Probably not. Mew Cai had but one story to tell, and he told it. He ended in a glorious blaze of awesome and now frolics with the toasters, as befitting such a marvelous character.

Hadn't Mew Cai sacrificed herself for the sake of others, she wouldn't have become as well-liked. If Jukashi spared her, then whether or not keeping her would be better becomes a non-issue.


I'm pretty sure such conundrum is what brought the Fair Folk into the story. They like misapplication of logic.
