  Summary: A rookie Pathfinder who is seen as a prodigy by many, Dylan is the son of one of the most recognised Pathfinders in history and now leads Pathfinder Team Alpha.
  
  Bio: The son and only child of esteemed Pathfinder Cedric Garrison, Dylan was born on the colony world of Providence when it had just been established. He spent much of his youth assisting in the development of the colony while juggling education at the same time. Due to his father's profession, Dylan rarely got to seem him as he would typically be exploring uncharted worlds many light years away, and also because his mother was busy with her own duties as the Director of Colonial Operations, he grew up with a certain lack of a proper parental figures, and thus had to learn how to take care of himself.
  
  As a child, Dylan displayed great aptitude in his studies, especially in the field of science and geography, so much so that he was seen as a prodigy by many. This combined with his father's reputation led to many of his friends to encourage him to enroll in the prestigious Pathfinder Academy, located in orbit around Earth, which he did at the age of 18. Due to a combination of his skills and the reputation of his father, he was accepted, although he disliked constantly living under the shadow of his father.
  
  During his time in the Academy he performed exceptionally well in theory classes and physical tests, and was a natural at navigation and leadership. These traits essentially made him an ideal Pathfinder, and also allowed him to graduate with distinctions. He would be one of the youngest Pathfinders to graduate at the age of 23. He was soon attached to the Pathfinder Team Alpha of the colony ship Far Passage, the newest vessel of the Far Horizons Initiative and chosen to lead the team. Some, however, saw this as nepotism due to Dylan himself being relatively inexperienced in actual Pathfinding, and as of now, his true potential will be put to the test on Acadore.
  
  Personality: Somewhat naïve yet determined and optimistic, Dylan exhibits the traits of an ideal Pathfinder, being endless curious about the unknown and the drive to discover more. When on mission, Dylan is focused and cool-headed, and his leadership skills means that he can naturally command his subordinates. However, his general inexperience leads him to make mistakes at certain times, and is occasionally unused to slang more seasoned Pathfinders use. Kind-hearted and friendly, Dylan naturally gets along well with everyone he meets. He somewhat dislikes being compared to his father, as he believes that it is up to him to forge his own destiny.

  Weapons and Equipment:
  
  • FN P197: A light and compact bullpup personal defence weapon (PDW). The P197 fires caseless 4.7mm rounds at an extremely high fire rate from a 68-round box magazine. It can also be chambered for a variety of ammunition types such as incendiary and explosive rounds. As a PDW, the weapon is extremely effective at close range, although it suffers at longer ranges. It comes with a reflex sight.
  • P423: An extremely common sidearm issued to military and security forces, the P423 is a reliable handgun that is easy to use. It is light and compact and can be quickly drawn. The pistol is chambered for 5.7mm high-velocity rounds.
  • Combat Knife: A standard-issue combat knife issued to all Pathfinders.
  • HUSMER Scout Rig: A variant of the Pathfinder Rig, the Scout Rig is more specialised for advanced recon, being optimised for higher endurance and agility. It is lighter than most Rigs and also offers less protection as a result.
  • Grapple: A device that attaches to the left wrist of Dylan's Rig, this Grapple fires a hook connected to a cable that attaches to surfaces, and can be used to rapidly get to high ledges and other areas, and can also be used to pull targets to the user.
  • Rapid Detoxification Device: Also known as a Toxin Scrubber, this implant rapidly rids the body of any possible toxic substances, essentially making Dylan immune to poisons and highly resistant to toxins.
  • R3X: Designed as a pet project by his father and further modified by Dylan, R3X is an advanced autonomous drone that accompanies him on missions. It resembles a large dog, and also acts like one due to its programming being based on the neural scans of Cedric's pet dog before it died. R3X is built for advanced recon, being equipped with multiple functions such as long-range scanners and communications. It is also capable of storing hazardous materials within its body, along with more mundane items. It is also armed with a small-caliber deployable gun turret that is normally stored within its body. R3X is equipped with a biofuel reactor that provides energy to an energy cell array, meaning that it is capable of eating food like an organic dog, though calorie-dense foods are more effective. Behaviour-wise, R3X is extremely friendly and loyal.

  • Pathfinding Prodigy: From youth Dylan has always been seen as a prodigy when it comes to the profession of Pathfinding. He is naturally gifted in engineering and navigation, along with science. This allows him to easily accomplish tasks given to him and adapt to just about any situation.
  • Improvisation: Dylan is incredibly good at improvising, and can come up with new plans on the go, along with using what he has around him to full use.
  • Leadership: During his time in the Pathfinder Academy, Dylan has displayed great leadership skills, and was constantly placed in command of a cadet team. However, he has never actually commanded a proper Pathfinder team now that he has been given one.
  • Combat Aptitude: Like his many other skills, Dylan has been shown to be a natural in weapon handling and tactics.

  Personality: Mellow yet temperamental and righteous, Elyscia is a young woman who embodies the qualities of a knight. This largely stems from her 'proper' upbringing as a child of one of the wealthiest noble families on Edreign and spending her youth learning how to be a knight. Elyscia is determined to prove herself as more than simply another noble brat, as many tend to see her, and also desires to prove that she is worthy of her family name. She also desires to bring good to the Stormcrown name due to how she views it as having fallen from grace morally. Elyscia is a naturally curious soul with there always being a sparkle in her eyes whenever she is interested in something, and will endlessly ask questions to find out more. She is also a tad bit hotheaded at times.

  Weapons and Equipment:
  
  • Faithkeeper: A longsword that has been part of her family's armory for generations, Elyscia is the most recent holder of the Faithkeeper. A blade forged from mythril, it does not dull or rust, and retains its shine, and can even glow in the dark. Due to its composition, it is also surprisingly lightweight. The blade itself can channel Elyscia's Abjuration magic to amplify her attacks or cast protective barriers, and can even fire beams of light from long range.
  • Dagger: A sleek dagger with a curved blade, this weapon is used when Elyscia does not have access to Faithkeeper, and is typically only used in emergency situations.
  • Equipment bag: Contains medical supplies, rations, and other trinkets, such as a pouch of gold.
  
  Abilities/Skills:
  
  • Abjuration: Elyscia's primary form of magic is Abjuration, and she is exceptionally powerful in it due to her family having been blessed by the gods centuries ago. This magic allows her defensive bonuses, and can shield allies from harm by casting magical wards. It can also heal allies using Healing Hands.
    • One ability unique to her family is to summon a spectral knight to fight on her side. It should be noted that while this spectre is superior to physical beings in terms of strength and combat ability, it can take damage like any other mortal.
  • Knight Training: Having been brought up as a knight, Elyscia is extremely capable with her blade, along with a variety of other weapons.

  Personality: At an surface level, Jackal is often seen as an man who understands the value of hard-work and is often seen doing something productive with his time such as repairing equipment, making explosives, or even taking apart tools and putting them back together again (after a good cleaning) just to pass the time he spends awake. He is also serious about the importance of his work as well, often saying that it’s “far more important to work than stopping to go on a break unless it’s for lunch time” and especially if it’s involving explosives of any kind... to which bothering him may actually lead to him accidentally setting off the still processing explosive and cover the room in ash. But outside of work, he is a pretty chill and laid-back individual, often a dude you can share a cold one with and talk about your daily life and maintain a proper conversation. Jackal also cares much for his brothers and sisters in arms greatly, often putting himself in harms way or being the first to breach a room, anything to make sure no one gets hurt. After all, it’s his job to be at the frontlines attacking foes heading his way... and having someone get hurt as of a result from it would certainly not sit well with him. It usually comes from the fact that his father had died in an accident all those years ago due to an mischarge of an experimental explosive being created for the forces of Earth to use... one that would be considered to ‘change the entire way ground battles are fought forever’, and he wouldn’t want to see the same fate happen to others as well....

  Weapons and Equipment;
  
  -PEP-42 prototype / Plasma Enhanced dual Pickaxes: (As shown in the picture above), are two Pickaxe Prototypes that he had helped to create, these tools/weapons are made of an extremely durable combination of metals to create something durable as well as something that can pierce through even the toughest of rock with little problem, especially when paired with his strength. Of course, an extra feature of the pickaxes allows him to create an field of plasma over the Pickaxe’s head to create an even deadlier cutting tool. With cutting edge plasma technology, slicing through metals and minerals is almost as easy as cutting butter. It can run for a time of up to 3.5 hours of constant activation before having the energy cells that help produce the plasma recharged. But still a reliable tool, especially one that Jackal uses for battle.
  
  -DX-12 one-handed shotgun:
  An one-handed double barrel shotgun like weapon... it’s more of the unusual picks for an individual to choose, considering the other options available, but nonetheless, one that Jackal thinks is a good back-up weapon in case a situation ever calls for a little more boom without toppling down the roof of an cave or building. It can take any kind of singular shotgun shell, but it is usually filled with buckshot. There are also other variants, either mass-produced or home-made such as Dragon rounds or “Jackal’s boom shot” that can be added into the gun, but usually he only holds both Buckshot and another shotgun shell type in battle. Usually paired with his pickaxe to maintain a sort of close combat specialty. Also, for some god-forsaken reason... Jackal has made his DX-12 compatible with .50 BMG of all rounds..... and even capable of firing it correctly from the barrel. Yeah, it’s best not to have him pull out this gun.
  
  -MG-52A Grenade Launcher:
  An common explosive firing device, it has seven barrels in which it can hold a wide assortment of 40 mm type Grenades at foes, ranging from normal HE and Shrapnel shells to even a type of shotgun blast and napalm... nothing is left unchecked when Jackal is the one pulling the trigger of this launcher.
  
  -Combat Knife: Standard issued combat knife... not much else about it.
  
  -Personally upgraded Environmental/Mining Pathfinder Rig: An Pathfinder Rig to handle harsh environments, it has been personally upgraded to fit the needs of Jackal and anything in order to help him perform mining operations and collect minerals for study. The suit’s many functions are; High resistance to both heat and cold and maintains proper temperature within the suit, an extremely flame/acidic resistant and durable armor usually meant in the cases such enduring fallen debris that could hurt or even kill someone, as well as unexpected fires that protect the user from burn related injuries caused by either flames or acidic substances, an resistance to high pressures, as well as a closed off oxygen filtration system that allows the user to breathe clean and fresh air even in high amounts of smoke, as well as increasing the physical feats of the user.
  
  -Demolition Expert’s Kit: An large bag that Jackal usually carries around with him, it has a couple of things within, such as spare shotgun rounds, grenade shells, as well as other items used like thermite paste to blast open walls or C4 to plant on an hard to open, to even breaching charges. Usually it’s dropped off somewhere in a safe spot considering one well-placed hit and the entire bag goes kablooie.. and not wanting something like that happening, he usually drops it off so it wouldn’t happen. He also can carry other individuals ammo or items with him if they ask him about it, to which he will happily oblige.
  
  -Standard Pathfinder gear: Smart-tool, field rations, medical supplies, etc.
  
