For Dad

DJ Elfin

Killed by the inernet
A boy, let's call him boy A for now, starts going out with another guy, specifically to annoy his father who doesn't want him doing anything of the sort. Over time, boy A starts developing actual feelings for boy B and tries to keep the relationship going. Boy B, however, still thinks this is only to irritate boy A's father...

Ezra walked through the halls of the school, early that morning, stewing over what his dad had said to him last night. "I can do what I want, Dad…" he grumbled as the first bell rang. He had school band practice first period, so he walked over to the band room with his hands jammed in his pockets.

Corey Tenner was a geek. A nerd. A know-it-all on his way to Harvard. He was a genius. For the second year in a row he was at the top of his class! It a gift, he decided, and he needed to share his knowledge with the world. Some people might consider him cocky or a little arrogant shit, but having confidence about what he was good at was something to celebrate, not demean. Besides, there was no reason to care what anyone else thought. Confidence was key, and he had it.

Going to school was a joy. He had friends on the chess team with him and a couple from math leagues, but most of his friends had all different aspirations and ideas of fun. He didn't have a lot of classes with his them since he only took AP and music appreciation. It was kind of nice, since he wasn't distracted during class, and he always had time to hang out with them during study halls and lunch in the courtyard.

When Corey came out to his friends going into freshman year, almost a year and a half ago, everyone was fine with it. Actually, one of his girl friends actually came out as being bisexual. It was good all around, honestly. It was a positive experience. It also helped that his parents were so okay with it. Corey always knew that his parents weren't judgmental, and he didn't think they would care because they weren't religious, but it was nice to have that positive affirmation.

Since everyone knew he was gay, there weren't as many people hitting on him as there used to be. Not that there were a lot, but still. It went down. He didn't want the attention anyway. He needed to focus on school work.

Like now. He walked in AP American Lit and sat down in the back like normal, unloaded his backpack onto his desk, and readied himself for class.
