Fallen (Thane Korino & Fangs9090)

Stella briefly stood up and walked away from the corner. Instead dragging over the game set of 'road travels' or rather the board, the dice and the pieces. The dice mostly seemed to be regular six sided but there were some others like a d4 and a d8 but in less quantity really. She held up the 'top' of the box which had the title of the game printed across it along with the image of an eerie highway at night surrounded by forests.

Edmund went over to the corner and grabbed the pizza boxes. "Well it might be a bit tough to explain all of it at first. I think it may be helpful to ask some questions along the way instead.." Edmund admitted. "Basically you pick a character piece, you can name the character whatever you want and give them what ever backstory for why they are traveling along the highways. Along the way some odd events and creatures will appear which can be investigated into, battled and so on. Oh! Also, since this is the newer addition they have the characters walking until receiving an vehicle card in late game. Since cars were too OP early on.."

Hikaru blinked. "...wow, games have gotten complicated since when I was a kid. It used to be we just threw a ball or climbed on things. It was more fun than it sounds." She looked at the game and the pieces, still trying to figure out what was what.

Edmund let out a shrug a bit. "Not so sure about that. This game has been around a-" Stella glanced over to Edmund in a bit of a small signal. Which made him simply end the rest of his thought and statement with a bit of a shrug.

"Are you in?" Stella simply asked, in a quiet manner.

Hikaru nodded. "Sure, I'll play. Not sure I'll be very good, but I'll take a try."

The two carefully brought over the game board of sorts. It seemed similiar to a 'monopoly' like set up seeing as the spaces of the board were made out of the outer border with various spaces having different names upon them that mentioned a general location. Like 'gas station' or 'bridge' or something there other..

Hikaru looked at the game board, tilting her head slightly. "So...how do we play?"

Edmund sat down next to the game board with his legs crossing over one another. He looked over to Hikaru. "Well, first you pick out a game piece that is supposed to present your character in this scenario and after rolling you move them about the board according to the number of the di. Depending on where you are or where you land, there are small symbols in the corner and a card of similiar symbol is drawn to cause an event to happen. Which can lead to various things happening along the way but those are likely to be explained as they arise.

Stella seems to have already picked out a piece. A large motorcyclist looking stereotype and puts them on a the square of the board that is called 'the city' at the top and 'start' in its right bottom corner. She picks another figure from the box that seems to be more of a chubby feminine character with a camera and briefly glanced toward Edmund for confirmation before placing the character down on the start point as well.

Hikaru watched them pick out their pieces before leaning forward to see which options remain.

(Hey, I don't mean to be picky, but this seems like it's going kinda slow. Also, I can't really make very long posts with this part involving the board game. :/ )

Edmund and Stella went ahead and grabbed two dice from inside the gamebox and then proceeded to wait for Hikaru to pick which ever character they wished. A few pieces remained and most resembled such as the following:bikers, hitch hikers and students seemed to be the most apparent that remained to choose from.

Hikaru stared at the pieces for a few moments more before picking one of the students. She picked it up and placed it next to other pieces, glancing at Edmund and Stella to make sure she did it right.

The two let out a subtle nod in agreement noticing Hikaru was staring and seeming uncertain. Edmund let out a bit of a shrug of his shoulders and leaned back. "guess we'll go clockwise in order to be less confusing. I'll go first." Stella responded with a shrug in reply and tossed the dice over. "I just barely gave you an idea of how play this game last week and already you want to go first.." she muttered with a bit of a chuckle.

Hikaru looked at the dice as they were passed over. She tilted her head slightly, wondering what their significance was.

The two, Edmund and Stella that is began playing and continued playing. Likely going to carry on deep into the night or some other later hour. It was pretty much a game night or a sleep over of sorts between the two of them. Neither one talked much but rather made small gestures and signals between small actions such as hand gestures and facial signals in order to inform each other of more secret plans or excitement. They would also try and teach Hikaru the basic rules of the board game of sorts.

Time would pass along at some rate slow or fast depended on the person. The rain would have likely stopped or passed over in an hour or two. It may even be heard through some of the rather thin walls hear as a faint patter would no longer be heard. Truth be told that noise would likely be coming from some other apartment room that needed repairs as leaks were getting in..

