  August has long, shaggy hair that comes down to his neck. He rarely styles it, but sometimes he'll put it in a bun or tied back at the least. His naturally curly hair is complemented by the ombre blend of colors, with a bronze brown at his roots blending into a medium golden brown at his tips.

  Like every other vampire undergoing a "vegetarian" diet, August's eyes are a topaz, golden-orange and darken the thirstier he is.

  Augustus has always maintained a fit and well-built physique. While he possesses a muscular and defined body, he is not overly bulky, maintaining a slim profile. His skin has a pale peachy hue, smooth yet resilient, a testament to his Ekon heritage. The texture of his skin is hard, offering a subtle gleam under the light. His strong jawline and high cheekbones are complemented by full lips and a perfectly straight nose, contributing to his striking appearance.

  August bears numerous runes and ancient symbols etched into his skin, a legacy from his mother. To an unsuspecting human, these markings might seem like ordinary tattoos, but they serve a far more significant purpose: they offer protection against various spells and hexes. All of these runic designs are located on his upper body. Notably, he has a spider depicted on his sternum and a snake coiling around his left forearm. While these designs can be concealed from view through magic, August possesses a unique spell that allows him to bring the imprints to life whenever he chooses.

    August is, at heart, a progressive and open-minded person. He enjoys learning about the human world and its many different cultures and watching them grow and evolve with time. As an immortal being, not only is watching other cultures grow something that August is fond of, but he has a strong connection to the Classical Era and its music, fine arts, and literature. He's also somewhat of a car enthusiast, having a collection of over thirteen cars, with two dating back to the 1920s. And while he wishes that the war could be over, solitude & isolation from the fighting have given him a sense of clarity and peace.

    Obviously, anything that has to do with war and bloodshed is not high up on August's favorites list. He has a strong distaste for war—now, at least. When he was younger, he lived for the battle and to end the war, but things have since changed. He despises drinking from humans because he has such high regard for mortal life. Though it has no weakening effect on him, the smell of garlic disgusts Augustus to the point where he'll even hold his nose or breath. And above everything else, August hates the Vishanti Council, especially Kaecilius.

    Though he may try and maintain an appearance of fortitude, August worries and fears a lot. At the top of the list is losing the battle against the Vishanti and putting the ax to all innocent vampires, humans, and other supernaturals who were dragged into this war or have become victims of its brutality. He also fears losing his temper and letting go of his control on his true form, as that could cause the deaths of tens of thousands.

    There's not much fun about August. If anything is the most interesting, it would be his natural affinity for magic. Though not as strong as his mother's connection, he still uses the power to help him when essential. Nowadays, he's merely a simple investor just enjoying the simple, mortal lavishes of life. Additionally, he is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, Latin, Portuguese, and Vishul.

  Augustus Chappelle is an immortal being whose moral compass embodies the essence of a true hero. He dedicates himself to protecting the innocent, harbors a deep disdain for injustice, and would willingly sacrifice his own life for the greater good. However, he does not shy away from taking lives when necessary, especially when it comes to those who harm the innocent or support the oppressive forces of the Underworld. For Augustus, human life is sacred and should be respected, making him reluctant to inflict fatal harm on mortals.
  
  Pragmatic by nature, Augustus is straightforward in his desires and expressions. While he possesses a keen understanding of humor and appreciates gaiety, he rarely allows himself to indulge in laughter or jest. This restraint stems from a desire to shield his more vulnerable, human side—a facet of himself that has been exploited in the past, and one he wishes to avoid repeating. History is a constant companion for Augustus; he diligently studies past battles, experiences, and behaviors to glean lessons that inform his actions in the present.
  
  Having originated from an era that valued chivalry towards kings, queens, and nobles—though he himself was part of the nobility—Augustus is instinctively drawn to uphold these traditions.   Isabel Chappelle was the first person August ever loved and his closest confidant. She was his foundation and support, his closest ally, his second-best friend and absolute guardian . . . she was his mother. The night August found Isabel murdered, it felt like the world had literally stopped turning. Nothing made sense anymore, and there was only anger that coursed through August's veins. Life was lonely & cold, and August abandoned everything he stood for because of it. That would revert once he learned the truth and suffered the loss of his sister, too.

  The relationship between father and son is anything but normal, nowadays. To say the least, it is heavily strained. Ever since his mother's murder, August has not once spoken to his father, both before and after Matteo was blamed for the crime. The night August fled from the Vishanti, he did leave a goodbye letter for his father—apologizing for his distant and neglectful behavior, but also wishing that they never cross paths again because they'd both know that one would have to kill the other. Ever since then, the tension between the two immortal boys has been as tight as day one. And the day when they may have to come across that battle is mentally dreadful to both boys.

