For WinterSoul and EstherJymie's RP

Blakely felt one raindrop hit him before it started pouring. He put his arm over his head trying to keep his hair from getting wet as he pulled his hood on. It was dark, the only lights being that of small shops next to some apartment buildings in Brooklyn. Blakely hated the dark. It made him feel suffocated and closed in. It's common knowledge that most people don't go out durning the night, but he wanted to be out and about every part of the day and night. He hated the feeling of being in his apartment, locked up, and closed out from the world. Maybe that's how he ended up here.

There wasn't many people in the small pub. Just several different burly, motorcycle gang, looking men, and a girl sat in the corner. Blakely was curious as to why the girl was there, but chose to ignore it and approached the counter. "Just a beer, please." He told the man, who nodded and made his way to get the drink. Blakely looked back at the girl, it seemed odd for a girl who looked about his age to be out right now. Much less at this pub. "Here you go, sir." The bartender handed him his beer. Blakely turned and payed him,"Thank you." He turned back around leaning against the counter, pressing the alcohol against his lips, there seemed to be something off about the girl she seemed...odd. "Pretty thing, ain't she?" The bartenders voice startled him, but he nodded,"Yea." He shook his head and turned back around sitting in the swiveling bar chair and striking up conversation with the bartender.

(sorry I'm on so late! I was photo-editing for a project I have a deadline for. P.S. I'm not sure if the girl is supposed to be Eva, so I'm just gonna assume it is for now.)

The night was young. At least to Evangeline, as long as it was still in the PM hours, it was early. She had spent the first part of her evening at a charity event for the Brooklyn Academy of Music as her company's and cousin's representative. Being stuck in prolonged meetings in Italy with textile dye distributors meant he needed Eva to go for him. it was a formal cocktail party followed by small concert event, so she was dressed in a red, chiffon cocktail dress and strappy heals. She was having a good time, schmoozing and talking business, but her patience for quiet company seemed to run out for the night. Slipping out after the concert began, she made her way through the streets of Brooklyn until she found the small pub. Dimly lit, smelled like cigarettes, and borderline creepy vibe? Yup, her kind of place.

Slinking her way up to the bar, she smiled at the bartender and ordered a beer. She didn't look like the kind of girl that drank anything other than expensive wines and chardonnays, but she tended to have extensive tastes that might surprise. After exchanging a few flirtatious lines with the bartender, she picked up her drink and sat herself in the corner, passing the rambunctious biker gang as she went. For now, Evangeline contended herself with her beer and crowd-watching as other patrons clustered in loud groups, drank too much or too little, and came and went. Noting Blakely's entrance briefly before a rowdier guy across the room laughed at a friend's bad joke drew her gaze, she scanned him from top to bottom and smirked to herself. He's cute, she thought.

She hadn't noticed Blakely looking at her soon after that, but having reached the bottom of her glass, Eva stood and made her way back to the bar for another, slipping up next to him. If he looked her way, she would give him a slightly flirtatious smile as she waited for the bartender to finish with someone else. "Evening, stranger."
