road shimmer, wiggling the vision
- intro.
hey guys, it's faust here! lately, it feels like i've been making more codes for rp than actually rping, so i'm here to change that!
—here's some things about me.
+ i'm 16! i know that makes some people uncomfortable, so i'm going to be upfront. no hard feelings if you stop reading here.
+ as for literacy, i like to think i'm hot shit since i've passed all my english classes so far. yes, i can read, yes i can write, i am the entire package!!! lmao anyway i write around 200-600 words on average, but i hover around 1k+ for starters, so be warned haha! but generally, i'm a quality > quantity guy, so i won't get pissed if you don't match my length as long as you give me something to work with.
+ i also love to chatter & make friends ooc, so i'd love to look for a partner that reciprocates! i tend to lose interest quickly if the ooc isn't popping and active.
+ in that vein, i am ghost friendly, but i'm not restart friendly! after a week of no contact the rp is dead. i'm chill as long as you keep contact ooc though, even if it takes 3 months for a reply!
+ i'm only interested in m//, f//, m/nb, & f/nb. no het, sorry~!
+ no doubling or krp, either. just not my cup of tea.
+ i can roleplay on threads, discord, or google docs!
+ oh, and i'm also in the EST time zone, so adjust your expectations accordingly!
—here's some things about you.
+ please be civil & ghost friendly! i'll return the courtesy in full.
+ be willing to maintain an active discord ooc
+ provide a writing sample (1-2 paragraphs is fine!)
+ be 15+
+ reciprocate investment, no one likes a one-sided ooc/rp!
+ listen to the playlists that i will inevitably make
—writing sample.
well, it's not fair for me to ask for a writing sample and not provide one myself, right? cyberpunk, academia, supernatural, high fantasy.
- rules.
—plots.
here's a table of contents of the following tabs!
i. high fantasy - ii. academia - iii. modern
asterisks = the role i play!
have a plot? i might be interested if it includes:
superheroes, sword & sorcery, dark academia, redemption arc, found family, cyberpunk (or any kind of punk), gaslamp fantasy, high fantasy, urban fantasy, demons/demon summoners, victorian occult, mythology, enemies to lovers, revolutions, mystery & conspiracies, surreal internet
—interested?
pm me with your writing sample, your name, timezone, and the plot you're interested in, or maybe a plot you think i'd be interested in! for sake of time (and my anxiety), i'll only be responding to those i'm vibing with, but i'll be leaving a heart nonetheless for every one i read!
- fantasy.
+ sun and sky. fae pirate king* x human captured from the lowlands. in which the faery courts aren't in another realm, but mere thousands of feet up in the sky. the courts are rivaling pirate guilds headquartered on floating islands. they raid hapless human airships and sometimes descend to the earth where they loot and terrorize the grounded population.
however, it is in the nature of humans to be dissatisfied, and unrest is growing in the lowlands. and it is in the nature of the fae to be cruel, and there are rumors of a new Wild Hunt sweeping across the floating courts.
and it is in the nature of fate to be unpredictable.
let us begin there.
+ heretic, glorified. a former champion gladiator* x her protege who betrayed her. in the land of the fae, there is the altare gloria, a glittering coliseum where unseelie and seelie alike watch as captured humans fight and kill in the ring for wealth and status. however, in the past years there's been a hitch: the champion just. wouldn't. die. it was a problem—no champion was supposed to last this long. the fights ended predictably, and the fair folk were getting bored.
the champion only fought for one thing—that her protege would never enter the ring as long as she kept the title (despite her protege's protests).
so they pitted them against each other. and her protege won. except she couldn't strike the killing blow.
using her hesitation, the defeated champion gave the signal for what looked like a timed mutiny, with a horde of gladiators and indentured servants escaping alongside her in a mess of fey ichor and screams, fleeing into the fey wilderness.
now, years later, the courts have had enough. the escaped humans had been causing trouble—robbing towns, hunting on court-assigned lands, and even killing landed gentry. it had to be stopped.
for the first time in centuries, a Wild Hunt was called to exterminate these human vermin.
and guess who's at the head of it?
+ ne puero gladium. orphaned heir turned rampant warlord* x trusted advisor plotting to overthrow him.
behold the unraveling of the heavens.
the death of a vagrant.
the demise of a revolution.
(note: this one is a storyline of expansive proportions. be prepared for a lot of plotting and subtle machinations.)
- academia.
+ hubris, the blood of kings. demigod* x human/demititan. the world of hubris is not unlike our own, but it does have one key divergence: gods and monsters, turned contemporary, roam the earth.
it's 20XX. there's the internet, phones—the world has made countless advancements since the days of old, where one had to send a prayer to make sure they lasted the winter. humankind no longer needs to depend on divine intervention to live—they have become gods unto themselves.
but every age, no matter how far-flung into the future, needs its heroes.
more lore here.
+ the brannigan society. scholarship student into numbers x charming one-percenter*. wreston academy is a lovely school for the offspring of the creme de la creme new york elite. our characters run a fight club there.
- modern.
+ KINGMAKER. highly wanted revolutionary with virtually unlimited funds* x grassroots presidential candidate. it's time for a new america, like it or not.
+ have you seen this (wo)man? soulmate x missing person*. set in a world where there's a moving soulmark on your skin that counts down the days until you make eye contact with your soulmate. your character makes eye contact with a missing persons poster and their timer ticks down to 0.
+ fancy suits and futuristic violence out-of-his-depth heir apparent x his father's right hand man* welcome to tabula ra$a, city of dreams, lean, and ultra-billionaires entirely funded and raised up by private interests in the middle of nevada desert. it's a cyberpunk hellhole of decadence and spatial inequality where the only real law is darwin's. enter muse a, a bastard of one of the most powerful men in the city, who wants nothing to do with his father and lives in the middle of shit nowhere, ohio.
except his dad is shot dead, he's inherited billions out of nowhere, and the whole goddamn world is after him, either for money, fame, or just sweet old revenge.
perhaps a combination of all three.
enter muse b, the disgruntled, cold-blooded, former right hand of his father who happens to be one of most cutthroat in the game, and the only one willing to guard the ticking time bomb that is muse a.
based off a book by david wong of the same name, and also CROWDED by christopher sebela.
