As the days and nights pass, the village readies itself for a festival amidst your tragedy. The "Banquet of the Beyond", so it was called. Supposedly it was in honor of departed souls, but it was rumored among the children that on this day, the realms of the living and dead were closest. So close, in fact, that sometimes, wandering souls can cross into the opposite realm.
