Fiend's Lost & Found\..../
Experience: I've been writing for over 15 years now in a variety of formats, since the beginning I have always enjoyed creative writing the most. In particular I have had quite a bit of experience tinkering with light and heavy magic systems, fictional eco-systems, bestiaries and creating different kinds of mythologies and associated histories, nearly always centred around human figures, kingdoms and worlds. But I also have a great liking and quite a bit of experience with supernatural stories that involve human sub-species like vampires, werewolves, hybrids, beast people, ghouls, etc.
Preferences: Horror, Action, Adventure, Suspense, Magic, Mystery, Psychological Thriller, Romance, Modern, Historical, Sci-Fi, Slice of Life. It is hard to just pick a few, what grabs me most is the inspiration and potential I personally can find in an idea and how I can adapt that or share it in a way that everyone involved can keep having fun while developing more groundwork to play with later. However, I nearly always avoid canon based fandom RPs, I really enjoy OC plots and casts in fandom settings especially a lot of anime settings, but I tend not to touch anything that is canon.
Standard: You don't need to have good grammar or perfect spelling to team up with me! As long as I can understand the sentiment of your post and the actions your characters are taking I am more than happy to RP with you. Also if the length of this Interest Check hasn't scared you off already then you've already got the laser focus needed to keep up with my posts. The only thing I might stress a little bit is OOC communication, but really all that amounts to is answering any weird questions I might ask that relate to the story or setting.
Frequency: I tend to overthink my posts and go the extra step where I can to ensure its not only fun to write but will also be fun for my RP partners to read, but this all adds to the strain on my ability to 'keep up' with some of the other word magicians out there who can churn out great posts in an hour or less. Because of this I can typically be expected to post once every few days, normally I'll be able to keep up with at least 1 post a day but I can't make any promises on that regard.
Depth: I write larger posts most of the time, especially if my partner is also writing a lot. I do have a standard to try and match my RP partners posts roughly, but if someone is posting ~5 or more paragraphs, I'm just gonna go crazy and let loose on the text editor. But I don't mind meeting restrictions where they are placed and usually find it quite easy, so if you prefer to see 2-3 paragraphs and only 2-3 then be sure to let me know and I can adjust accordingly with no troubles.
Taboo: As previously stated I don't do canon fandom RPs or projects that include canon characters. Beyond that I am pretty open to trying different things and as long as I enjoy the idea and it is not breaking any site rules then I am happy to give it a shot, but one line I tend to avoid is; MxM romance, I tend to prefer a platonic bromance and a fist bump with my MxM pairings just as a personal preference.
- If you think I'd be compatible with one of your ideas, feel free to reach out to me and provide a link to your Interest Check or just throw your ideas at me in the DM and I'll get back to you soon! You can also just respond in the thread and I'll go ahead and DM you with a few questions to find out what kind of story you're looking to create. I prefer to keep all my RP to this site, so no Discord or Email from me unless we already have a good project going, I don't mind using the public forums or keeping posts between DMs. I normally default to creating a new thread for IC posting and using DMs for OOC posting, so if you want everything to be in DMs please let me know before hand as I'm inclined to forget to ask and just choo-choo ahead on the default settings.

In a fantastical world of magic and monsters humans were once among the lowest and weakest of the intelligent races, compared to the others they were short lived, frail and lacked an aptitude for magic. During an event known as the Final Bastion Wars one human would rise to change the balance, wielding immensely powerful magical tools and an ancient tome of magic the hero of humanity would stem the invasion of the Orcish hordes and begin to establish a new era of prosperity by imparting the secrets and knowledge of the Grimoires. Now learning to use a magical medium is on par with general education for most human Kingdoms and those who are truly gifted are put on adventures and journeys to see out their very own grimoire.
