Julia

"Now you know who the chosen five are, who I decided to summon, who I chose to hopefully save the world. Normally it is forbidden for any outsider to enter this world, for this world is connected to each and every world's past, present and future. If this world, even this universe dies, then they all die but they will all learn that in time. First, I must tell you how I became to know of these five soon to be heroes.

Julia was in the library with Red and Julian. She needed to find a way to stop these cracks. Luckily none had appeared near the library yet but if left for too long they could easily start to. As she looked through one of the books she sighed and put it down slowly. There was no useful information about them anywhere. She had no other choice. Slowly she stood up and went to the Universal Data part of the library. She had only one option left. Once there she sat herself down. The cracks could be being made by anything and this world was dangerous as it was. Whatever was making these cracks were extremely dangerous. She needed people who were willing to fight to survive. "Bring me a list of everyone willing to fight for their or someone else's life." Suddenly a list appeared in front of her, but the list was way too long. She sighed and thought for a moment then spoke again. "Cut out anyone who does not have the power to do so in this world."

The list was suddenly shortened massively. Now it only showed a few hundred. She gave a sigh and nodded. "Bring me each and every fire according to the names listed." Suddenly hundreds of files appeared in front of her. She would read each one until she found the perfect team who could survive in this world and were willing to do whatever it took. Hours went by, the clock ticked away and one by one Julia got through the files. After an entire day had gone by, she had done it. She had her team, five people. Each one experienced in combat of some kind, each one having the power to survive in this world. They were her best shot. "Come on Red, Julien, we have visitors to meet."

Red jumped on her head and slowly Julia walked out of the library. She walked to a large courtyard outside of the Library of Knowledge. She already had everything she needed thanks to all of the help she gained from her allies. So, she began the summoning ritual, telling Julian in advanced who had helped her by going around and gaining some of the powerful allies and connections for the mission. She placed her hand on the grass and a huge summoning circle appeared. By name she called them out.

"Suiren, Leona, Ming, Cole and Swingley, I summon you all to the world of Azroh!"

With that, the summoning circle glowed brightly, and soon enough a huge flash of light appeared, so bright that Julia and even Red had to close and cover their eyes. Moments later, the light dissipated and Julia opened her eyes. She smiled brightly when she saw them all.

Cole Crawford

Some folks might claim that Las Vegas, Nevada had been a beautiful city that now lay in ruin but if one were to ask one Cole Crawford his opinion on the matter he’d say he barely saw a difference. The casino oasis had been the target of the latest Ether invasion, a horde of ghoulish undead had come from the other side and so the E-Team had been brought in and done their usual work of slaughter. Cole stood watching the lowering sun for a moment in silent reflection until he was called backwards.

“Oi, Cole get over here we’re tallying the score” Cole turned slowly and found the E-team circled around a small marble podium that had once held a statue some 4 hours ago. The military was milling about the place, searching for survivors, cleaning up refuse and keeping an eye on ‘their’ monsters before they packed everything up and headed back to lockup.

This was free time, and the E-team was very much getting into the gambling spirit.

Bruno had been the speaker, the broad-shouldered horned man held a clipboard he’d likely found somewhere in town during the chaos. “Yeah come be social, big guy” the smallest member of the squad, Laura, jumped in and waved. Cole made his way over wiping some leftover zombie parts that were stuck to his clothing.

“We got a winner so far?” Cole asked as he went over.

“Two way tie, 94, between Arthur and Claire” Laura jumped in pointing between the other two Etherlinks.

“Personally I think since it takes more effort for me to fight I should win” Arthur snarked, the lanky guy had his wings packed up behind him and scorpion tail wrapped around his body like a belt.

“It isn’t my fault looks can kill” Claire shot back, a blindfold covered her eyes but the nest of snakes she had for hair was making up for it by looking at the team.

“Well you don’t need to worry cause I’m a tiebreaker I got-” Cole began only for him to notice something off with Laura, her face framed by her horn and rabbit ears had come to attention, one white ear was held straight up.

She’d heard it first but an exclamation from some distance away broke the nonchalance between the E-team. Movement brought the group’s attention to what was left of the undead moving of their own volition, all in the same direction. Gunfire went up. “Overtime?” Claire grumbled.