  Eva, August's fraternal sister & best friend, was the last person to be a source of happiness and provide a sense of joy in the world for August. In their childhood, August and Eva were inseparable and constantly in competition with one another. But ever since her death, August has had little to rely on to keep him gratified during immortality. With the deaths of his mother and beloved twin sister, August had become shrouded in gloom and unhappiness.

  Kaecilus and August are rivals, well, more like enemies, actually. August has much hate and disgust for the "Head" of the Underworld due to Kaecilius's sinister nature and having August's mother killed. Though August despises Kaecilius, the feeling isn't all that mutual. Kaecilius adores August for a multitude of reasons. His heritage, abilities, the fact that he was the first Ekon, and quite plainly, Kaecilius enjoys bickering with the heroic vampire. So despite the animosity on August's end, Kaecilius adores the Chappelle boy.

  the first part of life

  Born on a grueling day at the beginning of July during the year 1508, August was welcomed into the Supernatural world from the start. His father, Matteo Vasari, was—at the time—the world's second deadliest vampire, especially for being an Ashagi vampire. August's mother, Isabel de la Croix, was the heir to the de la Croix witch power. Since August was born, he was to be the next heir; he and his fraternal twin sister, Eva. They both were catalysts for their mother's connection to magic and their father's dark ties as a vampire. Since the de la Croix family power was primarily matriarchal, Eva inherited and held more raw power than her brother. The family, under the fake surname Chappelle, kept themselves bunkered in Italy. Matteo, a native to the Eastern European lifestyle, was close with the two Houses that had ruled Italy. First, the Luxembourgs and then the Habsburgs, and as such, his family was an extension of that familiarity and warm welcomes. As a young noble living in the 1500s, August was all but quiet. If he wasn't roaming the wild, untouched lands of Italy with his sister, then he was with one of his parents. And if he was in neither place, then he ought found himself in trouble with other noble families, commoners, or even the King for that matter. The monarchy was, nevertheless, still fond of the young hybrid boy—not knowing any of the Chappelle's true natures.
  
  Around the age of nine, August began having health complications. As it seemed, his lungs were starting to falter, and his body appeared to be shutting down. Still, his youthfulness kept him from feeling frightened by the dire situation, and he refused to tell anyone in his family. After all, he shouldn't fear anything. His dad was the second vampire to exist and his mom was a descendant of Hecate. So his rowdy pubescent phase of life continued nonetheless.
  
  And as his sister excelled with her magic, August was left behind to wonder if he was worthy of holding the de la Croix power. He would find himself dwelling in human affairs as a means to ignore his responsibility of continuing to learn the power he inherited. It wasn't long till August would have to change that attitude around, though. When August turned eleven, his body finally decided to give out. Though he—physically—appeared to be in his 20's, August's health was detrimentally worse than ever. Consequently, his parents were in a fluster to find a solution to the life-or-death problem, and with great haste. Matteo went to the Vishanti Council, seeking approval to turn the boy into a vampire out of desperation. The Council approved of Matteo's request but at the cost of service to the Council. Having Matteo, the first vampire transformed by the bite of Master Vampire Octavius, was an incredible asset; especially since Matteo was a highly skilled and deadly combatant.
  
  Soon after returning from the Council's dwelling, Matteo bit the dying August and infused his venom with his son's blood. It was a last-ditch effort on Matteo's part, and a noble one at that, but Matteo refused to end his son's life as a means of avoiding the pain that August would have to endure during the transformation process. There was also no way of knowing if August would even live through the bite. So, by killing his son preemptively, Matteo would end his son's life before they could try everything in their power—or at least Isabel's power. Isabel was a powerful witch, capable of defying all laws of nature and the supernatural, and it was within her power to save her son.
  
  As his father's venom slowly worked its way through August's dying body, Isabel realized that it wouldn't take effect in time. August's weakened body could not swiftly disperse the venom. With that in mind, Isabel could think of only one way to save her son: to create a new species of vampire. As Julius Caesar Octavius once had, Isabel called upon the powers of Hell. She summoned a demon, Xikras, and immediately fractured the Lord of Hell—his soul, to be exact. Then, Isabel fractured her own. With two splintered souls, she fused them together and instilled them in her son. In doing so, she gave him the spark he needed to continue living, but it also altered his father's venom. August hadn't transformed into an Ashagi vampire, but instead became the first Ekon.

