Fandom Fallout: New Vegas

Damien nodded. "Yes, but not just employees. I'm looking to construct an entire country, but our current means of doing so are slim. But we still Before he died, House spoke of a Platinum Chip that contained something that could drastically improve New Vegas. From what I can assume, this Chip upgrades the entire defence network of New Vegas. Picture a single Securitron being all that's required to police the entire strip? Imagine what an entire army of them could do. It's the House Edge, literally." Damien spoke. "If what I believe is true, it was intercepted near Goodsprings. It's location is unknown now, but reports indicate that one of the Chairmen and his Great Khan hired guns took it back to the Strip. Meaning that we won't have to travel very far to get it back, we just need to convince whoever took it to give it to us."

"That's our priority, this MUST be recovered at all costs. Some sacrifices must be made, but it's for the greater good. And I'm going to say this now, people are going to die in the progress. But I cannot afford to sacrifice the dream of Vegas, she contains far too much potential. We can very well restart human civilisation, and we are the undisputed masters to a new frontier."

"Sounds like fun. The Chairmen, huh? Looks like I'm headed to The Tops."

Cain thought about it for a moment. An army of upgraded Securitrons. The amount of power one person could hold with them at their command was unfathomable. The question is, what would Damien do with that power? Cain wasn't quite sure he wanted a country full of balance. It sounded boring to him. But he liked Damien.

"I guess I'l be off then." He said to Damien, giving him a little wave. "Ta ta." He began to walk towards the door.

Doc raised his brows as Murdoc started to pull out weapons, starting off with the Powerfist. "Those are some... interesting trinkets." He stuffed the caps Leo had given him into his back and watched Murdoc closely. Doc knew he wouldn't need any of the stuff Murdoc had pulled out so far, heck, he wasn't sure he was strong enough to use any of that stuff efficently anyways. He looked toward Raina, she was fairly small too, and didn't seem like the "up close and personal" type anyways. He looked at Murdoc again, "Those might be the wrong trinkets for this kind of crowd." @Haruhi Suzumiya @Deadkool @GrieveWriter

Damien looked at Hellsing for a moment before he headed directly back up the elevator straight to the penthouse, where Houses terminal was located. Once he was up, he sat down onto a chair he took from a nearby room and began to access the information that House had contained for his long-term plans for New Vegas. Most of it was just statistics and calculations, but some parts of the plan stood out. Damien was now the King of the Strip, and if Cain played his part, a potential offer as a general of the Mojave's armed forces could come to play.

For now, his work was to easily improve the mistakes that House made. Economics, architecture, manufacturing, the list went on. Damien would still play the upcoming Second Battle of Hoover Dam like a game of chess, a game that he was determined to win. It was likely that he could win as well, all he needed was the Chip

Murdoch sighed at the response of the doctor, then scoured through the bag again before pulling out a noticeably clean checkered suit.

"How bout this then, Smoothskin?" Murdoch asked "Got it off some posh Hayward who was travelling with some Kahns, little party got me some nice stuff, probably heading to vegas at the time. He looked rich enough."

Murdoch laid the suit out and presented it. " Who wouldn't want to make sure that their enemy knows their lesser than them?"

"So, mister salesmen, got any Med-Tec stuff? No offense, but I really don't think you know what mint condition means." Tesla said, sitting on a nearby rock. Really though what was this guy doing as a merchant in the middle of nowhere? Maybe he was on his way to Vegas. Well, not much way of knowing is there. Still if this guy had Med-Tec stuff, Tesla would start seeing dollar signs. Though he'd haggle him lower than whatever price he came up with. He still had about 400 caps left.

@GrieveWriter

(By the way Med-Tec is the parent company for Vault-Tec, Future-Tec, etc.)

Murdoch grumbled a bit "Uhhh, the Kahns had a bunch a Psycho and Buffout," Murdoch grumbled "Some other stuff that I plan on keeping but the Psy and Buff I can give for 7 caps a piece."

He continued searching until he pulled out a set of 9mm pistols, "Now these are guns for little ones. Less powerful than the 10mm of course but makes up for it less kickback and high stability." Murdoc said before setting them aside before pulling out another small pistol. He was about drop it in with the rest when something caught his eye, on the handle was engraved the image of a saint, with the word Maria inscribed above it.

"Actually might keep this one." he muttered before slipping it into his other pack, he then proceeded to add a Varmint Rifle and 9mm SMG to the pile. "These here guns are for more range and less kick, not as much damage as I'd like but everybody picks there poison."

