Julien Campbell:
Julien is his girlfriend, his best friend, and his ride or die. They grew up in the same small town, which meant that they were bound to know each other throughout childhood for one reason for another. In their case, it was because Casper's older sister often babysat Julien. That didn't leave them wildly close or anything, but when Julien needed her car fixed over summer break while in college, it was something that they had in common and remembered about each other. They clicked pretty quickly and have been dating for three years now. Cas is certain that she's the "one" for him, and because of that, there wasn't a doubt in his mind that he needed to come to Manhattan with her when she found out the life-altering news that her father was the James Simons. It meant leaving the job that he loved, the car that he loved, and his quaint small town life, but Julien's more important to him than all of that combined, and he's excited to see where this road takes them.

Adeline Simons:
Adeline may not have greeted he and Julien with the warmest of welcomes, but Casper likes to see the best in people, so he's certain that she was only cold towards them because of the stress she's going through after losing both of her parents just a short time ago, on top of having come back from a trip during their first and only interaction the day after they moved in. He's excited to get to know her and is certain that anyone who shares half of the DNA of Julien has got to be halfway decent.

Jasmine loves her big brother more than anyone else in the world. He's been her rock and best friend for as long as she can remember. Most people who know them would say they are nearly inseparable, and have been that way most of their lives. Due to their fathers upbringing and pressure for them both to be basically perfect there is always at least a little bit of competition between them, but it's never caused a rift between them. If anything just serving to make them better. There isn't anything she wouldn't do for him, and is happy to be with him in NYC away from their father.

They met from Reagan bringing her to one of his shows, and the rest is history. They clicked well enough and had a good time. As their friendship was growing however it got irrupted by a spontaneous hook-up session after a particular party. To most surprise, it didn't just stop there like an accident. It was wrong in her mind, and she knew it wasn't like her, but their was just something about him that kept letting him back in, and it felt nice that even if it wasn't right, it was ok. She didn't have to be miss perfect in these moments, and she was slightly addicted to the feeling. Sadly as time has gone by because of that she's started to develop feelings for him. She's not sure if they are real or just because of the intimacy they're sharing because at least on her side it's exclusive. Now with the recent development, she's not sure what she thinks.

While at first merely friends because her brother met him, and then he does live in the same building as her, while rooming with Alexander as well...it was kind of inevitable they'd know each other. However despite all those connections they've developed a friendship of their own. They are both social, and friendly, with images they try to protect which is enough for her right now. If only they knew how alike they really were on the inside too.

Reagan is one of the few female friends Jasmine will say she's actually close to. Her friendly and welcoming personality as well as being a lot less judgy then most make her one of her favorites to talk to. Everyone has this image of Jasmine, and while that's her own fault (if you don't count the original pressure from daddy dearest...) it can be a lot to bare. Knowing when she's around Reagan she doesn't have to try so hard is a huge relief, and she reminds the girl it's ok to just relax and breathe in this crazy world.

While she was certainly skeptical of him at first due to his reputation with the ladies, Jasmine has learned to admire Nate for his charm, work ethic, and other positive qualities. Since he doesn't treat her like his one night stands, but an actual friend. She's not sure if her natural personality is what did it, or the fact she's not your typical rich girl who hooks up with just anyone. She still not supportive of his player ways, but she also knows now she has no room to judge considering her connection to Alexander. If anything she knows if she's not sure of a guys intentions she can ask for his advice, since who knows players minds better than a player. Still she holds him in high regard.

Serena's personality aside from the fact they are both pretty friendly people is pretty different from Jasmine's. In fact a lot of her qualities Jasmine secretly wishes she had. Mainly the ability to be bold, stand firm for herself and what she wants, unafraid of who she might upset in the process because she knows she's doing the right thing, or at least following her heart. She hopes that maybe one day that'll rub off on her as they hang out more.

Jasmine met her when she moved into the building after noticing the movers a few weeks ago. She was friendly and the girl seems nice, but a bit shy as well. They don't really know each other well since they haven't really had the chance to talk much since then. She hopes that'll change, but for now she is content. She's heard of her, and especially about her father, but she's choosing to believe that she's not like him.

