Fandom Final Fantasy: The Journey Begins

Lilk2lu

Iä! Iä! Me fhtagn!
Class Types Info

Monk (Black Belt) — A martial arts expert who is best left fighting empty-handed, but may also wield nunchaku, and the most basic of staves. Does tremendous amounts of damage in combat, but cannot wear heavy armor. Can become the Master later in the game. In the original Famicom/NES version a high level, barehanded Master who is unencumbered by armor, can do more damage in a single attack than any other character type; a party of four Masters can defeat the final boss in less than two full rounds. A rather weak class in the beginning, but the player never has to buy much equipment.

Thief — A high evasion/accuracy finesse fighter with very limited weapon and armor selection, but greater agility and luck (ability to escape from combat). However, the ability to flee is bugged in versions before the Origins release. Later in the game, the Thief can be upgraded to the Ninja class. The Ninja job can use almost every weapon and most armor, and can use many Black Magic spells.

White Mage — A specialist in White Magic. Not a good fighter, but can use hammers for physical attacks and is focused on supporting the team with healing and enhancing spells for an advantageous edge to victory of the battle. Can be upgraded into a White Wizard, which allows the character to use the most powerful White Magic spells in the game.

Black Mage — A specialist in powerful Black Magic, but is physically frail in other areas. Becomes the Black Wizard later on. Black Wizard is the only character who can cast Flare (NUKE in the original North American localization), one of the two damaging spells that retain full effectiveness against Chaos (the White Wizard can cast Holy, the other spell, but it is less powerful than Flare).

Red Mage — A jack-of-all-trades character, able to use most but not all of both White and Black Magic, and possessing fighting abilities similar to but not quite as good as the Fighter. Becomes the Red Wizard later in the game.

Character Info

Name: Ronifrin, Roni for short

Age: 19

Race: Human

Class: Black Mage

Gender: Male

Appearance: Ronifrin has glowing yellow eyes that shine through the shadows that hide his face. He has crow black hair that is pulled into a short ponytail. He wears a large yellow straw hat that hides his face from the outside world. He wears knee high steel toed yellow boots and yellow leather gloves. His robes match the color of a summer sky with many pockets that hold any and all his spell components. He wields a 10" knife in battle when not using his magic.

Weight: 113 lbs

Height: 5'5"

Personality: Ronifrin seems to be the most antisocial person in the world. This is, in fact, not true. He just is the type who doesn't start conversations. He will speak to people when he gets to know them he can just be shy at first. He prefers to let others do his talking for him unless it's of importance. Or he really needs to speak his mind.

If he has gotten annoyed with anyone he gets very angry and tends to yell at them calling them names and such. He doesn't stay angry for long just long enough to blow up at people. He never gets mad at children and is in fact very good with them.

He absolutely hates being called short in any means of the word. If pushed too far he may attack whoever made fun of his perfectly normal height. It's not his fault that there are tall
freaks out there. He also hates being accused of being evil just because of his magic. Lots of people accuse him of being evil and he does not like it. He has never used his magic for evil and never will. It's a stereotype that needs to end in his opinion.

He enjoys reading books when not doing anything of real importance. He always carries at least two books that are not spell books with him. He also enjoys cooking. He never thinks his cooking is any good but his family and friends tell him otherwise. According to them he is a pretty good cook.

Strengths:

-Knows powerful black magic spells

-Is an expert knife fighter

-Is a decent camp cook

-Great with children

Weaknesses:

-Not the strongest person

-Sometimes says things that gets him in trouble

-Not very patient

-Can be very quiet

Likes:

-A good book

-His sisters

-Sweets

-Children

-Seymour

Dislikes:

-Dislikes being called short

-Doesn't like the fact that he is short

-Annoying People

-Spicy Foods

-Dislikes when people accuse him of being evil, not all black mages are evil

Fears:

-Water

-Losing his family

-Water

-Disappointing his family

-Did we mention water?