  Abilities/Skills:
  -Close Quarters Combat specialist: Jackal was born to become a close quarters specialist, and with his durability/strength enhancing mining rig, as well as his main preference of getting up close to use either his shotgun or pickaxes to fight, he is easily a threat to not take likely when going to the frontlines of battle and staying there for extended periods of time.
  
  -Petrologist/Mining: He has a certain place in his heart when it comes to mining, right underneath explosives, Mining has been his profession ever since he first graduated all those years ago. Being a Petrologist helps him both understand and classify types of rock, as well as finding points such as pressure areas within certain structures and knowing where to exactly hit them in order to get his intended effect.
  
  -Demolitions Expert: Who wouldn’t enjoy blowing up an entire fort with enough explosives to render the nearby wildlife and plants missing for months! His most favorite thing and knowledgeable skill he has, he knows how to make as well as how much explosives in order to blow the enemy up skyward and back. As long as he gets the materials, he can make it... hell, he is known for making experimental types of explosives (that often result in failure) on his own... which is why most people don’t go to the workshop when he is inside unless they want to be covered in ash and smoke.
  
  -Maintenance: Well, someone had to carry the burden of fixing everyone’s shit once it breaks, and sadly, he was given that job of fixing things. While he isn’t bad at all, and actually pretty good at his job, he doesn’t like having to repair someone’s shotgun for the fourth time because they tried to “enhance” it without any prior knowledge... and forced to waste his time which could be better used to study minerals or explosives. But hey, at least it gives him something to do at the very least that isn’t standing around down nothing.

  -While he is not a frequent smoker... he does occasionally smoke a cig or two from time to time... especially when stressed o it as smoking helps calm down his nerves
  -Coffee is his go-to drink every morning as it helps wake up his ‘systems’ and get to work.
  -Jackal is something you could call a redneck, a man who likes guns and even bigger explosions... often taking the time trying to figure out how something works as well as the parts needed to make it.
  -Best way to make friends with this man is by sharing the same amount of love for either rocks, guns, or explosives and be a pretty chill individual as well... but he doesn’t mind anyone else, it’s just that he would become friends quicker with someone else who shares some of his interests.
  -His grenade launcher is his most favorite tool considering the ranged hell he can rain down upon any unlucky foes in his vicinity

  A member of the Hiaenyiir Bloodline who has surpassed Eshlynore's yearly-scholarly exams and graduated from warden training and Eshlynore's Academy of Magics through the School of Evocation. Ilya has departed her family and people to travel the world, seeking adventure and the opportunity to conquer her fears by joining the Wayfarer Guild.
  
  
  Bio:
  
  In the misty forests of Eshlynore, Ilya was born as the heiress to the Hiaenyiir Bloodline, an ancient line of Elven nobility dating back several thousands of years. The Hiaenyiir Bloodline is known for their unwavering loyalty to Eshlynore and the Exalted One, but they are most recognized for their renowned wardens. Unlike other Elven bloodlines, Hiaenyiirr nobles care little for Elven superiority. Every member of the Hiaenyiirs is trained from birth to become a warden, going through rigorous training and trials within Eshlynore's deadly bogs and in the Wastes. Because of their austere upbringing, this Bloodline's members have a humble nature and ignore, or in some cases, resent, the idea of Elven superiority. Over the thousands of years, the Hiaenyiir's Bloodline has also taken a controversial and increasingly popular ideology on the Exalted One and Archfey. The corruption and desire for power among the line of the Exalted One have resulted in stagnation, ignorance, and political strife. The Hiaenyiirs see the cracks forming in Eshlynore and seek change and reform, reigning in the power of the line of the Exalted One and their Archfeys. It is in this atmosphere that Ilya was born.
  
  
  At the age of ten, Ilya's parents sent her off to be trained as a warden. The wardens themselves are elite warriors and defenders of Eshlynore, able to counter and adapt to most foes wielding weapons with deadly accuracy and magic with significant control. Warden training is a rite of passage for the Hiaenyiir Bloodline. The training requires precisely 90 years of trials and learning among the warriors and wardens of Eshlynore. Wardens know history, magic, various forms of combat, monster hunting, monsterology, and survival skills. Due to Ilya's status, she has had to learn more than others and train harder. Such skills as etiquette, reading, writing, knowing the arts and literature of Eshlynore, and political knowledge, are her domain as heiress to the Hiaenyiir Bloodline. It was among the bogs and the Wastes, seeking deadly creatures and foes, intelligent and bestial, as well as in the cities and towns of Eshlynore, that Ilya was trained.
  
  
  Upon her graduation from warden training at 100 years of age, Ilya was given the freedom to do as she pleases for 200 years, then she would take up her role as heiress. Wardens usually choose to attend a university or become an apprentice, then take up a position within politics or among the wardens. During warden training, Ilya became enamored with evocation magic, plants, and their study, along with overcoming her fears. Ilya decided on attending a university and was accepted into the Eshlynore Academy of Magics, School of Evocation. For 25 years she attended the university and studied numerous disciplines but with focuses in evocation and botany. Unlike other wardens, though, after graduating university, Ilya left Eshlynore to travel the world to surpass her limits as a warden and to discover new floral and fauna she had learned so much about in Eshlynore. At the age of 125, Ilya had joined the Wayfarer Guild. For the past 48 years, Ilya has traveled the world and completed numerous quests for the guild earning her a reputation as an accomplished and veteran Wayfarer.
  
  
  Personality:
  
  The strict environment Ilya was raised in has resulted in her adopting a serious facade when working and in battle. Ilya treats her role as a Wayfarer with due diligence, respect, and cautiousness. Her role as a noble makes her seek to uphold honor, professionalism, and respect at all times; she takes the idea of Elves' ethereal grace to a whole another level. However, despite her icy exterior, Ilya takes on a foreign appearance with friends and family and when indulging in her passions. She is kind, loving, and surprisingly shy underneath, and with plants, she is energetic and cheerful. In battle, she is confident, cautious, and relentless with her great speed, precision, and ferocity; her battle skills and emotionless face while cutting through enemies has earned her the title of Sword Demoness. Out of battle, Ilya exudes intelligence, and due to numerous incidents with men and some of the same sex, she is witty as well as unforgiving towards harassment.

  Appearance and Outfit:
  
  Ilya's body looks like this, and she wears this under her armor but in silver with green instead of the goldish color. Also, her greaves are metal with silver and emeralds, not the ones in the picture (I do not own this image):

  Here's her armor; I know it looks heavy, but it's lightweight, and Ilya has had decades to train her muscles to deal with the weight. Also, the metal was made in such a way that there is little to no reflection. Other notes: her cape has a hood, her armor is more of white silver with emerald green, and the armor hanging down her waist would be shorter and connected around her waist to form a skirt of sorts (I do not own this image):

  Weapons and Equipment:
  
  Everywhere Ilya goes, she carries with her a pair of swords, a bow and arrows, a dagger, and a few miscellaneous items. The swords were awarded to her upon graduating as a warden, and Ilya duel wields them; they look fragile and perhaps impractical to a Human eye, but they were crafted by Master Smiths and Artificers, enchanted with protections and a nigh everlasting edge, with a weight and balance perfect for her. The blades are long, lacking a prominent guard, curved, sleek, fitted with intricate carvings, and exuding an air of exquisite craftsmanship. The blades can be attached to become a glaive or a makeshift spear when desired. Here is kind of what they look like, except Ilya's would be curved and have a shorter handle, among other differences (I do not own this image):

  As for her bow and arrows, like every Warden of the Hiaenyiir Bloodline, Ilya crafted and crafts them herself. The bow is made of mistwood from Eshlynore, denoted by its silver color. It is also adorned with silver carvings and emeralds, and a nigh unbreaking string. The arrows are made from whatever materials Ilya can find in the wilderness, but they are crafted by her expert hands and keen eyes.
  
  The dagger Ilya carries, her parents gave to her as a graduation gift. It is a beautiful piece of art with embedded emeralds, but do not let its fancy exterior dissuade you from its practicality; the dagger is sharp and enchanted the same way as her swords: with unbreaking and sharpness.   -Blood Mage Armor: Crimson Mages generally favor a modified breastplate with gauntlets and greaves to allow their enhanced bodies maximum mobility while protecting vital points. The armor is rituall forged from the mage's own blood and that of some powerful beast they have slain as the final act of their trials in the Crimson Order to complete their apprenticeships. Thalarion slaughtered a powerful bear terrorizing the mining the village of Salgo. The Bear of Salgo was rendered down, its blood used quench the armor, its hide used as the armor's leathers after being treated in the blood oils made from the beast and Thalarion. The process leaves a Blood Mage weakened for over a month, recovering their strength even as their armor attunes to them to allow them easier usage in combat.

  -Blood Magic: A hybrid of Necromancy and Transmutation. Blood mages are rare and dangerous, favoring close combat and grappling to ensure they can inflict maximum damage and effect. A blood mage is equally dangerous simply because they use their art to physically enhance themselves or those who serve them. No member of the Crimson Order looks like the did when the joined. Most are known for being statuesque and imposing in appearance whether male or female. Blood Magic tends to be debilitating but hosts tricks seen in its two origins schools, if focused on the usage of blood, whether the mage's or his foe's.
  
  -Crimson Order Brawling - Crimson Mages eschew weapons, hardening their flesh and blows to be able to lay low armored foes even. They pride themselves on never wielding a blade when possible, favoring pummeling their foes and grappling them. Once a Crimson mage makes skin contact with an enemy, their true troubles start. Crimson Order Brawling is well known and even practiced outside of the order simply for its effectiveness.   Bio: The number of planets Grissom have been on far exceeds the multitude of prototype combat-enhancing drugs that have been pumped into his body throughout his long and combat-filled career. Something of a time capsule, Grissom is from a time where CNE Colonial Defense Forces were needed to repel hostile wildlife, radicalized freedom fighters and anti-CNE-minded insurgents. If you've read about it on your tablet or seen it on the HoloVids there's a good chance Grissom was there in person surrounded by mud, shell casings and the blood of his comrades.
  
  After twenty years of service Grissom retired to the private sector, running threat assessments for wealthy magnates and politicians on distant colonies far away from the safety of Humanity's cradle. He was eventually roped back into the CNE by none other than the Garrison family; Having served with Dylan Garrison's mother years prior she recommended him into the Pathfidner Academy where Cedric Garrison would vouch for him.
  
  Despite his age Grissom managed to score well on most tests, most likely thanks to his decades of experience. Because of his previous experience as a squad leader it was no surprise that Grissom would eventually oversee the training of new recruits and to this day he's helped train several generations of Pathfinders for the CNE in tactics, warfare and on a variety of weapon systems.
  
  When the Far Passage mission required Pathfinders, new and old, Grissom volunteered despite having a mere four years left before retirement. One reason was the same drive he had when he was younger- the drive to see new alien worlds- but another reason was to pay back the debt he owed to the Garrison family, helping to keep their son safe no matter what happens.
  
