Annabeth was not feeling all happy and sunny today. This was the day that they would be planning for the travel to the middle kingdom.
"I wonder where my brother is"that was the only thing she could think about.Annabeth hated the idea of having to be arranged to a marriage. She couldn't wait to tell him about it and check on her garden. But for now she was in her Chambers with Irone(i-ron-e)her lady in waiting."Irone I told you I can pack myself"Annabeth liked Irone but they weren't very close.

Beau finished shutting the last trunk with a sigh. Given that he would be returning from the Middle Kingdom in time, his items only included a small portion of his wardrobe and absolute necessities, which still accounted for quite a lot. He wondered how long this endeavor would take. Queen Jade had been oh so shy about the details of these arrangements, a fact that frustrated the young prince to no end. Frowning, he made a move to leave his room. He was certain they would be leaving within a day's time, but he wanted to confirm the plans with his mother and father. Of course, they were busy with affairs of the state, and he wouldn't dare bother them now. Instead, he felt the need to check in on his siblings. All of them had bad habits in Beau's eyes, and he felt it was his duty to try and keep them on the right track that befit their royal status. He knew Hana was safely squared away now with Aster, so that was one less head to worry about. Whisking his way down the hall, he nodded to any guards he came across on his way to his eldest sister's quarters. He was halfway there when he ran into Irone, one of her ladies in waiting.

"Ah, good afternoon, your highness," she said with a bow.

"Same to you, Irone. Have you seen my sister? I wished to see how she was faring with packing and all," he said.

"Yes, your highness. We just finished a moment ago. She's on her way to the garden."

"Perfect! I won't take up anymore of your time. Good work today." They went their separate ways, and Beau made a beeline for the garden. He was quite pleased that his sister had been so on top of her duties, but that was not the only reason he wished to check in on her. None of the family had had much time to reconcile after the announcements. The King and Queen had said their peace before everyone was sent off. A milder chaos had ensued after, and so Beau had been able to talk to his older siblings.

The weather outside was pleasant enough when he arrived in the garden, and he laid eyes on Annabeth soon after. He fell into step beside her, hoping that his sudden presence did not startle the young woman. "Hello, dear sister," he greeted.

"And then Martha just went back to serving him just like her husband hadn't caught her and the jailor buck naked in the larder!" Milana laughed, brushing a few cracker crumbs back into the plate beside the tub. Aeryn, still in the bath, has long since told her friends to stop and come talk. Any last minute packing would be done in the morning, so why not enjoy today? Milana and Belina were sitting beside Aeryn bathtub, eating some of the snacks a few kitchen maids had brough up, and sharing stories of their home. Aeryn, in return would tell them some interesting or funny anecdotes about her time serving, training, and then one time, she some how got an army of large ducks to chase Deems. After a little while, their conversation would move once the bathwater would cool, Aeryn stepping out and just pulling the water off her body, instead of using a towel. Belinda made a comment about how she still wasn't use to it.

In nothing more than a satin robe, Aeryn sat down at her vanity, slowly drawing the water out of her hair and into a large pitcher while Milana looked for her hair brush. "So, I know the two of us are going wift you, but is anyone else? You don't have a lady in waiting, and you told your personal guards to a company Celeste until she didn't need them anymore."

Aeryn stopped, looking at the pair of maids looking through a chest, before continuing to run her fingers through her hair. "Lawrence is comming with me as well." The maids stopped. "Don't worry, it'll be fine," she said, the sound of water splashing echoing in a quiet room, "I've got everything under control."

Alexius

The light of the candle illuminated the paper on his desk. The scratching of his feather and ink dripping onto the wooden table. Taking a sip of his now lukewarm tea he sighed "Why so much paperwork? Half these things are the exact same thing but apply to each royal separately. Thankfully I only needed the signature of Deems for these to be valid. Still, I would like to catch up on my sleep. Maybe when we are riding to the Middle Kingdom I might fall asleep." He started to really think about his family and what would happen to them after the marriage. " Doesn't matter to me. As long as my sisters are incapable hands then I will be able to put my mind off their well being. As well if Deems does everything without a single problem then Parliment won't have my hide when I return." He knew that if he left for another kingdom like his brother so worried about the parliament would try everything they could to dispose of him, and they could with the amount of power it held.

That is why he entered politics, both for the affection of his father which he never received and to protect his family from having to fight with parliament after his mentor, an old man name Sergei who used to be prime minister and his father figure retired. Alexius had constantly been sending him letters until recently as Alexius was busy. Still, he promised himself that he would send the message to his mentor when he arrived at the Middle Kingdom. Then he stopped thinking about all those thoughts and started to continue his paperwork. Reading through what was left he quickly decided the best course of action for parliament to propose the base tax until the king returned and the allowing of open borders for traders under certain circumstances. He quickly analyzed how much would the country make by implementing a sales tax instead of a tariff and begun to work.

This was his art, each paper he finished was another masterpiece waiting to be seen by the world. After finishing writing all the paperwork the pot of tea had already been gone for a while and sunlight had been creeping through the door. He rubbed his eyes, yawned and in a tired fashion collected his papers and left the office. Looking outside Alexius could see the yard now more clearly as it seemed to be daylight. He could hear birds chirping and the hassle of the servants. Checking the sundial in the courtyard he could see that it had been 7 hours since sunrise. He had the meeting at 8 hours since sunrise and the parliament building was not far.