“Overtime is right, hustle!” the commanding voice went over a communication device set up on Bruno’s hip. It was familiar, the voice of one general Barton. The group shared a look, Laura and Bruno took off to get some weapons and Cole just headed in that direction with the other two not far behind.

The sight was something new, a gigantic mass of flesh, one giant eye on its forehead. The beast was in the middle of eating a military tank while soldiers were peppering it with gunfire. “What the hell?” Was all that Cole said in relation to that.

“STONE IT! We need to get that eye on Claire’s level.” Bruno, ever the quick thinker, gave out an idea as he joined them. Laura was quick behind him, though she stopped seemingly comparing the size of her pistol to the size of the monster. “DUCK IN COVER!” Bruno was again quick on the mark as the mass began to fluctuate, always a bad sign when fighting a new monster.

It gave a wretch and the metal from shrapnel, bullets and a tank flew out of the mass and into the surrounding area and people. Bruno ducked behind some rubble, Laura teleported out of sight, Arthur took to the sky and Claire hid behind Cole who raised his arms to brace. The sound of clanking metal occurred as the metal hit his own metallic body and fell away harmlessly.

“Alright, stagger it” Cole decided, he leaned down to grab some of the discarded metal and downed some of it like someone would a saltine cracker. He took a deep breath, threw his head back and suddenly everything was gone. A flash of light occurred and he was suddenly somewhere different and decidedly more calm.

A courtyard with a bunch of… people? He didn’t know. Most didn’t look human, maybe Etherlinks?

That was less important though than stifling the fire that he’d been about to spew, he threw his hands over his mouth and choked it down. The action caused smoke to blow out of his nose and ears. He collected himself in a fit of coughing and waving the smoke his mouth was putting out with a hand.

This devolved into him quickly and incredulously looking around. He took a step away from the group he’d been summoned beside and his gaze went between that group and another slightly smaller one a bit away. “WHAT!?” The sheer amount of questions going through his head manifested in a one word exclamation.

Suiren Hasumi
The Swan

The air was crisp and alive as Suiren moved gracefully along the shoreline, her bare feet skimming the sand as the gentle waves lapped at her ankles. Her red hair, set in two low ponytails, cascaded down her back and swayed with each turn, catching the golden sunlight in fiery hues. With each step, she seemed to dance with the water itself, the droplets that brushed her feet reflecting her vibrant energy.

Suiren’s focus shifted from the vast sea ahead to the delicate patterns her feet left in the sand, the imprints quickly erased by the tide. She let her arms rise, matching the rhythm of the waves, her movements fluid and ethereal, as if echoing an ancient song whispered by the ocean. Each sway and turn seemed a tribute to the natural world around her.

As the sun began its descent, the warm glow softened her features, casting a dreamy light over her expressive face. Her gaze turned wistful, reflecting the boundless horizon as if she were sharing a secret with the setting sun. The red hues of her hair and the orange-pink of the sky mingled, enveloping her in a warm, ethereal aura.

She spun slowly, arms outstretched, and the world seemed to hold its breath as if watching her dance. Suiren’s laughter rang softly, lost to the waves but carrying her spirit outward, as if this moment was hers alone to keep, a quiet defiance against the endless tide.

But she felt her own body stiffen, hearing a sudden silence that wasn't like the one before overcome her. Any wildlife animals weren't creaking and croaking anymore, the slosh of water was barely audible, because in that moment she saw stars. Stars. Light overtook her body and swallowed it, as if making herself feel like the cosmos itself. Her mind returned to her when she found herself in another area. Like another world.

Her hair ties seemed to have fallen out from the dazzling impact, both fallen to her sides. She even caught her own body in a crouch towards a floor, others also surrounding in confusion. The last hint- or, well, clue that told her something wasn't right was how her ears and tails shown. She always managed to hide them with the slightest trickle of her ability, but now?