These two girls might run in the same circle and have a few of the same friends (namely Reagan) but they do not get along. They are total opposites of each other despite both being raised in the lap of luxury. She believes Cat is everything her father is afraid she'll turn into and as far as Jasmine is concerned for good reason (she's wild!). While Jasmine believes her natural nature wouldn't ever let her get too wild, it's people like Cat that make her life harder because it puts more pressure on her from society and her father to not be like that. As such Jasmine does her best to not be in the same space as her if she can help it, especially out in public.​

Jasmine has technically known Markus for a long time due to their father's, but she only really came to visit New York once in a while so they never got the chance to be close while growing up. She's gotten to know him more since permanently moving to New York when she arrived for College. He can't cook to save his life and she's a professional Chef, so naturally she helps him out and he dines at her restaurant from time to time. More recently she's decided to try and teach him to cook, though we'll see how well that goes.

Jasmine likes Adeline, and it helps they've got quite a few friends in common, and even dislike the same person. It was a match made in heaven. She likes to help her out when she can, especially by inviting her over for diner so she doesn't always have to eat out or get food delivered. She feels home cooked meals that are shared with friends taste better anyways. She feels for her in this situation with her family knowing the pain of losing a loved one, but she also hopes she can open her heart to the new girl, and show her the side of her that Jasmine sees, and not just the side of her the media does.

Casper Cyrus: Arguably Julien's favorite person and she is lucky enough to have been dating him for the past 3 years. While his older sister was her childhood babysitter, they didn't really get to know each other until they ended up together as adults. She's been head over heels for him since. While she doesn't need a ring on her finger to feel like their relationship is official (and honestly she feels a little young for that), she can't imagine being with anyone else. When her whole world changed, she didn't want him to feel like he had to come with him and change his whole world, but she was so glad that he did. She was scared to go into this alone and couldn't imagine anyone else by her side.

Adeline Simons: Her newly discovered sister. All Julien wants to do is get to know her and learn about her father, but she understands that this isn't easy for her. She doesn't expect them to be best friends immediately, in fact she doesn't even expect Adeline to like her right away. She knows that losing both her parents and finding out that her dad cheated and Julien was the result of that is not easy in the slightest. However, she hopes with time they can get to know each other. She just doesn't want Adeline to hate her because, to be fair, Julien was not at fault for the actions of her parents and never asked to be born.

Julien Campbell:
Reagan only knows of Julien through Adeline, and the media. As a longtime friend of Adeline's, it was absolutely shocking to find out that she wasn't an only child. Not only is Adeline really your quintessential only child in terms of who she is, but to think that her father had an affair? Nearly unthinkable. He was such a great guy as far as Reagan knew, and everyone in their elite circle was devastated when they found out that the Simons had been killed so tragically. To then find out that they had been hiding a secret all of this time only added to the controversy. Regardless of that, Reagan has been adamant in attempting to persuade Adeline that this girl has nothing to do with her father's betrayal. If anything, she was the one who got the short end of the stick because she didn't get to have a father like Adeline did. Reagan will do her best to keep Adeline from being unnecessarily cruel, though she knows she can only do so much.

Casper Cyrus:
While Reagan will work to ensure that Adeline plays nice with her sister, she isn't going to make the same effort for the boyfriend. She doesn't blame Adeline for not wanting some random man moving into her home - Reagan wouldn't want that either. While she's open to seeing what he's about, she won't go out of her way in the beginning, at least, to benefit him.

Jasmine Jackson:
Reagan appreciates people who have kind and soft souls. Jasmine is a good girl who really tries hard to do good and maintain the reputation that everyone wants her to have. Reagan recognizes that and thinks she's strong for maintaining it for so long. However, she's the first person to tell Jasmine that she needs to relax. She doesn't need to please anyone other than herself at the end of the day, and while she knows that it's easier said than done, she's always there to support and listen to the girl with whatever is on her mind.

Adeline Simons:
Adeline is an all-grown-up bratty heiress who never heard the word "no" in her life. Regan dislikes most people who fit that bill (and therefore, dislikes a lot of people she grew up with). However, Adeline always had something endearing about her. The fact that her grandfather invested millions into the start of her father's business certainly played a role in why she has always felt compelled to look kindly on Adeline, but the girl is always sweet underneath all of that "me, me, me", to an extent that Reagan has taken on a nearly big-sister sort of role with her. She cares about Adeline more than she cares to admit, and tends to defend the girl more than she sometimes deserves.​

Casper is someone Nathan immediately liked when he met him. He was friendly and he obviously could talk about deeper subjects if Nathan so desired. He's a very laidback guy. They're friends but he doesn't want to burden him with his own emotions. The man must have enough people spilling out their problems with all the friends he has.

