Kestin Evergreene-Omega-Astra

Kestin sighed softly and looked at the other hatchlings. "Well, whatever time is it, it's time for them to wake up," he said, walking over and nudging Ash and Shadowflower with his snout. "Get up, come on," he said before turning his attention on the door when he heard it open. He looked at Al, offering a smile, "good morning, Al." The young hatchling nodded a hello before smiling and laying down. "Can you help wake the others? Ash isn't much help this morning," Kestin said with a light laugh, looking toward the other omega with amusement.

Slade Kresney-Alpha Male-Draven

Slade walked down the hall, glancing into the rooms as he passed. He came to a halt when he heard voices, his gaze looking at the sound as he growled softly. He knew one of those voices. A hatchling. That other voice sure as hell better be the omega. He strode down the hall, his black eyes looking at Lucas and Levi. He looked around, scoffing when he didn't see Tawny. Good. He's been wanting to yell at someone lately...

Slade watched the young hatchling run off before he approached Lucas, looking down at the smaller dragon. "Quit pestering the young one, Lucas. Get some rest, you need it after the long night," the alpha said, letting a cloud of shadows cover him and he faded from Lucas's view. Appearing beside Levi, the alpha looked down at the boy with a dark chuckle. "You will learn to control your speed better with time, boy. For now, remain at your omega's side. Come," Slade ordered, turning and walking down the hall. "Where did you last see Tawny?"

The Alpha was usually carefree with the hatchlings, they don't know better after all. Of course, his son should know better. The only reason he is hard on Tritt is because the boy is going to be the future alpha. He needed to start him on training now rather than later.

Tritt Kresney-Hatchling-Draven

Tritt laughed and held down the omega, amusement sparkling in his eyes. He climbed off of her, stepping back as his tail swished back and forth. He tilted his head as he listened to his friend's words, frowning slightly. "Oh...Then we need to find him, Tawny. You know my father does his rounds at this time," the boy said, pulling Tawny to a stand. He looked around, beginning to walk quickly down the hall. "You know how excited Levi can be with his powers... Look, I'll talk to him about it, okay?" Tritt asked, looking at his friend with a small smile. "It's going to be okay...we'll find him."

Al raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure, bachay?" He asked. "They seem to be having pleasant dreams. The first thing they will have to see when they wake up is my decrepit face." A mischievous grin crept on his face. "Never mind, I will help." He looked around the room. A few hatchlings had already woken up. Waking up the rest individually would take much more time than he'd like, and Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi was a man who liked making efficient use of his time. Otherwise, how would he bother as many people as he could? "If you are awake, I suggest you cover your ears, bacho." He called, as a nefarious plot hatched in his head. Al inhaled enough air to stretch a small balloon, his chest visibly expanding. Passing two fingers in his mouth, he let out a loud whistle that resounded throughout the room. Al liked doing good deeds. Especially in ways that would get a good laugh out of him. He stopped only after the last hatchling's eye snapped open, coughing and laughing at the fruit of his short labor.

  • Raubahn
Raubahn finished his fruit and tossed the core of the fruit out of the window of the room. As he did, Al headed for the door and Raubahn nodded to the older dragon with a smile. He like the old timer. He was very learned and there was a great deal of wisdom behind his weathered smile. He would be a great asset to the clan, if he decided to stay with them of course.
Raubahn found himself thinking the same thoughts about Rash as well. Ever since he had first met him, he was truely impressed with his raw strength. He had also been impressed because he didn't meet alot of earth dragons in the clan, other than himself and his mother.
As Al left, Raubahn turned back to Artemis and smiled to her.
"We've got some stuff to discuss whenever your ready Artemis. I better get back to work, just let me know whenever you're ready."
Raubahn lifted himself from the table and nodded to both Artemis and Rash before turning back towards the entrance and head out.
He wasn't heading back to the forge yet though. Artemis knew better than anyone that Raubahn did not consider his forging "work". What he did consider work, was being Beta for the clan. So Instead of heading for the forge, he instead headed for a large room within the castle that was close to the Artemis' chambers. It was the war room, the place where tactics were discussed and plans were drawn up during times of expanse, or war. Its large wooden doors opened up to an even larger room lined with bookcases filled with old tomes. In the very center of the room sat a large map of the castle and the surrounding lands. Raubahn closed the door to the room and leaned over the table, if Artemis was ready to talk about the plans for the upcoming storm, this is where she would find him. If not, he would head back to the forge.

