Convergence 32
- .
- Long ago, the one known as Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg discovered the secrets of true magic. While the remains of his research are few and far between, their presence in this world remains significant. In a possible reality, not 10 years after the 5th Fuyuki Holy Grail, a group of renegade mages discovered a pair of mystic codes from his research and used it to do something unthinkable in the world of magecraft: They opened gates that would force leyline from multiple parts of the world to converge in a single location. As a result many areas where outright stripped of most of their mana, while places closer to this convergence where overflown with it. The group attempted to use the mana but failed to properly withstand such a massive amount of it, and thus instead focused on a kind of channeling ritual: The Holy Grail War.
While the mages association, the Holy Church and other such groups had their hands full just trying to contain the damage, the renegade's need for this ritual presented an opportunity to both be rid of it, and possibly achieve the dreams of the association in one fell swoop, but having their own candidates participate in and win the holy grail war.

Umu!
OOC: Welcome anyone still reading, to my little search thread. It's not a big thing this time, just something for a certain craving of mine that keeps renewing itself. I would like to try a fate RP based on a holy grail war. Pretty simple stuff, 7 servants and 7 masters in a paired battle royal (some exceptions will be detailed in the next tab). Epic battles, loads of references and magic, magic everywhere.
I am hoping for a partner that is friendly and passionate, not just about the franchise (though that is of course very welcome) but about our particular story too. - Just a little bit of information about myself, as this is a 1x1 interest check after all.
-Name's Idea, feel free to call me whatever you'd like, I like nicknames
-I am 22 as of 4 days ago, and a college student from Portugal.
-My hobbies including roleplaying, reading, some trading card games and consuming industrial amounts of anime and manga.
-As a roleplayer, I have been at it for almost 9 years and consider myself a detailed (some would say novella) first person roleplayer, a worldbuilding passionate and a planner by nature.
-My absolute favorite genre is comedy, but also in my favorites are fantasy, mystery, dice, VRMMORPG, and some anime-ish genres like magical girl and isekai.
-In terms of romantic pairings, I do MxF and FxF. I generally play female characters.
-I favor complex, concrete character sheets with anime images (which we will use for this RP, it is a fate RP after all).
- Search Requirements and Rules
1. I am looking for between 1 and 3 partners (if 3 we will treat this as a group RP with me GMing) who are willing to play multiple characters (cannon characters are not allowed, though alternate versions of cannon characters might be if sufficiently distinct in history and personality).
2. There will be a 700 word minimum per post, however I will not impose a time requirement. Feel free to take as long as you need to deliver the post. What I want are good, long, juicy posts.
3. The roleplay is to take place in "scenes", focusing on a certain set of characters at a time and then moving to the next set and so forth.
4. As I mentioned I am hoping for a partner that is friendly and passionate. I would also like this partner to be willing to do some planning as I would really like to bring out the potential of a fate-like story and I think setting up the character dynamics properly and maybe a key event here or there would be for the best in that regard.
Masters, Servant, and Other Holy Grail War Stuff:
1. How many servants / masters each person plays will depend on how many people sign up:
*If there are only two of us, then each will get 7 characters. One will get 4 servants and 3 masters, while the other will get 3 masters and 4 servants.
*If there are three of us, each of us will get 5 characters. Two of us will play 3 servants and 2 masters, while the third will play 2 servants and 3 masters. I will be one of the ones playing 3 servants here as I will be taking the role of the ruler we will add to this grail war.
*If there are four of us, then we will each get 4 characters. We will each get 2 servants (we me still taking that ruler) and one of us will not take 2 masters, but instead 1 master and 1 other character which will be discussed at that time. | Alternatively, we could pull an apocrypha/strange fake and have two teams of 7 servants and 7 masters, plus a ruler. If that were the case then we'd return to the distribution from the beginning, except I'd also be playing a ruler.
These distributions are of course open for some flexibility during the roleplay discussion.
2. We will share the true names of the servants, and their abilities OOC. Again I am willing to somewhat negotiate this but I a bit apreehensive about allowing something totally plot-breaking into the mix or a servant whose presence would irk me [such as inputting something that absolutely shouldn't be a servant, or trying to say you summoned a grand servant or something... ] would just leave me nervous.
3. I call dibs on caster, whatever the servant distribution we go with.