Career: Fashion Designer. Serena is known to be a dominating figure in the fashion world. She's known for her legendary temper--she first got viral for telling someone off for fatshaming a model. She has a streak of going for what hasn't been done before. Her designs are pleasant to the eye, and when a movie company reached out to her to design the costumes of the actors, she caught global attention. She now designs clothes for whatever she pleases, but she's starting her own line soon enough. "Inclusivity." is her key word, and she says that with a mischievous look in her eye.

Appearance: Serena is a pixie like figure at 5'4, she's very petite but lithe. Don't take her height into account, her glare is known to topple the strongest. Her hair varies depending on what she needs to do. Sometimes it's short, other times it's long. It's often mocha colored with lighter streaks. She has hazel eyes, and a scar across her left palm that she rubs when nervous. She has no birthmarks, but she does have dimples that appear on the sides of her cheeks when she smiles.

Personality: Serena's incredibly hilarious. She's known to make witty and dry quips-- a true Chandler Bing. Appreciate her jokes, and she softens towards you, a great honor. Sometimes, her humor acts up at the worst times, she's most likely to be making a quip during a funeral. She's a very driven person, when she sees something, she puts her mind to it to go out and get it. That being said, she's quite a career woman. She's dedicated to her work--a true workaholic. She's a protector of the people--her twitter is known for making dry tweets at dumb celebrities, and she's well loved. She's a bit eccentric at times--she get up at odd times to sketch designs, has moments where she simply can't concentrate--and that makes relationships a bit tough. It's hard to have a relationship when your significant other isn't picking up your calls because she lost her phone under a huge pile of books.

History

Daughter to Ethan Wate, the United States Ambassador, Serena's lived most of her child life in the suitcase. Wherever her father went, she went, which meant that she was often learning in a new school every few months or so. She learned how to make friends, make connections, learn languages. Her father was demanding--if he had to be perfect for his job, she would have to be a perfect child to make things easier on him. Things had to be done in a certain way, a certain order--and she didn't have much of a parental unit. Rather, she worked for her father. She was in charge of certain things around the house, and if things weren't proficient to her father's taste, she'd receive an earful. The only sort of true affection she received was from her father's cold nod of approval if she did something right.

That being said, she understands how things change and evolve. She knows that things won't be set in stone, but that's why she has her multitude of plans. She has the main plan, and three plans just in case. You know the phrase "He came, he saw, he conquered"? That phrase effectively summed up the beginning of her career. She knew what she wanted to be from a young age, and so far, she's been on track. She has plans to get married and have children at specific ages, and so far, she's been sticking to the plan.

She first got noticed during a class at her university, someone filmed her standing up to the teacher for fatshaming her choice of model. It went viral across social media and soon she was having requests to have her designs be shown. She partnered up with a sponsor to release her first season of clothing, which was a hit. But her social media stunt didn't go off so well with her father. Embarrassed at having such a child, Ethan disowned her. But Serena had enough money from her designs to cushion her as she got cut off--she changed her name and moved into the apartment. She's best friends with the CEO. Her plan is spaced out and has good timing but her best friend seems to be a bit too...rushed. He should relax and plan, like she did.

Serena's continuing with her fashion career and hoping to fall in love within the year, but someone might have to show her that there's more to life than just plan after plan.

They met at a bar, it was the anniversary of Ava's death and he was... not in a good place. Upon ordering the same drink, they talked a bit back and forth and eventually bonded in the slightest. Matthew had offered James something to help him cope and... let's it wasn't a grief support group, and we're gonna leave it at that. Matthew seems like a good person in Jamie's eyes, he hadn't done any wrong and he was... real, in a sense. And he was never really one for friends, but he'll go as far as to call him one.

The two had bumped into each other inside the hotel when Copper, Nathaniel's dog had gotten overly excited and basically threw himself at the sight of Jamie's smile, desperate for attention and James had no choice but to give him some, apologies were thrown and some 'It's okay's.' and maybe one 'What's his name?' They bonded over cliche puppy talk for a few minutes before James had to go to work, and he could only imagine that's where Nathaniel was going too, he's not too sure about what to think of him just yet, though, Nathaniel is the splitting image of what he'd be if he only listened to his father. And not that Jamie's judging? But he's glad he didn't end up like that.
