That One Fear In My Enemy's Eyes
Hey guys! ChoShadow here (Shadow for short)!
I have a new RP idea I wanted to run by you, and I think the ladies will love this one the most though I doubt guys will find it boring either. (
)
So, here we go!
This RP is inspired by the anime called "Freezing" and the video game/anime known as "Valkyria Chronicles," however many aspects have changed and been intermixed to suit a new style of story telling and play.
It takes place in a semi-futuristic Earth (2088) where the human race came under attack in the year 2032 by a race of massive humanoid aliens known as the Torhaus. From these creatures very flesh humanity, led by Dr. Yuchi Sakagami, discovered a way to harvest a compound which they called Torhens. This compound is synthesized into small objects known as Thros Artifacts, and implanted into the backs of select female warriors known as Valkyria.
These implanted Artifacts (which are about the size of a dime) are capable of magnifying her physical prowess by manifold. The greater her genetic compatibility with the Thros Artifacts, the greater number she can have implanted in her back and thus the more powerful she is.
Even a Valkyria with only two Thros implants is capable of insane levels of physical prowess, with one notable example being their ability to deflect or dodge any munition of any caliber from any firearm possessed by the UTDA armed forces.
And now here is where things get... ahem... interesting.
Males who are also genetically compatible with the Thros Artifacts become known as Eirhrar. The Eirhrar are capable of opening an energy link between themselves and whomever the Valkyria it is who chose to engage in a ceremony known simply as a Union (and don't get any ideas, because it's far less fun than it sounds). During the Union, the Valkyria removes a single Thros from her back (a very painful process) and implants it into the back of her chosen Eirhrar. The implant then allows him to create the energy link between them in combat which greatly amplifies her already incredible power.
But this link, known as Transcendence, is... uhh... complicated.
The Eirhrar must remain motionless for the duration of the creation of the link (which takes an average of 30 full seconds), and during that time he must be within 10m of his Valkyria. From the moment the creation of the energy link has begun, the Valkyria experiences a very... ahem... pleasurable sensation. In short, it's a rapture of the highest order akin to climax. She doesn't actually reach that level mind you, but to her it certainly feels like she's on her way.
When the link is complete, the sensation ends immediately and the Valkyria's mind is, rather miraculously, completely refreshed and wiped clean of previously negative emotion or thought allowing them to fight at their fullest with a clear conscience. A bit risqué in concept, but very, very effective in practical combat situations.
One other thing gentlemen... If Transcendence is interrupted or fails to complete properly, a whiplash effect occurs immediately rendering the Eirhrar unconscious and causing potentially lethal levels of damage to his body (particularly his brain). Luckily the advances in medicine and healing chambers ensures that such damage can be reversed regardless of how severe it is, but the fact that it happens at all is a gruesome reality that even one misstep could end the life of an Eirhrar leaving his Valkyria vulnerable and alone int he face of their overwhelming foes.
Once Transcendence is complete, the Valkyria transforms by growing a pair of wings made of blue and white light energy, her hair turns white, and her eyes glow a bright crimson red. It is in this form that the Valkyria is at her most powerful, and capable of feats even a large group of regular Valkyria could never accomplish. In this form she can fly through the air at speeds exceeding Mach 10, deflect even the most powerful energy attacks from the Torhaus aliens and their attack craft, and also generate a powerful burst of pure energy from her chosen weapon which can obliterate nearly any thing in its path.
If this final attack is an act of desperation, but sadly it has already been used many times by Valkyria in battle due to how powerful and numerous the Torhaus threat is. The attack immediately ends the transformation and reverts the Valkyria to her base form.
The RP will begin in the UTDA academy where the female protagonist characters have literally just received their implants and are now on their way to the academy to learn how to be Valkyria. They'll be taught how to fight, how to analyze a situation, leadership skills, support skills, and most importantly, how to find and properly work with her Eirhrar.
In short it's a mix of futuristic combat, high school, and drama. Hopefully I've piqued your interest!!
This concept is quite dear to me due to my love of both aforementioned sources of inspiration for this RP, so if you are certain that you are dedicated and have strong RPing skills then please let me know!
