Monday, Spring 1st, 5:00 a.m.

It was a bright morning. As bright as morning could be in Twilight Falls. Dolly sat up in her bed, underneath the shining full moon. The previous night had been New Year's Eve, and she had stayed up until the wee hours of the morning, forgetting the consequences of doing so. She looked over at her alarm clock. 5:00 a.m. "At least I got three hours of sleep..." she muttered as she slid out of her bed, rubbing her eyes.

Dolly didn't normally wake up so early for her mail route, but today was special. It was the start of her plan to bring Dawn Springs and Twilight Falls closer together. Ever since she was a child, she never knew what the daylight was like, having to live in the eternal dusk of Twilight Falls. This plan would change that, though. Everything would be better.

She walked to her desk, her mailbag hanging from the chair in front of it. On the desk were several envelopes filled with a monthly event schedule. She and the mail carrier from Dawn Springs were able to coordinate an event schedule with the help of several willing townsfolk, bringing back the traditional festivals and competitions from the towns' past. These events would be hosted in Noon Meadows, and would help rekindle the friendship between the two towns. She stuffed all of the envelopes in her bag and changed into her uniform.

She knew not everyone would agree with this idea, so the two had selected the recipients of the schedules very carefully. In addition to some of the more easygoing older folks and children, they had chosen 9 other single young adults in hopes that they would find romance with each other and show the witches these two towns truly can get along.

Dolly knew it was a risky idea, but she loved risks. The greater the risk, the greater the reward, and this was possibly one of the best rewards she, and all the other residents of these two towns, could gain. She was hoping that as the festivals continued throughout the year, word would spread and the residents would warm up to the idea.

She hopped on her bike as she locked the door to her house, pedaling around the neighborhood delivering the letters to the residents of the town, knowing that in Dawn Springs, Harry was doing the same.

She finished delivering the letters around 6:00 a.m., knowing that the residents would be waking up anytime now, expecting her to come by in a couple hours to deliver their actual mail. She yawned as she reached her house once again, leaving her bike on the patio. She laid back down on her bed and tried to get a couple more hours of sleep, since 9:00 was when she'd really have to get going with the mail.

Monday, Spring 1st, 6:00 a.m.

The alarm clock let out a shrill cry as it rang in the early hours of the morning. Pledge whined slightly, her arm sleepily swinging toward the tiny mechanical machine on her bedside table. She knocked off the glass of water that had also been sitting there and spilt it all across the floor.

"Aw, crap..." she muttered, sitting straight up. "Why does the stupid brewery have to open at 7:00 a.m...? Ridiculous... It's not like anyone's going to be awake this early for another drink..." She flinched, trying to ignore the throbbing headache from last night's mistakes as she wobbled across the house to fetch a mop to clean up the mess. She wasn't much of a partygoer, but New Years Eve was always a celebration at her brewery, and she ended up overdoing it with three drinks instead of her usual two.

She peeked out of her window as she passed by the kitchen, perking up at the little red flag poking up on her mailbox. Intrigued, she walked out barefoot, stepping over her cobblestone path to reach the mailbox. She slowly opened the door and pulled out the letter that was inside. Looking around to make sure nobody could see her in her pajamas, she tucked the letter under her arm and sprinted back to her home, closing the door behind her.

She cut open the envelope and almost ripped out the paper that was inside. Her eyes widened with every word it bypassed.

"...Wh... what?!"

Freddie, always having believed firmly in the phrase “the early bird gets the worm” ever since he was a small child, was up bright and early as usual, far before his parents as had been his custom for quite a while. Going through the motions in a sleepy haze at first, he got out of his pajamas and put on a checkered red and white shirt and a pair of trusty overalls that he never worked without.

After making a hearty egg and cheese omelette for breakfast, with toast and an apple on the side, and eating it with his coffee to start the day off right, he made for the chicken coop to check for eggs. He smiled as he went around to each enclosure, seeing that a few of his precious hens had laid nice, good-sized eggs. Petting them gently as a reward, he then carefully gathered the eggs up and brought them to the nearby shed where everything that was going to be delivered to town was stored before being shipped.

Then, he went about milking the cows. As far as he knew, his farm was one of the only ones still in operation that still did things the old fashioned way, and as far as he was concerned, he’d always be doing it this way. The way most modern farms did things rubbed him the wrong way, it seemed cruel. He could never bring himself to raise animals for meat, let alone treat them the way they were treated in industrial farms.

