The year is 2020 and the world still burns with conflict. From religious and ideological revolutions to all out corporate warfare and another cold war between the Western and Eastern powers teeters on the edge of going hot. The United States of America and The People's Republic of China are locked in an intense game of cat and mouse, both countries have deployed vast naval groups to display a 'show of force' across the Pacific ocean. Atomic armageddon is a button press away and mutually assured destruction is certain, should the missiles be launched.
With a possible third world war on the horizon, it's become a very profitable time to be in the arms dealing industry.
It's tempting to think of an arms dealer simply as a man or woman who can sell you guns and ammunition, and more sophisticated hardware when necessary. But a better way to understand what arms dealers do is to think of them as war providers. Whatever is necessary for your war, they can provide everything from tanks and rockets to planes, medicine, uniforms, and rations. Military hardware is purchased in one country, usually a former Communist country, where the military needs a way to make money and then transported by plane or ship to its final destination. Most arms dealers charter planes to ships and operate their own fleets; shuttling arms all over the world. This is one of them.
With a large influx of paying clients, FLI is looking to hire professional and mature (ex-military prefered) individuals to work as close-protection for their dealers, whom travel world-wide to consult, negotiate and transport the clientele's orders/purchases. Each dealer is assigned with not only their own protection detail but also a vast network of support equipment such as a helicopter, plane, transport ship or whatever is required.

Heyo folks! I've finally gotten around to making a roleplay of my own after planning to do so for many, many weeks. This one is heavily inspired by a series called jormungand which follows a international shipping corporation and illegal smuggling operation. They sell weapons in a variety of countries while avoiding both local and international authorities. The main weapons dealer travels with team of bodyguards, mostly composed of former soldiers. People that are familiar with Jormungand may see quite a few similar things here and there however the story here will be completely un-related. Our characters will travel all over the world but mainly around the Pacific Ocean and the countries nearby. I am looking for people to join in as personal body-guards for my character and travel alongside the weapons, equipment and other goodies that we'll be selling as company reps. If you have any questions then please do speak your minds!
The lore of the world will be expanded as developments in the story occur, depending on what happens during our missions.
(It's important to note that I am from the UK so time-zones will make things a bit.. tricky.)
Rules:
1). Please be respectful to others, offering constructive criticism on certain aspects that occur is acceptable but out-right picking fault is not.
2). A minimum of three paragraphs in each post please, the more content; the better. There will be no posting order but it's more important for posts to be qualitative than how many you can throw together.
3). No over-powered or over the top edgey characters please. Tragic/cliché backstories, cringy anti-social personalities and ridiculous badasses are a big no-no.
4.) To prove that you have read the rules and the basis of the lore. It would be very much appreciated if you could send me a PM and tell me what year the roleplay is set in. You are also very welcome to ask any questions regarding this RP in that initial PM...