  Saved by his mother, Augustus returned to his teenage shenanigans. This time, however, vampirism blessed him with supernatural abilities that surpassed his magical capabilities. Yet, the cost of his new life—better than normal even—challenged August's morals. To survive, he now needed to consume blood. His father, though a good man at heart, drank from humans. He explained to August that drinking human blood kept their kind at their peak and fully satiated, whereas drinking from animals was merely a way to avoid the "human question." It left a vampire unsatisfied and with a minor power disadvantage. But August could never take a life; after all, he was only eleven. So, he decided to keep his thirst quenched with big game blood—his favorite being stag.
  
  Eva continued her mystic training with Isabel, while August spent more time with Matteo. Having his father around to help him understand his new nature was crucial to maintaining peace in their humble abode in the southwest of Italy. However, this peaceful life would last less than a year. The Council, through various sources and loyalists, discovered that August was far from a "normal" vampire and certainly not a Skaal. He posed a significant threat to the Council, but even more alarming to them was his mother, Isabel. Despite the looming danger, Isabel and August continued to share a close bond. They would often roam the countryside, stroll through town, and entertain other trusted noble families using their supernatural abilities. Their days were filled with games and joyful moments, much like before August’s life-or-death ordeal. Their relationship remained just as strong, as August had always been more like his mother, which fostered a deep bond between them. People often remarked that August resembled his father but had his mother's heart, while Eva was said to be the opposite.
  
  The peaceful times came to a violent end when the Chappelle manor was suddenly attacked. After the Council summoned Matteo, an armada of vampires and werewolves—comprised of Vishanti, Skaal vampires, and their enslaved wolves—descended upon the estate. August and Eva were enjoying their youth in Naples, leaving Isabel home alone with only a few guards—Ashagi and mortal—to protect her and their home. August’s deep emotional and spiritual connection to his mother alerted him to the danger she was in. Without hesitation, he sped back to their estate. In less than an hour, he arrived, but it was already too late. Isabel had been brutally murdered, her lifeless body hung on a cross, crucified in front of the burning ruins of their home. The sight of his mother’s gruesome death shattered August. Overwhelmed by sorrow, he collapsed, grief-stricken and broken. If he were mortal, tears would have flowed, but as an immortal being, there was only an unbearable emptiness.
  
  Driven by rage and despair, it didn’t take long for August to track down the Vishanti and Werewolves responsible for the attack. As August approached the encampment of Vishanti and werewolves, grief and rage ignited something within him—a power he had never known. His body burned with energy, and, without warning, his latent Solar Caeleste ability activated. A brilliant golden light erupted from his palm, and with a mere gesture, beams of solar energy shot from his hands, incinerating the werewolves' skin. Fueled by anger, August summoned more of the light, enveloping the battlefield in a radiant dome. The werewolves and vampires writhed in agony, unable to withstand the pure celestial heat. August’s power was overwhelming, disintegrating his enemies with ease. In that moment, he realized the true nature of Solar Caeleste—it was not just a defensive force, but a weapon of destruction. After exhausting himself from his abilities, he lost consciousness.
  
  Months after his mother's murder, August was still angry and seeking revenge for the one who issued his mother's murder. The Vishanti Council came before August with a proposition—behind Matteo's back—August would join the Council's ranks, and in return they would find Isabel's killer. Of course, it was the Council who had put out the kill order, Kaecilius—the Head of the Council—in particular. Matteo was now one of three heads of the highest order within the Council, so August figured they were working closely together too. Eva was offered hospitality by the Council, which was another bait trick by the Council to lure August in. And Eva was too distraught by the situation to deny the Council's offer, so August accepted with no hesitation.
  
  Years would pass before the Council finally came out and blamed Isabel's murder on Matteo. Kaecilius, who was very fond of August, wanted to make him a "son" of his own. So he needed to drive a wedge between Matteo and August. August, convinced by Kaecilius and the Council's findings, immediately abandoned any familial tie to his father. To him, Matteo was the bane of his existence. And now that August despised his father, Kaecilius sought the opportunity to claim August as his son.
  
  For centuries, August carried out Kaecilius' personal orders and demands, whether it be to slaughter a village of people or hunt rogue supernatural entities; August was an unstoppable murder machine. He even gave in to drinking from Humans, and he drank for the fun of it. August was no longer a man of integrity and instead gave in to his primal side out of anger. Eva eventually left the Council, something she had been trying to do for a long time too. As the new de la Croix heiress, Eva gathered enough power to ward off any threat and escape from the Ashagi, Vishanti and, now, Ekons.

