Fixing posts is breaking them

Dugym

Before learning about the project to fix broken BBCode posts, I fixed some posts in my quest log thread, Craziest Vacation Updates. What I found is that the posts are broken all over again.

This should not happen. Can you fix it?

Thanks for making us aware; tags are unnecessary. This will be added to the list of known bugs and we will work on fixing it. In the meantime - are you able to fix these by editing them yourself? That will tell us if it's an issue with the content of the post, or if it's an issue with the way the content is displayed.

I have the same problem. What happened was anything we fixed manually before the system went through to change all the BBC (doing the whole click edit then immediately click save thing) has now transformed into actual html code. So instead of the jumble of BBCode we had before, it's now a jumble of html code.

Can I fix it manually? Yes, but it's actually even more difficult to fix than it was to fix the posts the first time around.

The HTML code can be edited out and I haven't had any issues thus far other than the fact that it literally takes up more time than I have to fix them.

Any images that were originally on the page seem to be completely lost though. There are no image urls hiding in the messes of code thay I have been able to find which frustrates me because all the staff emphasized that no content would be lost. That is lost content as far as I am concerned.
