lovers
fools on parade
๐ฑ๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐ ๐ฒ๐๐.
- Hello, I'm Blake. To introduce myself, I'm a nineteen year-old college student who goes by he/him. I've been roleplaying for more than a few years, and I've been a writer since I could pick up a pencil. I have many, many ideas, some of which I hope to develop collaboratively with prospective partners.
So welcome to my partner search party! Now that it's the Halloween season, I'm primarily seeking out horror-based roleplays. Psychological, slasher, monster, paranormalโ I'm interested in writing anything under the horror genre umbrella. If you have any original ideas coming forward, I'd love to hear them.
If you've replied to one of my former search threads, feel free to do so again. I'm open to restarting unfinished roleplays or creating new ones with past partners.
Please don't reply in this thread. Message me detailing what ideas/pairings/plots/etc. interest you, any ideas you might have, and information about yourself. You'll learn more about my writing preferences as you read along.
- โ โ ๐บ๐๐ Post Length. I'm a believer in quality over quantity. However, my starter posts can be quite extensive due to setting the scene and establishing characters. After the initial posts are done, I'll usually settle into an average of three or more paragraphs. Longer posts take me a longer time and have a tendency to make me burn out quickly.
โ โ ๐ฟ๐๐ Romance. This might be a horror-based partner search, but I'd still like to have a focus on romance. We can still develop the elements of horror through character relationships. While I will not write graphic depictions of abuse or assault, please keep in mind that elements of unhealthy dynamics will be present throughout. Codependency and trauma bonding, especially. If you're not comfortable with that, we can skip over it.
โ โ ๐ฟ๐๐๐๐ Pairings. I'm only interested in writing male characters in M/M pairings.
โ โ ๐ฑ๐๐๐ Faceclaims. I like using realistic faceclaims. There can be times where one or two will give me the greatest amount of inspiration. I've denoted such faceclaims below with an asterisk.
โ โ ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: Skeet Ulrich circa Scream (1996)*, Finn Wolfhard, Fred Hechinger, Alex Wolff, Michael Cimino, Christian Slater circa Heathers (1988)*.
โ โ ๐ฑ๐๐๐ Triggers. I don't have any triggers. If you have any, please let me know.
โ โ ๐พ๐๐ Activity. You'll be more likely to receive an OOC response from my Discord than my PMs. My IC replies are slower to receive as I do write several drafts before settling on a final.
โ โ ๐พ๐๐๐๐ Darker Themes. Be mindful that these plots will contain graphic violence (although I'd prefer no overly gratuitous gore) and disturbing themes. It is horror-themed, after all.
- โ โ ๐บ๐๐ Age. As I'm nineteen, and as this is a search with darker themes, I'd prefer if you are eighteen or over.
โ โ ๐ฟ๐๐ Faceclaims. I prefer using realistic faceclaims as a reference for a character's physical description. I would prefer you to as use them as well.
โ โ ๐ฟ๐๐๐๐ Manners. Be polite. I don't appreciate rudeness nor do I appreciate friendly ribbing from someone I am barely getting to know. Don't do it. Being rude is grounds for being ghosted.
โ โ ๐ฑ๐๐๐ Literacy. Advanced, preferably. I'm not grading you on grammatical or spelling errors, but I'm looking for a partner who's mistakes that don't distract from their writing. I'm also not strict on length; two or more paragraphs are completely acceptable for scenes with fast-paced dialogue.
โ โ ๐ฑ๐๐๐ Canon x Canon/Canon x OC. A note about me: I don't like writing canon characters. But, if I like a character enough, I'll create an original character who is closely inspired by them. For example, Scream's Billy Loomis. Since I wouldn't be confident in writing a canonical portrayal of him, I'd rather base a character very closely off of him (i.e. faceclaim, personality) with a few changes and a new backstory. If you're here for my off-brand Ghostface, don't be afraid to specify. If you're not and rather we go 100% original, I won't mind.
โ โ ๐พ๐๐ TOS. Acknowledge and abide by the rules of RPN. When you message me, include your favorite horror movie character to let me know you read the rules.
โ โ ๐พ๐๐๐๐ Plot. Plot with me. Share your ideas. Plotting is a two-way street; providing your own input helps create a story both of us are invested in.
โ โ ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐ Characters. I adore character-driven plots in the same vein I adore the characters that drive them. Bring me multi-faceted characters with an even blend of positive and negative traits who can develop impactful relationships. I have a lotta love for detailed, believable characters who end up deserving of a Pinterest board worth of memes.
โ โ ๐น๐๐๐ OOC. I want to be friends. I'd love a partner who's willing to communicate with and share stupid headcanons about our characters. I'm the type who likes to keysmash and text in all-caps and send memes that remind me of your character, my character, or our RP. It's one of my favorite parts of roleplaying. I'd love to talk on Discord, but I'm also good with PMs.

1994. 1978. 1965, 1953... Every generation, a new killer decides to wreak havoc on the population of Shadyside.
Meanwhile, the reputation of rival city Sunnyvale remains clean and spotlessโ no violent crime has ever splattered the ground Sunnyvale kids walk on, and Shadyside will always be known as the gloom-and-doom "Shittyside". (Canon-divergent; plot can be lifted from the trilogy, or we can come up with something entirely different. Muse A and Muse B are not restricted to being Shadysiders. Anything is possible here.)

What's your favorite scary movie?
There's hundreds of ways to murder anyone, and Muse B doesn't doubt that Muse A has thought of all of them. On the outside, Muse A might seem as normal and well-adjusted as Muse B. On the inside, Muse A and Muse B are equally plotting, conniving, and thrill-seeking teenagers itching for the first kill. To anyone outside of their private world, it might come as a surprise. To them, the escalation of best friends to partners in crime was unavoidable. (Interested in writing this duo post-murderโ examining their thoughts, shifts in dynamic, and introspection.)