  Personality: Rough around the edges, Grissom isn't exactly known to be 'soft'. Years of life on the frontlines have made his humor crude and sometimes borderline offensive. He's allergic to politics, bullshit and political bullshit. If you cross him he'll call you out on it in the loudest way possible in a instructor-like fashion.
  
  Out on the field Grissom is in his forte; Calling out orders on the fly, checking in with his troops and relaying intel up the chain of command. He'll always make an effort to bring everyone back safely- even those that he dislikes.

  Model 17B 'Mule' Handcannon:
  The workhorse of a less civilized time the Model 17B Handcannon used to be standard-issue with most frontline forces and was more than capable of piercing through the then-standardized plate armors used by both CNE and other non-CNE paramilitary forces. It's still in use by veterans throughout the CNE because of its trusted low-maintenance design and excellent stopping power regardless if you're pacifying pesky protesters or engaging hostile wildlife charging towards you.
  
  Type 111X Modular Assault Rifle:
  Martian export-design famous for its modular and adaptable design. Can be fitted with various attachments such as a range of scopes, extended magazines, barrel and muzzle attachments as well as underbarrel grenade launchers, grips and IR-lasers used for guiding in air strikes.
  
  Svensson & Svensson Rotary Assault Weapon (RAW):
  Expensive and very, very impractical the S&S RAW is a minigun-style automatic weapon chambered in 12.7 caseless armor-piercing ammunition which functions on a rotary-barrel principle to hurl several hundred rounds down range a minute. It is belt-fed, has extreme recoil and weighs a great deal making it useless in the hands of anyone but a Pathfinder.
  
  CNE Colonial Defense Force Implants:
  Implants that are almost as old as Grissom himself, this wide assortment of muscular and neurological implants were tested on a small batch of CNE troops to raise combat effectiveness out in the field. In Grissom's case they mostly increase his strength, dexterity and perception while in adrenaline-fueled situations though in this day and age there are more modern variants of the implants that are far more effective than the prototypes installed on Grissom.
  
  Pathfinder Heavy-Class Powered Armor:
  A specialized variant of a more heavier and sturdier Pathfinder armor Grissom's personal suit of powered armor was designed with frontline combat in mind, capable of sustaining more damage from projectile weapons and shrapnel while also fitted with better shock absorption and the ability to "lock" the legs in position to reduce recoil during continuous fire with heavy weaponry.
  
  Abilities/Skills:
  
  Veteran: Because of his extensive combat experience Grissom is relatively unfazed by the sounds and horrors of war. Some would argue that he performs better on the field than he does socially.
  
  Swiss Multitool: Fitted with the knowledge of dozens of wars and conflicts Grissom is capable of finding tactics for almost any situation on the ground and will always strive to turn the odds in his favor.
  
  Munitions Expert: Trained on nothing short but a couple of hundred weapon systems coupled with his own love for large-caliber weapons makes Grissom a dangerous adversary when armed with heavy and/or explosive weaponry.

  Bio: Manufactured by the Kalashnikov Concern as an experiment to attempt to create androids using detailed scans of human brains usually used for neural implants to create artificial ones contained in programs. In total 120 attempts were made in order to successfully create artificial intelligence capable of demonstrating enough intelligence to meet their requirements and an estimated 1.5 billion credits wasted. In total 1 was successfully created and promptly attempted to replicate. Soon coming to the realization of how inefficient cost-wise the program was the chief of the board of directors swiftly shut down the program but first outfitting the one successful model code-named " Катерина " and sold.
  
  Personality: Though somewhat cold on the outside, Katerina often is seen as overly dedicated to accomplishing the mission through any means necessary. However, upon taking a closer look at her actions Katerina or "Kate" as she is sometimes called is honestly just unsure of what else to do but accomplish the mission mainly because she is pretty awkward when it comes to interacting with organic beings and usually gravitates to modifying guns or attempting to modify herself instead of conversing with the other pathfinders in a slightly fearful state that all she'll probably do is annoy all of them. In terms of taking and receiving orders Katerina often and most logically hold orders from the highest-ranking unit to the lowest ranking unit in the appropriate order with the highest unit taking the most priority and often maintains an immense loyalty as to whoever is in charge. In terms of feelings, however, Katerina is indeed capable of successfully simulating emotions and pain. The reason for implementing emotions stems from the fact that having a machine capable of fooling a human would make it a valuable asset for undercover missions to avoid suspicion. The reason for adding the ability to feel pain or a similar feeling however stems from the idea which is that a unit that can feel pain is more likely to act like a human in certain scenarios but more importantly have a sense of self-preservation for itself focusing rather on making sure that it's unit stays protected as much as the rest of the team. However, a side note of this feature as even though the Kalashnikov Concern did intend for these two features to be in use for most of the units operational time both can be disabled by a high enough ranking officer if the order is given or if any unit is given access to Katerina's A.I. Similarly, simulated biological functions close to those of the human body such as sneezing but can also be disabled. The only essential function which has some ties to humans which cannot be disabled is Katerina's cooling system which cycles similar to the human body by taking in and expelling air or other gasses to provide cooling through her mouth and nose.

  AK-218 Modular Assault Rifle - Built and continued from the original AK-47 the Kalashnikov Concern has far improved its designs but has kept the original iconic banana magazine and continued to keep the same amazing reliability the company has always been renowned for. Along with that, however, the rifle has been customized from its original form to link and feed data to Katerina establishing a one-way secure link between her and the weapon.

  P525X Modular Compact Pistol - Premium pistol favored by Special Ops for its high level of customizability but adapted by Katerina for use in combat. The gun features many customizable settings and attachments which are monitored and controlled through a one-way link feeding her data when needed. Along with that, the gun has been modified to accept a variety of specialized ammo for different uses by Katerina herself.

  Combat/Utility Knife - Standard Issue Utility Knife
  
  K305 - Designed and programmed by Katerina herself K305 is mostly an autonomous stealth operation drone but can also be controlled by Katerina should it be necessary. The drone itself, features 3 rotating illuminated blades, a single photoreceptor that triples as both the photoreceptor, a connector port, and a laser cutter using a single very close range high-powered laser to focus at one spot. Along with that is a snakelike body which consists of small metal plates allowing it to move similar to a snake with the extra benefit of being able to drill into the ground or other substances. In terms of offensive capabilities, K305 has its 3 blades and the concentrated laser despite its short range. However, the main benefit of the drone is for reconnaissance and hacking as the drone can attach itself to technology and access its data by using a mix of malware and trojan software.

  External Automata Enhancement System ( EAES ) - Manufactured specially by the Kalashnikov Concern as a HUSMER for an android and Katerina in particular. In usage, the EAES conceptually identical to a HUSMER Rig. However, since it was manufactured with automata in mind, the suit has many features that differ from a standard HUSMER suit along with some additions and drawbacks which come with it. Katerina's EAES has been designed to initiate a two-way connection between her and the suit essentially allowing her to operate it as an extension of her body. However, a negative drawback one might see is that EAES cannot work with humans or other automata it has not been designed for due to some of the ways it links with the user. The suit is for the most part self-sustaining with a primary and backup energy source which can be replenished by charging, solar power, or creating a shared energy bank with the automata piloting it. Some features Katerina's EAES has been equipped with include A processer booster allowing for faster calculations, more memory storage, and many offensive capabilities designed to integrate with Katerina. Some notable features of the EAES include an integrated support A. I named XA-5 or as Katerina calls her "Mum" stemming from the fact that XA-5 is a support A.I designed to protect and aid her on missions. When the suit is not in use but still assembled XA-5 can use the suit as a "body" and control is similar to a normal machine. XA-5 is programmed with many programs to aid and protect Katerina when on the field. In terms of transportation and ease of use the EAES can be compacted into a backpack and put on without external help in about 5-10 minutes, it should also be noted that Katerina often ops not to keep the suit active and instead keep it in her backpack due to energy saving. The suit itself also carries a single AK-89 assault rifle. A rifle specially designed for HUSMER or EAES due to its high recoil. The AK-89 is a high fire rate heavy assault rifle.   Bio:
  
  Born on the planet of New Japan, commonly called Neo-Japan by its colonists, Kitamière grew up in the walled city of New Tokyo with his French father and Japanese mother. Due to the planet's high concentration of predacious wildlife, colonists chose to live within walled cities and are required to learn to defend themselves. Unlike other colony worlds, New Japan didn't restrict human genetic alteration, and Kita's parents, like many others living in the harsh world, decided to give their son the best advantages money could buy. As biologists, Kita's parents were well-off, but money wasn't something they coveted; to them, Kita was worth more than anything. So, they paid for the best enhancements and alterations their money could buy. Because of his genetic alterations and seemingly ethereal appearance, Kita's childhood consisted of bullying and isolation. To Kita, though, isolation was a gift; he loved having free time to do as he pleased as curiosity was his muse. Whether it be his carefree attitude or youthful ignorance (the former), Kita paid his bullies no heed and took to doing as he pleased. He loved himself and his parents' gifts to him; no one could make him feel bad for them.
  
  At the age of four, like other kids his age, Kita began learning and training. His parents enrolled him in Neo-Tokyo's Academy of Martial Arts, both as a recreational activity and to help him defend himself from people and the predators outside the walls. Until he was 10 years old, Kita never left New Tokyo's walls, but being the daring and extremely curious child he was, he couldn't resist the pull of adventure and convinced his parents to take him with them when they went on biological missions outside the wall but close enough to the city to be safe. The outside was everything Kita dreamed of and more. It was this trip that sparked his interest in botany and led him to work alongside his parents as he grew. Despite his lonely childhood, Kita was very productive and lived a busy life, from martial arts tournaments and studying to exploring and working with his parents, he was always on the go. Due to his genetic enhancements, upbringing, natural talent, and other things, Kita graduated from secondary school at the age of thirteen. At this age, Kita had won an inter-planetary martial arts tournament, among others, and his passion for botany was ever-present. His defense training even saw him shining as a marksman.
  
  Following his graduation, he was admitted into Neo-Tokyo University's College of Science where he spent the next 5 years obtaining his bachelor's then master's degrees, first in biology then with a concentration in Xenobiology, specifically Xenobotany. Kita spent his time at university in a marksman club and in the Neo-Japan Self-Defense Force where he quickly became an accomplished sniper and scout. At the age of 18, Kita's desire to find new plants and see new worlds led him to apply to become a Pathfinder. He was accepted, and as a gift, his parents bought him two modern katanas. The next six years of his life were intense and saw Kita excelling through the program and the Crucible before graduating as a Pathfinder. The three years after he became a Pathfinder, Kita traveled the galaxy helping to colonize Humanity's new worlds. The Pathfinder Academy helped fund his doctorate in Xenobiology when he began working as a licensed Pathfinder, and at the age of 26, he held the title of Doctor. He was able to contribute extensively to the field of Xenobiology through his findings and subsequent research papers while traveling as a Pathfinder. His credentials led him to be selected and assigned to the Far Passage, where he is now.

