This is where we can make our characters for the Fantasy Tournament.

Your character should be an OC that you make, not a canon character. You can make him/her however you want! However, your character should not be over powered or unfair to fight against.

Race - Any race that is mortal and vulnerable to attacks is allowed. Demigods or gods are not allowed.

Weapons - All reasonable weapons are allowed. Weapons with powers are not allowed, unless you count the power as your characters power

Powers and abilities - Each character can have up to three powers/abilities. Powers cannot be close to being OP or overpowered. Invincibility and mind control are not allowed.

Physical description: composite creature, Tharraleos is a large, majestic and robust warrior sporting a very toned physique throughout that's built to mostly supplement power with a deceptive amount of agility and flexibility. Standing upright as a biped at six and three quarters feet, his weight totals three hundred, fifty five pounds. Despite nearing two hundred years of age, he has the appearance of one in their late twenties or early thirties. Additionally, he is rather well mannered not only in speech and gestures, but in posture as well. He is almost always seen with his neck and back perfectly straight be it sitting or standing. Tharr's fur and feathers are consistently very well groomed, which gives the former a plush and downy appearance with the latter more streamlined for aerodynamic resistance.


His body is covered mostly in medium length, tan colored fur on a primarily feline frame. Excluding this is his head and neck in which white plumage is covered throughout. The lore is featherless and features a light gray loreal stripe. Perched on the sides of his head are a pair of horn-like plumaged ears that aren't connected to his auditory receptors. These lighter colored feathers are contoured and protect him from the elements.


Bony and angled ridges are seen protruding just above his eyes that give Tharr a perpetual scowl. His eyes are mostly avian in appearance and function, blinking upwards as a result. He possesses black, round and large pupils with yellow irises and the sclera hidden below his eyelid. A piercing and rigid gaze is the expression these eyes primarily convey. His nictitating membrane can be seen on the inner corners of his eyes. Mostly translucent in appearance, this third eyelid sweeps horizontally across the entirety of his eyes and offers additional protection. This serves to moisturize his eyes or to clear debris while not hindering vision.


His beak has a cream colored cere with bright gold making up the rest and a pronounced hook forming at the tip. A pair of ovoid nares are visible at the base that lead to his respiratory system. Dwelling within his rostrum is a pink, elongated and triangular tongue with longitudinal ridges. These ridges serve to guide food down the throat. There is also an adjustable hole in the tongue that closes in the midst of swallowing. It also acts as a vent that lets in variable amounts of air to increase the entry of air to the lungs during flight. It additionally grants increased airflow for temperature regulation during days of searing heat.


Hidden with his bill is a series of protractible twenty eight feline teeth. Four molars and eight premolars are his carnassials. They're a highly effective, self-sharpening slicer and his primary source to chew food. Five inches in length are his four notable fangs in place of canine teeth. These have two layers; the inner pushes the teeth halfway out used mostly for expressiveness, the outer extending them to full length. Between his fangs are twelve much smaller incisors that are arranged in the middle of his beak and are utilized for increased grip on prey. While his teeth are unsheathed, Tharr has the inability to close his bill fully until he retracts them.


An abundance of dark brown fur loops around and connects to the bottom of his neck feathers that hangs from his shoulders and forms a dense and overly tufted mane of pelage that covers the breadth of his chest. Streaks of blonde and black are present throughout. Tharr boasts large and powerful that have five digits each, including a dewclaw that provides extra grip on prey. Though this thumb-like digit is not opposable, resulting in an alternate way to handle everyday objects. Load bearing brown pads are present on each paw, including digital pads on all of his digits, palmar pads on his palms and carpal pads for added grip. Hidden within his paws is a natural weapon for him. Protractible claws can be unleashed from all digits at any time and as a result of extensive refinement, the claws of Tharraleos are not only as sharp as a blade, but have sturdiness that prevents breakage.


