Granvvale
The descendants of the crusader Fjalar have ruled Velthomer for centuries. It remains part of Granvvale despite the crimes of Emperor Arvis millennia ago, as its successor wished for their family crest, the Fire Emblem, to symbolize justice again. Their holy weapon is the fire tome Valflame, and they generally have red hair to match.
The high priest Bragi's line are the dukes and duchesses of Edda, inheriting the immensely powerful Valkyrie staff, and the ability to hear the truth from their ancestor at the Tower of Bragi. The staff was thought to be lost in the second holy war, but none of his chosen heirs have attempted to retrieve it from the tower since.
Chalpy is ruled by the descendants of the crusader Baldr, and inherit the main character blue hair and sword, Tyrfing. Have always been close to the royal family of Granvvale, and the jealousy other nobles felt over this helped the Loptyrians spark the second Holy war (and more than one war that didn't involve a dark god afterward), framing Byron and Sigurd as traitors, and forcing his son with princess Deidre into exile.
The royal family of Granvvale resides in the capital of Belhalla, and holds Saint Heim's Book of Naga, a light time capable or defeating Loptyr. After the second holy war, one of King Seliph's children took the throne, and another became duke of Chalpy. His sister Julia, the last known holder of the tome disappears from the pages of history after the defeat of Julius.

Euxia
Neir was the axeman among the crusaders, and his colossal war axe, Helswath, is passed along the rulers of Dozel. Though the crusader himself was loyal friend and stalwart ally, his descendants chose to withdraw from Granvvale alongside Friege after having been complicit in the second rise of the Loptyrian empire.
The crusader Thrud's purple-haired line rule Friege, which also used to be one of the six duchies of Granvvale, but split to form a separate country along the Euxine Sea with Dozel sometime after the second Holy war. They command the thunder tome Mjölnir. Though both are meant to be equals within Euxia, the house Friege always tend to outshine house Dozel, intentionally or not, and are generally acknowledged to be the real power there.

Verdane
Jungby was once a duchy within Granvvale, but with the marriage of one of its heirs to the heir of Verdane, it became simple border castle within it. The blood of the Bow Bod Ulir now flows in the veins of the royalty of Verdane, and they inherit his blonde hair and bow, Yewfelle.

Agustria
The black knight Hazur founded Agustria, with his children founding the various noble houses. As his youngest daughter inherited the brand and the sword Mystletainn, this left Nordion in the awkward position of holding the major blood while the actual king only had minor, if that. Before the second holy war, the people longed for Eldigan of Nordion to be their king, but only got their wish indirectly when his son Ares returned. The capital was moved to Nordion and his golden-haired line has ruled since.

Silesse
To the north, the crusader Ced's descendants inherit the wind tome Forseti and the throne of Silesse. It is said the Forseti was the youngest of the gods and the one who loved humanity the most, and thus he bound his will to his tome. His heirs are said to take on his will upon taking up his tome.

Mileta
Less of a country and more of a collection of free merchant cities. Something of an oddity, possesses no lineage from any particular crusader, though every so often a ruler will marry into a minor bloodline, such as with Duchess Linoan of Tahra in the second Holy War having the blood of Saint Heim.

Leonstar
To the southeast, the country of Leonstar has prospered under the of King Leif's brunette descendants. He and his line are descended from one of the famous sibling lance-welding crusaders, Nova, and pass her cursed lance, Gae Bolg, to their heirs' spouses, so they may choose when they will be separated from their beloved, as Nova was from hers.

Thracia
South of Leonstar, Nova's brother Dain of the lance Gungnir settled Thracia, a harsh and unforgiving land with little to offer in the way of crops or animals. Many of its people work as mercenaries or lead charges onto the more prosperous Leonstar. With the marriage of Leif's sister Altena to Arion, peace and a trade agreement were brought about during their lifetimes, but then the Nova bloodline married back into Leonstar, and fighting resumed a generation later. The two have been warring intermittently to the present day.

Issach
To the far east lies Issach, land of the Sword Saint Od. His people are known for long black hair and excellent swordsmanship, so it says something that the wielders of Balmung are considered the most fearsome of all.

Yied
Finally, between Granvvale and Issach lies the Yied desert, where the worshipers of Loptyr hide underground. Despite King Seliph's attempts to reintegrate them into society, they continued to be shunned and hated by the victims of the Loptyrian Empire and were once again forced below, plotting revenge until their god can rise again. Of course, the last known carrier of Loptyrian blood was Princess Julia, and no one knows if she has children or where they would be, leaving no one to inherit the Loptous tome.

-All inheritors of major holy blood have a brand somewhere on their body.
-Although rare, there can can be two major bloods in one generation (see: Mareeta and Shannan)
-Minor-bloods have been known to produce major blood hiers, but it's exceedingly rare and the parent is often plagued with rumors of incest