  Kita may seem clueless, but he's just feigning it. He is very observant and curious but a bit sarcastic and cynical about life. However, deep down, he's quite vulnerable and kind but he'll never let anyone see that side of him, except for family and friends. When needed, he can be serious, but if alien plants and animals are involved, his love and joy for his passion will seep through. In a fight, Kita is brutal; he'll try to end the fight and all others afterward. His personality takes a complete 180 when in battle as he'll become serious, determined, and solely focused on the fight.

The whole suit is fitted to be as quiet as possible with noise-canceling, making the armor produce minimal sound; walking on a metal or rocky surface, the suit sounds uncannily silent. Hidden in the elbows, knees, heels, and toes are retractable knives for hand-to-hand combat as well. The helmet has been retrofitted to provide the wearer with an unprecedented amount of visual information with things such as thermal and night visions. Arguably the suit's most appealing feature is its survivability features allowing for the user to spend extended periods of time inside the armor. The suit is fully self-sustaining, able to use solar, water, and energy power, all that is needed is one of those sources. There is even a feature for waste excrement and in-house water retrieval and feeding. The suit's drawbacks are its lack of proper shielding both physically and in the form of energy. However, the excess weight enables the addition of the suit's other features. Tools and weapons are able to be magnetically attached or detached from the armor in certain spots, allowing for easy holstering. One other feature is the suit's ability to be used in extreme environments such as in space, below 0 Celsius and above 50 Celsius temperatures, and in non-breathable atmospheres.

  Bio: Born to a military family, she was surrounded with the expectation to join the CNE military as early as she could. For as long as she could remember, her family was incredibly proud of their lineage as a producer of some of the finest soldiers for CNE, having both her parents and older brothers in prestigious positions in the military thanks to their achievements. For the longest time, she was molded as one of them, her personality taking the brunt of it all from being a usually silent bookworm that enjoyed science and reading to a loud, sarcastic, and rude woman by the time she hit high school. However, despite the shift, her passion towards medicine never did waver, not even when her parents sent her off to the military. She had a deep respect for the people that came into the occupation, especially when she was there alongside her family when their grandfather was being tended to several combat medics that managed to save his life. However, she had overheard her parents and brothers talking about the medics with a condescending tone, referring to these people are fake soldiers that hide behind the real people serving the nation. Telling her family that she intended to become one seemed like a bad idea at the time, one that she rightfully predicted later down the line.
  
  Five years in the military, she was inevitably recruited and trained to become one CNE's elite Special Forces, a combat medic more specifically, no doubt because her godmother was kind enough to ask the right people that she'd much rather be saving lives than hurt them. The training to become SF was a grueling and arduous task, especially since the CNE didn't skimp on training just because she was also trained as a medic. The CNE prided themselves with creating the best and that meant being strained through collegiate and doctoral levels of education alongside combat and survival training. The courses were accelerated, but expected results befitting of a medical professional that dedicated themselves on this singular subject. It was harsh. A relentless combination of brutal training and merciless critique of her medical knowledge that nearly pushed her to the edge. Many times had she wished she quit, but that also meant wasting the effort and time that she invested in achieving her desired job while keeping her family appeased by becoming a Special Forces Operative of CNE.
  
  In the end, she achieved her goal, earning a spot as one of the many elite soldiers under the CNE. From there, she received the necessary augmentations and implants then deployed for roughly two and a half years as part of a squad that tracked down and eliminated outposts of pirates within the borders of the nation before returning to Earth. She did not visit her parents, especially after the several calls she received from them, the messages being incredibly toxic and derogatory; words that demeaned the hard work she went through to become more than just a soldier. For a few months, she simply cruised with the payment she received from the military, until she saw an opportunity to get away from it all.
  
  For many, the Pathfinders were the cream of the crop, the adventurers that risked themselves to explore the outer reaches of the frontier for humanity. People far and wide were tested to see if they were worthy of becoming one themselves. Those that became one were the geniuses, the talented, the best humanity could ever hope to create. Amelia was confident, at least for a time. The tests were definitely one of the hardest things she's endured, but nothing she hasn't seen before. Her strict military background definitely gave her an edge in this, but was nonetheless a commitment of her time and energy before she can compare to some others have to offer. It was, so to say, a humbling thing to see, watching other cadets struggling like her in the tests; wading through the harshness of every obstacle, but coming out on top. It gave her a sense of camaraderie with them, much like her brothers and sisters in the military. Now part of the Pathfinders, she could leave behind the environment she was born into and make a life of her own in the stars.
  
  Personality: Snarky and rude, Amelia is a person that comes off as a bit of an asshole due to how she speaks to others. Born of such a household, she's the product of her environment thus her incessant frequency to be sarcastic. Crude at times and easily irritable, she still considers the Pathfinders as comrades-in-arms and expresses it through the only way she's comfortable with, by throwing insults and scathing words. Her words may not match her actions, but she does genuinely care about others, but she also isn't one to coddle or help people who are capable. Amelia has a strong belief that people are capable of achieving anything through hardship and challenges, one that she knows personally well. She may seem unmotivated at times, preferring to lay around the ship or in her office, but she's pretty passionate when it comes to the well being and health of her fellow Pathfinders, and will do everything she can to keep them alive.

  XCM-17 Thunderbolt: The Thunderbolt Heavy Assault Rifle is a smart rifle meant to serve in heavy infantry battalions. State of the art smart technology is integrated within the weapon system itself, calibrated specifically to each user's specification for optimized performance. This includes direct smart link into optics to provide full information of weapon status including ammunition count and predictive bullet trajectory. True to its name, the XCM-17 is designed to fire high-explosive armor piercing rounds for maximum damage at medium range with moderate recoil, but can be substituted for the faster AP rounds to act as a low recoil marksman rifle while retaining its effectiveness against light armor and cover.
  
  SRS-52 Tundra: An advanced smart SMG with specialized bullets fired at subsonic speeds. There he resigned himself to his work until he died, or the earth went first. That was until the untimely death of his older brother; a Pathfinder set to depart on the Far Passage in order to settle colonies in the stars. They searched to make Vincent his replacement, as for why? He couldn't tell you.

  -FED 2213VR - A Far East Divide manufactured 2213 5.45x39mm rifle: double action, fully-automatic, double stack bullpup magazine, 30 round capacity. Manufactured in 2215 by Vincent Vance personally, this particular rifle uses a revised design. The 2213VR uses a step-up impact gas chamber that sidesteps the pin reset to create more stopping power. As such, Vance's 2213 is single-fire only. It is equipped with a 2x-4x variable ACOG sight, and is designed for a much farther range than the standard issue 2213.
  -FED 2219 - A Far East Divide prototype weapon not yet manufactured by the FED; designed by Vincent Vance. A drum fed kinetic delivery system that uses specialized interlocking rounds. There are two fire modes: fully-automatic fire that delivers rounds using pressurized hydrogen plasma, and a semi-automatic fire that delivers multiple interlocked rounds using a railgun-esque magnetic delivery system. As the weapon requires secondary resources for use, the gun cannot be wielded by anyone other than Vance as he uses his rig as a delivery system for these secondary resources.
  -SW 1911 - A Smith & Wesson manufactured 1911 45. ACP handgun: single action, semi-automatic, single stack magazine, 7 round capacity. Manufactured in 2019, Vincent found it in an estate sale and restored it with his own hands. Often Vance's choice over his 92FS.

  Summary: An apathetic though genius technician specializing in tactical weaponry and mechanical armament.
  
  Bio: Almost as cold as the environment he grew up in. Dubravko Milivoj was born in the far north of the lackluster Colony Tolstovia on a polar research station. Both of his parents were acclaimed cold-weather specialists who were stationed there as part of a deep-field scientific expedition. Over the years, the staunch team of researchers (consisting of 30 personnel excluding Dubravko) documented the goings-on and occurrences that inhabited the surrounding expanse. Their findings were anomalous and uncanny. Dubravko was found by a unit of Tolstovian Rangers investigating the station's distress signal. Discovering him outside of the facility, bundled in thick furs between the two frozen corpses of his mother and father; he was cradled tightly in both their arms.
  
  The investigation uncovered a sickening horror that's forced Dubravko to tank up about the experience ever since.
  
  Captain Rogovets, the section commander charged with leading the rescue operation, assured the young Dubravko's safe passage home to the main colony - a place he'd only ever laid eyes upon once before during a resupply run with his parents. The Colony Tolstovia was a hauntingly lone but sprawling outpost in the vast emptiness of the unforgiving tundra. At least here there grew trees - a far cry from the barren hellscapes featured north. Rogovets would induct Dubravko into the Musician Corps in an attempt to assuage the boy's trauma. Although demonstrating excellent promise with a plethora of instruments, Dubravko instead opted to assist the Captain within the Ranger's barracks workshop quarters. Already owing experience in mechanics and engineering due to his time at the research station, Rogovets mentored Dubravko and was eagerly regarded as an asset to the many squads that came through on rotation. He lost the arm below his left elbow in a machining incident involving a prototype mechanoid but this never deterred his performance nor any enthusiasm for assemblage and repairs. He received a titanium bionic to restore the absent limb.
  
  Dubravko was accepted into the colony's UC of Technology and graduated with honours alongside completing his training as a Tolstovian Ranger. He'd extend his education and develop a greater understanding of his learned trades: engineering, electronics, smithing, fabricating, mechanics, and general unit maintenance. He even learned the key principles of battlefield surgery and was temporarily attached to a Special Operations Reserve Force Support Group (*SORFSG) to receive training in Surveillance and Target Acquisition (STA patrols) as a special observer.
  
  He was recommended into the Pathfinders by a newly-appointed Lieutenant Colonel Rogovets.
  
  Although somewhat withdrawn from fellow candidates, Dubravko excelled in his practical examinations and maintained an exemplary level of fitness. He failed training once and almost a second time as well, though found ways of bouncing back and pulling through. He received commendations from senior staff for his mental resolve and determination at the end of his training.
  
  Dubravko was promoted to the specialist role Battalion Armourer within his first year, then temporarily employed by the Kalashnikov Concern to help design and manufacture offensive weapons systems for the CNE. He also helped upgrade and employ tactically proficient renovations to squad armours (namely the RIGs) and weaponry.
  
  His latest deployment takes him amidst the cosmos via the Far Passage. He's evasive about his motivations for joining this mission, though its been relatively observed that both he and Katerina Ize have a seemingly close-knit relationship with each other. Dubravko is multilingual, understanding Russian, English, Mandarin, and some foreign dialects.
  