With this change in balance and the beginning of humanities so called 'Age of Prosperity' many of the other races have marked the beginning of an era of chaos as new and more powerful human armies march across the lands to take back their ancestral homes and avenge those who gave their lives to ensure that humanity would one day have this chance. The Orcish hordes, defeated and licking their wounds are on the retreat being pushed back into the Broken Barrens while the beastly races that had become unwilling vassals of the horde reap the vengeance of the growing human armies. Meanwhile the Elves that once turned a blind eye to humanities plight put up no fight in returning the lands they claimed after human empires fell and fear that growing tensions will soon draw them to war as well.
However, on the horizon danger looms as the movements of a demonic cult within humanities bowels begin to resonate with a sinister danger, assassins of this order have been seeking out and destroying any human wielding magical artefacts and returning them to their dark and vile nest hoping to stir their dark slumbering master out of rest.
The OC's are wielders of unique grimoires known as the Living Tomes, they are books of dark and powerful knowledge that choose those who will use them. Their forms are crafted from the flesh and magic of mythological beasts yet no pages can be found in between their covers. For the nature and secrets of a living tome are not found so easily, first the tome must be awakened with a sacrifice and then specific materials and magic must be fed to the tomes in order to promote it to 'grow' more pages and reveal their knowledge to the users. With the threat of mysterious and dark dangers growing in the shadows, both characters have been urged towards hastening the awakening of their tomes and are tasked with discovering the secrets that lie within their hands.
Players can be non-human but will need to create a 'living grimoire' based on a mythological beast or entity of their own design, the themes and type of magic available will be focused towards the entity that was used to create their grimoire. This is an adventure story with a focus on character and magical development, the secrets of their tomes possess some immense and amazing powers but the sacrifices and prices that need to be paid in order to foster their growth are sure to bring many challenges before them.
I've got a general outline for the plot as well as some information about some end-game foes and challenges, but ideally I am looing for a partner who is happy to do some world building on this project with me. The core focus initially will be towards taking on quests that relate to developing the OC's grimoires, either through acquiring special 'materials' to feed to their grimoires or by coming to study and understand different aspects of the world that help the players overcome conceptual or knowledge based barriers to further understanding their grimoires. The grimoires themselves do not have be solely based around magic, for example they could contain the ability to summon different kinds of magically enhanced weapons, or possess the secrets of a form of martial arts and weapon techniques. Ultimately it is up to the creator of the OC for what kind of knowledge their grimoires possess. - Themes: Body Horror, Mutation, Action, Adventure, Post-Apoc, Supernatural, Gore
To be marked by a god in this world is the ultimate boon, the chosen become spiralling sources of power that is shared to their like-minded and faithful brothers and sisters in arms. In this world where horrific spirits fester and force their way into the physical realm as terrible monstrosities, the blessings of a god and faith in the chosen is believed to be the only path to salvation. However, there exists another path one that is shrouded by the veil of nature and hidden from the immortal divines. The path of death opens to those hollowed and emptied by the pains and torments of this broken world. In welcoming death into their heart these rare and heretical individuals have forgone their humanity and soul to be traded for an endless abyss in the warped shape of a what is now missing, constantly seeking to be filled the allure of consumed souls may fill that hunger but soon or later it will tare and be swallowed by the abyss.
This story is about heretical individuals known as the Desolate. Unlike the champions of gods the Desolate do not gain their power for the price of obedience and servitude, instead the radiating hunger of their power cannot be subdued and serves as their own chain forcing them to always hunt and consume more souls. You have been chosen by death to become one of its agents, its will and way are unknown but one thing is learned by all Desolate to be innately true. In the presence of the forces of the divine even deaths ageless hunger is stirred to madness at the scent of the ultimate forbidden fruit, the immense urge to consume that which is endless, to welcome an immortal to the abyss that is death.
Premise: Humanity has fallen to their new and powerful foes, vile and evil spirits that command incredible power. However, from this weakness new chains of servitude offer a glimpse of hope and a way to climb out of the darkness. But no matter how divine a god or their chosen is, the nature of death who claims all the living as theirs is not so willing to let humanity slip from its grasp. The Desolate are those chosen to become agents of death and will receive dark whispers from the emptied corpses of their foes leading them ever closer to the plot to 'save' humanity from immortality. Where will the scent of death lead and what is the true nature of these deathless spirits and the new divine heroes that slayer them?