Leona

It was a quiet day for Leona with only one thing on her todo list to go shopping for supplies to prepare for the next job getting food and other camping supplies was pretty simple but unfortunately getting good quality gear wasn't so easy espespecially needed enough for a mercenary company it didn't help that Leona was new in town luckily every town and city had back ally dealing and unlicensed shops and she had a nack for sniffing them out Leona had just tracked down the location of a local arms dealer and was about to head over when there was a flash of light and suddenly she was standing in an open courtyard along side a small group of strangers and what appeared to be a couple of children standing in front of them after seeing the rections of those beside her it was clear they knew as little as she did about the current situation and strangely the only ones who seamed they might know something was the kids in front of them but they where just standing there staring at them slightly

"So you going to explain what's going on here or what?"

Leona spoke with an arrogant tone trying to appear calm not wanting to show any signs of weakness

Ming

Ming was currently on the battlefield. She slashed one of the Nekos and spun around, throwing her shield to attack and slash a few other nekos. She grabbed her shield again and went to block a fireball coming for her when suddenly she disappeared in the middle of the fight. She looked around now, seeing that she was in a courtyard with a few others. She listened to what they had to say and for now observed, trying to understand what was going on, slowly looked back to Julia. "Yes, please explain exactly what is going on. I was in the middle of a battle before you summoned me." She stood there waiting her answer.

Julia

Julia slowly stepped forward once everyone had been summoned. She gave a wide smile on her face as she listened to the questions.

"Welcome all of you to Azroh, this is the courtyard outside of the Library of Knowledge. My name is Julia, this is Red and this is my brother Julian and his companion, Pan. You have all been chosen. You have been summoned here because we need your help. I am sure you have noticed by now cracks have been appearing everywhere. Not just in your world, but in all dimensions, all through space and time. These are cracks in reality. By going through them you could end up in a whole new world, dimension, universe, literally anywhere. That is if you survived. by going through the crack, before you reach the other side, you enter a place of nothingness. In between realities and by going there it rips you apart and instantly kills you. By dying like that everyone who once knew you will forget about you like you never existed.

That is why I called you because we believe you can do it, we believe you can save the world before all of time and space is ripped apart. There is some bad news though, I'm afraid you will be unable to leave until you complete your mission, I will warn you, by summoning you here I and all of you are criminals. It is forbidden for any outsiders to enter this world but sadly, I had no other choice. We will be hunted, our mission will be dangerous. Let me introduce everyone. Cole, Suiren Hasumi, Leona, Ming an Swingley McJingley, I am sorry for pulling you out of your worlds, but I had no choice. Things are quickly worsening and we cannot linger for too long. If you have any questions please ask. I will answer any questions given before we begin."

As she called out the names she pointed to the person it belonged to. With that she gave a small smile, she knew there were going to be some disagreements but she had no choice. She hoped that these people would, in fact, be the ones she needed. She then turned to Julian. "Julian, were you able to convince everyone to help us? I hope the payment was enough for Miss Black, Red Blade and Lady Red specifically." She looked back at everyone else and waited to see what they had to say as well as waiting to see what Julian said.

"So let me see if I understand the situation first you kidnapped us, then you asked us for a favour, then told us we can't leave until mission us complete meaning your mot really asking at all because your not actually hiving us a choice then to top it all off us are now fugitives and if that wasn't bad enough we don't get so much as a damn apology let alone any mention of any kind of payment or reward what are we supposed to risk our lives on this dangerous mission just because it's the right thing to do? What are we all suddenly heros because you chose us?"

Julian

Watch as Julia performed the ritual and watched as the chosen heros appeared in a flash of light Julian stood quietly as his sister explained tge situation but then glared at Leona as she began her rant Julian clenching fist s was about to step forward when his sister signalled him to calm down he clicked his tongue and stood down

"Why did you even summon someone like her didn't you only summon home who where able amd willing to help"

Julian spoke in frustration emphasising the willing wondering how someone so arrogant rude and argumentative was going to be of any help or if she would even agree in the first place

Julia listened to Leona with a nod, understanding her point of view. She rose her hand to stop Julian before speaking. "I never said there wwouldn't be a reward. I understand what you are saying and, I agree and respect your point of view. It would be wrong of me to offer no reward or compensation for your help or for your trouble. So, first of all I offer my apologies. Secondly, I offer whatever you want as a reward. Gold, weapons, knowledge, nothing is too great a reward for saving the world." Once she finished speaking she turned to Julian and shook her head.