  August's journey through darkness and redemption is deeply intertwined with the machinations of the Vishanti Council and his own internal struggles. Initially a fervent agent of the Council, August dutifully executed their commands, becoming a shadow of his former self—a drone bee in the hive of their bureaucracy. Under the influence of Kaecilius, whose charm and charisma masked a ruthless ambition, August found himself drawn deeper into the Council's web, losing sight of his moral compass. Kaecilius, a master manipulator, often played on August's desire for power and acceptance, pushing him to undertake increasingly sinister tasks that left a permanent mark on his soul.
  
  It was during the chaos of the French Revolution that Eva, August's long-lost sister, resurfaced in his life. Her confrontation came like a sudden storm, tearing through the fog of obedience that had clouded his judgment. Eva revealed the horrifying truth behind their sister Isabel's murder—an order directly from Kaecilius and the Council, justified by their insatiable thirst for control and dominance. This revelation struck a chord deep within August, awakening the remnants of his humanity. Fueled by grief and anger, he vowed to make amends for his past actions by leading a rebellion against the Council's influence over humanity.
  
  The inception of the Resistance was not merely a reactionary movement; it became a rallying cry for those oppressed by the Council's machinations. August gathered like-minded individuals, both supernatural beings and mortals, who had suffered under the yoke of the Council's tyranny. He recognized that their fight was not solely for freedom from oppression but also for the right to reclaim their lives and identities. The Resistance quickly evolved from a small band of rebels into a formidable force, striking against the Council's puppets, including King Louis and other aristocrats who had been installed to ensure the Council's continued dominance.
  
  As the Industrial Revolution took hold, the Resistance flourished, utilizing the advancements in technology and communication to spread their message and coordinate their efforts. They traveled across continents, building alliances with those disillusioned by the oppressive regimes, rallying together to challenge the Council's authority. With August at the helm, the Resistance gained significant ground, and for a brief moment, it seemed that the Council's reign of terror might come to an end. However, just as victory appeared within reach, a devastating betrayal—possibly orchestrated by Kaecilius himself—saw the Resistance suffer catastrophic losses. The Council employed their vast resources and dark magic to crush the uprising, and August found himself watching as the dream of liberation turned to ash.
  
  The fallout from this defeat weighed heavily on August. He became increasingly disillusioned with the endless cycle of violence and loss. After World War II, a conflict that only deepened his weariness of battle, August withdrew from the Resistance. The constant fighting between supernatural and mortal life was too daunting for him, so much so that he finally decided to seek solitude. He sought solace in the quiet corners of the world, hoping to find peace in the shadows where he once thrived. During this time of solitude, he wrestled with the ghosts of his past—the lives he had taken, the trust he had betrayed, and the sister he had lost to the Council's machinations.
  
  In the depths of his introspection, August discovered a newfound purpose: to become a guardian of the balance between the supernatural and human realms. He committed himself to teaching others the importance of choice and the power of unity against tyranny.

  The sound of a heated exchange from the entrance of the church drew Sersi’s attention. Getting up from bended knee, she went over to see what the commotion was about only to find a man hissing all manner of curses and vitriol at another gentleman. The one practically foaming at the mouth with rage had the other by the lapels of their fine coat but the one held firmly showed no signs of discomfort or struggle. Sersi quickly hurried over and prised the enraged man’s hands from the other and stood between them.
  
  “WHAT is the meaning of this? Anyone is welcome to worship here– what reason have you to keep this man from entering?” Sersi stood with her back to the well-dressed man to address the bitter one.
  
  “Creatures like THAT should not be allowed to set foot on hallowed grounds!” He spat back and reached for something at his side. “Sympathizers be DAMNED with them!”
  
  “Don’t–” The gentleman behind Sersi could barely get the warning out before there was a loud BANG and a flash of blinding light.
  
  The man slinging curses turned on his heels, lips tight in a grim line, and took off. A rush of air blew past Sersi as she staggered back, expecting to run into the man standing behind her only to stumble and fall when no one was there. She looked down at her abdomen and stared at the quickly blooming pool of blood seeping through her dress. The pain was registered shortly after but the out-of-body experience she was going through made it hard to believe that she had been…been shot by something?
  
  Blood began to pool around her as the fringes of her sight darkened incrementally. Her breathing became labored; try as she did to stem the flow of blood, the act was entirely futile. Sersi’s eyes fluttered closed as her breathing slowed. Somehow she had managed to open them again when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her and draw her into a muscled form that felt like pure stone.
  