  Personality: Boomslang isn't easy to talk to. He earned the codename after its reptilian counterpart; that's a large and highly venomous snake. Dogmatic in his approach of extreme prejudice against the enemy which suitably affords them no chance of surrender, donning courageous efficiency in the face of adversity, his strict-tempered discipline and hammering work ethic will brutalize any threat that menaces the squad with opposition. Dubravko isn't shy about it - he wants to fucking kill. And judging by his manner, he sure as shit doesn't give a Fuck if he dies while doing it. While contributing sheer ferocity, Boomslang is a Grade-A cynic and misanthrope. Moody and irritable, he'll disregard any attempts of received gratitude with active resentment - possibly a fear of attachment. Seldom speaks aside from barking orders where due, or encouraging morale in the midst of battle.   HUSMER 'HJKG90': an environmental kevlar jumpsuit beneath military-grade armour composes excellent protection and durability for its wearer. Affords projectile and fragmentation protection without greatly reducing mobility. A frustrating factor of this variant is an intricate modification and removal process.
  Bodysuit; a canvas bodysuit provides protection against rain and caustic substances coming into contact with the skin.

  • Installation of lighter synthetic material and plastic components allows for increased outfit durability.
  • Impregnated fabric resists chemicals, and manganin inserts (nickel and magnesium alloy) reduces electric shocks while the fibreglass layer can be found worn by natural disaster response teams.

  Personality: Timmothy is a strange case... for he is acting as if he was another individual instead of his normal self. Usually this fact stems from the reasoning that... throughout his early childhood... he wasn’t really thought of as an ‘someone’ other than family members and a few friends, in fact, he believes that he is just an number within this world, a number that contributes to how much a town’s population has, a number that shows the growth of an town or jobs that the number can fulfill... or even... an number of an slave that will be enslaved by something worse out there and treated as less than human. He wanted to be seen as someone different, he wanted others to look upon him in awe, someone that broke away from the old mold of yet being another stranger walking the streets and instead, become someone ‘unique’. Of course, there are some problems to that... and that relates to his introverted nature and shyness when interacting with others, often wanting to be left alone by himself and with his pet Raven and read some books in his free time. So, he decided to solve this by being someone ‘new’, donning a new disguise as Maximus the Second, acting more ‘mysterious’ and ‘brave’ than he usually is, but sometimes he doesn’t know what he is talking about or often has a few things holding him back.
  
  But hey, he at the very least has the spirit to try and become someone, to set some goals that he will complete, and try to be a someone within said world. And he will try his best to do so. Although, it would still be kinda tough. Moving on, when interacting with others, he usually keeps to himself and doesn’t try to interact with them for too long... after all, they might be trying to befriend the ‘fake’ him, and he fears what they may learn if they found out the true ‘him’. Having an actual friend can help change his view, and be better accepting of himself. For now however, just have this introvert who tries to make himself look cool.

  -‘Dark Wizard Garb’: (Its not the actual garb of a ‘Dark Wizard’, but let’s pretend it is) The Dark Wizard Garb is made out of an rather resistant silk and leather like material, as well as a few pieces of actual metal armor platting his shoulders as well as collarbone area, with his entire body being hidden underneath his clothing and the only parts not hidden by such is his upper-face, which reveals his rather pale skin as well as blue eyes. Underneath his hat is rather well-kept yet ruffled brown hair (due to it being underneath a hat for god knows how long). While it doesn’t seem like much to others, Timmothy at the very least thinks it makes him ‘unique’ compared to the others, which may actually be doing its job, whether it is good or not.
  
  -Journal: A normal old journal he has at hand that he usually writes in... it is mostly used to log the events of each day within it, but he also draws the occasional picture of something that catches his eye such as a scene or an particular individual. But he doesn’t really like sharing it with others... not unless he trusts them first.
  
  -Small Pouch: A small pouch used to hold some of his items within it, it is usually filled with a quill and closed bottle of ink, a snack or two for himself, some snacks for Arc, spices and seasoning, as well as a letter opener. Can hold other small objects in it, but usually it contains these items.
  
  -Canteen: A metal canteen filled with water, there isn’t much to talk about here unless we count the many liquids a canteen can hold... but that really applies for all of them.
  
  Abilities/Skills:
  -Evocation Magic: It is no surprise (or well, there is) that in order to appear as unique as possible, Timmothy has gone with what is considered the most unruly school of magic there is. Timmothy is surprisingly skilled within this school of magic as well, considering the dedication and effort he puts into his magic (as well as not wanting to accidentally blow himself up), and has three different types of Evocation magic to choose from, which is fire, ice, and lighting. Fire being the first and well-known of any mage... his fire magic usually comes in the form of shapes of fire such as a ball of flame wave of fire, as well as a concentrated ‘beam’ (just fire focused in one particular direction) of burning fire that can cover its foes on fire. It is the hardest to control but has the potential to limit the playing field as well as being effective upon things that burn easily like plant monsters or clothing. Next is ice, which is a more controllable type of Evocation magic Timmothy can use. It usually comes forth in the form of icicles or ice shards being sent at foes from his limbs, to large icy winds and even snow to top it all off. Easier to control and can set up for some great traps such as slippery floors. And last but not least, Lightning, which could come in the form of bolts of well, electricity, or into a concentrated source such as a ‘spear’ or ‘javelin’ of pure concentrated lightning. Hard to control but not as hard as fire, and can make for some ‘shocking’ moments
  
  -Writing/Drawing/Mapping/Artistic mind: One of the best things he is at (other than cooking) is his ability to both write as well drawing, with his attention to detail rather spot on, even with words, and can accurately describe something provided to him and recall upon facts he had written down or drawn some time ago. It’s his most favorite things to do in his free time, and helps him calm down and let the artistic side of himself fly. He also can make maps of an area and has a easier time recalling areas that he has already past through.
  
  -Cooking/Chef’s kiss: The next best thing he is great at, he had learned cooking from his father at an early age, and thus, had gotten some tips and tricks in order to make an excellent dish for others to enjoy. His specialty is relating to that of dishes that that relate to meat, often knowing to even make the most bland and tasteless of stew to taste at least something resembling that of an food meal, but he still knows how to bake things such as bread or sweets if given the time.   Bio:
  The Phantom Sin Cult is one of many small, but highly powerful organizations across the world. Meant as a small collective of necromancers and rogues, they are scattered across the world to act as spies, infiltrators, and assassins under their cult leader and head necromancer Amiya Earlsure. Members of this cult seek the powers of the realms beyond theirs and of the limitless potential of lichdom, hence why many generations are born into this cult, to replace the aging members and serve their necromancers by offering their souls.
  
  Estella Dreamsong was the older of two sisters born into the cult, taking her father's place as the right hand confidant of Necromancer Axiom Cane. Trained through the suffusion of necromantic energies of her deceased father's essence, she essentially inherited every part of the man's skills and knowledge, one with extensive information regarding the structure of the Phantom Sins. This transference essentially revealed that he was an agent sent in by the Wayfarer Guild to infiltrate and ultimately destroy the cult for their kidnappings of important figures across the world, resurrecting them into puppets and controlling the highest echelons of society.
  
  Her father was more or less relying on the chance hope that her daughter would carry the torch, as she's completely drowned into every aspect of his knowledge. Somehow, he picked the correct daughter, having Estella become one of Phantom Sins' highly respected rogues. For years, she would continue to dismantle and sabotage the cult. During her time operating within, she would come to learn and taught mostly Conjuration magic, the necromancers each reveling in her prodigious understanding and application of the contractual bindings for demons.
  
  In the end, she decapitated the leadership of every branch within the small cult, burning and looting every base. Between her adventuring days when she joined the Wayfarer Guild and learning more magic, she investigated as many rumors of Phantom Sin members, hunting and killing them one after the other.
  
  It would be four years later since she joined the Wayfarer's Guild that specks of revival of the cult is sparked, one with a more potent leader.
  
  Personality:
  Laidback and mischievous are words that may somewhat describe Estella when among fellow guild members. A person of good social bearing with a hint teasing wit, she is the type to poke and prod others to get them to open up to her. It's a part of her curiosity that lends her to be very approachable for strangers as she serves to be a talented speaker. Always looking to learn more of others and establish friendly relationships, she is an adventurer at heart and gives every bit of energy to continue her line of work.
  
  But when it comes to contacting other realms, or even pulling out beings from the other side, she's quite serious about her work. With firsthand experience on the consequences of a failed summoning and binding, she's not one to mince on precautions. This is the same when it comes to undead. She has no qualms of using the departed to further her goals, but has limited herself to siphoning their skills and contacting them rather than raising zombies. Still, she can still have a confident and cocky smile when things go her way.

  Weapons and Equipment:
  Amber Contract: A dagger found in the depths of an old dungeon, used to anchor rituals or as a spell foci. Passed down to both mortal races and otherworldly beings makes it highly attuned to otherworldly energies. This makes it perfect when it comes to using conjuration spells regarding summoning other planar beings, expediting the time it takes to complete and the binding far stronger than traditional means. Adding her own imprint allows her to summon the dagger from anywhere, even from across different planes of existence.
  
  Specific to the Amber Contract, it can call on beings that have willingly marked themselves for summoning. These beings have very little use outside of the utility and information they bring to the table, being explorers and treasure hunters of their own right. However, on occasion, they do bring useful trinkets not found on this side of reality to sell, as well as act as extra eyes from across the planar barrier, for the right price.
  
  Phantom Sin's Deadman's Clock: The Deadman's Clock is a trinket used by the eyes and ears of the Phantom Sin cult to capture souls for their sacrificial rituals, often acting as containers. Because those sent out by the necromancers of the cult are to act as silent ghosts, this trinket allows those who wear it fly and phase through walls, though they move about as fast as a brisk walk in the air.
  
  Carrion's Tome of Binding and Conjurations: A grimoire made for conjurers and summoners alike. With extensive research from the late Carrion Ravenshroud, it details several spells made for specific types of extra planar beings as well as general use spells within the Conjuration school. Pages remain missing and restored when reunited with the magical parchment.
  
  Skrat: Estella's longest bound familiar; an imp that has been by her side since the Phantom Sins. A bit of a chatterbox whether its vocally or telepathy, he's a useful scout thanks their linked senses and his innate invisibility. With his limited transmutation magic, turning to small animals to spy on others is also very possible, though that's all he's good for.
  
  Bandolier of Items: A series of pouches holding a variety of items. A map, money, and spell components for more complex rituals and spells.
  
  Abilities/Skills:
  Conjuration: Estella's primary school of focus, and one she has extensive experience with. Renowned for the accuracy of her teleportation skills, she's earned her title as The Traveler thanks to her presence across the world using teleportation circles. However, she is the most comfortable when it comes to summoning in every regard. Versed in all things other planar, she is equipped with the knowledge and skills to consistently bind beings to serve her, though not many people actually knows that she enters contracts with the likes of devils and monsters.
  
  Necromancy: A secondary school she dabbles in thanks to her time with the Phantom Sins. She's by no means a necromancer, instead focusing more on debilitating curses and afflictions rather than raising the dead. However, she can communicate and bind the departed souls of others and use their skills in addition to her own.
  
  Assassin: Before leaving the cult, she and many others were servants of necromancers. Infiltration, stealth, and subterfuge were all part of a skillset that made them incredibly hard to find, but also gave them a plethora of useful skills in the mundane thanks to their Deadman's Clock. Now she acts as one of the Wayfarer Guild's infiltrators and trap checkers.
  
