250 years ago, a massive event known as the Cataclysm had ravaged the world. During that time, throughout the globe the land was set ablaze, homes, businesses, and even people were burned to ashes. It was said that the Cataclysm was to be the end of everything and was meant to cleanse the land of all life so that new life would one day sprout from the remains. Although just as all seemed lost, a single person rose from blackened lands, holding in their hands a staff, they singlehandedly extinguished all the flames throughout the globe with a flash of white light within a mere moment. Those that were still alive felt a warmth that enveloped their bodies as the flames of the Cataclysm vanished leaving their bodies glowing in a different sort of flame that did not harm them, but instead kept them safe and warm. When questioned as to who the stranger was, they would only respond that their identity was unimportant and that if the people wanted to stay safe they should praise a being known as The Great Sol before pointing towards the sun.
Since that day, civilization around the world had begun to worship a new religion known as 'The Holy Sol Temple', where people would go to pray to The Great Sol for all their needs and concerns.
As the years went by, eventually people had begun to give signs of controlling flames. These first individuals and those who awakened their ability later on were considered "First-Generation Pyrokinetics". The belief was that these individuals were blessed by The Great Sol and given these abilities. However, suddenly one day, these individuals had begun to combust into balls of flames, their skin scorched red, uncontrollable flames came from every part of their bodies, and their humanity stolen from them only to be replaced by threatening violent behaviors. These individuals seemed nearly impossible to kill unless their chests were blown apart otherwise known as their 'cores'. These individuals were eventually named 'Infernals' and those that were more powerful and grew horns were considered 'Demons' or 'Devils'.
As time went on, those that had awakened their power to control flames were looked upon with terror at the thought that they would possibly one day become Infernals as well. When the number of people who had these abilities grew and the diversity of them expanded, soon enough, many of those who were in control of their power teamed up together to create what is known to this day as the "Fire Force". The organization consisted of men and women who could control their pyrokinetics and went out to protect everyone from the threat of those who had become Infernals.
As their reputation grew and the trust in pyrokinetics was eventually restored, even people that hadn't awakened their abilities such as ordinary civilians to even military personnel had begun to join the Fire Force. Because of the difference in variety of pyrokinetics, soon enough, those that could control their flames were assigned into two different categories: "Second-Generation" and "Third-Generation". Soon enough, as the organization grew, it had nearly become a mandate that any Infernals that were destroyed or 'put to rest' were to have a specific prayer that was known by The Holy Sol Temple stated to them prior to being put down so that their soul might be able to rest in peace.
Years passed and eventually a new ability came to life. Individuals were suddenly now able to control ice. Many of those who hadn't awakened their power had suddenly awakened their ability only to find themselves controlling the of ice in different forms as well. At first, there was shock amongst the public and soon enough it started to become a mixed reaction. One group of people began to believe that those that controlled ice were 'tainted' and did not put enough of their faith in The Great Sol and that was why they were shunned from its warmth and light. While another group believed that this was another power bestowed upon them by The Great Sol to protect the world. Either way, the Fire Force organization kept them and treated them no differently. Just as those who were pyrokinetics, these individuals ranged in different varieties of their power and were eventually categorized as "Second-Generation Cyrokinetics" and "Third-Generation Cyrokinetics". The first generation was kept out of the category listing as they believed if it were going to be the same with those who had gained their power and become Infernals, there were most likely going to be those that were the same case but with ice. Not long after the first few cyrokinectics came to know their power, as expected the first signs of Infernals covered in ice instead of flames were revealed. The defeat was still the same and the behavior was the same as well. They were soon deemed as "Frostbyters".
To this day, the Fire Force organization has spread throughout the globe. There is a headquarters in every corner of the world although their main headquarters is the Holy Sol Temple in Tokyo, Japan and just like every other country on the planet, every large city is powered by a massive flame reactor known as The Great Heart.
Everything seems to be at peace...but looming in the dark, a new threat approaches day by day.
Heey everyone!
So, this is a new idea I just thought of making a roleplay out of. The roleplay will be based off the anime "Fire Force". However, to keep things spoiler free and to avoid any complications, I have thought of keeping most of the main lore in the roleplay with some added tweaks here and there.
Difference is, this will be completely an AU. So that means, no canon characters. I will be making a lore thread if this does take off to help refresh memories of some details.
