CaptainMcNoob Ah, Vudukudu updated the Lore page with church info since I needed to know a lot of it for my character. I think he fits the personality of a "Pincher" quite well.

Or, reflecting on it further, could take it a step further. Was never a cleric, of any type, just called himself one to get supplies, money and 'favors' from people he met without ever actually giving anything back, a true charlatan. When he was discovered doing so, he bolted to the hills, quite literally, happened to stumble into a priest who was on his way to Gareth's lands to take up the post as the last priest passed away and, in desperation, killed said priest, stealing his belongs, clothes and papers. Presented himself to Gareth's father [or great grandfather] and just took over said priest's identity.

Has been living a lie for decades and has even started to buy into his own hype and power his position in the 'hearts and minds' of the people allows him. If you wanted to go a more darker route that makes your paladin further question her commitment to the gods and their flawed mortal followers.

CaptainMcNoob Don't feel like you need to turn where I left off on my post into something more that it is. Gareth can just get her some writing supplies and I'll make the next post about her getting everyone's information.