After doing a few more chores around the house, he headed back to the farmhouse as, in his head, he planned out his day. To his surprise, he saw the red flag on his mailbox raised. Intrigued, assuming it was mail for his parents, he opened the box and his eyes went wide as he saw that the letter was for him.

Opening it and reading, that look of wonder only grew. “Well I’ll be…’ he breathed. “That’s a great idea! Whoever came up with it’s a genius!” Freddie had always wanted to meet people from Twilight Falls, and now was his chance. Besides, maybe if this went well enough, the witches ruling both towns would see how well their respective subjects were getting along with people from the other town and agree to let the two mingle like in the old days Papa was always telling him about. It’d sure be nice…

His mind abuzz with excited thoughts about the letter, he found himself really looking forward to meeting some Twilight Falls folks soon. He was on board one hundred percent.

Nathan liked to get a head start on the day, and today was no exception - regardless of the leftover sleepiness from his late night the previous evening. He wasn't much of a drinker (as much as he enjoyed his job, alcohol did bad bad things to him (really, he's just a lightweight)), but boy did he enjoy a good party! Despite the late night, he had risen at his usual time of 6am and hopped down the stairs, attempting to dress as he moved, and entered the kitchen, where his grandmother had left him a pre-made breakfast. This had become somewhat of a habit for the pair. Juniper had become aware that her grandson was skipping breakfast to get out and snap his pictures all day, so she had begun leaving his breakfast out the night before and packing him a bag with lunch for later in the day. No grandson of hers was going to be missing meals, not if she had anything to do with it.

Nathan placed the single slice of toast in his mouth, slung his bag over his shoulder, hung his camera around his neck and ran for the front door. On his way out, munching his toast, he noticed the red flag indicating their mail had arrived. A little early, he thought to himself with a shrug. Nate took out the single letter addressed simply to the household and stuffed it in his pocket, intending to read it once he had reached the park. He had decided the empty swing-sets and climbing frames may make for interesting art.

At half past 6, once he had set himself up on a comfortable bench, trusty camera at the ready for the right lighting, Nate pulled out the letter. He particularly enjoyed this time of day, with most of Twilight Falls' occupants still asleep - it was almost as if he had the town to himself. With a small smile on his face, Nate finally read his letter. "Huh," was all he said. Well, this should be very interesting.

Now, with an even bigger smile, Nate set about his morning task...

Dawn Springs

Clint slowly awoke to the sound of birds chirping along with the wailing moans of the sheep who were wanting to be fed. It was usual for their lazy owner to be late for his duties but the festivities of the prior night had taken a toll on him. Clink took a loose striped shirt and took his time to prepare for the day. It took him a while to get ready mostly because he had kept falling back asleep in-between preparations. It was seriously taking a long time until Mint, one of Clint's largest sheep and the one who had bonded with Clint bursted into the house and kept nudging Clint to get ready.

After almost 30 minutes, Clint had gotten dressed and cleaned himself up. He grabbed his Sheppard's herding staff by the door and proceeded to lead the sheep but he noticed he had a letter in his mailbox.

“Odd...” he muttered to himself. The mail should not have been delivered until much later. Clint quickly scanned the letter and smiled. It was a nice idea but it seemed like a lot of work.

“I'll let the others handle it.” he said to himself not wanting to do any work. He placed the letter into his back pocket as he lead his heard to new grazing grounds. The morning sun blazed down onto the fields; oh how he wished for the coolness of night. It would be so nice to sleep at 'night'.

Monday, Spring 1st, 6:55 a.m

The monotonous beeping of Luna's alarm clock continued as it had the past twenty-five minutes. She would usually worry about this, but she didn't let people in till after 7:30, so she relaxed. It was when her hand knocked over her coffee onto her head that she decided it was time to wake up, hitting her alarm clock with enough force to quell the beeping beast of the morning. After a quick shower, and a quick change into some suitable clothes, she stepped out of her bedroom and walked towards her desk. While some people would complain about living in the same building where they work, being a maximum fifteen feet from her door to her workplace ensured she didn't have to worry about being late.

After making herself a coffee to fight her nasty hangover's drowsiness, she hastily stumbled out of her workhouse towards the mailbox, stumbling over a stray branch. Falling forwards, she took her mailbox down with her. A mild chuckle slipped it's way through her childish anger as she checked to see what had been delivered this early in the morning.

