this was written from a beach somewhere along the gulf of mexico hi there! i'm river or will or whatever you choose to call me!
i'm a 21-year-old that works in media and communications with a passion for writing creatively to get me out of the daily drag of beat writing and editing photos all day.
who i am - i have close to 10 years of roleplaying experience - spent a lot of time on figment from before drifting away as I started high school. kept some small rps going with some friends here and there. just gotten back into the real swing of things within the last six months or so
- i've written professionally for 6 years and have over 1,000 articles published across the internet (this isn't a flex, i promise, this is just me telling you i know how to write 0.o). i work in sports journalism and cover a college athletics beat full-time along with a national job and a video editing job, my god am i a sleepy boy
- my music tastes include everything from indie rock to rap to latin to metal, so my playlists are a mess. and all of my ocs come with mood playlists, so be prepared hehe

my hopes for our rp - please be 18+
- big fan of ooc chatting! like let's make a separate thread for it, even.. in my experiences, that creates the best rps! but if you're not comfortable with it, that's okay. i did meet one of my best friends roleplaying so that was fun
- i've been a mood where i'm writing like 1,200-1,600 word replies. obviously, i don't ask for that back, but will ask for a literate/advanced lit level partner!
- mainly rp in pms, with fade to black romance and stuff that falls in line with RPN's rules
- i ask for at least one reply every 4-7 days, but understand if stuff is going on. i'm out of town for work a lot myself, so i may be spotty and will communicate as needed.
- i love romance*. if it's not there, it's not there, but i love to make it a chunk of the story
* = lately i haven't been feeling the fluffy romances that i once did. kind of vibing with more dark stuff lately, i'll have some stuff in my plots/other random stuff that you can check out!

- Muse A and Muse B work for rival media organizations and cover the same news on the same beat. Because they're always on the same news, they live together. One day, Muse A gets a scoop that could be a career-changing piece of news. Does Muse A share that scoop with Muse B so they stay on equal footing in the industry?
- Muse A is a science company's crowning achievement. A humanoid prototype android that can feel emotion. Muse A finds a way to break out of the shackles it finds itself in and escapes the high-security HQ. Muse B is an employee (or president's daughter?) at the company and runs into Muse A as they are escaping. Muse A pleads their case to Muse B. Will Muse B harbor them and help them complete their escape? Will Muse A's emotions lead to a relationship with Muse B that makes it impossible for the company to continue to keep the android captive?

The Dance of Death. While many historians believe that the Black Death was caused by fleas living on rats from Asian ships, what if they got it all wrong? Set in 1346, an old, laden ritual in Paris led by rebels against the Catholic church, this group unleashes a horrid plague upon the world with their Danse Macabre within abandoned chapels in France's growing metropolis. Muse A is a long-standing member of the rebellion group and has been thrust into a leadership role to make sure the event goes perfectly. Muse B has heard rumors about the group and wants to join after a recent issue with a priest that makes them want to act out against the church and sees the dance as a perfect opportunity to do so. They become dance partners on the night of the event and will soon have to learn that the movements they make on that evening have dire consequences.
seven - men i trustIf two lovers weren't enough for Muse A, then maybe a third would have to do. For years, Muse A had been contempt by going back and forth between two lovers, even having multiple threesomes between the duo in an extremely messy love triangle. Satisfaction wasn't enough for them, because all they wanted was more, even though he was effectively in a polygamist relationship with no issues. But what was Muse A's idea of having enough? Muse B attempts to answer some of those problems, but will it be enough, especially with Muse A's prior lovers sticking around town? After a while, Muse B wisens up to the games that Muse A plays and becomes friends with his prior companions to conspire against him in hopes to make him see the errors of his ways.
the quiet things that no one ever knows - brand new Muse A and B's relationship are on the brink after getting married at 18 and living happily together for 7-10 years. Many of their disagreements had to do with work, how they wanted to live their lives and if they wanted to live with or without kids, which led to heated arguments almost nightly. But on one night, they decided to take a road trip through the back roads and get through all of their problems in one last ditch effort to save their relationship. It ultimately goes well and they have the time of their lives remembering all of the good things that attracted them to each other in the first place. They felt youthful again, so much to where they begin drinking and driving. From there, it all goes wrong, as Muse A crashes into a tree, putting Muse B into critical condition and eventually a coma at the hospital. While Muse A tries to figure out the next steps, Muse B finds them 'beyond the grave' to give Muse A messages about various things regarding their relationship - including a vital piece of information as doctors tell Muse A to pull the plug.

Their fling brings them back to their home lands in neighboring states/provinces and the desire to reignite what they had over that summer is extreme, but there's one problem. Muse A is already tied to someone in an arranged marriage to marry into another wealthy family to keep the cycle alive. As much as they don't want to, Muse A is seemingly locked into it, which creates a bit of an ugly situation when Muse B shows up on their doorstep unannounced for an unexpected reunion. Things turn violent as Muse A's parents don't want Muse B to interfere with the plans and things turn into a forbidden romance.
streetcar - funeral for a friend Two months and eight weeks since Muse A left on an unexplained, unexpected and unreasonable lavish trip across the country with people they'd only known for about a week at the start of the trip, Muse B calls them in a last ditch effort to get Muse A to reconsider and come home. Instead of actually getting to talk to Muse A, Muse B gets a voicemail that Muse A never receives. When the cross-country trip ends, Muse A and their newly found friends - known for drugs, drinking and swinging - decide to move in together, just houses down from Muse B. When Muse B realizes Muse A is back in town without letting them know, Muse B becomes furious and does everything they can to disrupt and sabotage Muse A and the group in a swift case of revenge. Muse A eventually realizes the mistakes they've made, although it may end up being too late to salvage anything, material and emotional.
pieces - sum 41 Being left at the altar was already hard enough to deal with, but having to be reminded of it with every single mundane thing that catches the eye is even harder. Muse A lives that life, left by Muse B at the altar for another. Muse A falls into a depressive state coupled with addiction. One of Muse A's addictions is finding out every little thing that Muse B and their new fiancée are doing by stalking them, which ultimately hurts Muse A more than being left at the wedding. Every thing that Muse A and B had done together - from the stores they shopped in to the food they ate on a regular Sunday in March - haunts Muse A to an extreme, insane state. After a while, Muse B begins to feel guilty for causing a person they once loved to fall that far, and inches back into Muse A's life to try and save them. This quickly puts a strain on Muse B's new marriage - which they keep secret from Muse A in fear of retaliation - while Muse A becomes hopeful that the pair are getting back to the place they were before disaster struck.
