To say Valaria fell would be an understatement. Everything about the kingdom was purged from the history books. Rewritten to not show the atrocities that were committed in it's final days.
The once proud kingdom covered most of modern day Europe everything from Germany to Romania. The people of this land were considered amongst the greatest of Philosophers and warriors of their age. But like most things nothing is forever.
In the year 75 BC when a young Roman upstart by the name of Julius Caesar started to bring his Legion to invade Valaria.
The war between Rome and Valaria lasted well after Caesar was assassinated and well into the next century. Their lands once spanning most of Europe was now only consisted of Eastern Romania with more land being taken every year.
Year 125 AD
The Valarian King Xercies Dracule desperate to find away to defeat the Roman dogs left his land to search for away to reclaim all that was lost. With him was his right hand Alexios a bastard son of a whore who more than proved himself in their losing war.
The two traveled for five weeks until they happened across a traveler. The man was beauty incarnate like that of angle. Yet Alexios could sense a great evil in the man. Paying no head to his friends warning Xercies made conversation with the man.
The man promised Xercies everything the power to not only bring Valaria to It's former glory but to also conquer the world. Have more wealth than any king before him, deal with all his enemies. And all Xercies had to do was serve the traveler.
Alexios tried to sway the king away but the king wouldn't listen to his friend. Valaria was going to fall any day now and if this man could help so be it. The man chuckled and produced a chalice for Xercies. He proceeded to slit his arm and have his foul blood fill the cup before giving it to Xercies.
Xercies drank the blood till there was nothing left. The blood burned his body. Breaking it apart and putting it back together the pain nearly killing him in the process. By the time the pain faded his hair changed from blonde to snow white. His once blue eyes became a firey crimson red. His top two canine teeth grew a few inches becoming fangs. His nails grew and became pointed.
The traveler offered his blood to Alexios but he refused much to Xercies displeasure.
With his new found power the two Valarians head back to Valaria. Not a moment too soon as the Roman Legions were making their final push. Xercies strode onto the battle field and single handedly destroyed the Legion.
It's General Gladius tried to escape running through the woods like a mad man. Xercies found the man and pinned him to a tree before drinking his blood until there was nothing left. The blood seemed to heal Xercies and make him stronger.
As he dropped the dry man to the ground he looked out to his lands and smiled knowing this was only the beginning.