Hellsing barely noticed the two men he was too busy with all the alcohol he saw on the bottom floor of the casino "AHAH they didnt have this type of selection at the tops HAHA" Hellsing was already starting to feel a little tipsy his 2 other bottles of whiskey and vodka didnt help me before he came "Imma just take some of this cause apprently the big Shoe is dead" Hellsing said in a reference to Mr House" But no one was there to hear him except the two bot that took place of the other bots before. they didnt seem to shoot him at all just stand there uncaring. Hellsing took a minute to examine them then he walked up to one and stared at it face to face"Rust buckets all of yall" Hellsing said before proceeding up to the penthouse floor to find the man he believes is called Damien. "Hey you were talking about that platinum chip right and Mrs Cottage is dead so im guessing all my little "Mess ups" are forgiven and your looking for the platinum chip tell me is it true" Hellsing questioned the man

Rai gazed down awkwardly at the weapons the ghoul pulled from his bags - She looked almost as if she was afraid. She shuddered a little bit, wondering how she would get out of this. She didn't want to carry a weapon around - At least not one more than her gun, because it would terrify her, but she didn't want to offend this man by not buying anything. Right about when she was sure there was nothing this man could have that would interest her, she noticed the ghoul pulling out a suit. Rai actually found it somewhat interesting - Maybe it was worth buying. "I'll give you 75 caps for the suit," Rai said, taking the caps from the pouch at her waist and holding it out.

(@DrCompton @Deadkool @GrieveWriter )

(This post is kinda short... I didn't really know what to say. Or do.)

"Sold." Murdoch Retorted with another small roll of the eyes, he picked up the suit and brushed some dirt off it and rifling through its pockets for anything that he may have missed the last time "Belongs to some hot shot Chairman from the TOPS, wouldn't go wearing it near there little lady. Don't worry, I cleaned it up after I acquired it from its owner."

Frowning, Murdoch reached into the suit's inner pocket and slipped out a Chairman membership card.

"Aw, didn't know that was his name." Murdoch said flatly "Thank dear old Benny for his contribution to your wardrobe."

Murdoch held out the folded up suit, the look of blatant disinterest still engraved in his features.

"I'm not holding it against you, but the Strip doesn't have an endless supply of Securitrons for you to destroy. The man that I was talking to before is receiving the Platinum Chip, I'm pretty sure he can do it alone. Of course, you are free to help him if you wish." Damien responded before opening some more documents on the terminal, searching for whatever he needed to ensure that Vegas won the Mojave. "If you do however, don't cause a shootout. It's bad for business, and we need the revenue as it is right now"

(@zach10arrow)

Hellsing thought for a minute before finally responding to the man "Hmm so your saying that i can help even though i just killed all those bots which was three but still. Alright ill help but the caps better be a large amount like im talking about a good-" Hellsing though before he finished "Wait a second win the mojave what do you mean by win and whats does that plantium chip even do all i know is the value of about 500000 caps so i better get a huge amount of caps off this and i mean a huge amount of caps coming back to me on this" Hellsing questioned Damien

(@zach10arrow)

"How does 50,000 caps sound?" Damien replied. "That reward alone will get you just about anything. I'm making sure that the Mojave belongs to Vegas and that she prospers into an independent nation without outside interference. While the NCR is good, they can't hold onto their own civilians at all. They would make the problem they've caused bigger. And god knows what would happen if the Legion took the Mojave, I'm preventing that at all costs."

"Hmm 65000 a good spot to watch the legion burn to the ground and one time let me hold the platnuim chip for a little bit and I will help no problem at all" Hellsing negotied with Damien hopeing he would let it go no question ask "oh and about the secutrtrons I'm not apologizing about that" Hellsing said. Hellsing though for a quick second on any other questions he wants to ask "finally tell me what does the chip do I know he doesn't want it for the looks it's something and 200 caps on its something to do with them rust buckets" Hellsing said curiously

Damien shrugged before taking note of the Securitron's. "From what I've gathered, it upgrades them. It also upgrades Vegas's defences enough to essentially hold the entire Mojave from the Legion and the NCR, maybe both at the same time. I'll be holding onto the Chip once I upgrade the Securitrons, but after that, you can hold it for a while. If you destroy it, god help you..."

Hellsing laugh at the little treat he was thrown at him "seems like a lot for a little chip. Hmm did way more than I expected alright still my question is do we have a deal" Hellsing said hoping he would accept the deal "I'm one heck of a shot with this here sniper been shooting my whole life and have no problem handling myself and I'll live by myself after this if you want me to or you can keep me up to you" Hellsing said hopeing it would convince him to take the deal

Tesla saw Rai completing a business deal and looked to The Doctor. He said "So, what brings you to The Mojave? Vengeance? Conscience? Caps?" Tesla was interested to find this man's story. He seemed quite interesting, and it wouldn't hurt to travel with a doctor. Tesla dug through his pockets and took out a large box with a black screen. In bronze lettering on the back of the box read "Med-Tek Super-Assist " Tesla began adjusting the knobs. He finally stopped as 6 iron (the song) came through quietly, but clearly. Tesla sat on a nearby rock twiddling his thumbs, waiting for Doc's response.

