Aquarians:
The water bearers. The nomads.
A generally easy-going group of people whose exact position at any given time has only one condition. It must be near a water source. Even those among them without the ability to bend find their skins extremely permeable and evaporation to be deadly. They are travelers an adventurers.
Only through constant dousing and consumption of water can they remain healthy.
The benefit of this constant strain on their bodies is that bending causes no additional draining (Unless blood is used - an extremely dangerous and difficult form of bending punishable by execution) and is therefore indefinite.
Forms of magic include : Weather manipulation; Healing of humans/animals; Formation and control of Ice and/or Water; Shape-shifting ( Due to an ability to manipulate the chemicals and protein synthesis within their own bodies )
Turfers:
The earth bearers. The family.
Turfers generally settle in large, deeply intimate groups found in forests, deserts, mountains and wide, open plains. In general their people view all life in all forms as an extended part of themselves. They tend to be hard-headed and stubborn. They are farmers, artists and musicians.
Their magic is limited by its usage. The more powerful the magic and the more of it you use, the faster you die. In exchange for magic, they return to Gaea - slowly becoming natural statues. Their skin grows hard and tints brown and their hair turns to green in a process known as reversion. At the time of their magic's depletion they grow into the ground and form part of the ecosystem, transforming into varying forms of vegetation over the years. It is said that there is nothing more beautiful than a Reverted woman.
All Turfers, benders or not, learn to communicate with their ancestors in the above mentioned state meaning that knowledge acquired over generations is never forgotten.
Magic forms include : Revival (An incredibly powerful and rare magic unheard of in the current time. A new vessel is needed) ; Creation of varying forms of golem ; Shifting of earth and/or metal ; Ability to drastically speed the growth of plant-based lifeforms as well as manipulate them; Ability to heal plant-based lifeforms.
Pyrokines:
The fire bearers. The strong.
Pyrokines, an offshoot of Kine, have all but disappeared from everyday life. Manipulation by the Kine has resulted in them being extremely discriminated against due to their threatening power. They reside in intricately hidden and heavily defended communities. They are the athletes, the natural born fighters. They are generally cheeky, reckless and abrasive.
While Pyrokines have the ability to use intensely powerful magic it is severely limited. Pyrokine magic depletes at an extremely fast rate due to a constant amount of it being used to maintain their bodies. As a result cuts, bruises, broken bones and amputations heal at a rate up to 200% faster than other groups. No physical injury lasts long.
However, as their power is restricted to the formation and manipulation of fire they are in contact with, they are literally burnt alive as they bend - feeling as much pain as any ordinary human being. During usage the process of the Pyrokines skin charring and falling away, only to be replaced with quickly regenerated particles can be clearly seen.
Magic forms: Varying forms of manipulation according to your interpretation ; Nuclear (An intensely complicated and unbearable form of magic where the user's body is heated to the point of becoming pure energy. This is arguably the most powerful of all magics, at the cost of the casters life.)
Kines:
The manipulators of the mind. The privileged.
Members of the Kine usually reside within Arcane city, although they have free range to settle where they wish. They are academics and admirers of the 'mind altering' (including drugs/substances, psychology, sex, ect.) They are generally wealthy, witty, mysterious and tricky.
Kines have the ability to manipulate any mind in a manner of almost unending possibilities. They are quick-thinking and great strategists. The downside to their power is that they can easily be drawn into and lost in their own illusions. Training can limit the chances of this happening to very intricate manipulations and those who are weak minded. The majority of Kines have undergone such training.
All Kines are able to communicate via. the mind.