In essence this is a dark adventure in a post-apocalyptic world, my character will be a Desolate whose lingering whispers will guide the characters towards dark truths hidden in divine lies. Desolates possess 'body horror' type powers, they have a 'resting' human form but once they start to fight they invoke the twisted nature and magic of the creatures they have consumed in order to temporarily change their bodies to monstrous forms through very rapid, painful and fleshy mutations. Your character can be a fellow Desolate, normal human or former champion of a god who still carries some divine power within them.
There are still quite a few points to flesh out for this story, but I have a few ideas that will hopefully work towards an interesting, engaging and mysterious plot. Nothing about this setting is set in stone, so if you've got some ideas or tweaks, shoot them my way. - Themes: Horror, Magic/Magi-tech, Gore, Action, Monsters, Dystopian, Guild
This is a lite adaptation of a solo project I have been developing, it is based in a world where humanity has all but been defeated. Now five prime bastions stand as the vanguard to its revival but with the absolute influence of the Rift Lords still grasping their world, this will not be an easy task. Our story takes place inside of a 'Rift City' known as Evo, it is an immense tower that reaches high into the sky and penetrates deep bellow the earth. Here humans are subject to sinister eugenics and an impossibly cruel caste system where those born with power and the potential to wield it are elevated to dine with nobility while those who are unremarkable are funnelled into a harsh existence of forced labour numbed only by magical drugs fed to the people by the nobility in order to keep them controlled and dependant upon the powers that be.
In this setting humans with the potential for magic are given a 'class', how they develop and change their class into higher forms becomes a prime focus of character development. Although the Rift Cities are safe from the hordes of mindless monsters that roam the open world, within their cities Rifts will frequently appear that act as magical gateways to worlds that have been conquered and corrupted by the Rift Lords. If allowed to fester these Rifts will serve as the main focus points of invasions into the Rift Cities, for this reason there exists large amounts of Guilds in every city that focus on not only closing the Rifts but also obtaining rare artefacts, magical materials and living samples to help contribute to the further development and safety of the Rift Cities.
However, not everything is as it seems as time and time again humanity proves to be its own worst enemy. The greed of the power hungry greatly contributes to a mounting presence of espionage, assassination and unethical experiments and tactics that are beginning to eat at Evo's foundations. But as time has shown in Evo's past, all it takes is one radical guild of bad asses to set history back onto the correct cause, of course that only comes after a hell of a lot of blood has been spilt first.
This setting has some fleshed out systems that I'll be more than happy to share at greater detail with anyone who is interested, but there is a large emphasis on the more sadistic and sinister side of humanity as Evo is a place where only the strong prosper and the weak are forced to bend to their will even beyond the point of breaking. My original intention for this story was to feature a 'shonen' type path of development, with characters becoming increasingly stronger and even reaching OP status but with new enemies and challenges that scale with the characters, constantly pushing them to break their limits. I'm not big on OP characters UNLESS they have earned it and this is the type of RP that with a lot of time, can be very accommodating to some extremely OP characters but only if they develop towards it within the settings 'restrictions'.
I have two general plot themes in mind, one is focused on a 'guild build', this is where we will work together to come up with a guild that will fit the setting and focus on adding a cast, increasing their influence and eventually establishing them as a powerful influence within Evo from which they will become the prime 'go to' body for addressing the big bad guys. The other path is one more focused on adventure, it involves a very loose guild build early on but will give way to more adventure elements as the characters decide to leave Evo and face the hordes of the outside world for the first time in millennia and maybe even make contact with one of the other five Rift Cities.
There is a lot of room to grow, tweak and change for this setting idea so if it has inspired a certain character, idea or plot that you are interest in playing out, let me know and I'll be happy to see where and what we can adapt! - The idea machine is churning and drafts are getting saved, more is on the way!