"Julian, she has a point. By bringing them all here, they are criminals. It is only fair that I offer a reward to those who desire it for their inconvenience or their help." She smiled politely before looking back up to Leona.

Suiren Hasumi
The Swan

Suiren slowly rose to her feet, tail whipping around just as angrily. She could've sworn one of the people brought here was familiar-but she didn't bother.

"But what if one doesn't wish to have something, nor help out? Or if you are unable to grant the reward someone may want? Now that isn't quite fair, so long if everybody looks it at that way. You make it sound as if you're innocent, but you also mentioned us becoming criminals. I am already partly, from running away from my home, but what if I wasn't? I didn't consent to being a convict, did I? Are you able to send us back to our world-or away from wherever this horrendous place is then?"

She wasn't necessarily angry, or against the idea of helping with whatever this...creature needed, but a little explanation and persuasion is what Suiren really seeked. No one should jump into a situation empty or cloudy minded. Not only that, how will everyone summoned here react when they are told to treat the others with respect-unless, of course, that isn't a requirement here. But that would also mean a fight might just start up, and who knows how it'd end.

Julia and Ming

Julia looked towards Suiren with a understanding nod gently before speaking again. "I specifically asked the Library of Knowledge to bring forth files of people who were willing to help and could help, and with my vast amount of magic, as well as the Library of Knowledge at my fingertips, I am sure I can grant any reward you mat require. I cannot send you back, at least not yet as we used all the materials and resources we had to bring you here. I was planning to gather the materials needed to send you back during our journey." She let out a small sigh before speaking again.

"Look, if I didn't bring you here, this world would be destroyed and all your lives, friends, families, everything would cease to exist. There was no way to contact you before hand. So I apologise but this world needs to be saved, otherwise we're all dead. So while I understand your frustration and anger and I apologise for the inconvenience, this was my last resort. I didn't want this either but please. Lend us your aid. If not to save this world, but to save your friends and loved ones."

Ming who had been listening nodded slowly and stepped forward. "If what you said is true, and you only summoned those who'd be willing to help then I understand. I may not like this situation but it seems even you had no choice. So, I'm ready to start whenever you are. After all, I don't want my own world to stop existing. I don't know about the rest of you, but it makes sense to cooperate. If we don't help, we're dead anyway from the sounds of it. If we agree to help then at least we have a fighting chance." After Ming stopped talking, Julia smiled and nodded.

Maeda Seiji

Seiji walked around Salazo the city of magic at times staring at the spirits around the town and at other times staring at the mages scattered around the place, Maeda could tell he was being stared at and unfortunately it wasn't because his family was being recognized. His family had been on hard times and fallen down in the totem pole of power, in-fact he's probably being stared at because he didn't look like someone from around here.

That would be true, after all he had only come to Salazo to start his journey in boosting his family name. He supposed that was the only good thing that the gates had brought if he managed to gain some fame the Maeda clan could slowly rise back into power, and the only thing he needed to do now was gain a team of his own no one becomes an accomplished adventure without one after all.

Kat

Kat walked towards the gate of Salazo. As she approached, she spotted Seiji and smiled at him. "Seiji, everything is good to go. Julia should be summoning our guests right about now if she hasn't already. If you like, you can come with me to meet her." She smiled once again, waiting to see what he'd say.

Suiren Hasumi
The Swan

Suiren contemplated her choices, the shrugged with a following sigh. She did have slight worries of her world disintegrating, but how did this being manage to get files of how 'deeply' she felt of world abomination. Maybe, the files came from the future, and Suiren would be a bit more passionate of life, but after running away, she wasn't sure. She didn't have much friends-correction, none at all, but did so happen to meet a fellow 'tigress'-unmistakably this here's Leona. No wonder she'd seemed familiar. They'd both been from Tyrannis.

"If you, Julia, speak the truth and saw right through the dark pit in me and somehow managed to see how I'd act in the future, I'll agree to go alongside you. But please note I'm doing this more for myself than anyone else here. I may not have parents that enjoy me being alive at all, but them being alive means a lot to me. If a soldier is what you need, a soldier I should be."