Nodding as Al left, giving the older man a smile, Artemis was glad for the words of the Omega. Despite him not knowing about her murder of her own child, he'd meant well, and his words had cheered her up a little. She also nodded to Raubahn, easily understanding what her Beta meant. They had plans to make, to ensure that everyone would be safe from her when the storm hit. The plan was usually the same really, and she hoped the Beta wouldn't argue the use of the chains. With the power she could already feel from the storm, and the soft urge she could already feel to go to it, she knew they'd be needed.

She'd go join him once she was finished speaking to the newcomer, Rashgarroth, since doing otherwise would be rude of her, especially since she was the Alpha and they'd never had the chance to meet before.

Astaroth 'Ash' Smallclaw - Omega - Astra Pack - Dragon Form
Seeming to ignore the movement of everyone else now that she'd shuffled into her own corner, Ash wasn't really asleep. More like upset, because she couldn't really interact with most of the others without making them uncomfortable at her chill. Of course, Al's whistle certainly made her wake up, and she quickly startled to her tiny paws, delicate wings fluttering. She was far smaller than most dragons her age, around half the size in fact. Realising that she was up late, and that Al was cackling and so was likely the one whom had whistled, she whined. Heading slowly for Kestin, she nuzzled quietly against his side in apology.

Leviathan 'Levi' Lunala - Hatchling - Draven Pack - Dragon Form
Having ran straight into another wall, the hatchling didn't at all notice the Alpha until he turned around, dizzy. Startling when Slade suddenly appeared at his side in a cloud of shadows, the hatchling stared at him for a moment in awe, and in fear, terrified he was going to get told off. When it seemed he wasn't, he hurried to follow. Though, he was careful not to activate his powers as he trotted alongside Slade's bigger form, determined to not be left behind, but also to not run into another wall.

"Um... In the Hatchling Room?" He returned, almost shy, "She wasn't looking, so I kinda...slipped out. I wanted to practice running! So I can be a warrior!" He chirped enthusiastically to his Alpha, hoping the bigger dragon would be pleased that the hatchling wanted to learn instead of just playing around as other hatchlings did. He knew Slade wanted Tritt to train and be the best, so it couldn't hurt for Levi to also try and impress the Alpha, could it?

Tawny - Omega - Draven Pack - Human Form
Relieved that Tritt seemed to understand her worry, Tawny nodded. If she didn't find Levi before the Alpha found either him or her, she was going to get punished. Probably badly, if he wasn't in a good mood. She started to walk again, following Tritt, "I know he likes to run, and I know I can't keep up but... I wish he'd just practice in our room! Or... or wait for permission to run around somewhere else, instead of sneaking out! I... I don't want to be punished Tritt, but he doesn't care about it..." She mumbled softly, "And I don't want him to get into trouble either."

One long coughing fit later, the elderly Omega gazed over his work, a proud look about him as he heaved for precious air. "You can steal the idea if you want. 'Save you half an hour of shaking bodies back to life." The Omega coughed once more. ''My lungs aren't as powerful as they used to be in human form. I used to do a lot of competitive yodeling with the wyverns far up north." He chuckled in between heaves. "Now-a-days I can barely laugh without collapsing one of my lungs each time. That would be one hell of a way to die, wouldn't you say, bachay?" He laughed again, earning a few more coughs and hacks in the process. A moment later, the elderly Omega had composed himself. It was then he realized he had made quite the scene for himself. Only a few minutes ago, he looked like an elderly man on the cusp of a heart attack. Al hadn't felt self-conscious in years, but that didn't mean he liked making a fool of himself. Thankfully, his rumbling stomach afforded him respite. "I'm starving. Who wants to join an old flame at the mess hall?"