Other things:

-Is friends with Seymour

-Has two sisters named Kya and Shurlie

History: Ronifrin's life started out simply. He was just a young boy who grew up in a small farming community. Adventure and heroic deeds were not at the top of his list of priorities. He was the first born of three and was the only boy. When not working in the fields or being educated Ronifrin spent a lot of his free time playing with his sisters in the woods not far from their town.

It was on one such day that tragedy almost befell the family. While playing the siblings happened upon a river. As they pretended to be heroes trying defeat evil, Ronifrin tripped and fell into the river. With the current being to his fast and his sisters not strong enough to pull him out he nearly drowned. It was luck that Seymour happened to find him while exploring. He pulled Ronifrin from the water and to safety. From that day forward Ronifrin and Seymour became the closest of friends.

As Ronifrin grew older he began to teach himself the ways of Black Magic. He wanted to protect those he cared about better and thought that Black Magic could help him with this. He especially wanted to protect Seymour who he knew was being abused by his father for being a White Mage. Ronifrin couldn't understand why anyone would purposely hurt someone they were supposed to care about. He told himself that he would do whatever he had to protect his friend.

As more years went by with very little change Ronifrin yearned for something more. He wanted to explore the world. There was so much out there and he wanted to experience it. But he didn't want to do it alone. He asked Seymour, to the point of pestering the White Mage, until he finally agreed to go with him on this journey. Afterh gathering the gear they would need, including traveling mage garb, they set out.

As they traveled they felt as if someone or something was calling to them. As they explored further they found Orbs. A voice seemed to speak directly into their minds telling them of a Prophesy of four Warriors of Light. Four warriors destined to bring Light back unto the Orbs of Light and to defeat Chaos, bringing peace to the world.

The voice told them to head for the great kingdom of Corneria. There they would meet the other Destined Warriors and their journey would begin.

RP Sample(only fill out if you didn't link any RPs): Ronifrin couldn't help smiling. It was a gorgeous day. The birds were singing, there was a soft breeze and the sun was shinning. It couldn't get any better if you asked him. At the moment in time he was laying against a tree his arms behind his head and his legs crossed. He sighed relaxed. Nothing could possibly ruin this day.

He had come to his favorite tree to think. It was just a willow tree but he just loved it. A butterfly fluttered by as his mind wandered. His thoughts were scattered often interrupting each other. His mind constantly wandered to different thoughts. Most of which he had had before but all of them had something in common. They all focused around how much he wanted change.

He couldn't help but think that things were just too...boring. Sure he loved it here but it was just the same thing every day. He had learned pretty much everything that he would ever need to learn for Black Magic. And he loved his sisters and family so much but....he wanted something more. He knew that there was a bigger world out there and he wanted to experience it.

Perhaps he would be able to convince Seymour to go with him. Yeah that would be fun. The two of them were like peas in a pod. He just knew they would have tons of fun on this trip. His lips formed a grin and he stood up. He needed to go talk to Seymour about this. It'll be fun and he knew it.

Appearance:

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_07/image.png.fca08e864110afb4b249f7b663420c28.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="143218" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_07/image.png.fca08e864110afb4b249f7b663420c28.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Weight: 238 lbs

Height: 6'5

Personality:

Nama is very free willed and will do anything for it to stay that way. He does everything in his own way and has fun doing that. He moves on his own like a lone wolf because that's the only way he's acted his whole life. He branches out not afraid of being judged, because he's been different ever since he was born so why change.

While he's free willed he has a sense of urgency to him. If he wants to do something he wants to do it quickly whilst still having fun. If he does something and isn't having fun he won't do it again and even if he only finds a slither of fun from doing something he will do it again.

from his face you can tell he isn't a very serious person. He's always joking and trying to have fun. By fun it might mean drinking or even spending time in the forest or with other people.

Nama has these amazing muscles and people assume he's not a monk because he looks different from the rest of them. This is what I meant about him learning the basics and branching out. When he was taught the basics of being a monk and fighting hand to hand. He left trying to find his own path down a more powerful road. The master suggested this seeing his personality.