Suiren bowed in a swift bend, then went back into a more practical posture.

"And if I have to mention, I'd rather people find me human then a leopard. A snow leopard."

Her ears soon vanished with the trick of the light, nails once sharp before turning into a much more elegant version than -what some call- a rebel. Such foul language did not to be inserted in her own dictionary, even if it was a daily use word for criminals on the chase.

"As for introductions, I am Suiren Hasumi, going forth with the title of The Swan."

Maeda Seiji
1730246853438.png

Seiji always felt greeting the Lalafell it's not that he had any predjuce against them (of course not after all that would be unbefitting of a Maeda clan son) it's just that to put it simply...they looked like little kids and he had an unfortunate habit of babying them at times. Even though some of them where ten times his age he had an urge to protect them -and at times pat their heads.-

He looked at Kat and coughed chasing away any desire to pat her head before speaking up "Thank you for your help once again, and I suppose accompanying you to greet our guest is common courtesy so I shall come as well." He also had a feeling that some of the guests wouldn't take too kindly to be forcefully being grabbed from their homes. There was a nagging feeling in Seiji's head though.

Summoning people from another world was illegal for good reason, but this situation was an emergency was it not? The countless opening of gates where putting the world in danger and who knows who would try to take advantage of this situation for their own goals. Either way if they won and he was arrested he was sure he would be vindicated by history and if they lost...he didn't want to think about it.

"Okay let's head out."

Cole Crawford
Screenshot (759).png

Cole listened along to the explanation, his draconic eyes flying around as he did the mental math to understand the implications of what this all said. So this place was like the Ether but not and the world was ending, correction all the worlds were ending. He supposed monsters had gotten worse the past little while, he'd never seen anything like the giant flesh mound from before maybe it'd been from one of those or had just been affected by one of those things.

He pieced this together with his thumb and forefinger came together over his nose and it only got worse as the conversation went on. It did not instill confidence in the idea of working together with this brigade. He gave out a noise between a grumble and a sigh. Barely wanting to hop into the back and forth but going ahead anyway.

"Never been asked before on whether or not I wanted to save anyone so why should we start now? If what you say is true, sure I'll save the multiverse. Just cause my world sucks doesn't mean they all deserve to croak, but if you are making any of this up, ma'am, I will be... perturbed." The Etherlink was pointing right at the diminutive speaker as he spoke his piece honestly sounding more exasperated than angry despite the content of his words.

A spark of jealousy flitted behind the mutant's eyes as the swan girl hid her animalistic features but it didn't stay long. He jumped right into his own form of business talk dropping his previous frustration at the drop of a hat. "We can discuss my pay later, but right now I wanna know who we're killing and how much exactly you know about me." He was definitely jumping onto the payment train that the tiger girl had started. While he waited for a response he glanced around and added a bit more for the companions since introductions were happening. "Somebody already did the liberty of saying my name but if you didn't catch it you can call me Cole."

Julia

Julia listened and she nodded again understanding their concerns. "I assure you, I am not lying. The Library of Knowledge takes information from the Past, Present and Future. So perhaps it took information from future events Suiren. As for you Cole, I know your life, the Library of Knowledge provided me details of how you lived your life, any crimes you may have committed, your values, name, age, abilities, etc. It provides me with as much information as it possibly can about you so I can make an informed decision. As for who we're killing, I don't know yet, all I know is that the Dark Enforcers who are the authority and crime stoppers here will be our main worry. I'm hoping they'll see reason but I am honestly very doubtful."

Ming

Ming looked around, listening to everything before speaking herself. "Right, so if everybody is happy, can we go now please? I don't want to stand around all day wasting time when we have a world to save." She sighed, getting frustrated already as she stepped forward to stand beside Julia to show she was ready to leave and her impatience.

Kat

Kat smiled brightly and gave him a nod. "Don't thank me, I am simply trying to be efficient. It would do us no good if our allies are spread too far. Besides, I've done everything and got everything ready here. So there's nothing else for me to do." Kat walked to the gate and when she left she immediately turned to go to the stables. She walked past all of the Chocobos, a small Behemeth that somebody had raised and tamed, as well as a few other unusual mounts. Instead she went all the way to the end where her ride was at.