Nyx - Hatchling - Astra

Nyx jolted awake, hearing the loud whistle from Al. She shook her head slightly to get rid of the fogginess in her mind before sending out another wave of heat. Noticing a fellow hatchling beside her, the white dragon smiled. "Good morning, Shadowflower." She greeted happily. Lowering her own body heat, the little Wyvern lifted her small body, once again sending out a small wave to see the others. She heard Al speaking, and chirped up. "I would like to join you!" Turning her head to look at her friend, she spoke once more. "Are you hungry, Shadowflower?"

"I haven't been up long, but I am always eager for the morning." She appreciated his lowering himself to her level in courtesy. Her eyes scanned over the mechanical limbs that were visible to her, and noticed his shift in weight. His physical burdens were known to her, but his pain was not so easily mended as others. Light cryotherapy was the only thing she had seen give him some relief, and she was sure the breeze of dawn was offering him at least a little bit of comfort. "Your aches... how often have you been feeling them lately?"

Kestin grinned watching Al with amused eyes, covering his ears as the other shifter began the high pitched whistle. He smiled watching the hatchlings wake, "that may be so but they mustn't let the sun rise without them," the young dragon said with a bright smile, looking over at Al. He nodded hearing his words, "I don't have the lungs for that, friend. But thanks," he said with a smile. Looking at the hatchlings, Kestin nodded, "sure. I'm positive the hatchlings are as hungry as I am. We'll meet you down there," the omega said, looking at the other male. He was suddenly greeted by the cool chill from Ash, his blue gaze looking down at her.

"Good morning Ash," Kestin said, smiling to her. The chill didn't bother him one bit, he was a snow dragon-shifter, the cool air was always welcoming to him.

Slade Kresney- Alpha Male- Draven

The alpha listened to the hatchling speak, his dark eyes glancing down at Levi as he struggled to keep up with his long strides. The dragon came to a stop, lying down as he looked at Levi. "You're not ready, young one. You need to control your speed, learn to use it to the best of your ability. With enough practice, when you turn the proper age, I will make you a warrior. Until then, stay a hatchling. Growing up isn't all it's hyped up to be, Levi," the alpha said, nudging Levi onto his back. Once the young hatchling was on his back, the alpha stood and walked down the hall in search for Tawny.

Slade came to a halt at the end of the hallway, a growl passing his lips as he saw his son and Tawny. The dragon kneeled down and helped the hatchling off his back before nudging him toward the hatchling room. "Go play, Levi. In the hatchling room," the alpha said, turning his gaze on the two younger dragons. "Tritt!" the alpha approached, his narrowed eyes looking at his son. "Tritt. To your room. Now."

Watching his son run off, the alpha turned his gaze on Tawny. "You and I need to talk," the alpha growled, baring his teeth at the omega.

The hatchling walked beside his best friend, glancing at her. "I know, Tawny. Its going to be okay, we'll find him. I'll talk to him about it, about how he needs to think of how his running off affects you. The last thing I want is for any of us getting in trouble," Tritt said, glancing at his best friend. Tritt sighed and glanced down, watching his feet as he walked. "My father won't punish Levi. He likes the other hatchlings," the boy said softly. Honestly, Tritt felt like his father loved the other hatchlings more than him. They had more freedom, they could have fun, they could get away with anything. If Tritt does one thing wrong, its the end of the world.

Tritt came to a stop when he saw his father, his blood running cold as the alpha approached. "Dad, i-its not what it looks like. I-I was just helping her look for Levi, I swear," Tritt said, taking a step back as Slade stopped in front of them. He flinched at his father's tone, a whimper passing his lips as he tucked his tail between his legs. "B-but... Tawny didn't do anything wrong, Father. Please don't punish her. She was doing her job, she wa-" Tritt went silent at his father's cold stare, his eyes glancing down. "Yes sir..." he whimpered and glanced at Tawny. "It'll be okay...." he said reassuringly, nuzzling her side before he scurried off.