  “Goodness is in short supply in a world such as mine that I had almost forgotten what it felt like entirely. Perhaps you may be the catalyst that redirects our path of damnation. Forgive me…for now your soul may never find the paradise it was meant for.”
  
  Sersi couldn’t feel the two sharp fangs sinking into her neck, nor the draw of her blood into the mouth of the mysterious gentleman. In a last ditch effort to save her life, he had supped the sweet blood of a good-hearted woman and in exchange, gave her his venom. Once he was certain that the venom entered her system, his hands gently held either side of her face and with a sharp twist to one side, snapped her neck.

  Sersi Lanthirien was reborn in 1275 and lived among a well established Ashagi enclave nestled within the Carpathian Mountains. Her ‘family’, long revered as guardians of ancient vampiric knowledge, instilled in her the values of tradition and power and the many pitfalls of both as a means to prepare her for her unnaturally long life ahead. Sersi was captivated by the tales of their ancestors, particularly the legend of Gaius Julius Caesar Octavian, which filled her with both awe and dread. Her sire, a kindhearted aristocrat by the name of Dragos Lanthirien, was surprisingly open to the idea of taking on a newborn vampire under his wing and spent much of his time teaching her how to cope with the new reality of immortality.
  
  She was afraid at first…especially with the manifestation of her lineage’s affinity for shadows and darkness. The goodness she inherently had as a human was only magnified once she was turned– having shadows bend to her beck and will was a steep learning curve but the connection she shared with it was especially strong. Sersi took to the shadows like a vampire takes to blood: instinctive. Despite the aversion to her talent, Sersi embraced the new parts of her as she studied and practiced the Ashagi customs. She only fed on those who willingly gave their blood and never to full satiety that it would hurt the human donors. Dragos had established himself a benevolent, albeit isolated, soul so the humans that made up some of the estate’s staff were readily giving without coercion. It was Sersi’s strong sense of morality that kept her from devolving into the hungered frenzy that the Ashagi were known for– the burning need for blood lingering just beneath her flawless surface.
  
  Dragos had come to love Sersi like the daughter he never had. Far beyond the simple bond of sire and siree, they had embraced each other on a much deeper level. The enigmatic Dragos revealed much of his history with Sersi, some facts that even his oldest comrades were unaware of. The two brought their enclave a sense of deep familial ties and all were more or less content with the way the Lanthirien line operated. There was honor, respect, and mutual understanding in the small but mighty circle. This was what instilled within Sersi the optimistic view of an egalitarian future for vampires, humans, and supernaturals alike.

  Years of rigorous training to hone her natural affinity for shadows and darkness transformed Sersi from budding vampire newborn to someone who earned their own respect and notoriety. Beyond just the Lanthirien name, she had fully embraced her intense gifts and used it to further her family’s honor. Sersi had become adept at utilizing her natural charm and insightful empathy to help her Father defuse rising tensions among the vampire lines.
  
  Those who come into power are unlikely to settle for anything less than more power.
  
  Unfortunately, even after diligent study, training, and meditation, even Sersi could not fully restrain the Ashagi’s intense thirst and hunger which was heavily triggered by emotions. At a gathering of vampires to discuss the future of their lines and the governance that would ultimately shape the future, tensions grew a little too high. Much as he always did, Dragos stepped forward to mediate and ease the growing unrest but in doing so, put himself in the middle of the escalating situation. One of the Vishanti aggressively shoved an Ashagi and it seemed to be the spark that lit the flame. Fearful of her Father’s position, Sersi entered the fold and sought to help ease the outburst when suddenly she was assaulted with emotions from all sides: anger, fear, jealousy…as a Vishanti lunged at Sersi, her instincts took over and for the first time, she truly Awoke. Blackened eyes, elongated fangs, she seized her assailant by the throat and then everything went dark around the gathering.
  
  The snap of a neck was shortly followed by the sound of delicate bone crunching from the fringes of the circle of darkness that sapped the senses of everyone caught within its field– no one even screamed. Sersi fed on the sweet blood of the human retainers brought along with the vampires to the meeting until none remained. Once the darkness wore off and the haze of euphoria and pleasure from her feeding frenzy dissipated, Sersi gazed upon the scene before her with absolute clarity– it hit her like a bolt to the chest.
  
  Dragos collected his horrified, grief stricken daughter and retreated from the scene to be dealt with later. His sole and only concern was for his daughter and what they were going to do about the events that occurred. Sersi couldn’t be consoled and struggled deeply with accepting herself from that day forward.   In an act of self-induced penance, Sersi bid a temporary goodbye to her Father and fled deep into the Carpathian Mountains to isolate herself and to seek solace and further understanding of who and what she was. Hesitant to let her go but supportive of her cause, Dragos escorted her until she dismissed him and the two shared a warm embrace. He never blamed her for the decimation that occurred at the meeting but couldn’t sway her mind once it was already settled.
  