A pair of resilient wings protrude from his shoulder blades with an outstretched span of twenty six feet and solid black in color. When not in use, they fold seamlessly along the entirety of his back, drooping over his shoulders and sides somewhat with the bottoms always mere inches from the ground. Multiple layers of small, contoured plumage make up the base with much larger flight feathers outlining the bottom. Twelve primaries attach at the metacarpal and phalangeal bones at the far end of each wing that are responsible for forward thrust. Sixteen secondaries hang from the ulnas that are necessary for lift. A much more elongated band of six tertiaries arise on the brachial region and are not considered true remiges. They aren't supported by attachment to the humerus bone. These true tertials act as a protective cover for all the folded primaries and secondaries.


Black feathers coat his well muscled thighs and end just below his knees. The lower half of his legs have a more avian constitution with a heavily reinforced, golden yellow tarsus. The feet of these limbs are a same colored pair of four digit, anisodactyl talons. The hind toe can freely rotate forward and backwards to lock itself in place beside the outer digits for varying purposes. The front position is best suited for running, climbing and combat while flight, swimming and prehension get most functionality with it facing back. Gold scutes are present on the anterior surface of the metatarsus. Long, curved and black claws protrude from each deeply clefted toe. The digittrade nature of these talons results in him walking mostly on his toes with the posterior part of the foot raised.


He bears a tawny brown feline tail with a length of three and a half feet. In place of a tuft of fur at the end is a series of white tail feathers with a black covert. Two feet in length, it’s commonly seen folded into a wedge shape, though it can fan out for varying purposes. This appendage aids in balance while grounded and frequently shifts about.



Personality: Despite his affinity for combat, Tharraleos is rather amicable towards many issues, occasionally to the point of apathy. He is habitually unconcerned with the problems of others simply out of sheer disinterest. Tharr is a stubborn beast who believes his way of approaching things to be ideal. It is not easy to change his mind, just as it isn't easy to convince him he is wrong or he should care about a particular issue. He’s largely content to let the troubles of the world pass him by and doesn’t bother with issues other than his own. Tharraleos feels at peace with himself and will assist those who grasp his intrigue to the best of his ability. He however, is still mostly indifferent with the entire perspective compared to his objects of interest. He overall does what’s necessary for survival and holds little care for anything at all.



If Tharr has spent an abundance of time in one place, restlessness will likely ensue and he will yearn for the opportunity to travel. He has a desire to see the world and experience its mystery. Tharraleos seldom has a destination and revels in the journey itself above all else. He often has trouble maintaining focus and interest on a single topic. He commonly multitasks and gets bored quickly unless the subject appeals to him enough. It’s difficult to anger him as he takes very few slights to heart.



Notwithstanding his docile nature, Tharraleos will lash out swiftly, violently, and with intent to end the problem for good if provoked. He has a very clear sense of ownership, property, and commitment with notable emphasis on these traits. Breaking a vow to a him is often an unforgivable offense. Undeniably honorable, he lives his by his words and this designation holds great merit. He is extremely confident, though in a more stoic and less outspoken manner. Although he has a strong sense of self-worth and may express it in a particularly abrasive form of self-righteousness.



He has a natural warrior-like mentality, preferring to fight stronger opponents rather than weaker ones and generally shows reluctance to fight those he considers weaker than himself. Tharraleos has incredible amounts of courage, both physically and mentally. That being said, he has the ability to confront fear, pain, danger, uncertainty, or intimidation with no problem. He can easily face physical pain, hardship, death, or threat of death. He acts rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal, or discouragement. Tharraleos is not one to usually take the role of leader. When applicable, he more enjoys being the backbone or enforcer of a group. If this position is given to him and he has no other option than to accept, his natural born leadership is shown. This is when his fondness for impassioned speeches is seen to boost the morale of his followers and to bestow them his immense knowledge.



Powers/Abilities:



Enhanced Condition: A masterpiece of biological engineering, Tharraleos possesses prime physical and mental condition.




Combat Empowerment: A natural ability of the Vardia to increase battle performance in the midst of a skirmish. It demonstrates itself in various ways depending on the warrior and Tharraleos’ variation is more combo oriented. His body is a natural kinetic dynamo, and the more momentum he can generate, the greater the speed and impact force of his blows. Though this is a constantly building and incremental process, even a miss doesn't necessarily negate it so long as he can conserve the momentum, itself, in his response. Each string of five consecutive attacks grants a fifteen percent increase in attack speed and impact force. This rise can continue up to thrice his base capabilities, combusting with concussive force at this point that further enhances the threat of his blows.