Strengths:

-Has very powerful punches and kicks

-He can persuade people into doing things for him

-He's faster than most but slower than those who spec into speed

-He's a great swimmer

-He has knowledge of most beast

Weaknesses:

-He doesn't like waiting at all

-He's not the most intelligent person

-He charges in aimlessly with no thought

-He flexes way too much

Likes:

-Fighting

-Muscles

-Bugs

-Water

-Salty Food

-People

Dislikes:

-People who stereotype other people

-Boring things and Boring people

-Normal people

-Heights

Fears:

-Waking up and not having muscles

-Being forced to stay still for over 20 minutes

-Empty spaces

-Cut down forest

Other things:

-His father was a Master

-His sister Miriuen also is a Master

History:

When Nama was born no one expected much of him because he had a breathing problem when he was born, his lungs were to small and shriveled up so he couldn't breathe to his full power which left him hyperventilating constantly and he was even close to death. While he couldn't breathe he was constantly being watched over and cared for until he was on the verge of death. All his baby mind remembers was a grey-bearded man with gigantic muscles came in cast some magic and his lungs unshriveled and bloomed. He was able to breathe and live.

The man was all his mind remember but his dad told him all about his breathing problem and how he was going to die. How he owed his life to the man for his special techniques, this is when he decided to branch out and decide what he wanted to do. His father taught him the basic teachings of a monk and Nama told him thank you and went out to find his own way his own branch of Monk teachings.

He spent years away from civilization living in forests and caves using his teachings to help at every chance he had. He survived attacks, from Muck's to mummies. He's fought Anklyos and T-Rex just to find his style, his path, his way. He spent these years enjoying every encounter having fun doing it all, when he realized that his way was always there FUN he used instincts and adrenaline to push him through situations while he had fun. This day when he realized this is when the grey-bearded man decided to teach him his ways.

The way of hyper growth. A way that involved a strong core which included, strong arms, legs, abdomen and mind. It taught him not only how to hit hard but to think logically to the point where his body moves as soon as he thinks. It's not him being reckless it's his body and mind flowing as one which helps him have amazing reaction time. Then the Grey-bearded man vanished without a trace leaving him to find his own way. This is also when Nama moved to a town and settled down. Or so he thought he searched his house for a faint voice calling out to him he found where it came from but all he saw was a pendant. This pendant sounded like the grey-bearded man who had taught him so much. He kept saying put me on and follow the light. Nama of course put it on and felt a strong power coursing through his vision, all he could see was the light. The grey-bearded man's voice told him to go The Great Kingdom of Corneria where he was to meet the Destined Warriors and their journey would begin.

Character Info

Name

Seymour Reinhardt

Age

20

Race

Human

Class

White Mage

Gender

Male

Appearance

Seymour is the very essence of a string bean. He was always tall as a child and he just kept on growing. The white mage's body is also completely devoid of any fat and barely has muscle. He's pale, almost sickly so due to his hatred of outdoors. The man has wild, short blue hair that sticks out in every directions. The perfect bedhead. Seymour can almost always be found wearing his
white mage robes.

Weight

140

Height

6'5

Personality

Seymour is as timid as timid can be. He is awful at meeting new people and making conversation. He actively avoids people's gazes and it's why he prefers to stay inside. Impossible as it may be, Seymour often tries to hide behind people. Even though he is pretty much taller than everyone else.

Once he gets to know a person however, he attaches himself to them. Seymour would do anything for his friends because if they're happy, he's happy. To him, friendship is a lifelong bond. The man is very different around his friends. He's actually quite the chatterbox when speaking privately with people. Once Seymour begins talking about something it's hard for him to stop. Even so, he lacks a sense of humor. It is not uncommon for sarcasm or a joke to go right over Seymour's head. This is due to his upbringing where it was no nonsense all the time.

The white mage is always looking for a way to avoid conflict. Seymour is a pacifist himself and will only fight if it's to protect one of his friends. He will never engage a fight on his own. Even if his friends do get in danger, he'd prefer to find a peaceful resolution. This had led to Seymour getting beaten up on more than once occasion.

Seymour's greatest joy in life is helping others. Even though he might be shy around strangers if they are injured he doesn't hesitate to help. He looks at his magic as a gift to share with the world. If no one were to remind Seymour to eat while caring for someone he wouldn't. He devotes all his concentration to the injured.

