months before Damian, but once they were both out, they decided to start their life together. Together, they started the Dark Impulses. They don't entirely know what reason they did it exactly, maybe for the sense of family they never got, maybe to give that to others, and the money they made was a nice bonus. They lead the Dark Impulses together, Damian taking care of the more violent side, the Assassinations and hits, the theft, and the protection services. Risas runs the less violent, more subtle half of the operation, handling the prostitution, drug dealing, and police connections. Together, they run one of the most prominent gangs in Modena and are quite a force to be reckoned with.

Personality: Draven is cold-hearted and will never care about you or your goals. He only cares about nothing but what he considers important. Ruthlessly calculating and hates to beat around the bush. Unless it benefits his goals, he is always brutally honest and cares little of what you think of him. Merciless unless you are of marginal use to him. Will do anything to get what he desires.
Likes*: Honesty, Getting right to the point, Efficiency, Intelligence, Being left alone, Cold hard facts and Classical Music.
Dislikes*: Stupidity, Emotions, Light, and Daytime.
Abilities/Powers*:
[Darkness Manipulation] (Cannot make darkness, must have a source to draw from)
-Shadow travel (can travel from one pool of shadows/darkness to another but can't take any other living being with him)
-Darkness Solidification (can solidify tendril, threads, or tentacles to bind and attack)
-Dark Regeneration (heals at an advanced rate while within darkness)
-Night vision (can see in total darkness)
Weaponry*: Aikido martial art, and shadows
Weakness: Powers are all but nonexistent while he is within an area with bright lights. When powers are suppressed he is weaker than a small child. Also, he and his powers are weaker during the day.
Criminal History*: Attempted murder, Larceny, and Burglary.
Backstory: Draven was born on a new moon with a starless night to a cult who did a ritual during his mother's birthing process that ended up infusing him with powers over darkness and shadows. As he was growing up he realized the uselessness of emotions that the other kids had and the stupidity that was living with this cult. He, at the age of 6, was taken away by authorities and was put into foster care where he was passed along family by family because no one wanted a kid who showed little to no emotions. After he was forced out of the system he fell into a local small time gang who appreciated his intellect and powers. They used him to further their own goals until they pushed it a little too far and tried to assassinate the local police chief. When they sent Draven to do the assassination a rival gang who disliked the power the new gang was getting turned them in and tipped off the police chief. Which ended up in Draven being arrested for attempted murder and tried in court but the judge against the wishes of the victim and prosecutor gave him leniency and only sentenced him for 1 year in prison. Draven served his time and was eventually released for "good behavior". Draven has set out to find the gang that turned him in and turn them inside out and to do that he knows he needs to find powerful backing that will allow him to do so.