She ripped the side of the envelope open and funneled out the letter, slowly reading the letter as she struggled to see. She looked to her side and grabbed her glasses, separated from her during the fall towards the ground and put them on lazily. She re-read the letter, a quiet "Huh?" escaped her lips as she looked towards the morning-night sky. She sat back up and re-adjusted her clothes before getting up and walking back inside. She dropped the letter to the left of her computer and put on some music, sitting down and taking a large sip of her coffee (covfefe) as she got to writing.

(If you want to listen to a couple of the songs Luna would listen to, click Here or Here or Here, I can provide music in every post if any of you would appreciate it :p )

Monday, Spring 1st, 7:00 a.m.

John wakes up to the sound of nearby bicycles passing by, along with a few people making noises here and there and of course, his alarm. He didn't seem to mind and found it to be a common thing in Twilight Falls. In fact, he found the sunset more annoying than anything. He kinda had a wish and that wish was to see the night and the day, but especially the night. Anyways, let's not get into too much detail.

He gets up from his bed, shutting down the alarm and going for his drawer where he takes his phone from. After that, he goes to his wardrobe to get dressed and ready for work. Putting on his clothes should have taken no longer than 2 minutes and right after that, he rushed to another division of his apartment to make some food for himself, a small sandwich with ham. Nothing more.

After finishing his breakfast he quickly rushes out of his house, slamming the door behind him and going to the local bar (if you allow me to, let's call it...) Twilight Haven where he spends most of his day working until 9:00 AM which after that he goes back to his house to retrieve something he forgot about earlier, he would quickly return to the bar though.

Dawn groggily woke up as her alarm went off to scream at her and tell her that it's already morning and it's a good time to stop having a good sleep. She grumpily sat up which made the cucumbers which used to be lazily refreshing the spot over her eyes slid off her cheeks. Dawn pulled it off her face and smacked the noisy object to make it stop ringing right before stretching both arms up in the air as she released a good yawn. The blonde girl threw said cucumber bought from the local farm to the trash can at the corner of her room.

It wasn't long before her eyes spotted the letter she discarded on top of her end table the night before. It contains the schedule she so obediently wrote a lot of copies of to send to the other Dawn Springs villagers. The young lady did her morning routines and vanity.

When she went down the stairs to get her daily hot chocolate, she saw her father already there and was already half way pouring a cup of hot chocolate. "Thanks dad." she approached the mayor before grabbing the said cup. The blonde man simply smiled at this, "Good morning, sunshine!" he said.

Dawn rolled her eyes, "Good morning too but when was it not a morning here."

Dawn Springs is a village that is....stuck in an eternal sunrise due to some unfortunate event that is totally the fault of the mayor of Twilight Faults. Ah well whatever, at least their village isn't as creepy as the latter who's stuck in an eternal night.

But honestly, this is really irking Dawn off. Sometimes the light blinds her and she could barely close her eyes better yet fall asleep. She took a sip from her hot cocoa as her father discussed the schedule for the month and reminding her that the library shouldn't be close during the first day. Dawn would just simply nod her head at whatever her father would say, not really paying enough attention to it.

Monday Spring 1st 7:45am
The sun was starting to rise clearly in the distance behind her, as Jini was walking home very early in the morning. Often will she visit her mother in Dawn Springs due to frequent worry and concern. It usually took her several hours to reach home back in Twilight Falls, but some things seem to never change. Crossing through Noon Meadow to get home was almost relaxing to Jini as the sunlight will fade behind her setting now ahead of her. It was like walking through an unrealistic time change zone, but it was very realistic here.
The traveling doctors steps were quiet in the springs grass covered path, though it only was more fitting for her as quiet as she was herself. The birds were already wide awake at this time, chirping their tunes and flying around joyfully. She enjoyed wildlife very much, but she was too tired to appreciate it as much as she could of. Reaching the foothills of the town, the skies grew a little darker signifying she was now in a new place. Jini preferred the darkness of Twilight Falls over Dawn Springs but people were prone to getting sick with the lack of sunlight.
Reaching the pathway leading to her doorway, she noticed the mailbox flag was lifted up. It was too early to get any mail. She wondered what it could be. Opening the mailbox, she acquired the letter and headed inside her home getting ready for the day. Jini laid it out on the table is she prepared some warm tea to get her started, and once it was done she sat down opening the letter. She was surprised at the contents, but glad something was finally happening. Taking a small sip, she let out an even smaller, yet content sigh.

"Hm...I wonder how the other residents will take to this?" She whispered to herself.