  For decades, she hid away in a deep cavern filled with ancient runes that called to her in her exploration and steeped herself in training. Honing her powers, forging connections with the shadows around her, and meditating deeply to reign in her terrifying hunger. The seclusion gave her great clarity and without another soul around, the hunger that gnawed away inside the vampiress was kept under control. Limiting her access to outside stimulus paved the way for internal discovery. All was progressing as planned and with renewed hope in herself, Sersi emerged from her solitude in a new world.
  
  The Vishanti council had been forged and their rule, once rooted in tradition and fairness, devolved far from their original cause and became an authoritarian regime that stifled dissent, eradicated rebels, and enslaved the free will of others with fear. Societal unrest sat like a heavy stone in Sersi’s stomach and fueled her reintegration into the new vampiric world. Politics had become more difficult than ever with players pulling the strings with an iron fist. She attempted to bridge the gap between the cruel Vishanti and the burgeoning Resistance as a mediator who was still steeped in the ways of old but tender enough to embrace the needs of the new generation. She firmly kept both feet planted in both worlds…when a planned attack orchestrated by Kaecilius and enacted by his enforcers decimated her family. Seeing the Ashagi as a threat to his standing, the Lanthirien’s and their allied houses fell to the evil machinations of the Arbiter of Blood.
  
  Sersi desperately sought any signs of Dragos littered amongst the long dead, decomposed bodies of her former family but found nothing aside from a set of rings he usually wore: a signet, a simple band, and one bearing the Lanthirien crest. She took this as a sign that he was still alive just…lost somewhere beyond her ability to find him. The daughter of Dragos Lanthirien took the time to bury all the dead and prayed at each grave with the promise that she would bring an end to Kaecilius and his tyranny, unite the fractured society of vampires, and bring peace to the supernatural world.

  Possessing the ancient vampiric knowledge for which the Lanthirien were once revered, she bears the weight of her lineage as the last known Keeper, using it to illuminate the path toward a brighter future. In the ultimate act of defiance against Kaecilius, the last remaining Lanthirien embarks on a quest to find and nurture the next Arbiter, embodying hope and resilience in a world teetering on the brink.

PERSONALITY

Complex as she is, Milly is often described in a few descriptive words. Rude, weird, odd, sometimes bitch by her more sensitive cohorts. Still, Milly remains resolved on who she is, even if that is lost to herself in some ways.

On the outsite Milly is uninterested, nose always in a book, mouth always talking about her next achievement or next spell. She has no time for anyone else unless they have what she needs, and does not care to apologize to those offended by it. She’s blunt and honest, and sarcastic to a fault. She can change the subject in a flash, and would much rather talk to you about a random song for hours until you go away. To many, she is simply not worth the effort to make friends with.

On the inside, Milly is a heap of anxiety. Her past haunts her every waking moment. Fear that she might lose someone or be betrayed again keeps her away from those who want to know her. Fear that she may end up just like her former mentor keeps her locked up in her room and away from certain magics. She’s all too self-aware, knows that her paranoia is excessive, she spends her nights convincing herself of this, that many have it worse than she does. Yet still, she cannot escape the bubble she’s trapped herself in.

She would never admit if she was close to someone, the realization might make her run and hide. Instead they are important to her research, important to her goals. Her loyalty and friendship shows in her actions and excuses, and despite the nonchalant manner she puts on, she truly does care about the well-being of other people. She might turn her nose up at a desperate request, complain and say she’s too busy, but she always ends up helping. And when push comes to shove, she can be won over by many with a gift or two.

That being said, her interest has always lied solely with the supernatural. Humans have never been something she bothered with. The mortal world and the people within it are the last place she would go to for help. For what value do they have compared to someone with super strength?

Relationships:

Wanda Elohart - Milly’s first and last mentor, the one person she felt truly understood her. Her idolization of her left her blind, and the day she was betrayed by her has marked her soul ever since. Milly refuses to think of her name, to speak of it. So instead she haunts her in every other way possible.

Anan Celick - Milly’s best friend, she was her touch of normalcy in her always-running brain. When she ran herself into the ground, Anan was always there to pick her up. The loss of her included the loss of all of Milly’s self-preservation. She does not need friends, not anymore.

June Byrtha - Milly’s mother, though they were close when Milly was younger, they slowly grew about as her focused changed. After Milly’s betrayal, her communication with June ceased, she hasn’t properly spoken to her mother in 20 years.

