Nellie Grey was born the child of a farmer, and, not surprisingly, she had problems. Ones her parents dismissed as "attention-seeking" One day when she was 17, Nellie had gone "too far" and stolen her father's sickles, intending to make her parents see her problems as real. As punishment, Nellie's father took the sickles and slashed Nellie across the face before locking her in the shed with no meals until she was allowed out. Nellie was reduced to almost nothing, having to catch and cook the rats and other vermin she found to survive. Withered, yet hardened, Nellie was bent on one thing; REVENGE. After years of fending for herself, Nellie's father finally let her out. He carefully unlocked the shed and called out to her. The shed echoed his words back, and Nellie remained hidden among the items that had been stowed away. "Nellie, you can come out now..." her father repeated. Nellie added a creepy effect to the resounding echo, making it sound demonic. Her father fled, dropping the tray of biscuits and gravy he had for her. Nellie rushed for the food, devouring it, glad to have a real meal after feeding on rats and roof leaks for years on end. Once she was done, Nellie picked up the sickles her father had used on her three years prior. Once inside the farmhouse, Nellie slashed at her father, killing and eating him. It wasn't enough, though. She hid again, waiting for someone to cause an echo. Her mother came down, seeing the blood, "Thomas?" she asked. "Thomas?" Nellie said with the echo, making it demonic. Nellie's mother gasped, "Who's there!?" Nellie mimicked her mother again, then killed her, cooking and eating yet again. This continued for a while; years on end. And she continued killing and eating everyone who came onto her farm. The land earned the name "Farm of Echoes" in the end, and everyone avoided it.
