It's not a huge issue, it's just the less you put into a post the more posts we need to cover ground, and when you only get one post a day at best that makes even small things take AGES. Don't wanna spend a month just getting introductions outta the way. That's why I push people to take a few extra steps than what they'd normally do, to maintain a good pace. And if you're hesitant because you're not sure what the other side will do, just ask them OOCly.
Really this is just general knowledge I push for forum RP. As 99% of the rps I'm in spend weeks on the introductory arc and never go past it.

By all technicality, Ava and Caster have already finished their intro arc and have moved onto plots. Course, from what I've seen of Fate, it feels like a series of side stories interwoven together rather than a straightforward story, so I'm not even sure if one could divide it into arcs.

I categorize RP's like this like anime. How much time of an anime would you spend on various things, for example. If you were taking everything we post and putting it in video format, how much time would it take? Like, for example, me and Misu's rp would occupy the first couple of minutes, probably the first 10-15 if you include all my lead-up.
So going by that metric, most RP's I'm in never even get past episode 1 before dying. That's why I'm always eager for consistent posting that keeps things moving at a good pace, because if you spend 2 months on episode 1 you aint accomplishing much at all.

Depends on how you want to structure the anime. We have 10ish main characters after all. Taking snippets of each post (narratively speaking) should add up to a whole episode. Granted, it may be a fairly boring episode, but I've seen my fair share of boring anime

Honestly, young Rider just needs to layer drama after drama. Guilt trip Vita for not helping to save the world. Crying should also be SUPER EFFECTIVE given Rider's appearance (assuming she 's the type for that sort of thing). Though tears don't really work on Dark Berserker Vita isn't the same sort of beast. Getting the mom on your side also works.