BIOGRAPHY

Milly was born with infinite potential, as told by everyone around her. She was gifted with intelligence, and was a natural with magic. Her future was set out for her the moment she showed potential, and she wasn’t complaining.

Milly adored magic, adored all of the good that could come with it, and could see it’s untapped potential. She wanted to know more, learn more, discover more. The moment she was able, Milly enrolled into the school of Divination and discovered a world she dreamed of. She made friends, acted in her passion, and found a mentor in one Wanda Elohart, whose origins were a mystery to everyone who knew her.

Milly grew close to Wanda very quickly, the woman understood her passion and saw her potential clearer than anyone else. She, too, wanted to search the boundaries of magic, and so with the help of Milly, she did.

Time passed, and people began to go missing. It started with humans, people Milly never bothered to care about, and then turned to her fellow classmates. Panic arose, and when Milly’s dear friend Annan went missing as well, she put her investigative skills to the test.

It didn’t take long for Milly to discover the culprit, as it was the very person she was closest to. Her mentor had began to dabble into dark magic in attempt to push the boundaries. Unwilling to take the drawbacks of her own spells, she used her own company instead. Lost in her own emotions, Milly ended up killing Wanda, a scar that’s remained on her heart ever since.

She didn’t regret killing her, but her memory of that day stained her from that moment onwards. She became a shell of herself, walls up too high for anyone to look over. No more friends, no more mentors, no more family, just herself, Milly, all alone.

Her passion still nailed deep, Milly continued her research, staying far away from dark magic and the like and using her own methods. She joined a minor coven for the resources and connections, and now spends her days with her noses in books and practicing her magic. Her goals are knowledge, and nothing more. What moves her now is the council, her need to be free of their rules and restrictions. Once she’s stripped witches of their chains, maybe her hunger for magic can come to an end.

  Hugo is one of the council's most prominent members, although his actions remain in the shadows, under the suspicion that Lucius was working for the resistance, Hugo visited Lilith, a human who found herself in a relationship with Lucius and killed her to drive Lucius out of the shadows and to see if his actions would make him attack the council, to his surprise, Lucius kept his cool and avoided conflict, while this was perceived as true allegiance to the council, Hugo still couldn't shake the feeling that his adversary was still a double agent. Lucky for him, Lucius never discovered he was responsible for Lilith's death.

Personality: A callous, cautious, and crude woman who defies who very own laws she was forced to obey. Being an underling to the council does not mean she is weak. She has a heavy temperament, going by stubbornness and defiance. She finds men in general utterly annoying for their common lustful manners. But of course, those who don't act that way catch her eyes. Of course, she has a blood preference based off the target's appearance. If they seem unattractive, their blood tends to be sour to her. Background:
Astra had always known her mother had been fascinated by mystical creatures, and it wasn't until she was 5 that she learned what vampires were. That she was a vampire. Her mother took the name of Heather Kanto, giving Astra glasses of what looked like cranberry juice since birth. Her mother had always been out, supposedly 'working'. Of course through the ages of 1-4, Astra wouldn't question Heather. But at 5, she had enough curiosity. It became too much that Heather accidentally let word slip out; vampires, and how she had eloped with one. That gave Astra the conclusion of being one too.
After that, her mother gradually told history and stories, and how it was dangerous to find out her daughter was a vampire, Astra's father being Mejin Kanto. Astra always wondered who was her father. Anyways, after learning more abut herself, she was soon allowed to get her own blood from animals and...rarely ever humans when she came of age. But it soon wasn't enough to sustain her hunger. At one mild evening, she ravished her own mother's blood, enjoying the sweetness because Heather's figure just had to be awfully beautiful too. At least, that's how it tasted in her eyes.
She felt a teensy bit of regret, but let it to sail alone on the thin tight rope it balanced on. She shouldn't be fantasizing about things that happened, more like what will happen in the future. And it wasn't until something- a council figured her existence and tried to 'persuade' her to join forces. Of course, that wasn't going to happen. She chooses her own path, and this is the path she chose.
Relationships:
Heather Kanto: Astra was always grateful for her mother raising her, but always slightly angry that she hid such secrets. Her mother was working as a "single mother", always gaining pity by those who view deeper into her history. Villagers always figured she, Astra. wasn't taking cared of properly due to being born to an unmarried mother. Unfortunately, despite their close-call relationship, Astra couldn't hold back and was the one to bring her mother's demise close.
Mejin Kanto: Astra doesn't too much about him, but does know he knows she killed her mother. He might be proud for getting such cruel daughter, or devastated to know his true love was killed by the creation he made. But all knows he's still alive.