History

Seymour was born to a simple farmer and his wife. He was the only child and was expected to take over the family farm. Seymour was taught to farm at an incredibly young age. His father was a callous man, choosing to show tough love over affection. Whenever Seymour would mess up his father would hit him.

This lifestyle caused Seymour to be a generally shy person. he had never been allowed to play with other kids. "If you have time to play, you have time to work." was his father's favorite quote. And so, Seymour grew up without having friends. The closest thing he had for a friend was his mother, who showed him affection.

Unfortunately, his father's beatings only became more frequent. Seymour found out that he had a talent for magic. Specifically, healing. His father forbade it, going so far as to steal his books of magic that his mother had gotten. Whenever talk of magic came up, the beatings only got worse.

The problems with his father came to a head one day when his mother became deathly sick. Seymour tried his best to help her but he didn't have the knowledge to save her. His mother passed away and Seymour blamed himself for her death. His father also blamed Seymour for her death, and rejected the boy as his son.

That day, Seymour ran away from home crying. He ran into the woods in a blind depression. He may have spent his last days there, grieving and let himself die if not for the screams. He heard someone calling for help and found another boy drowning. Determined not to let someone else die that day, Seymour dove in and saved the boy.

The two would quickly become best of friends. The two were inseparable, really. The white mage spent all the time he could at Ronifrin's, being afraid to go home. He studied White Magic with a new passion, wanting to help others. He also became the voice of reason for his friend, doing his best to diffuse Ronifrin's short temper.

And so it was that the two grew up together. Seymour staying at Ronifrin's, sometimes not even returning home to sleep because he hated seeing his father. Then one day Ronifrin began pestering Seymour to go on an adventure. The white mage declined for several weeks but finally decided to go. it seemed Ronifrin was going to go whether Seymour liked it or not, so he would go to keep him safe.

The two found orbs and a voice entered Seymour's head. Truth be told, he was so terrified he had hardly heard what the voice said. Ronifrin however, had heard it perfectly and told them where they had to go. Seymour had no intention of fighting monsters on some quest, but he was determined to protect his friend.

RP Sample

(If this needs to be a sample of Seymour I can do that but if you just wanna see writing style here's a character I made that I liked. A shame the rp fell through.)

Greg kissed his mother's forehead, hugging her tightly. It would be the first time the two had been apart for more than a week since his father passed away. "I love you Momma. You know that. I got Javon to bring you food every day, aiight? And I'm gonna call you as soon as I get settled in." Vivian smiled and shook her head, hugging her son just as tight as he was hugging her. "Just go have fun Greg. You don't have to worry about me." They stayed like that for a while longer before the cab driver honked outside. Greg gave her another quick kiss before slinging his duffel bag over his shoulder, wheeling the other suitcase behind him. He called out one last time over his shoulder before closing the door. "Love you momma!"

The cab driver opened the door for Greg and he sat inside, holding his bags in his lap. "I appreciate you waiting man. Had to say bye to my moms and it's on the way." Greg reached into his pocket and pulled out a five, handing it to the cab driver. "If you get me there fast there's another five in it for you." As it turns out, this was not a good idea. The cab driver apparently did not fear death and so began speeding down the street. Greg could only watch in terror, immediately wishing he had gotten high before he left his house.

The cab came screeching to a halt and Greg sent up a silent prayer. He handed the cab driver another five and pulled his stuff out of the seat. As soon as he was out the cab peeled out. Though his legs were still a little wobbly from his near death experience, Greg walked into the airport. The stunt the cab driver had pulled had put him way ahead of schedule. He arrived at the gate and checked in. The flight attendant said the plane would be boarding soon and so Greg took his seat. He had told the tv people that he could pay for his own ticket but they insisted. Of course, Greg wouldn't really complain about getting first class.

