The park was relatively peaceful that day. There weren't very many people there and the weather was nice, a cool breeze blowing through the green leaves on the trees.

Hikaru, a young cat girl, had just climbed to the top of the playground before looking down to her best friend. "Come on, slowpoke! I'm waiting!" She smiled as she teased him.

Juno was down below on the ground of the playground. Kicking somewhat at the sand on the ground below in his sandals. The cool breeze that went by caused his hoodie to flow along somewhat with it, his shorts being blow with the breeze as well (not off to be clear). He looked up toward the girl on top of the playground and let out a bit of a sigh. Slipping away a toy into one of his hoodie pockets to play with later. The toy being that of a cool knight action figure, with movable arm action!

"I'm coming!" He shouted cheerfully and immediately began making his way up toward her. Climbing on some poles that had stuck out of the ground for sliding downward instead. Doing so with great speed and mostly relying on his legs to keep gripped on as he made his way up and toward Hikaru. "Hehehe!" He chuckled, his black cat tail was up and somewhat curled over. His head and facial features were mostly hidden under the hood of the hoodie like always, but it was starting to slip off from the climbing earlier.

Hikaru called out encouragement to him while throwing a fist in the air. "Come on, Juno! Don't let the mountain conquer you! Conquer the mountain!" She smiled as she watched him climb.

"M-mountain?" Juno said a bit confused and unsure. He immediately began looking about and around for a form of mountain or mountains nearby. Having not noticed any around on the way to the park. Did a mountain grow out of the ground like in yeterday's television episode? He asked to himself quietly. As he had made his way up to Hikaru. "I'm up." He replied, his tail swishing back and forth. "But where's the mountain?"

Hikaru giggled. "You're standing on it, silly." She raised her arms to gesture to the playground. "This is our mountain! It is here that we rule!" As she spoke, the wind blew, adding a dramatic effect. It should be noted that she may have watched too much television.

Juno’s tail swished back and forth for a moment. “oooooh..” He said in a moment of comprehension, realizing that Hikaru was referring to the whole playground. Along with said gesture he began looking around the entire playground that was around as if some new unfound land, either that or as if he was looking to find something lost down there, below him. Getting a high viewpoint could help find some ‘new’ or lost toys that were lying on ground somewhere nearby. “We definitely rule!” He threw up his arms excitedly. Wondering, what would be the first thing he would do as king! “What should we name the mountain?”

Hikaru paused for a moment before slowly lowering her arms. "Uuhhhh... I dunno. Something that sounds really big! Something that will strike fear into our foes!" That was another quote she learned from television.

Juno lower his arms for a moment as well. His tail continuing to swish back and forth behind him. "Something will strike fear into our foes? We have foes?" He blinked for a moment in thought. Although he was not thinking about it too deeply about the subject or another. His ears flickered for a moment but decided to focus back onto the name of the mountain. "Mt.Enormassive Colossus?" He said trying to make up something on the spot. It was mostly just mixing a bunch of things together. He was not particularly good with naming but it sounded like a good attempt inside of his mind. He was bouncing just a little with excitement and thought of ruling.

Hikaru gasped. "Mt. Colossus! That's perfect! It sounds big and amazing!" She bounced around excitedly.

(Hey, sorry about not answering for a while. I been pretty sick and I'm still recovering. I'll try to get back to posting.)

Juno let out a bit of a chuckle and shrugged his shoulders. He started to lean back on the heels of his feet. "Mt. Colossus it is then.." He mentioned. A small smirk on his face...

Hikaru put her hands on her hips. "Now, what shall be our first order of business?" She paused to think before hearing an ice cream truck across the street. She looked over in the direction of the sound. "Ice cream!" She jumped to the pole that Juno had climbed up on and slid down half way before kicking off and jumping to the ground. She took off running towards the truck.

Juno had raised his hand a little and was about to state an order of 'business'. He assumed using a hand raise gesture looked more professional in someway or another, it definitely felt more professional to him for a brief moment at least. It was going to be about identifying their enemies and allies or what their main goal or idea was to be as the rulers of Mt. Colossus. He decided to stand guard on top of Mt. Colossus. One because it made him feel all official and two because he did not have money for the ice cream truck or at least not for today..

Hikaru looked back as she ran. When she noticed Juno wasn't following, she started waving back at him. "Hey, aren't you coming!?"

Juno continued to stand guard at Mt.Colossus looking around. "Nah!" he shouted. "plus someone has to stand guard!"

"Okay!" As Hikaru was looking back and running, she stepped down onto the street. The sudden drop from the sidewalk around the park down the road caught her off guard and she stumbled out in the path of an oncoming vehicle. There was the sound of the car horn and the screech of tires, but before anyone could react, it was too late.