Rai smiled, took 75 caps from the pouch of caps at her waist and handed them over to the ghoul. She took the suit shortly after and held it under her arm, since she didn't have anywhere else to keep it. "Hey, would you happen to have a backpack, too? I don't really have anything to carry this in," she said. "If you don't, though, that's fine too." Hastily she added, "Oh, and it's been a pleasure doing business with you." She looked over at Doc and Tesla, only to see them having a conversation... From what it seemed, about what they were in the Mojave for. If her opinion was wanted, perhaps she could poke in and say something?

"Why not come to the Mojave? Seriously, the only real problem here is water's pretty scarce. Oh, and the deathclaws. They're... A problem, too, but aside from that, the Mojave's actually pretty nice," Rai concluded. Well, there was the raiders. But to be fair, raiders were much less of a problem than they were to the Northeast, especially around DC. Oh, and then there was radiation poisoning, though she had never needed to worry about anything. Her Geiger Counter had hardly even gone off while in the Mojave, except for in a couple areas... Though she had gotten her radiation dealt with shortly after, so she was fine. Probably.

(At long last... Sorry. I've been getting distracted. A lot. ;. ;)

"You have a deal. Your payment will come once you've recovered the Chip. Our guest before will be receiving this reward as well. Now, you're dismissed" Damien replied before the elevator signalled some new arrivals.

The former Ranger was gathering the representatives from the Three families to ensure that got used to the change of pace in the Strip and to ensure that Damien's future rule went successfully. The head of the Chairmen (excluding Benny), White Glove Society and the Omerita's all gathered under the Penthouse floor as Damien turned around and made a seating arrangement in the other room, with him being at the head of the table. Hopefully, nothing serious would come into action. While he had a hunch that the Chairmen would enjoy the new perks of his rule, the Omerita's likely would make a move against him. The White Gloves would remain quiet as usual, but that sometimes didn't matter.

If any troubles started, Damien and his Securitrons would put a bullet in the head of anybody who stirred up trouble, likely Big Sal and Nero. The two of them were unnecessary evils on the Strip, and would need to go if they tried to stage a coup.

Once everything was in order, they all say down and the meeting was underway.

(@zach10arrow)

Hellsing excited that he made the deal now had to wait for any further instructions instead of attending the meeting he decided that he was going to head off to one of the casinos to still waste what he had left of the chips but as he left the lucky 38 there was a massive crowd of people outside the lucky 38 making it almost impossible to walk straight through. It doesn't help the fact that everyone was watching him eyes all on him as he left "What are you all looking at scram half of you guys are wasted anyways" Hellsing words didn't seem to move the crowd at all "I said scram" Hellsing ordered and slung his submachine gun in the air and fired a couple rounds into the air. As the people started to run Hellsing jumped into the crowd as a couple of the bots jumped in to the crowd to help move them. On his way to the casino a random man grabbed Hellsing and drugged him to the side of the building out of sight "The legion knows all Damien will not rule the wasteland" the stranger said to Hellsing keeping his head pushed down to the ground. Hellsing didn't retaliate because he was curious what he was doing to do or say "Work with the legion and your riches are far greater than what he promises you bring us the platnuim chip and speak no word of this to Damien" As the stranger finish he shoved hellsings face to the side and sprinted off making his face unseen to him as Hellsing raised his head the man was gone already in the crowd of people "Well this just took a nice turn of events" Hellsing said with a smile

Doc looked toward Tesla, "Huh? Im travelling the country, seeing what there is to offer every where." He shrugs, "Megaton was nice and all, but the raiders and made the area pretty intense. I know the deathclaws are a problem out here, but if New Vegas and the surrounding community are as untouched as I hear, then it's probably the best place on the earth as far as I know." He shrugs. "If I make a little money from my supplies then I make a little money, but I dont plan to stay around the Mojave for too long, just to see what it has to offer... I will say the ghouls are much nicer, and I haven't come across any feral ghouls yet out here, or as many random radiation pockets." Doc scratched his jaw, "The only problem with the Mojave is the people fighting for power. Back home it was just basically the Brotherhood policing up super mutants, no one tried to cross them, usually." @Haruhi Suzumiya @Deadkool @GrieveWriter

"Oh there are feral ghouls, they just keep below ground more often in the Mojave." Murdoch said flatly as he repacked up the merchandise "Tons of ghoul cults though, I know of one near Searchlight and rumors of another set up near REPCONN."