338ee32e3bb2509b24566d857ba82d15.png

She padded him in the head and spoke. Thunder, can you get us to the Library of Knowledge please? Thunder lowered himself down so Kat and Seiji could get on before speaking. "Library of Knowledge? Sure. Hold on tight. He ran quickly out if the stables and began to run towards the Library of Knowledge. After a few minutes of running, they left the lush fields surrounding Salazo and entered the vast desert.

Maeda Seiji
1730378835266.png

If you had asked Seiji if he ever thought he would be cruising through the air on a horse he would of course answer yes, a horse is a valuable tool of transportation; if you had ask him if he ever thought he would be cruising through the air to get to a magical library of knowledge in order to save the multiverse he would of course say no...funny how that works.

He grips onto thunder trying his best not to fall off. "F-fast horse," he blubbered out but he was impressed by thunder's speed they had already cleared the forest in a few minutes and had reached the desert fast they would if nothing interrupted them reach the library in a few minutes.

Leona

Listened to everyone's take on the situation but was surprised when the girl who has been curled up previously got up to speak

"Suiren Hasumi I've seen you preform on stage even met you after a performance though I doubt you would remember I didn't expect to see anyone from our world let alone someone I know I guess its a small world or worlds"

Leona then looked back to Julia before continuing

"OK fair enough you didn't have a choice and you'll make this worth our while and you even claim you can offer us pretty much anything we could wish for like some miniature genie but the currency of this would is likely worthless in ours and the value of things like gems tends to be subjective and based on multiple factors like size and purity so what are you offering power?, Gear? Our heart one true desire? I hope you understand saying anything is awfully vague and it's hard to imagine what we can realistically ask for without know the full capabilities and limitations of you and this library I mean I doubt you offer a way to keepbme alive if I overexertion myself and end up using up all my Aura because that's effectively draining every last bit of my life force out of me in that moment without allowing me to recover or it to recharge"

Julian

Julian began to calm down when his sister spoke he somewhat understood what she was saying but his frustration started to build up again when the other gave their opinions he seriously started questioning if tge library knew what "willing" meant he didn't exactly know what to expect from tge summoning but he at least imagine the chosen heros would at least at like heros and jump at the opportunity to save all of existence but he simply let out an exasperated sigh for now and decided to let Julia handle she always was better at dealing with people

The Swan

Suiren nodded, half examining the tigress again just in case she had the right person in mind.

"I am glad I haven't been hallucinating, but I am not so sure how we ended up in the same place. Fate seems to tie us together in some ways, though thinking about that makes me sound slightly poetic. And I have had several performances...before I had fled, so my own memories are mystified. I find you familiar."

Finding someone from Tyrannis was slightly comforting, but if it was one of her family members or the government members itself, Suiren was in trouble. She hadn't stopped doing what she thought was best for her, making her technically disrespectful to the ministers. That rule was outrageous anyway, all the citizens were on her side too!

Suiren wondered how negotiating everyone else will be, and what exactly their powers were. By the looks of it, some looked utterly weird, and Julia just was...well, she didn't want to insult her summoner in her own head to say the least.

SHORT...POST

Cole Crawford

The answer to those questions did not seem to sit right by one Cole Crawford. He'd expected them to be fair but that didn't make their confirmation any better in his eyes. "Alright, but if its all the same how about you leave the sharing of my personal information to me... Can't speak for everyone here but that is very much how I'd prefer it." He spoke those words and was very ready to move out moving to join the tiny twins and the wolfish kid. The cat women seemed to know each other which was interesting, he was kind of glad none of the E-Team got sent here. If it was a ploy he wouldn't have to watch out for them, same if it were true. He just hoped his sudden disappearance didn't screw any of them over.

It seemed like energy was moving towards moving out until Stripes kept on on the payment train. He saw where it was coming from but it still kind of felt like someone very vaguely talking to a wall. A heavy metallic clank went out as he dropped into a sitting position to wait for them to hash things out, resting his chin on a fist.
