No More Pretending

Six Thousand Club
My name is Annabel Smith, and I'm an author. Though, one thing you should know is that there's something special about my books.

The characters come to life.

Now, now. Don't judge me before you hear me out.

The first time this happened was with a character, Tristan Daoi. I was sitting at my desk, working on a descriptive paragraph about him and he walked right through the door! Silver hair, red eyes, and fangs all wrapped up in a stubborn and possessive personality.

While this is amazing and all, this guy hanging around me isn't exactly good for my love life. He scares off every guy that dares to come near. This doesn't stop me from dreaming, though. Every once in a while, one of my characters will appear. They'll stay a while, then disappear when they feel they have overstayed their welcome. I can only assume they go back into the story. Tristan always stays, though, much to my annoyance. But, the one character I could only dream of coming to life just might have made it into my world.

(okay, so mainly, one of the characters that the author has created and is very fond of suddenly appears. To Jump in, describe your OC and get started!)

Annabel sat and wrote some more of her favorite character's backstory. This character was just so easy to write for. She simply needed to sit down and type. The words just flowed from her fingers. She couldn't stop thinking about him. So, she was writing a book about him.

Aiden appeared to be normal. He was a kind, sweet boy, yet at the same time, he was probably the most unique one you would ever meet. He was an orphan at birth, switched around from foster home to foster home until he was adopted. The man that adopted him was wealthy. He was a widower who used an excuse that his deceased wife always wanted a boy.

At first, things started out well, until one day, when his adoptive father revealed his true motives. He was a scientist, and needed a test subject. That day, he performed genetic testing on Aiden, changing him ever so slightly, but it was enough.

Aiden grew little horns, like that of a juvenile goat, somewhat reminiscent of candy corn in color and shape. His eyes were different, though very alluring if you were to see him. That was all the scientist needed. He dumped him off to fend for himself.

Aiden made a decent living once he managed to get up on his feet. The boy was a fighter. Nothing could keep him down. He was a strong young man and fought for what he believed in. Courageous, heroic even. Even when he had very little to give, he helped those around him in need. Despite his odd appearance, everyone that met him practically adored him...

She sighed as she leaned back, turning around to come in contact with the red eyes of Tristan. "God!!!" She exclaimed. "You scared me!!"

"Are you writing about another boy?" He asked, eyes narrowing.

"Yeah. So?" She asked, annoyed.

"He isn't coming, is he?"

"With my luck? no. Nobody decent like him."

"I resent that statement, dragul meu..." Tristan grumbled.

Aiden suddenly appeared as she wrote he was a stunning man his pupils were shaped like a triquetra with the type of person Aiden was he knew who he liked and disliked right of the back when he looked a Tristan he instantly took a disliking to him and then looked at Annabel and took and instant liking to her.

Annabel sighed softly as she leaned back, yawning. "Why don't you stop staring at me and make yourself useful, Tristan?" She asked.

"I am," he said.

"By doing what?" She questioned.

"Making sure you aren't alone."

Aiden rolled his eyes "Not a single bit of respect in this one" Aiden said becoming mild annoyed by Tristan "She said beat so get a move on" He said. Aiden was friendly but he disliked cocky self centered people.

Annabel jumped and stared at Aiden, eyes widening. "...you're...here.." She whispered, standing and walking towards him. "Holy shit!"

Aiden looked at her "You wished for me to be here so here I am" he said looking at her Aiden planned to completely ignore the other blockhead since he was there for her and not him

Tristan glared coldly at Aiden. "I'm going to the kitchen..." He muttered.

She looked at him. "I-is that what you think?" She asked softly. "I-I'm really sorry... I'm confused. Do you know how you got here?"

Aiden looked at her "You're wishes brought me here you wrote me so here I am again" he said. looking at her.