Hikaru played along with them, eventually learning the rules of the game and getting the hang of it. She never figured out what their gestures and expressions meant though.

At some point later into the night the two would recline from their game or at least that one. Edmund would gesture his hand in a shake in the mean time looking to Stella. "think I'm done for a while. Going to go ahead and pass out on the couch for a while, should be up in two hours or so." Edmund huffed and scratched at the back of his head before standing up. "you two can stay for a while until then if you want, just keep quiet I guess." Edmund got up and flopped on the couch...

Hikaru looked at Edmund as he flopped down before looking towards the ceiling. "Is it still raining outside?"

It seemed Edmund rather knew himself very well. As soon as he made contact with the couch it seems he passed out rather immediately upon it. Stella on the other hand was rather awake at the moment. She slipped out her phone and looked at its weather app. "No, the rain stopped ten minutes ago." She whispers.

Sleep had indeed taken Edmund as he lied there upon the couch. However, that did not seem to mean that noise or sound would cease from him. Edmund had a bit of a small breathing problem that could be noticed as he slept on his back. Which he was doing at this very moment. He began snoring in his sleep, and rather loudly as the buzz of an alarm clock going off in comparison. He remained sprawled out as his right hand dangled over the edge of the couch’s cushions while the other reach toward the top of the backboard of said couch.

Stella replied toward Hikaru’s mention of a walk with a slight nod of her head. Before looking back to the game, the game pieces, some of the food and all of the stuff she had brought along with her. She slowly slipped her phone away, and ‘older’ seeming model seeing as it was a flip phone and lacked the ability to touch the screen in order to open an app or something of a similar sort. The phone may have be heard closing with a clap like sound as it was put away. “Don’t forget to knock when you come back..” Stella rather whispered again. Before starting to put the games and so on back together in a ‘neat’ stack and looking at the spines of the boxes in order to make sure they were in a preferred order.

Hikaru nodded. "Alright, I will." She turned and walked to the door, opening it as quietly as she could before closing it behind her. She looked at the door to remind herself of the room number before making her way down to the front door. She stepped outside and took a deep breath before looking around so figure out which direction to go.

The door number was put across the door in silver numbers. Plated in some kind of metal of some sort or another, '135'. It seemed the storm or the rain had passed over as mentioned as the rain had stopped. Puddles were likely to be everywhere along the ground. The air would hopefully still give off a sort of moist smell or feeling or likely would seeing as the rain had passed by not too long ago.

Someone would rather quickly try to approach behind Hikaru. Immediately trying to bring a gloved hand across her mouth from behind and a knife up toward her throat.

Hikary froze as the hand and knife came up from behind her. She glanced to the side in an attempt to see the assailant, but she was surprisingly calm. She attempted to speak muffled words. "You may want to reconsider your actions."

The assailant although they were already covered in all sorts of gear and baggy clothing as to hide their identity from plain view tried their best not to be looked at. The assailant tried to wrap their gloved hand tightly around Hikaru's face and mouth and keep her facing forward. The strength behind it was a decent grip that anyone could have or attempt. The assailant growled. "You may want to reconsider who the heck you're hanging with. The roach wants to see you, and it would be in you best interest to come quietly." The knife tried sliding close to Hikaru's throat without making a direct contact with it or slicing into it. The blade was somewhat unstable in the assailants hand.

The assailant would take a small step back. Trying to bring Hikaru back a little with them as well.

Hikaru blinked, a bit confused now. At the mention of a roach, she only thought of the little bug she had sheltered. Mostly out of curiosity now, she moved back with the assailant, wondering what her little friend could want and how he had communicated with this person.

The assailant whom had grabbed onto Hikaru continued move backward in step. They loosened their grip just a little from around Hikaru's mouth and the sides of her face and brought the knife a little forward away from her throat. Seeing as Hikaru was being rather compliant at the moment the assailant woudld try to pick up their pace. Heading toward an alleyway by stepping backward. There was a car waiting a green SUV with the backdoor already open. The engine of the vehicle was still running and there was a driver already inside, waiting.
