The Age of the Gods

This was the time that become myth and legend to mankind, in the days when the Pantheons of Gods roamed the Earth. When mythical fauna and flora were just as common place as ordinary fauna and flora. When supernatural forces of all kinds flowed through the Earth. Those days when the Legendary Heroes had their grand adventures. The Earth in these days was connected to any realms and planes of existences. But slowly but surely they began to taper off their existence as mankind grew to reject the existence of all things supernatural. The Pantheons of Gods and most supernatural leaders mandated a sort of withdrawal from the Earth. Realms, dimensions, and other planes of existences closed themselves off from Earth. Supernatural forces drained out from Earth, leaving absolutely nothing. It was almost as if they knew Mankind when left to it's own devices would be its own undoing. Mankind by its own hand would never know the difference.

The Age of Man

Mankind developed science and what was considered more rational thought, they continued forward for several millennia. But eventually science began to create more problems then it could solve or rather mankind's hubris didn't allow their science to solve it proceeded ever more towards the end. The world was brought to the edge of destruction by the very hands of mankind through all their war and pollution destroying the very world they live on. Countless wars scarred the land, made entire species of animals extinct, and even their own cities came crashing down. The pollution by mankind's activities lead to the melting of the polar ice caps of the Earth's True North, decreased air quality, poisoned the water, and irradiated the very land they needed to grow food from. They even ran out of very energy sources they used to cause what quite literally was the death of planet Earth.

The Age of Heroes

The world and mankind were saved by 5 individuals, the 5 Emperors, who brought about this new age called the Age of Heroes. This is the current age of coexistence where some nations of old exist but so do many new nations. Some have different borders, different names, different borders as well as names, and some have even broken down into smaller nations or bonded into larger ones. Even then governments and such are still different. There are even tribal territories, principalities, etc. It's indeed a brave new world and has been for really an untold amount of told could be centuries, millennia, eons, and even more.
  • The Emperor of the Ley Lines revived the destroyed enviroment completely as if Mankind never touched it and flooded the world with Supernatural forces again. They also opened up the other supernatural realms and planes of existences to Earth, reviving these severed connections allowing supernatural beings to repopulate the Earth in coexistence with mankind.
  • The Emperor of Lightning created a new form of science and magic for mankind that would become known as Human Magic to non human supernaturals, this was Alchemy. He banned the old technologies from Age of Man forever dubbing it as Black Technology. There are those who still make use of Black Technology. Technology today is most often based upon Alchemy. Mankind had evolved slightly to be able to use 100 percent of their brain granting them certain capabilities. Besides Alchemy there are other arts less popular that also based on that evolution such as Adrenal Activation users. Alchemy is based upon a human's ability to connect, interact, and manipulate their own bioeletricity and bio electromagnetism.
  • The Emperor of Creation, created the godsends powerful objects and equipment by his own powers. There are godsends that seem like legendary objects of myth and legend but just many which seem to have no such basis. There some godsends that are simply containers holding in legendary spirits or powers. Godsends truly have an almost infinite amount of variation in what they, what forms they take, and accessibility. Some godsend can be genetic or randomly appear in new hosts, some are in dungeons and other such hidden locations where one must journey and undergo trials to obtain them, some are public but one must be worthy to gain it, some can be simply passed around, etc.
  • The Emperor of Ambition, whipped humanity and other beings back into shape going from location to location normalizing structure and co existsence to what would normally be utter chaos and panic. It's also believed he may have had something to do with humanity's evolution and their being able to use Alchemy, Godsends, and mystically powers.
  • The Emperor of Anti Magic, it is unknown what he had been doing during this time but it's clear whatever behind the scenes work he was doing it was for a good reason the world is not ready for.
And then each Emperror just vanished. They all bore what are called Emperor's Crests which were symbols of their power and stored them in what are called the 5 Imperial Dungeons. There have been few across the ages who have obtained an Emperor's Crest never more than one Emperor has existed since the 5 Original Emperors. They have used this power to do great things but nothing even near the level of the 5 Original Emperors, at the end of their lives the crests returned to their dungeons. Some of these Emperors had been known to share this power with others who were under them, they became known as Household Members, Retainers, etc.

Next to each Emperor is the a short description of the purpose of their power and then their power in its truest form.

Just like some Godsends, Emperor's Crest are contained in Dungeons that can vary from Crest to Crest but all generally end with the final portion being a fight against the First Emperor. These are the Five Imperial Dungeons their entrances are marked by the specific crest. The locations of which are known and so is the indestructible nature of the dungeons as well.

About the Characters

The Emperor's Crests and godsends are not indications of power so don't feel if you play as a independent you will be sidelined by the power of the Emperors, household members, and godsends. You can play as a human, cyborg, supernatural creature, literally anything.

About the Start of Roleplay

The plot and main story will evolve as the Roleplay goes on but it will start with a few key things.

  • The first main villain will be raising Hell all over.
  • The Five Crests are still in their dungeons
  • People and characters aiming to be will be going for the Five Imperial Dungeons and/or powerful godsends.
  • There have been prophecies, premonition, etc. that in the coming future there will need to be 5 Emperors active at once again.
  • Of course, if you have your own idea for what your character will be doing in the beginning that's fine
Rules
  • No god modding, meta gaming, auto hitting, etc.
  • No having your character know everything about everything and everyone especially something that wouldn't really be public knowledge
  • These next two apply to only the beginning stages of the Roleplay: The only restrictions is on Gods(all mythologies), Angels, and Demons (I mean the Judeo - Christian kind) as well as anyone who has a connection to those things. Of course no Emperors or Household Members at the beginning, not to be confused with people aiming to become one.

Seems cool. Can the power of Godsends surpass the Emporers? I’m planning a divine archer type character who would have a bow-type godsend, and would want the Lightning Crest. Would it be better to have him be looking for a bow-type godsend instead?

It honestly depends really how far an Emperor develops their power vs how well one develops their godsend. If he is looking find a bow type godsend he could discover it in say the dungeon of the Lightning Emperor maybe belonging to a former lightning emperor retainer.

Ok, that seems cool. I’ll probably make a CS when this comes out

Sorry, question! I'm just so darn excited now to start developing my character (Anti-magic is calling my name and it's been so long since I've roleplayed).
Do you plan to be posting the CS and such soon or will you be waiting a tad bit longer for more to voice their interest?

Alright, you've caught me once again. Don't know if I'll commit yet, but if I do, looking to serve an emperor.

K and Magi? I'm down.