The energy gradually winds down when he returns to a state of rest or is disrupted, but the generation of momentum, itself, has to start again from half of its level. One disrupted combo won't completely disperse his accumulated energy, but repeated disruptions will rapidly deplete his momentum. This effect applies to the previously mentioned abilities as well. Furthermore, a colorless aura with a transparent, flame-like contour shrouds his body while at full capacity. When overcharged with hubris, a dual effect takes place with the pride aura outside the combat one as well as the solidified eyes.


The side effect of delving into the ability is that Tharr taps into an instinctual increasingly feral state of mind. This can lead to primal, unstoppable rage that allows him to perform in vastly increased capacity, taking and inflicting damage he wouldn't in his normal state. Tharraleos can lose himself to the animalistic fury entirely at the peak of his momentum building. While this barbaric nature isn't preferred, it's more beneficial than harmful and only temporary as normalcy is steadily gained once he finds himself at a state of rest.



Transformation - Unrestrained Form: Tharr’s humanoid state, in truth like all Vardia, actually acts as a suppressant. Should his base power fail to suffice, these inhibitors can be relinquished to access much greater strength at the loss of some self control. This is triggered by an overflow of adrenaline in the midst of conflict. It takes roughly thirty seconds to complete and is known to be an agonizing process that only seems to fuel his propensity for bloodshed. His overall power begins at five times its normal capacity, though this can quickly double as he plunges further into violence. At this point a dull red outline surrounds his frame. Speed and mobility are not counted amongst that augmentation. Such is only lessened slightly from his standard bipedal capabilities, which irregardless does leave him quick footed given his increase in mass. Travel speeds double, though acceleration is halved. He loses the ability to vocalize words as well. In this state, Tharraleos is devoid of all rational restraints in battle, completely immersing himself in the skirmish and becoming a dangerous warrior for both friend and foe. It allows him to ignore fatal physical damage as if it never affected him and continue fighting with a frightening level of stamina while also being unpredictable and erratic in combat. With his strength increasing tenfold at its peak, he becomes a massive and unbelievably powerful individual with a desire for battle regardless of his physical condition.


His appearance makes a stark alteration with his frame becoming quadrupedal and a prominent hunch in posture. His fur and feathers are noticeably more coarse, lengthy and somewhat darkened, both of which undergoing painstaking natural reinforcement growth to obtain a steely composition. His muscle mass swells a bit, granting strength capable of moving the metric ton of weight that is now his body. He now stands fifteen feet tall at the shoulders with a head to rear body length of thirty two feet and a wingspan of a hundred and thirty feet. The feathered protrusions jutting from his head sharpen. These are nearly dagger-like and naturally made for lethal penetration backed by powerful neck muscles for maximized efficiency. His pupils enlarge to the point they occupy a majority of his eyes. His beak discards the sheathed teeth and instead attain a flesh tearing barbed shape roughly in the form of the previously present teeth. His tongue turns forked and the mandibles of this sawtoothed bill become a set of quadrants, ultimately bestowing a much more ranged bite. The claws of his paws blacken, grow somewhat longer and no longer protractible. The plumage on his legs covers the entire limb. The feline portion of his tail extends to twelve feet with nine feet making up the feathered part. The latter of which now has crafted to harbor bladed properties that serves as a deathly weapon to slash foes with broad, straight angled swings.


Tharraleos loses this form only after losing consciousness in any way, as this offers a chance for his body to calm itself and restore the Griffin to his bipedal form. His full animosity is extremely taxing and can't maintain it for so long before it starts to wear him down at an accelerated rate. The more violent tendencies can be mitigated the longer he strays from combat, though will never subside entirely. If enough damage to kill him is inflicted, this will set off the reversion instantly and render him comatose for a prolonged amount of time.