The flight was uneventful enough, albeit long. Greg merely put his headphones out and zoned out for the entire flight. Once finally back on land Greg headed to baggage claim and grabbed his suitcase before walking out. They had told him they would send a driver and he didn't have trouble finding the limo. "Would you like me to take your bags sir?" "Nah, I got it. Thanks though. I pack light." The driver bowed his head and got in the car, surprised to look over and see Greg in the passenger side. "Wouldn't you rather sit in the back, sir?" Greg blinked in surprise, the thought having never even occurred to him. "Oh, no thanks. I'm sure you get lonely up here. I don't mind."

The two shared small talk as they drove and they eventually reached the house. It took a moment for Greg to even realize that they had arrived. "You mean I'm staying here? Awh hell no. This is huge bruh!" Greg was excited to explore the house so he gave the driver a quick fist bump before collecting his things and exiting the limo. He didn't really know if he should wait for someone or if he should just walk in. The young man waited for about 15 minutes just standing outside before deciding no one was coming.

As he walked up to the door he noticed music was playing. Loudly. "Aiight whoever is doing that shit is gonna have to stop, real quick." Greg opened the doors and looked around before actually stepping inside. He wasn't much for crowds and didn't want to walk into a room full of 10 other people just yet. Once he was sure the coast was clear he walked in an immediately zoned in on the source of the loud music. He turned it down and hoped whoever had turned it on wouldn't mind. With nothing else to do Greg decided to find a room, beginning to aimlessly wander the house.

Rosé Velox

Age:

19

Race:

Human

Class:

Theif

Gender:

Female

Appearance:

latest

Weight:

Skinny 95 lbs

Height:

5'1

Personality:

Rosé is a charming little kleptomaniac who loves her life. She just loves to steal! Gold, food, hearts whatever she can get her very clean mitts on. She keeps her mitts very clean. it's an impulse for her and not something she can control. Luckily she loves it! Stealing gets her all the fun things. Of course after a while, just burglary got boring so she grew a silver tongue and started talking people out of their money. Clever and quick to read people she always knows what buttons to push to get what she wants. When she's not putting on some persona or another, she is upbeat and outgoing and loves to prank and out-talk everyone around her, drinking heavily and living richly.

Strengths:

+Quick: She's really fast, you tend to get really good at running away from things when you steal for a living, she can run jump climb and get pretty much anywhere she wants.

+Quiet: She can disappear like she was never there in the first place and is an expert at getting anywhere.

+Qcharming: Though it breaks the alliteration, she is quite the charmer when she tries, rumors say she could talk a starving man out his last crust of bread (False, she would just steal it).

Weaknesses:

-Small: She can't hit hard and she can't take many hits.

-Klepto: She steals things, get used to that, it doesn't exactly endear her to people though, or the law.

-Manipulative: She presses buttons, she wheedles weaknesses and she lies. Generally when shes found out, its not a good scene.

Likes:

+Stealing (If that hasn't been made clear)

+Rich delights

+Messing with people

+Figs

+Gold

Dislikes:

-Bores

-The law

-The Man, man.

-Snitches

Fears:

To die in a gutter.

History:

Rosé was born in a gutter and has fought for 19 years not to die there. Before she learned how to walk she learned to steal before she could walk and lie before she could fully talk. Her mother died when she was 4. Her father died a year later and she was on her own in the streets of the city. But she was determined, she didn't want to die like her parents. So she got really good at stealing. She worked her way up to being the best pickpocket in the city. To the best burglar. To the best con artist. But she still wanted more, more risk, more reward, more security. So she took more risks. She gathered friends and allies growing more and more powerful. She was named the Queen of thieves at 17. Then things began going wrong.

It started when a cartel entered the capital, peddling drugs and elixirs. Selling them to any who would buy. And frankly Rosé did not want that to happen, she was a thief not some drug selling scumbag. But there were those among her allies that saw all the gold they could make and a civil war started among the theives. After a long, bloody year of knives in the night and riots in the streets she made sure no one would be selling drugs in her city. She was also broke. So she decided to do something stupid, rob the king's treasury. It didn't go well. Everyone died. So now she's alone, wandering the street, wanted by the gaurds and stealing only what she needs. And some occasional sparkles.