  Multilingual: While she can understand and speak the usual languages, she is versed in otherworldly languages that range from Infernal to Elemental.

  Bio: Teman has been a loyal member of the Wayfarer Guild since he first joined as a young man - the third son of a farmer, he knew there would be no land to inherit, and he sought his own path (no hard feelings to his family, that's just how the cookie crumbled for him). He's level-headed and experience, and it will surely be a loss when he passes away - which is why he's made a deal with some friends to make sure his soul sticks around a bit longer.
  
  Personality: Old Man Teman is a cautious and conservative soul. It means he hasn't put out as much spectacular research as his peers (looking at you, Grand Conjurer), and that he's prone to saying sexist or xenophobic things (he's a product of his time), but it also means that he's gone through life relatively safe from mysterious accidents. He plays his cards carefully, kissing up to those more powerful than him as needed, and showing compassion to those beneath him, just in case there's a coup d'état and he wakes up one day with a new boss.
  
  Although many people feel that Teman would do well in one of top Guild position, he continues to decline any role with more responsibility than a senior practicing alchemist. He has seen the stress and danger that comes with leading the way and, well, he's got some other ideas he's like to try instead.

  Weapons and Equipment: At this stage in Teman's career, he mainly works out of the Wayfarer Guild headquarters, and doesn't carry as much gear as a traveling journeyman might. However, he does keep blank parchment, ink, and quills on him in case he ever needs to take down notes.
  
  He also carries an enchanted string of wooden beads, given to him by his now-deceased wife, Beatrice. The lucky enchantment wore off halfway through their marriage, but Teman believes that there's a special kind of magic in sentimental items - Beatrice may be gone from this mortal coil, but he swears he can still feel her presence in those wooden beads.
  
  His most treasured possession, besides those beads, is a tea set enchanted to always have the perfect temperature water. It's great for hosting guests, and even better for alchemical solutions that require very particular amounts of clean water at specific temperatures.
  
  Like most distinguished old men, Teman has a cane sword. However, he neither needs a cane, nor knows how to use a sword properly, so it's usually used for scaring young punks of his lawn.
  
  Abilities/Skills: Transmutation: Teman's life work has mainly been in art of making thing one look like thing two. Or, that's how he explains it to the kids. Every object in the world, alive or not, has aspects. Teman is particularly known for his focus on materials, such as magically applying the hardness of stone to silk. It has some overlap with enchanting, the key difference being that Teman considers himself more intelligent than the average enchanter.
  
  Necromancy: After Beatrice passed, Teman studied some necromancy as a method of familiarizing himself with death and coming to terms with his own mortality. It gave him some interesting concepts to work with, some ideas on what he wants to happen to his soul after his departure, and has put him in touch with some interesting new friends.
  
  Gardening: Teman finds personal peace in keeping a small vegetable garden, with cabbages and carrots. It's always reminded him of his family's farm, but with less chicken poop to dodge.
  
  Hosting: Is there a meeting coming up and you have no snacks to serve? Are you unable to remember the proper greeting for a Corinthean clan elder? Teman has you covered, within reason. He's got sweets hidden in his sleeves, and tea ready to go. After recognising that the road was no place to raise a child, she ditched him in the sands of Corinthe, where he was picked up by chance by a tribe of Fealis, known as the First Tooth clan. The FT raised him as a member, where a nomadic lifestyle nurtured his tracking and longbow prowess. As he grew he also developed a talent for illusion magic, which he used to full advantage in the lifeless desert to trick opponents into endless chases and panic until they would die of exhaustion, earning him the name "The Long Death". Not his first choice.
  
  As time went on, his mind wandered to his mother and her whereabouts, having no clue of his father's identity, and he began a painstaking process of tracking her down. His quest led him to many places, and honed his skills further, as well as gaining him lifelong friends, and a sister who his mother had also left behind (Really Mom?). Finding her was a large factor in his decision to stop looking for his mother, and instead take care of his younger sibling, Mia. Seeking a more just and paying line of work, Corel and Mia made their way to Arcadia to join the Wayfarer Guild. At this point, he has been with the guild just shy of 3 years, and is familiar with most of the members, enough to talk to them, and while he may be irritating at times, his sister is a real treat.
  
  Personality: Corel's humour and personality relies deep on dry jokes, sarcasm and general fooling around. He views himself as the friendly face and shoulder to cry on to the other guildmembers, and has a personality that is irritatingly tough to stop. He has strong morals, and will not hesitate to speak up if he thinks a course of action is incorrect, though his compassion does not extend to those who would declare themselves enemies. Should an ally or friend be injured, Corel is ruthless in pursuit of revenge, a leftover from his "eye for an eye" time with the First Tooth.

  Weapons and Equipment:
  Hindsight (Longbow) - A gift from the First Tooth, Hindsight is a longbow that is enchanted to allow him to launch arrows from greater ranges. He can also cast a spell on the arrows to make them invisible until they strike their target. The bow itself appears to be a combination of rough wood and animal bones.
  
  Necklace of Mia: A necklace made of beads, string and bits of metal, this necklace prevents anyone from killing Corel and makes him invincible, and can kill enemies in a single swing of a sword! Or so Mia says. Corel keeps it to remind him of the responsibilities he has.
  
  Corel's nasty jacket: A jacket that's probably past it's best, Corel's jacket is his oldest possession and belonged to the First Tooth Clan. The fur around the collar has been replaced at least twice.
  
  Daggers: Basic steel blades, balanced for throwing or close combat. Their small size and dulled colour makes them easy to hide with an illusion.
  
  Abilities/Skills: Magic and more mundane abilities.
  
  Illusion magic - Above all else, Corel is incredible at illusory magic. Totally realistic, down to the heat they emanate. The only way to see through them is to physically interact with them, but more often than not, Corel is close enough to be able to adjust the illusion as required. If someone swipes a blade at the creature, he adjusts the illusion to show the injury, slowly tiring his opponent. Some of Corel's greatest hits involve creating moving illusions of himself that reflect his motions in the moment, as well as creating illusions that have physical presence and can be interacted with.
  
  Ranger skills: Having lived in the desert and as a traveller for most of his life, Corel is an incredible tracker, survivalist and doesn't tire easily. He has a good handle on what plants are poisonous, which animals are friendly, and which roads are safe to travel at night.
  
  Well travelled people person: Having travelled far, Corel speaks more than a few languages, including Elvish, Dwarvish and Feali. He is naturally charismatic, and quickly gets on with strangers, able to get information or lodging with ease.

  Bio: The Stitcher is a name most magic users worth their salt would recognize, but it’s not a name Morty was born with but one he took for himself. Morticai was an unlucky young man whose parents were traveling with him, he was an infant and thus couldn’t be left behind with the midwives as none were nursing at the time. It was a pretty standard trek, just transporting supplies between cities. Unfortunately there had been plenty of sightings of some pretty rambunctious Kobolds in the area so the caravan had a few guards, which in turn made it a lot harder for the group to go through unnoticed. What no one knew was that something had driven the kobolds out of their home and that was why they were so prevalent. That something happened to be a forest troll which was drawn to the caravan after they had dispatched some kobolds. It came so swiftly and with so little warning that the first two guards didn’t even know an attack was coming when they were crushed. The other three men fought valiantly while the caravan attempted to flee, but the troll tossed one of the armor clad men at the front wheel of their wagon breaking it and forcing them to flee on foot...which they obviously could not do faster than a pursuing troll.
  
  When Malaka The infamous Stitcher found the scene nearly a day and a half later on his way into town he was ecstatic. Most would find a section of road filled with bodies to be an atrocity, but in his case it was a bunch of much needed test subjects. Yet as the old elf began to animate two of the corpses to carry the others he heard a cry coming from the wagon. The necromancer drew his dagger in one hand, prepped a death bolt in the other and pulled back the wagons flap to reveal a bundle of blankets with a hungry child in them. Seeing the potential one could have in a child subject the old man decided he would take the infant too and make at least a minimal effort to keep it alive before he would experiment on it. As it turned out that minimal effort, which was resurrecting the child’s mother as a slightly more functional than normal undead, was just enough to keep the kid alive. Once it became apparent that the child would not perish Malaka decided that the child would repay his kindness by being his assistant and perhaps one day his successor.
  
  It was a cruel and hard life for Morticai under the necromancers watchful eye, the elf did not reward success very often, and punished failure very severely. Yet over the years what bothered Morticai the most way Malaka’s seeming disregard for life in any form, with the exception of those who could owe him if he helped them, which morticai was certainly in that camp. Even when he could help someone Malaka never made the effort and it confused Morticai to no end. Eventually at age 20 Morty and Malaka finally came to confront each other over that particular stark difference. What started as a conversation quickly became a shouting match, the Necromancer jabbed Morticai with a bony finger saying that “your foolish want to save others lives will no doubt cost you your own” and that “he never would’ve raised the ungrateful turd if he knew it would be this much trouble.” Morticai responded saying “you didn’t raise me, you groomed me to be a crazy grave robbing loon like you.” To which Malaka responded for the several hundredth time “Well perhaps I should’ve left you there to die with your foolish parents.” Morticai in his rage lashed out at the old man, but not with a fist, no he had never even learned how to throw a punch. Morticai responded with magic, specifically the spell he had been training in the most recently, The death bolt.
  
  Malaka had turned his back to morticai at the worst possible moment and was actually caught unaware by the dangerous Black and violet magical lighting bolt, which bored straight through the old mans chest hitting both his heart, and the phylactory he wore around his neck destroying both in an instant. To his horror Morticai watch his master, the one who raised him, die in front of him and no matter what he tried he couldn’t take back what he had done. Morty was devastated, not just by the loss of his master, but also by how easily he had killed him. He felt almost no difference afterwards, but what bothered him the most was how powerless he was to save the elf. That seemed unacceptable to him, how could he consider himself any better than the cruel elf if all he could do was destroy. No one was going to come looking for the hermit necromancer so he was at least safe from the consequences of his actions.
  
  He would go on to bury the elf in a tomb he carved of his own two hands, then he went through the grueling and mentally scarring process of going over his masters notes and research. Whatever shred of remorse he had faded as he read about the ways this elf desecrated the dead, but he had to admit, the elf had learned a lot. He was able to study anatomy, the nature of the soul, and how the lifeforce of a being interacted with the flesh to keep things alive and well. He would extrapolate on his masters studies, testing theories on animals, visiting hospice wards to try and treat those who were suffering from deadly diseases, before finally he managed to develop what he called Lifeweaving magic, a sub branch of Necromancy that could heal diseases and wounds of both mundane and magical nature. With the birth of his new art morticai felt himself ready to venture into the world and test its capabilities. He Joined the Wayfarers guild after a brief display of his talents in necromancy, and has since then begun to attempt to found his own organization known as the Borderless Saints, an organization dedicated to offering free healing and being paid not for their work but by donations. So far however things have gotten off to a rocky start in more ways than one.
  