Weaknesses: His most glaring weakness is his massive size, making him easily targeted and maneuvered around by smaller and faster opponents. Even with all his cognitive prowess, his body simply can't move quick enough to avoid attacks a majority of the time. He's also extremely prideful, which can make him overconfident, overlooking possibilities he really, with his experience, should have seen. Therraleos is also a strictly close range fighter and possesses no magic or ranged abilities. Equipped with only his body's natural tools, Tharraleos’ applications while in combat are rather limiting and can be taken down rather easily if he's careless.

Powers/Abilities:
+Sukeruton (Skeleton): Sukeruton forms around the user and becomes an extension of their will, acting and attacking on their behalf. By default, Sukeruton is anchored to its user and they to it: its purpose is it will move around with the user, although Sukeruton is quite effective as a defence, it is able to distinguish in what it blocks. The user can still preform other spells within the Sukeruton and it will pass through it without complications. Others can be brought within the Sukeruton with the user's permission, and users can likewise choose to leave Sukeruton protective structure. Sukeruton draws on the user's mana in large amounts so long as it is active. Despite Sukeruton's impressive defensive capabilities, the protection it grants its user is not absolute. The user can be thrown out of the upper half of Sukeruton by an enemy manipulating the substance underneath Sukeruton. The only known ways to attack the user while Sukeruton is active is either to draw the wielder out of the technique and then attack, bind and restrict its movements, or to break the defence with overwhelming force. Kai's Sukeruton has two right arms, which are conjoined at the elbow, and one left arm, although it is also able to form a second left arm as needed. The Sukeruton if summoned to it's full size instead of ribcage, or ribcage and an arm it will wield a sword within it's hand. The full form is hardly ever brought out by Kai as it consumes a high amount of mana, so he usually sticks with the ribcage, and the ribcage with arm.
+Dark Magic: Darkness Magic is a type of Magic which allows users to manipulate and control destructive Dark Magic. This Magic has a physical form used for destroying objects, blocking enemies' attacks and picking up objects.
+Transformation: Within his "Grimification" Kai's magical and physical abilities are all heightened. For example allowing him to use a technique called flash step which is moving at a fast motion making it seem like teleportation. In this form his scythe changes as well as his appearance. The draw back from this boost in power is that if he gets to carried away the grim will try to take over him and put him in a berserker mode.

Hola kemosabe, I got a question. what about the physiological traits of a race? lets say... ogres with their strength and stuff. Would those natural features be counted as powers?
 
Gryphtaur Gryphtaur Your character would need to have each attribute in the power "enhanced condition" as an individual power. So super speed, super strength, reflexes and jumping would be independent powers.

Im thinking that he has beak, claws, sharp tail and a non human body makes him more challenging of an opponent than human shape fighters. I think your character is more of a boss monster than a selectable fighter, if you understand my reference. So if I think its easier if your is human shaped. Sorry

For example, a vampire is still human shaped.

TheFatherofSniping TheFatherofSniping Your character can have a pistol, having two is not going to give opponents enough time to react. If you want you could have a fantasy long range weapon like crossbow or bow and arrow or darts or knives. Or a pistol.

Okay. So I basically unmutated Tharr and made him a normal Vardia. He's human shaped now with normal fur and feathers, though he now has access to a form even more fearsome then the Tauroid before. Let me know how it looks.
 
Name: The Experiment

Picture: The Experiment is made of iron rather than stone. The head is a plain metal sphere with a glowing hollow square on the front. The square rune changes depending on the Experiment's "mood" (typically white for neutrality). The torso is a simple metal cylinder. The arms are rather small metal cylinders mounted to iron spheres on the sides of the torso, but both end in rather large iron cylinder forearms and a metal hand. The legs are also rather thin metal cylinders ending in large metal boots. The legs are mounted to a metal hemisphere on the bottom of the torso. Finally, there is a small metal dome on the Experiment's right shoulder with a dark blue rune on top of it.

If the torso is cracked open, a purple energy can be seen radiating from the golem-evidently the golem's animating force.