Juno heard the screech of tires and the sound of the horn. His attention was mostly elsewhere on trying to look out and think of enemies and also patrol and guard Mt.Colossus from any enemies that may approach its barriers at some point or another. He was spared, most of the view. His attention had turned back over to the scene. He stood there, just staring. Shutting down..

Hikaru's mother was already running to her daughter, screaming and in a panic. Others where looking on and it wasn't long before an ambulance had arrived.

(By the way, feel free to time lapse whenever you're ready.)

Many years had long passed by sense that particular day. Juno was no longer the child he once was all those years ago. Although hist outfit had not changed much from a hoodie and jeans which were worn for the most part. He had grown to be around a tall six feet or so and maintained a slim figure. He had been walking by the park on his way back to his apartment. Carrying a blue popsicle held in his mouth. The wind was blowing by heavily this day and the sky was mostly covered by clouds. Juno thought he smelt rain, or at least that moist scent in the air before rain started to descend from the sky. He pulled his hood up just in case.

(I had meant to have drawn Hikaru's older self by this point, but I got sick and haven't had the time. I'll get on it soon though.)

Over on the playground, on the very highest point, a figure stood staring at the sky. They wore loose pants with a loose shirt blowing in the wind. They were facing away, their long purple hair blowing in the wind. It looked oddly familiar...

Juno sighed. This day had been pretty basic for the most part which was not a negative thing for the most part but there was an air of depression that seemed to be surrounding it or what it felt like to him. He needed to hurry home and pass out on the couch or something of the like. He briefly glanced toward the playground noticing someone over there for whatever reason. Kids were not likely to be around because it was already a stormy day. He pondered who it was for the moment but began continuing onward back toward the apartment with a shrug. Probably a person waiting to meet up with another, he saw in movies that college and high school kids occasional went to such areas to escape or relax.

The girl on the playground continued staring at the sky for a while until a drop of rain landed on her nose. She flinched and wiped it off before briefly glancing around. Rain drops were beginning to fall now and she didn't want to get caught in the rain, so she jumped down from the playground to the ground. In order to find shelter quickly, she broke into a run, quickly dashing through the park and across the street before leaping halfway up a building and climbing up the rest of the way to the rooftop.

(Alright, I'm finally home and unpacked, so I should be able to get back to my usual posting routine.)

Juno continued on toward the apartment it was not that much further now. It had began to rain which was a bit of pain as the chill ran down his exposed tail, his hoodie protected his head somewhat from the rain but was not very effective of keeping him from getting soaked for very long. He immediately began to make a quick jog headed home, seeing the apartment building just ahead in front of him. He was glad he did not leave his keys accidentally at working again, that would have been a pain.

There were a few folks just sitting around at a bus stop across the ways, not very far from the park itself (in fact on the side of the building). Neither had an umbrella so both were planning to wait for the bus to arrive while under the small dome or roof provided as bus stops. Seeing as it was getting later in the day the small lights inside turned on as if it was starting to become night time. "Now imagine if the seats had heating.." one of them chuckled to the other. Who was too busy seeing someone leaping or nearly leaping up a building. Quite surprised and silenced by that event and distracted away from the book and conversation.

Once up on the roof, the girl sprouted a pair of black feathered wings before flying off over the rooftops. She made her way to an alleyway where she had prepared a temporary shelter. As she landed down between the buildings, she made a note to herself to find a proper place to stay.

Amice walked into the apartment building with a bit of a shrug. Glad that he was finally out the darn rain. His hoodie was soaked from it and he had to immediately remove it. Laundry day would be tomorrow anyways so might as well just wait until then to toss it into the dryer with a bunch of other clothing. He proceeded down the hallway. Making his way to his own 'apartment', taking out of his keys and unlocking the door. It was more or less like a living room that connected straight to a small kitchen, a bedroom in the back and a single bathroom.

Letting out a sigh as he quickly tried to go in.

"The hell we got here? A Birdie cat girl flying around the city?" A deer in a suit and hat asked. She held up one black umbrella with one hand and held a pistol mostly hidden under his sleeve with the other. "Don't know much about flight control, but I would say this is a pretty unsafe place to land. Scadattle." The deer gestured to get out of the alleyway and further on down the road with her right hand, holding the pistol.

(Is this deer male or female?)

The girl looked over towards the deer. "I have nowhere else to go. This is where I'm staying for the moment. I'll leave after I find someplace better." She turned her back to the deer, walking to the small shelter she'd made previously from old boxes and discarded pieces of cloth.
