Reason or meaning of name: When she was born, Emily’s mother hadn’t decided between the two names. She wanted both Emily and Claire to be her first name, and ended up combining the two instead of throwing one away.

Reason for nickname: None of these nicknames she truly cares for. They were all created by either a friend from high school or college, none are amazing, and she tries to avoid being called them when she can.