Personality: The Experiment is a mostly oblivious entity, often accidentally ignoring anyone trying to talk to it or accidentally knocking stuff off tables. In general, the Experiment is uninterested in things and ambles about aimlessly unless instructed otherwise. Interaction is possible but somewhat difficult, and even then, the Experiment is mute, meaning the Experiment will typically interact with the face rune changing colors and gestures.
The only thing that snaps the Experiment out of its oblivious personality is if it finds itself in battle. At that point, the Experiment enters a sort of battle rage and charges at its opponents, attempting to pummel them with its fists. It will rarely resort to the output rune unless there is no other way to attack.
Weapons: Metal fists. Predictable, but pack a heavy punch. Comparable to a sledgehammer in strength and speed.
Output Rune: The Experiment can fire powerful bolts of ethereal energy manifesting as a lightning bolt at its opponent. However, building up the power to fire the Output Rune requires the Experiment to stand still for a couple of seconds.
Metal Armor: The Experiment is made of iron, negating the force of some attacks but takes extra damage from powerful fire. Electricity has a chance to temporarily stun the Experiment.
Powers/Abilities:
Unstable: If the Experiment is damaged to the point it can't move or if the Experiment is destroyed, the animating force within the Experiment will break loose and cause an explosion.
Basically a self destruct.

Bio : Word of the tournament got out to a ring of wizards. The wizards were fully aware that they could not participate in the tournament, as none of them were particularly adept at fighting. To counter this, the group of wizards decided to create their own warrior that would represent them. And as such, the Experiment was created.

Personality:
Snezhana- Or simply just hana. Is a very merciful, bright minded and soft spoken. She is a very gentle girl who often thinks first before speaking especially since Yemu, a mysterious spirit is also possessing her body. She hardly talks and expresses herself in front of others but her body language often gives it away. She is a simple child who has a innocent perspective in things. She often shows fear and gentleness

Yemu- Yemu, the brains of the operation. This mysterious spirit is the reason why Snezhana is a registered fighter. Unlike Snezhana, Yemu seems to be more calm and well collected. Yemu has a rather sly and confident personality, a complete contrast of Snezhana. Yemu acts as the brains while Snezhana acts the brawn. Yemu often does most of the thinking when it comes to solving problems or fighting. Yemu can read Hana's thoughts but often pretends that they don't hear it. Yemu's wisdom has lead Hana's life quite a couple of times already. Yemu often decides what Snezhana should do especially when the problem is too hard for Hana to solve. Yemu doesnt seem to possess any physical form nor feels Snezhana's physical pain. Yemu is invisible to the naked human eye. Only those with spiritual eyes can see Yemu, which is seem to be just a fir- like aura surrounding Snezhana.

Weapons: No specific weapons but Snezhana does carrying a Japanese schoolbag used by elementary students. It contains nothing at the moment. She can store things in it.

Powers/Abilities: Insta-freeze- Technically not instantly freeze anything in sight. Snezhana has the ability to release ice from anywhere on her body. Her freezing power is fast, ti the point that it seems to be near instant freeze. Snezhana's ice abilities is very flexible. As long as the ice came from her body. She can connect to other ice that is not her own and use it to her advantage. She can't control ice unless her own ice connects to the others. Hana is known to freeze the ground in a instant like freezing speed. Anything that is inside her 8 meter radius is frozen immediately after just one stomp of her foot. Snezhana can freeze herself but she can feel the coldness of the ice, thus not recommended to freeze herself more than 4 minutes. She can create snowflakes as big as dinner plates. Usually her basic throwable weapon of choice. She can create ice spikes anywhere as long as she remains in contact with her self made ice. She has no troble using her power much, it's just that Snezhana tends to not use it much for some reasons.

Bio : It is unknown where Snezhana got her freezing abilities but one thing for sure. She was convinced by Yemu to participate on the sparring.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The armor he wears is only for aesthetic looks. It offers little to no protection against melee based attacks and only marginal protection from even low power ranged magic spells. (It just makes him look cool)

Personality: Vigil is a calm and collected individual. Normally he spends most of his time at home but will occasionally go to the local arena to accept a challenge. He respects those he fights and has never killed a single soul ON PURPOSE.

Powers/Abilities: Short term energy barrier. (Projects a transparent golden hexagonal pattern energy barrier that lasts for a minute. When in effect the user can't attack but he also can't get hurt. The shield can be broken by a piercing weapon such as a spear, a pike, or a stab from a sword)