  Personality: Morticai can be distant and hard to read most of the time. His upbringing had pretty stiff consequences for showing his emotions and as such he has gotten very good at keeping them hidden. This tends to make him come off as uninterested or apathetic but that is not entirely true. He does care deeply for those around him be they strangers or old friends, however he has a very hard time showing it beyond his actions, though he has tried to get better at expressing himself many have said his smiles seem forced, his anger false, and his sorrow empty. He can be altruistic and generous, but it would be hard to call him selfless as he rarely will risk his own safety trying to rush in and save someone’s life before the threat has been eliminated, justifying this with a simply calculation...he cannot save anyone if he is dead, so if one must die so that he can live on to save a hundred then that is simply the hand he was dealt and he will play it accordingly.

  Weapons and Equipment: Morticai carries with him a single long thin dagger, a half full coin purse, an enchanted Glowstone that only sheds its light when removed from its sheathe, a few days worth of food. And a Semi complete Phylactery.
  
  Abilities/Skills:
  The Deathbolt- A spell made famous by the teacher of Malaka, it fires a bolt of necrotic energy that pushes the lifeforce out of the afflicted area weakening the flesh before blasting the weakened flesh into dust. It’s power is governed by the amount of mana put into it. While it is extreamly damaging on a direct hit, it can be blocked with shields, armor, and wards of either mundane or magical nature.
  
  Rise- Any Necromancer worth his salt can raise the dead as a undead servant, it’s just how powerful a servant one can make that differentiates the rubes from the geniuses. Morticai can bring forth some pretty tough undead, usually resurrecting them with bits and pieces of their original power, personality and intellect. However he still has a ways to go as many necromancers outclass his capabilities. However with prep time and his stitcher spell he can produce some pretty powerful horrors.
  
  Stitcher- Living or dead flesh is moldable like clay. Like his depraved master Malaka, Morticai can inject his magic into a targets flesh to move it around as they will. Dead flesh is much easier to manipulate than living flesh however as one does not have to push against another’s magical energy. Skilled enough practitioners of magic can negate this effect by expending magical energy. Using this he can weave multiple bodies together creating undead horrors or wound enemies from a distance as his master did yet he is firmly against recreating his masters work. Instead he uses this to reattach body parts of injured people, mend flesh and bone without leaving scars, and even attack diseases at a microscopic level.
  
  Lifeweaving- Morticai’s own brand of Necromancer healing magic. It focuses on Reassigning Mana and stamina allowing him to drain the magic and stamina of one target and give it another. This allows sick people’s immune systems to get a boost that can better fight diseases, can replenish another’s mana or grant them a second wind, and even help those who are grievously wounded to stave off death for a bit longer. Unfortunately his spellcraft of this nature is still in its infancy and the slightest bit of resistance can prevent the ability from working or worse reverse the process. As such he can only use it on two willing or unconscious targets, or use himself as the first target and choose a willing second.
  
  Anatomical expert- The study of Malaka’s research notes allowed Morticai to study the anatomy of a wide variety of creatures but his speciality is the humanoid races of acadore as he studied them in particular to help with his medical efforts. Due to this he has a pretty unique understanding of kinesiology, the nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, skeletal, muscular,and other systems within the body. This can be used to great effect with his dagger for combat, or when paired with his medical Magic can drastically improve his success rate at healing patients.

  Trivia:
  His master was a known grave robber and criminal. He had killed a few people who tried to stop him.
  
  His parents were members of a merchants guild that worked closely with the Wayfarers. Their death was a tragedy and was mourned by the few who knew them.
  
  Morty uses the Moniker “The Stitcher” for two reasons. It’s a little bit infamous and can help him keep people back, and to tarnish his masters crooked legacy with his good deeds.

  Summary: A reckless, charming half-elven man terrible at remembering names but pretty good with a blade. Has spent a long time freelancing and considers settling down Wayfarer Guild a “calming vacation”.
  
  Bio: Born and bred in Arcadia, Cain has rubbed elbows with most kinds of creatures (and stabbed a few of them, as well). Like most other “half-and-halfs” he grew up with his non-elven mother, and considers it pure coincidence he ended up with pointy ears considering his mother’s vocation.
  Growing up he did not have a natural talent for fighting - seeing how he got the crap kicked out of him on a daily basis - but it was a hunger for more which led him to eventually develop the set of skills needed to actually win a fight. He did, however, have a natural affinity for elemental magic. Combined with having a terrible temperament for studying and a penchant for getting into trouble he got kicked out of “magic school” - getting the beating of a lifetime from his mother - and never managing to master anything other than the earth variety of evocation.
  After spending ages 18 to 28 as a “traveller” (bounty hunter, bodyguard, general slayer of hearts…) Cain joined the Wayfarer Guild, and has been getting on their nerves ever since.
  
  Personality: Brash, loud-mouthed, and energetic - Cain is a take him or leave him kind of man. He has a kind heart and a jovial attitude to match, though, which is probably why none of his companions have stabbed him in the back yet.

  Weapons and Equipment: A sturdy sword carried in a leather sheath across his back. His garb generally consists of leather straps and bracers, covered by soft green silk clothing and a heavy linen cloak (he gets cold easily, okay? It ain’t his fault he has the gorgeous body of an elven princess). Not the most effective armor stab-wise, but it allows him to keep agile and the leather deflects blows of the lighter variety. He’s had the larger pieces of leather infused with magic by a far better enchanter than himself.
  
  Abilities/Skills:
  Plantwhisperer - Cain is able to control most plants, enabling them to grow and bend to his will. He's fun to go camping with.
  
  Dirt and rock-bending - He isn't as good at working other earth-materials than plants, but can mold it a bit.
  
  Sword and dagger - His chosen weapon is a blade, for the simple reason that he's pretty shit at handling any other weapon while he's really skilled with both swords and daggers. He does favor the sword, though, since it looks cooler.
  
  Tavern-fighting - Cain fights dirty. It's not noble, but it gets the job done. For some reason he fights even better when drunk.

  Summary: Once a proud father and loving husband, now he is little more than a monster...a living engine of destruction. Fortunately he does not remember what he had to lose to become what he is otherwise there may be a whole lot more rage.
  
  Bio: The Swampy bogs of Eshlynore are a relatively dangerous place to be if you aren’t careful. Part of the reason why are the wild tribes of Nagaji who call the area home. They are territorial, quick to make violent actions, and of course very xenophobic. Khork once called this land home, he and his mates Kiki and Charia were very close and quite proud of their eggs who were soon to hatch, Khork had earned a good bit of Clout from his fellow hunters due to both of his mates having conceived their Eggs at around the same time a testament to his virility which was a very important thing to his tribe. He was respected enough that he lead many hunts, but his last one was very special. He and several others were out Hunting the greater bog Serpents, an abnormally large snake whose venom serves as a ritualistic Drink mixture for hatchlings. As it turned out however this time the hunters would be the prey.
  
  The Nagiji hunting party was ambushed as they moved through the bogs by a band of men working for an evil mad sorcerer. Though they outnumbered the hunters by at least three to one Khork was able to lead his pack of hunters to safety and even felled a good number of the raiders, yet sadly his attention was split as he tried to guard the younger hunters, and a few sleep enchanted arrows found themselves in his back. When he woke up he had no idea where he was, but he found himself strapped to a cold metal table. Around him were the bodies of several of his kin, luckily none he recognized. He then heard a mans voice saying “this won’t do...you aren’t supposed to be awake just yet.” Afterwards everything faded to black and the next time Khork would awaken he would have no idea who or what he even was.
  
  The Mad sorcerer did a number on the unfortunate Nagiji, mutilating it’s magical aura, and using that to morph and adjust its body. When he finally awoke he found himself within a large iron cage, however certain things had been removed from the now beastly creature. While its old self would have felt fear at the circumstance it found itself in, but the New Khork felt something else entirely...Hunger, and Rage. Eventually the mad Sorcerer would enter the room the cage was in several hours later, But Khork would remain perfectly still, even holding its breath. Several minutes would go by with the sorcerer trying to use his magic to detect the beasts life signs but only growing more frustrated as they revealed nothing. Finally the sorcerer would call two of his mercenaries to open the cell and see if it was still alive. Khork waited his turn but struck a bit earlier than it intended. In the creatures mind it would wait until the door was opened, but it mistook the key clicking into the lock as the lock being undone and sprung at the door. Yet it made little difference, it’s massive frame spurred on by its rippling muscles snapped the iron lock pin like a twig and the poor mercenary on the other side of the door was struck so hard by the gate swinging open that he didn’t even realize he had been killed.
  
  It would take a few weeks for authorities to find the home after a few travelers reported the stench of death near a road. Yet by the time they arrived all they found was a house full of bodies, some of which looked to be half eaten. Scorch marks and claw marks adorning the inside of the walls, and the front door and its frame mangled beyond repair. Khork had slain his captors to the last man and fled their home, yet he had no memories, no knowledge of anything other than his basest survival instincts which drove him away from the house and in the direction of Corinthe, those who spotted him would flee and report it as troll or ogres presence. No one would be able to confirm it until two more weeks had passed when he was actually spotted eating a cow he had just slain. Rather then scream and confront the creature the farmer calmly and quietly fetched the city guard, who themselves came prepared to deal with a troll or ogre.
  
  They used the usual methods of using fire, hooks, chains, and large blades meant to delimb the beast. Yet Khork showed little reaction to the flame magic, its bones stopped the blades flat even when struck at the joint, yet the hooks and chains seemed able to restrain the beast. After the men weighed the risk to reward of trying to get closer to kill Khork versus transporting him to the prison they decided the solution would be to drag the beast back to the city with horses where it would live out the remainder of its intended to be short life amusing the people it had stricken fear into. When Khork realized that each time it pulled away the hooks in its flesh would cause it pain the beast decided to simply follow them.
  
  The Gladiators Arena as it turned out wound up being the perfect place for Khork. The first foe he faced was snapped in half by the beasts powerful jaws after he struck the Nagiji mutant with his maul, and he quickly became a crowd favorite due to its unique way of destroying the competition, they even managed to train him to not eat those he slew by rewarding him for doing so with choice cuts of beef and lamb. As time went on and Khorks competition grew more fierce, Khork would reveal more of the unnatural defenses the Sorcerer had morphed into the creature. Until eventually a match occurred where he pretty one sidedly slaughtered a group of five prisoners one of whom was actually on the Wayfarers wanted list. This caught the attention of the Wayfarers who paid a pretty penny to secure his release into their custody.
  
  That was seven years ago now, and while he had a rocky start, Khork has actually grown into a decent guardian for the people of Acadore. He has learned to understand several languages and even can speak a few words in the common tongue. However due to his savage nature and low intelligence Khork is always sent in with a partner, someone to help him differentiate friend and foe, to help him come up with effective strategies besides smash rip and tear. While originally this was something few wanted to do, as he learned and grew he has become a more desirable partner, after all who wouldn’t want a guy who can carry you, all the gear, and probably the wagon and horses as well.
  