Nuzzling against Kestin's leg, at her short height in her dragon form, Ash whined up at him. After a long moment, she shifted, glancing around at the other hatchlings once she'd done so, "G-Good morning Kestin." She mumbled in return, smiling at him in a shy manner. Peering at Al, she agreed with Kestin, that they'd follow him down there. After all, Ash had been lurking around when she should have gotten up earlier, so she needed to help. Like she was supposed to. She couldn't just leave all the work with the hatchlings to Al or Kestin, and it made her feel bad that she'd tried to get a few extra minutes sleep. And that she'd felt hurt by the hatchlings being affected by her cold.

At least Kestin was okay with the cold, like her.

Laying down carefully, because bending his neck down to her height was giving him an ache, he peered at her from there instead. He noticed that Kyragosa seemed to be analysing him, and already he'd given in to the fact that he could hide nothing from her. Certainly not the way he shifted most weight off his mechanical leg, or the way his wings quivered slightly as he tried to put them into a more comfortable position. She was way too observant to not notice. To be fair, he supposed it was probably fairly obvious, the signs, but most didn't notice that he was moving like that because he was hurting.

He bowed his head a little, huffing, "It's.... been worse lately. Especially this morning. I... I had a dream and... I think I may have kicked around a little and the memories didn't help, because they hurt more than usual." He returned, feeling he could trust her with this information. She wasn't about to go spreading his weakness all around the castle, or start rumours. He hoped she wouldn't anyway.

Artemis Lunala - Alpha - Astra Pack - Human Form

Artemis worried that telling him would make him leave. She was already surprised that her current pack wanted her as their Alpha, with all the destruction she could cause just to get to a storm. Though... Maybe they just knew her well enough to know she loved peace, she'd never hurt anyone unless it was strictly necessary. But her issue was no secret to the others, nor was the method in which she stopped herself. Well... Perhaps it was a little more watered down for everyone but her Beta, but they all knew she locked herself away.

"I'm the threat." She said bluntly, sighing as she rubbed at the bridge of her nose, "Storms mess with me, and I'll do anything to get to them. They force me to shift, and I will hurt or kill anything that gets between me and the storm. Which is why Raubhan helps me by locking me in the dungeons for the duration, to keep the pack safe. However... this does leave the pack weakened. I'm meant to protect them... But at that point I can't. Which is why I need you to work with Raubhan and the warriors to protect the pack whilst I'm.... otherwise occupied." She explained.

Leviathan 'Levi' Lunala - Hatchling - Draven Pack - Dragon Form

The child whined softly as the Alpha told him he wasn't ready. Despite the warning that he should enjoy his time as a hatchling, he just wanted to be big and strong. Like Slade was. And Slade always wanted Tritt to train, so why shouldn't Levi? Levi wanted to be strong, like Slade wanted Tritt to be. He didn't understand at all, but clambered up onto the Alpha's back obediently, his whines slipping away with a rumble of excitement at being on the Alpha's back.

His ride didn't last long though, because before long they'd found Tawny. Unaware of how much trouble he'd gotten her in, he smiled toothily at her and Tritt, before nodding to Slade and running off into the nearby hatchling room. Of course, it was in the same direction as Tritts room, so Levi slowed down so he could walk beside the other, "Tritt!" He chirped excitedly, "Want to fight with me?! We could pretend to be warriors!"

As soon as Tawny spotted Slade, she ducked her head with a fearful whine. Oh scales, he was going to be so mad at her! It warmed her as Tritt tried to defend her, tried to convince his father that she was only attempting to do her job. Which... She was. Though, she should have ensured that Levi couldn't even get out of the room. Swallowing, she was comforted by his nuzzling, but knew that Slade was glaring at her, as Tritt ran off. She was so, so dead.

Daring to peek up at his larger form, shivering in terror, the Omega shied back as she realised just how angry he looked, "Y-Yes Alpha." She hurried to answer, "I-I was just out looking for L-Levi, sir, T-Tritt was just helping me look." She added. She may have spoke out of turn, which may get her further punished, but she needed to defend Tritt also. She had a feeling she wasn't meant to be talking to him anymore.