So, he ordered a servant to prepare him a carriage as fast as they could. The servant, of course, listened to the prince and quickly scurried out of the hall. Of course, he was used to this as not many of the servants in this palace seen him. Being locked up in his office and only leaving to rest, eat, exercise or leave for parliament. But that schedule was also disturbed by the elections he participated in. He was the popular choice being a royal and the apprentice of their last beloved prime minister, Alexius won with a majority vote of 35% of parliament (In Canada this would be a landslide win) this was good for him and his brother and helped a lot with keeping the liberty party in check.

Finally, when the carriage arrived he entered it and departed. The driver knew where he was going as there was one place he would go to during this time of the day. Alexius was too tired to start a conversation with the driver and instead looked out the window seeing the marketplaces, full of energy with morning stalls being open and many townsfolk trading goods. There was a national currency but with it fluctuating too much most townsfolk would only keep it to pay taxes. Alexius thought of a way to fix the problem, but his mind was still too tired to try to think.

He finally arrived at the grand building known as the parliament. Its arches where grand and the statues of all the famous heroes of old carved into the building. Being an old church it was repurposed when the old King, his father conquered the city, or so he was told. Anyway as he entered the building he would come upon a small room. In the middle was a grand chair meant for the speaker of the house and around it where rows of chairs and desks meant for the members of parliament. But right now he was here for only one man. In the middle of the room, on the grand table, sat a small, plump man. He was Count Illia Archenoplois, count of the north most marches and his representative until Alexius' return.

Walking up to the plump little man he stacked the papers onto the table and said in a heavy voice "Here are all the papers filled in and completed. I assume more work will not be needed?" Illia looked through the paperwork rather quickly, checking only for the signatures and writing. Though after everything was completed Illia said "They seem to be in order m'lord. I hope you a good trip." "Thank you Illia. Just follow those papers and everything should go smoothly." Alexius replied. Then remembering his brother asking him to retrieve him for the trip said "OH SHIT! Illia I'm sorry I must leave post haste!"

Illia nodded and bid Alexius farewell. Rushing towards the carriage he yelled to the driver "TO HOME! POSTHASTE!" The driver nodded and then pushed the horses to their absolute limit. Then arriving home Alexius rushed out, running towards the library only stopping once to order a servant to prepare his things for the trip as Alexius placed a note he had written beforehand to remind himself what to bring with him. With nothing else needed to be done Alexius finally reached the library, pushed open its doors and yelled "HEY DEEMS IT'S TIME!" both due to him being extremely tired or energetic from the prospect of not having more paperwork to finish he might have yelled to loud as he realized that there where more people inside of the room. "Oh sorry." he whispered and walked towards Deems saying "Hey brother. I'm here as I might have maybe promised."

Sir Lawrence Llewellyn

He was drunk. Now Sir Llewellyn usually didn't let himself get so intoxicated to the point he was stumbling over his own feet, laughing at nothing in particular but the half murmured jokes and silly ballads -- but this was his impromptu leaving party. They'd lopsidedly left the barracks, Lawrence dressed in an open gambeson revealing a white tunic that was half pulled over his collarbone and trousers with his armoured boots still on. The rest of his armour had been crudely piled on top of his bed back in the barracks after an eventful series of intoxicated fumbling with the buckles. Nevertheless, he was accompanied by a close friend who likewise shared a knighthood and a poor squire whose job was to stop them from getting in trouble. Not that he had much authority in the first place, equally in title and stature. He'd of only turned seventeen summers and already the boy was witnessing his future.

Law's arm was wrapped around his comrade, both of them carrying a flagon of scrumpy which had quickly deteriorated any semblance of normality. "Near Banbridge town in the county down one morning last july, from a boreen green came a sweet colleen and she smiled as she passed me by. She looked so sweet from her two bare feet to the sheen of her nut brown hair. Such a coaxing elf, sure I shook myself for to see I was really there--" The two of them slurred and grinned, pausing where they stood and craning their heads up. His fellow Knight, Sir William, rather known as Bill, pointed and arched his brows. "S'princess' balcony, got a lil' garden up there."
Llewellyn arched his brow, "Any man knows that, an' any man knows if he gets caught -- he'll have hell to pay, so what're you suggesting?"

William moved over to where the ivy connected to the wall and tumbled over, "Last days 'ere Law, you gonna see what it looks like or what? I bet shes got some real beauts for maids too--" Lawrence tripped trying to stop him and waved his hands, spilling cider across the lawns.
"You want to get us killed, Bill? Get down from there, by whatever God is watching I'll nail your ears to an ass and let it pull you from here to the East!"

Llewellyn in the attempt to capture his common sense impaired friend, began to chase after him up the ivy which began to loosen dangerously. Bill, taunting Law whilst Law cursed Bill's mother in a wide and colourful variation. As William tipped over, Lawrence tipped onto him and rolled backwards. What might've seem as hushed whispering was actually rather loud to anyone who wasn't as shitfaced as the both of them, devolving into squabbling and eventually wrestling. By the time they were noticed, Lawrence had William in a headlock and Bill was more intent on protecting his flagon of alcohol.