  Personality: Khork is a very simple creature to understand once you spend some time with him. He seeks to Eat, to sleep comfortably, and to be rewarded for his actions. He will typically react to violence with more ferocious violence and is not one to feel fear though he does shy away from pain as would any animal. His outbursts of anger can be rather deadly but are almost always preceded by growls, hisses and perhaps even a roar. He will avoid conflict if he can, but does have a predators instincts and thus will attack if left with no other choices. He is also very loyal and dependable if he has had the time to imprint on a person which usually happens after a few hours of positive interaction. However his imprinting can be a curse as well, those who he associates with negative outcomes and discomfort will find it very hard to convince him they are anything more than a threat or a nuisance. That said those who feed this creature will find an ally willing to run headlong into a burning horse of zombies if that’s what it took to save the one who fed him.

  Weapons and Equipment:
  Natural Weapons- The Teeth and Claws of Khork are comparable to steel and can be replaced in a matter of hours if damaged. Humanoid foes have been felled by single strikes from this creature. It’s tail is also tremendously strong able to snap small trees and even orcish spines with similar levels of ease. It’s final two natural weapons are its breath and roar. The build up of bacteria in his mouth makes his bite toxic akin to the Komodo dragon, while its roar can be compared to a Large ships Foghorn, or a jet engine in volume and can quite easily end encounters before they begin by shattering enemy morale. After all no one wants to fight the thing that roars like the t-Rex from Jurassic park.
  
  Environmentalist- while he carries no weapons or armor Khork is well known for hurling large boulders, uprooting and using small to medium sized trees as clubs, beating men with their own allies, and even tearing off large sections of stone walls to use as makeshift shields or large projectiles. He has found that horses and cattle while heavy are not good projectiles as they move to much to fly very stable.
  
  Abilities/Skills:
  Resistance- Khork is a remarkably durable creature as his main purpose for the sorcerer was to be a front line shock trooper who could take a whole lot of damage without tapping out. In that regard Khork is a total success, seen fighting with massive bone deep lacerations, several perforating holes through his body, he has been lit ablaze with little effect, regularly consumes animals with poisonous flesh, and even when large iron hooks were dug into his flesh he did not lose much blood. His thick blood reduces the effect of bleeding wounds, slows the spread of venoms, poisons , and even chemicals or toxins. His bones and spines seem to have a durability rivaling most metals as even steel executioner blades cannot chip the bone or crack it, and magic tunes seem to be etched into them as noted by wounds that exposed bone. However by far the thing that has gotten him the furthest in life is his resistance to magical changes to his body and mind. High tier mental mages would find his mind to be like a gallon of water in the ocean and would almost find it impossible to even identify its presence let alone manipulate it. Changes to the body such as manipulation of flesh or bone also seems to be incredibly difficult to achieve, and even when successful the changes would only ever be temporary.
  
  Healing- Khork owes a lot of his durability to his regeneration. His blood nearly instantly clots, his skin and flesh will stitch itself back together and won’t even leave scar tissue behind. He has shown that he can regrow even entire organs as he was once disemboweled in the arena by a lion, and after four days of recovery he was back at top form. While his regeneration is immensely useful it requires a lot of energy for him to utilize so he must be well fed and spend most of his time healing immobile for it to be effective.
  
  Toxic- Khork possesses a very toxic bite but that is not all, he possesses two glands in the back of his throat that ferment the bacteria and add in enzymes of his own that will morph the bacteria into a highly corrosive and toxic acid. While it may take a few seconds for it to eat through metal giving those exposed to it time to get the exposed part off, it will eat away at flesh remarkably fast as if putting water drops on a sugar cube. Furthermore those forced to heal such wounds will find it rather difficult as it not only melts away at flesh but will infect and spread toxins into the bloodstream. Luckily the glands only store one spray each and can take up to a week to build up and ferment another shot.
  
  Intimidation- few people have seen anything like Khork, those who can draw comparisons will often compare him to a troll or ogre...only to find he is actually far more terrifying than either of those beasts. If his stature and appearance don’t do it, seeing his brutal antics in action, and hearing his thunderous roar often will. Many foes of the Wayfarers guild have opted to put down their weapons rather than face this monster, and the threat of him eating them alive is a very real one that other Wayfarers will use to their advantage if working along side him.

  Khork is actually 33yrs old but to him it’s like he is seven as he only remembers the past seven years since his transformation.
  
  He is currently the only one of his kind, however the notes on the process to make more was found at the mad sorcerers house and is currently in the wardens custody.

  Bio:
  Candle awoke on fire, no warmth in her body other than the flames.
  
  Sitting in a chair in a lonely room somewhere in the uninhabited far north, sealed inside some sort of ancient sitting room, she found herself locked in a suit of armor that was itself encased in burning candles. She knew rudimentary dwarvish, but nothing else. No place names, no customs, nothing. Panicked by the emptiness in her own mind, she instinctively took up the candle encased mace and shield beside her, and smashed her way out of what proved to be a frigid, ancient ruin.
  
  From there she began to wander, speaking in her broken, empty dwarvish, being driven south, from town to town for her unnerving demeanor, poor communication skills, refusal to take off or put out her strange armor, and tired, sunken face.
  
  She learned quickly, though. Not just filling in the gaps of her broken dwarvish, but learning the common language of the land that the other races spoke. The only thing she ‘remembered’ she remembered with her body. The mace in her hand felt like an extension of her arm from day one, her shield a carapace she instinctively protected herself with. Desperate to find a place to call home, she used her skills to bring down the monsters and bandits threatening the various towns and villages scattered about the mountains. Soon people began to call her the ‘Candle Knight’, and kept away from the almost spectral figure that haunted the mountains. Not having a name of her own, she told the few that spoke to her to call her Candle.
  
  Eventually, this intrepid monster fighter came to the attention of the Wayfarer’s Guild, and they sent an envoy to offer The Candle Knight membership. She accepted readily, and journeyed to Arcadia where the guild was based.
  She quickly rose through the ranks, proving herself tough, strong and always willing to get the job done. It wasn’t long before she was one of the preeminent adventurers, and certainly one of the most visually recognizable.
  
  While there, she caught the eye of several scholars and magicians, who wished to observe her condition. Anxious to learn about it herself, Candle allowed them to run a number of tests. They eventually determined that her ‘curse’ was necromantic in nature, feeding off her inborn inclination towards fire by the way of the candles affixed to her. It was far too powerful for the scholars to break, but Candle decided then that she would delve into the necromantic arts.
  
  But what she found there horrified her. Terrible abuses, desecration of the dead, among the least of necromancers' crimes. She decided that more important than breaking her curse, was to make sure no one was afflicted as she was. The Candle Knight stamps out necromancy and anything like it given the chance. Those who are allowed to practice necromancy in society she watches like a hawk, waiting for any misstep that will allow her to crush them. While she refuses to delve deeper into the necromantic arts, she hasn’t given up on breaking her curse. Someone or something did this to her. If she can find out who or what, she can destroy them, protecting everyone else from sharing the fate she was afflicted with, while hopefully freeing herself. Perhaps she can even figure out who she used to be, though she is happy with the Guild.
  
  It’s been 52 years since she first awoke. Until she finds a way to break her curse, Candle stands silently but implacably against otherworldly forces that prove themselves threats, never sleeping, never resting, until the threat is put down and the people are safe. She’s especially protective of the Guild, the first place she felt like she’s ever had a home.
  Personality:
  Candle is an intense woman. She prefers to listen, rather than speak, and when she does speak, she doesn’t beat around the bush or take feelings into account. A naturally blunt speaker, and prone to bouts of melancholy she nevertheless takes joy in being around other people. She tries hard, quite against her nature, to make friends. While at first it's awkward, and some of her mannerisms are unsettling, most who give her a chance quickly realize that Candle means nothing but well, and is a stalwart friend.
  
  When in conflict, Candle is her same, quiet self. She doesn’t like to talk, she likes to do. Decisive, swift action to end the threat, whatever form that may take. She has a lot of confidence in her moral compass, and will cut someone down, or make a preemptive strike without consulting anyone else if she believes that's the right thing to do. This idea that she knows best has put her in conflict with others more than once, but Candle isn’t likely to budge on the things she believes in, even if those beliefs turn self destructive. She doesn’t admit it, but once she forms a negative opinion of you, it’s nearly impossible to dig yourself out of that negative opinion, no matter what it is you do. At the same time, if she forms an attachment to someone, she will stubbornly refuse to believe fault in that individual unless the evidence is overwhelming and right under her nose.

  Weapons and Equipment:
  
  • Candle Cursed Armor: A suit of armor that is fused to Candle’s body. Riddled with candle wicks, the armor is near impenetrable whilst the candles on it burn, but it grows steadily weaker and heavier as they are put out. The candles on the armor are enchanted, so swift movement and the average amount of wind does nothing to snuff their light, but gale force winds and being drenched in water on the other hand, do. The armor can be damaged, but thanks to Candle’s near symbiotic relationship with it, it slowly repairs itself while the candles are alight.
  • Candle Cursed Shield: Similar to the armor, the shield is impenetrable whilst the candles burn. It affords her other protections as well, such a resistance to heat, cold and necromantic magics, but the protection wanes when the candles go out. It regenerates slowly, similar to her armor, if it’s ever damaged.
  • Candle Cursed Mace: Again, similar to the armor and shield, so long as the candles on the mace are alight, they provide Candle with greatly enhanced strength, and a strike with the mace burns the target as well as crushing bones and piercing skin. It’s more difficult to put these candles out than on the armor or shield, but still, a sufficient amount of water will burn them out with ease.
  Abilities/Skills:
  
  • Sword and board: Candle is a skilled melee combatant, preferring a shield and a one handed weapon above all. She’s been fighting for a very long time, and she’s good at it. Even without any of her candles lit, she’s a deadly fighter.
  
  
  • Evocation Magic: Candle has a penchant for fire. Explosive bursts of energy, raw blasts of power. She is naturally adept at this side of Evocation, however she never spent any time refining the ability so she’s limited to poorly controlled bursts of flame. It’s difficult for her to reach her powers very far. She burns herself frequently when she loses focus, but thanks to her armor this is not a big problem. Burning herself is actually a part of her strategy, as it relights candles that go out. This can be a danger to nearby allies, however.
  • Necromancy: Thanks to her death and subsequent resurrection, Candle has some small skill with the ambient Necromantic magics that power her form. She reviles this power, however, and declines to use it.
  • Unnatural: Candle’s body is little more than a husk kept animate by her armor. This means she has little need for food, oxygen or rest. This also means its difficult to truly kill her. She can recover from almost anything so long as a candle is lit. Even if she ‘dies’ , relighting a candle on her armor will be enough to bring her back. However, she is certain that peeling her from inside her armor would well and truly kill her, though she’s obviously never tried that.