It hadn't take Lucas long to find food. After all, the dried meats were kept pretty close the fresh stuff to be dried for convenience. He had only left the fresh larder a few hours prior to drop off his nights kills, so finding a large hunk of dried and roasted meat was a breeze.
Lucas had taken up somewhat strange hobby of just wandering around the castle when he had time to relax. It was relatively quite, though the hatchling area seemed lively. Lucas stayed away from there, he wasn't much for children. But the rest of the castle was exceptionally quite, and it didn't take long for Lucas to figure out why. A quick stroll out onto his favorite balcony, and a sniff of the air told him all he needed to know. A storm was coming, and a big one at that. He didn't mind storms, it was the rain that made him off put. Living in swamps as a young drake, the lands would be swallowed whole when it rained. Causing Lucas to sit in puddles for hours until it stopped. It was never a calming memory.
Once back inside, Lucas found himself in a familiar section of the castle that made him chuckle to himself. Tossing the last few scraps of meat into his mouth, Lucas dusted off his hand and then placed it on the wall as he walked. His hand shifted partially into long, ivory talons that immediately began to squeal against the stone surface as he walked towards a door set into the wall. His smile grew, knowing full well who was asleep on the other side of the wall.

The Beta groaned as a sharp, horrible squeal met his ears, and snarled as his wings moved to cover his head. Honestly, sometimes he wished his illusions could cancel out noise. But, like his illusions, the idea of peace and quiet was fake, and would always be broken by someone. Oh well. At least he'd gotten in a few extra minutes of sleep. Rumbling, he shuffled out of his nest, snarling at the voice on the other side. Lucas. The other must be bored, because he didn't particularly seem to be worried about anything.

Shifting as he got out of bed, he pulled on his clothes and stretched, taking his time just to annoy Lucas, before he opened the door, leaning against the frame as he frowned at the other. Did Lucas seriously just wake him up because he was bored?

"Lucas. I was planning to sleep a little while longer, yes. Not everyone wants to be up at the crack of dawn." He grumbled, "Was there something you needed? A claw trim perhaps?"

"Then let's not keep our stomachs waiting." Al joked, ambling away to where he assumed was the mess hall. In the full year since Al began living in the castle, he never found his way around the giant structure without getting lost at least once. Every time he did find the place he was looking for, it was by sheer force of happenstance. It was one of the reasons why he couldn't socialize with the other shifters, unless he was in the mood for a long walk that day, he would spend his time in his room, reading a book.

Stomach grumbling he kept walking, allowing the labyrinthine castle determine where he would end up. Knowing his own luck, the Elderly dragon would arrive at the mess hall by supper. Al chuckled at the thought of that. As he walked, his mind meandered to different places, stopping at Artemis. He saw a lot of his younger self in her. Her curse was not nearly as bad as his own, but there was an obvious hint of tragedy in her eyes. The worst had already happened to her, Al sensed. He did not want to pry. She would reveal everything in her own time, or push him away out of fear of either rejection or herself. Al hoped it was the former. "Ruined your own mood again, Al-Khwarizmi." He mused aloud. "When will you ever learn?"

She couldn't make the excuse that Levi had just ran off, that she wasn't ever fast enough to catch him. No excuse would go down well with her Alpha, and she kept her head bowed throughout his angry tirade. His cruel words were nothing she hadn't heard before, from both him and various others. She was the Omega of a rather horrible pack. Even Levi would snap and bite at her, and he was young. He'd learnt it by watching the others though, so she couldn't blame him.

Whining and shrinking back as he snapped in her face, she nodded quickly, "Y-Yes Alpha." She stumbled out as he stalked away, shivering on the spot. At least he hadn't physically harmed her, like she'd thought.

Leviathan 'Levi' Lunala - Hatchling - Draven Pack - Dragon Form
Nodding his small head, the little dragon squawked as Tritt tackled Levi to the floor, squirming under him and laughing in delight. He loved to play with Tritt, especially when they play-fought. He always hoped that it would impress the Alpha, that Levi wanted to fight with Tritt. The other may be 4 years Levi's senior, but they could still have fun and train at the same time. Even though Levi had been told by the Alpha that he should enjoy being a hatchling, he couldn't wait to be a warrior. Kicking up at Tritt with his back legs, Levi put as much force as he could into the kick.

