He kissed her forehead like he had last night and went to check on hsi workers, making sure they were all alright.

She touched her forehead and smiled. She was happy that he cared about her.

Once he was sure all of his workers were safe he told them to wait until they gave their statements before leaving. And it would all be a paid vacation. Luckily all of the money was somewhere safe that no one but himself and Xio knew about.

Xio wanted to hug him again but didn't know if he would be okay with it, so she just stood there and smiled.

When he went back to Xio, he smiled at her and looked around. The police were arriving as well as other emergency personnel.

"It's a shame this happened..." Xio said looking down.

 

[AlexisLaura]

"Yeah..." He sighed softly. "But at least we are all okay."

"I suppose." She looked at him. "I'm really glad you're okay."

"I'm glad you are as well. Would that gas have hurt you too or no?"

"No, it only hurts beings that breathe and inhale oxygen."

He nodded and sighed softly. Good. At least Xio wouldn't have been at any risk.

"But you would have died... I wonder why I didn't sense it before."

 

[AlexisLaura]

"It's all right. It's something Williams did. He hid it very well."

"I suppose..." She sighed.

 

[AlexisLaura]

"Hey, don't worry so much, okay? The important thing is you did notice it, before it was too late. And you saved us all." He kissed her forehead again. "Please, don't beat yourself up about it."

She lightly hugged him. "Thank you..."

 

[AlexisLaura]

"No. Thank you." He said, holding her tight.

She wanted this moment to last forever. She smiled wide embraceing Kimichi. "Do not forget I care about more than myself."

Kimichi smiled a little and shook his head. "Then take care of yourself. It makes me happy when you are as well."

"I'll always be fine. I can't get sick or anything like that. I can live knowing I'll be fine my whole life.

"Not if someone is trying to hurt you. They could mess with you somehow..."

"While that is true, I can defend myself just fine."

Kimichi sighed softly. "I'm just worried."

"Don't be. You have nothing to worry about."