"Radiation pockets may not be as spread out, but their definitely much more contaminated." Murdoch said before turning around and looking at the path he came from "Super Mutants and their Centaurs were one thing, but the Abominations just seem like overkill in terms of mutation. I will say though, those radiation pockets are literal gold mines if they haven't been picked clean yet."

He shouldered his duffel bag and counted the Caps in the pouch as he began to walk away.

"We should do business again, maybe I'll have some more loot next time." Murdoch said with a grumble "But at the moment, I have a particularly beneficial business negotiation underway at Primm. Don't get yourselves killed."

And with that, Murdoch began trekking in the general direction of Primm.

Wait. Did people seriously come to New Vegas because they thought it was peaceful? It seemed bizarre to think about, especially from her experience - For one, the Securitrons could mow down everyone on the Strip in seconds if they saw it fit or if someone capable enough with technology took control of them or... Something. For another, the Three Families were incredibly cutthroat, from what she'd heard, at the very least, and since she had been kicked off the Strip for winning just a little too much, she couldn't imagine what would happen to someone that crossed them seriously, or at the very least with the intent of crossing them.

Perhaps she would wear this on the Strip. But then again, this had come from someone being killed, hadn't it? Oh, God. This... I don't know if I can wear this. She sighed internally, sat on her knees on the ground and started sorting out the suit. She wondered if, perhaps, there had been caps or valuables left over in the suit - Things that might direct her to the owner, whoever it was. She started sorting through the pockets, finding little of interest - A membership for The Tops, with the Chairmen's leader being the owner, from the looks of things. Well, I hate to say it, but it sounds like one of the Families got some karma. She continued to search, finding a few Tops chips, a cap or two and... a particularly unusual poker chip.

It was patterned black and white in a way similar to a roulette, and at the center 'Lucky 38' was inscribed on either side. "Well, I suppose I know who to look to first." Rai glanced over at the distant pillars of light and towering walls around New Vegas. "Doc, we're going to the Lucky 38."

(@DrCompton @Deadkool )

(If this doesn't work... Or shouldn't work... Lemme know, and I'll fix things.)

Walking along the road by himself, Murdoch glanced back at the group before frowning and continuing.

He pulled a plasma grenade from his coat and began tossing it up and down absent mindedly.

Good, this should keep them fumbling until he's made the trade. hatever idiot thought a poker chip was worth as much as he was offered should just blow their own heads off for even attempting to survive in New Vegas.

But when you've got Mr. House all riled up about something, then it must be serious.

And money was a serious issue.

The Smoothskins should be able to throw House off his scent long enough. If they go where he thought they would go and luckily enough if that air-head actually wore the Chairman's suit in there.

But having it on them should be enough. Just enough, his buyer would get their package.

Reaching into his pocket, Murdoch absent Mindedly rubbed something.

An identical platinum poker Chip to the one he'd left in the suit.

Go ahead little ones. Have some fun before House gets ya. He had all the time in the world. Murdoch's frown deepened as he recalled what the buyer had told him. They'd been surprisingly honest with what the platinum chip did. Now Murdoch was a simple bandit, he believed that there should be a limit on everything.

No one man or demi god, or whatever House was, should ever be allowed too much power. Which is why he knew that the buyer would hold up his part of the bargain. How could anything survive a world like this without embracing natural competition? Not real survival, just worthless coddling.

This thing needed to be destroyed, but it had to be done right.

He checked the engravings on it once he was sure he was out of range of the patrolling NCR, although patrolling was putting it lightly since they were still fighting the affects of alcohol at the moment.

Yep, authentic, ready for a journey the likes of which no man would see.

Hellsing though to himself about what happened before he realized the stranger slipped something into his pocket. He pulled out a necklace it looked like "No they did not give me this" Hellsing knew exactly what it was. The mark of Caesar he knew what it did and how they don't just hand it out like candy to people unless they know they can use them "You rotten bastard Caesar you just made the worst mistake of your life" Hellsing made his way right back to the lucky 38 but stopped and though to himself "Hmm no imma try to find the chip first then go to him about it" Hellsing then put the mark back into his pocket and headed up to the lucky 38 to find and quickly question Damien on what he knew about the chip. All he knew that the lady known location was possibly on a roaming merchant after he took it from someone in cold blood. Hellsing barged into the lucky 38 screaming "Damien I need you were you at man" Hellsing yelled out to the empty seeming place of the lucky 38.