She always thought of werewolves as a secret to unlocking more power and perhaps toppling the regime that ruled both species. Sadly, she ended up consumed by her magic as a result of massive grief after Trenton's death. Levron misses his mother dearly and has never truly recovered from her passing.
  
  Matthew Westley: His father was a beta werewolf who Levron deeply admired. He wanted to do anything possible to make his father proud but always came up short. The death of Trenton did more to strain their relationship, especially when it caused Emily to pass. The two of them still don't see eye to eye.
  
  Trenton Westley: When he was alive, the two of them couldn't be separated. They loved doing almost everything together. Because they were both hybrids they often had to rely on each other for companionship. When Trenton was killed by a hunter, Levron developed a nasty case of survivor's guilt.   Levron had a pretty simple childhood. After he and his twin brother, Trenton, were born they were spoiled by their mother. She was ecstatic to have two twin boys. Levron was the younger twin by only a few minutes and it showed. Trenton was the person who always stood up for him whenever he was bullied by others. As the two grew up, they spent time being homeschooled by their mother. This way while also learning "normal" subjects they were also taught about the inner-workings of the supernatural world and a little bit of magic.
  
  Adolescence:
  As the twins grew older, they both showed promising magical ability to follow their mother's path in evocation magic. Trenton was always just a couple of steps ahead of Levron but did his best to not leave his brother behind. Life was going relatively okay, until a fateful encounter in the woods. A hunter had been on their trail for a while during the full moon and the two of them were fleeing, but also trying to not lead the hunter to their home. Levron, the smaller of the two werewolves fell behind, tripping on the root. Trenton halted for a moment to help his brother up, the instinct kicking in to protect his little brother. Once he helped Levron up, the hunter shot two silver bullets into his brother's silvery-gray fur. He wasn't strong enough to get his brother off the ground and the hunter was closing in on both of them. So Trenton gave him a look that said "Run". So he did. The grief didn't fully catch up to him until he got home after dawn.
  
  Now:
  Another death in his family caused Levron to abandon his father. Now a lone wolf (no pun intended) he tries his best to find his place in the world. He ironically developed an odd sense of loyalty to the Vishanti council, viewing their control as protection. He plays the role of a double agent and infiltrates where he can to report rebellion movements to squash them. It suits him well as nobody suspects an outcast of his kind to show anything akin to respect to vampires.

  Lucas was born into a family with a long history of hunting supernatural creatures. The Hearne family was to be respected as there was so much legacy to uphold. The family mainly resides in England, but branches out all over the world. Instead of having sports or a fun after-school club, Lucas’ extracurricular was training to kill. He was forced to breathe hunting as if it was just another reflex. In some ways, it paid off very well. He spent most of his childhood excited to make the world a better and safer place.
  
  However, it didn’t take long for his perspective to change. He remembers just turning twelve, standing over a werewolf's body, with horror written all over his face. His father and brother whooped and hollered behind him. A forced smile came to the young boy's face, however it wasn’t genuine. This werewolf hadn’t been much older than him. They went to the same school. Most importantly, they weren’t doing any harm to anyone. Yet they still killed them. He was supposed to be proud and excited like his father right? He swallowed down the guilt and tried to remember what legacy their family held.
  
  Things changed further as he turned seventeen. Lucas was overjoyed to find his first love. They had mutual friends and met at a small party neither of them wanted to be at. Instead, the two of them walked and talked for hours. They had so much in common so it didn’t take long for them to fall in love. As they approached their first anniversary, his father called him down from his room into the backyard. Instant heartbreak as he saw his girlfriend and her family all tied up and being held hostage. He instantly ran to try and free them, but they were beyond that. His girlfriend had been a young witch, along with her family. Sure, Lucas had seen the signs, but they weren't doing any harm, so he chose to overlook them. That night he watched his brother kill her entire family. The real blow of this? His father refused to end any of their pain until Lucas killed his first love. At night, he can still hear her telling him that it was okay and not his fault, but everything was. He’d humiliated their family and if he did it again? Well, he was next.
  
  From there on out, he vowed to never hurt anyone who wasn’t hurting anyone with malicious intent. He found ways to forge his bounty numbers all while not getting too close. He travelled the world teaching various subjects either at high school or post-secondary level. Currently, Lucas works alongside the Resistance to gather information. He knew so many innocent people would get hurt if the Council took over. He represents his family and the hunters who stand among them, hopefully, with similar ideals.