Nyx ~ Hatchling ~ Astra

Nyx has stopped before reaching the stairs to shift into her human form, blinking her smaller eyes that were still a glassy, sky blue the now human girl made her way down the steps. In this form, she was capable of seeing clearly for a few feet, yet still, her vision was better as a dragon, even if she was extremely near-sighted. She half-jogged to join the group, staying quiet. She didn't enjoy speaking to anyone in her human form, for reasons even she could not explain. Nyx glanced back at Ash and Kestin shyly before turning her attention elsewhere, afraid that she may run into an unknown object.

Juniper ~ Hatchling ~ Astra

Juniper had shifted before they left for the mess hall, walking slightly off to the side of the group of hatchlings. She glanced at Nyx, then to the smaller hatchling, Shadowflower. The older hatchling sighed as she moved forward. She held her hands behind her back and remained quiet. Of course, she could be rather loud and energetic when around friends, but that came with one obstacle. She wasn't very good at making friends. At least, not since her mother had died.

  • Raubahn
As the large double doors of the war room opened Rauhban stirred from the chair he had been sitting in to see Artemis entering. Her departer from the kitchen had taken longer than he had anticipated, but it was more important to talk about the upcoming evening than his steel down in the forge.
He smiled lifting from the chiar, which groaned in relief from his removal, and he made his way to the side of the table oposite Artemis.
"Well, that took a bit of time. Hope Rash is going to be willing to stick around with us for a time. We could use some more muscle every now and then."
Raubahn was stalling a little bit. He knew the approaching subject would not be an easy on for Artemis. But the ever so soft, subtle rolling thunder coming from the mountains made Rauhban sigh and look at Artemis sympathetically.
"Ya know Artie, we might not have to do as many chains as we did last time? Those things are heavy and you could hurt yourself."

Artemis Lunala - Alpha - Astra Pack - Human Form
Nodding her head to her Beta, she smiled softly, "I wish I'd met him sooner. I only hope that the other warriors will work well with him." She returned, "Hopefully his muscle will not be needed however..." She added, frowning slightly as the thunder rolled. She didn't need the sound as a reminder that it was getting closer. She could feel the itch to fly out to it already, and she knew it wouldn't be too long until it took over, dragging her down and letting the beast free.

She raised an eyebrow at him as he spoke of less chains. She didn't mind his nickname for her, in fact she kinda liked it even if she would never admit it, but she did mind the chains. There needed to be enough to ensure she'd stay there. So she shook her head, "We need the chains Raubahn. All of them. This... This one feels worse than the last one." She muttered, "And I'll be in my dragon form anyway. You know I can deal with it. It's better I hurt myself than kill one of you." She added, giving him a look that begged for him to understand her. He did, after all, know about Levi. He was the only one she'd really told the truth to.

Styx Kagren - Beta - Draven Pack - Human Form
Styx gave the other a toothy grin. Oh, he knew the other couldn't fly. But he also knew how much a mention of that annoyed the other, and was using it for revenge for the other having woken him up so rudely. He watched the other, humming slightly, "Well, your mouth is very big. Probably could fit enough to feed the whole pack for weeks." He commented, still grinning toothily, "Hunting will be arranged after the storm, I'm sure. Though, I doubt Slade will be happy if you bite him."

He tilted his head slightly after a moment, "I'm sure the pack can survive on what we have. We aren't babies, and the hatchlings will be able to survive a short while if they don't have what they need. Honestly Lucas, it's not like the storm will last a week. A few hours and it will be gone."

  • Raubahn
Raubahn sighed. He knew it had been a lost cause of a suggestion from the start, but it was still one he wanted to make. Still, he hated having to chain up his own Alpha during these storms so the suggestion would always remain to her.
He returned her look with his own, and a slight smile to help alleviate the tension from the subject.
"Yeaaa, I figured that would be the case. We'll get you settled before the storm hits. Promise."
Raubahn crossed his tree trunk like arms over his chest and glanced out the window of the room. There was still time before the storm, though his own sense of how fast storms moved was a bit skewed.
"So, did you send anyone out for hunting or gathering before the storm hit? I can head down to the dungeon and get your room prep'd or I can start getting a party together?"
